To start off, I just wanna say that Fae (acuar-io) has some absolutely STUNNING sims, it's hard to exactly word it, but their sims are SUPER recognizable, and their saves (Snow flower, Cozy save, etc) are SO nicely edited, so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes 🫶😩

@oshinsimblr is the reason why I started storytelling (even before my simblr time) and why I try and find a story-related reason on why my sims/characters do certain things, her videos are also SO comforting and i love her lovesick series!!! and of course, @minimooberry the whole inspo for this simblr and why I render in blender!

Did I misunderstand your earlier post about the watcher situation? it seemed like you were against shane and ryan and that other guy starting their new streaming service, but that would contradict your most recent post about youtubers feeling entitled to add revenue. If youtubers arent entitled to add revenue because youtube hosts their videos, isn't starting your own platform an acceptable solution?

starting a streaming service is a terrible idea not because of the method of monetization, but because of the way they are choosing to do so. if anything, taking money direct from fans is probably the most ideal way for things to work (albeit not the most lucrative and presets some unique social hazards); i get paid via patreon myself. i think it's core concept was revolutionary: let fans fund the things they like to see directly (or as directly as possible lol).

it's the way in which they are approaching the streaming model. actually first of all, streaming itself is just like a completely insane and bad idea for so many reasons including "video hosting is so fucking expensive". the selection of shows they have is way too limited to justify the change in model. other streaming services are openy struggling to make shit work. dropout's success appears to have been a black swan event and not a business model to emulate. its a pretty delusional idea

removing your backlog from public eye (i think they've backtracked on this one already) and making your work less accessible is a disrespectful way to treat an audience. they have a patreon of over 12k members paying at least 5 bucks a month (even if patreon eats 30% of the money and taxes are another 15% [before write offs], that's a lot of fucking money). im not sure why that wasn't considered as a more viable means of raising funds. it would be significantly less shameful to make a video asking for patreon donations and drawing attention to its existence rather than something that is going to take so much time, effort, and money that it honestly beggars belief lol

i dont think starting your own paywall is the solution when they already have a solution that works: the patreon direct support model while hosting vids for free. making your work harder to access helps no one, ultimately.

sorry this took so long to answer anon than it should have,,,, but I finally have the spoons AND motivation to do Velvette yayyy yippeee !!!!

Velvette disability headcanons lets goooooo!!!!!

I said in this headcanon post that I felt like Velvette was the most able-bodied of the Vees, which i DO still think, But its been a month or so and I've done a bit of thinking over her

I feel like regarding physically, I could see her being hypermobile! LIke Vox, because I headcanon them both with ball joints and kinda weird anatomy but hers is a bit more doll-like obviously. I don't think hers would give her as much pain though, as I feel like she manifested in Hell like that (and I feel like Vox has them via upgrades)

Digging more into that, I could see her having EDS like how I said I could see Vox with it, but with less of the joint and hypermobile pain and more metabolic and muscle-related side of things!

Ex: I feel like she struggles with maintaining muscle and weight, which is a struggle to deal with considering how much of her personality is curated to online spaces and looking perfect, so she tries to stay on top of it!

Velvette only gets as annoyed as she does about Vox or Valentino not caring for themselves because how intense her physical symptoms can get if she doesnt keep up. And also theyre idiots for not listening to their body's alarm signals.

Hoard of snacks everywhere. I know she stockpiles snacks but also just supplies in general. just in case,,

I also feel she's hard of hearing! Maybe not TERRIBLE hearing while alive, but maybe her death spiked the damage? I love thinking about a sinner's death impacting their life in Hell!!!

Vox designed her hearing aids, which she admittedly doesn't use TOO often, mostly because she forgets and also tends to break them when she gets frustrated with them..

Vox gets annoyed about how often he has to fix them but he'll repair them anyways. ONLY because its her and she'll yell at him over them even if she doesn't really want to wear them in that instance

I don't feel like Velvette would get self-conscious over wearing them or posting involved with wearing her hearing aids because shes that #bitch and fuck you stay mad they were designed just for her <333

not to get book conspiracy theory on main BUT I personally think that Elucien fits Guilty as sin? (the new tswift song sjm posted on her story) if she is doing a little hint to the next acotar book

Not to be soooo literal but the “without ever touching his skin” works more for Lucien than azriel as literally elain has never touched lucien. Shes touched and almost kissed azriel, theres no not touching there.

I also think the theme of guilt works more with elucien then elriel. Yeah rhysand told azriel to not get with elain, which people take to say FORBIDDEN which. Get off the floor thats not forbidden at all lmao. BUT i can see elain feeling guilt for wanting lucien because of how the IC acts and talks about lucien. Hes treated like shit even by feyre, who’s supposed to be his friend. Hes constantly sent away and the ic keeps him away from elain. That gives a mindset of “i have a choice, but even if hes the one i want to choose my family acts like they dont want that for me.”

Also the theme of being locked away in a previous relationship makes me think of elain being kinda trapped in velaris. Endos won’t stop coming into spaces and will always avoid DNIs, I don’t know why but it just seems like they think they can do whatever and be done with it.

I wish more people would see the harm that endos are doing, how they’re causing issues for systems that are trying to learn about what’s genuinely causing them to have experiences like extreme dissociation and things like that.

Endos are terrible and I want them to stop trying to make CDDs seem fun and quirky when they aren’t. You can love and hate your system, and you can have good and bad days.
