After note: Doing this was honestly so helpful and interesting, especially with the lesser known languages and I got a little more detail on the most common of the various languages of India (Hindi - Telugu). Some similarities can be seen in certain language groups, such as the wide effect of the Latin word “lupus”.

There’s just so much to learn in each of these words, in Swahili for example “mbwa mwitu” translates as wild dog and I’m sure there are many paths for interpreting and studying the word in multiple languages. Had I put these in a more etymologically correct order according to lingual families there would have been more of an scientific input, but now it just shows the diversity of the human languages of this vast world as well as the beauty of the word “wolf” - or  mac tíre or ചെന്നായ (cennāya) as learned in the process.

@mal-loups it made complete sense and that's basically how I feel. I can appreciate del Toro's style to an extent (really enjoy his storytelling, hate his sense of aesthetics), but I don't think I'll ever see anything truly groundbreaking from him cuz his work is often so similar (especially his characters, it's no wonder why he always cast the same actors when all of his characters are the same) @lup-irl Pacific Rim is the only one of those that is significantly different than the rest which is definitely why it's objectively the best of his entire catalog, but even then his visual style in Pacific Rim is still pretty typical del Toro.
