Hi Nony,

I don’t know the full story as Roe87 and I were only on the periphery of each others circles and didn’t directly interact much. All of the information I have is hearsay, but from what I understand they initially pulled a couple of fics to be reworked as original works to be published. Not long after that, they announced they were taking a break from fandom, and a couple of months after that, they deleted their works and orphaned their gift fics.

I’ve not heard or seen anything that says they were forced out of fandom, nor have I seen anything from my own experiences in fandom that would suggest that’s what has happened.

There were several of Roe87’s fics that I quite enjoyed, and there were some that weren’t my cup of tea, but whichever way you float it, losing an author who had 100+ works is a huge shock to the fandom.

I do know there are several fan events in the pipeline, and there is a big push for this year to be the year that we reignite the Stucky fandom - I’ve also seen a few fandom olds come back by way of leaving kudos and comments on new work - so who knows, maybe they’ll come back one day 🤷‍♀️

Six Sentence Sunday!

It has been a hell of a week and weekend, folks, and I am Exhausted with a capital E. But...I am always so excited when I'm tagged in this, because writing brings me joy and allows me respite from the chaos of my life. Not me working 67 hours this week. So thank you all, truly, for always tagging me, and for letting me step out of the storm for a bit and onto a calm shore where I can read all of your incredible words as well as share my own. The crowd sways like the waves of an ocean, depositing a still-staring Alex into an open corner near the bar. He’s just pulled his eyes from the ceiling and starts up to the bar to order his first of hopefully many drinks of the night when he pulls up short at the sight of a lone figure leaning against the wall in quite possibly the only dark corner of a room filled with flashing strobes and the glow of cell phones. It’s the mask that Alex notices first. Solid gold, with a simple looping design carved along the edges for a touch of flair without being too flashy. The stranger’s eyes are closed, gold eyeshadow painted to match the openings of the mask. His hair, Alex notices as the stranger runs a hand back through it, is also made of gold. On anyone else, it might just be called blond, but on this person, this Greek god, there’s no better word than gold, as if he were born wearing a crown.

look i am feeling particularly unhinged this evening and all I can seem to write about is worms so here have this unedited monstrosity that should probably never have made it out of my google drive

“If you were a worm—?”

“Buck, I don’t think we want to hear the rest of this question.” Chimney cuts him off and Eddie tries to hid a snort in the sleeve of his turnout. “I certainly haven’t spent much time imagining myself as a worm. Hen have you ever thought of yourself in worm form?”

Hen rolls her eyes and shoves at Chimney’s shoulder. 

“I was a worm once.” All eyes turn to Ravi who is staring forlornly out the window as if he doesn’t realize he said anything and judging by the wide-eyed look he has when he turns to face the rest of the crew, he definitely thought that was an inside thought. 

“Care to expand on that, Bud?” Chimney raises a brow and Eddie glances at Buck who looks completely enthralled waiting for Ravi’s response. 

Ravi ducks his chin into the collar of his coat and chews his lip. “I was high as all hell. College was weird okay. There’s a reason I dropped out.”

“I thought you decided you didn’t want to be a doctor?”

“I never wanted to be a doctor.”

“What does this have to do with being a worm? Buck, where were you going with that question?”

Buck sits up straighter and jostles Eddie’s shoulder in the process. “I was just wondering, okay. If you were a worm—.”

“And we’re here,” Bobby pipes up from the front. “Let’s go.”
