Loki whines desperately the second your warm lips leave his cock. You watch, amused, as his hips snap up in a hopeless attempt at chasing your mouth, and how they just as quickly fall when he realises it’s an impossible endeavor.
His strong arms are stretched out above him and restrained to the headboard by his own magic. Vibrant wisps of green encircle his wrists and pulse wildly with each tug, though they won’t go anywhere until you utter the word.
He knows this, yet he still strains and pulls like he has a hope of escaping. It’s endearing, really.
“How many times is that, my love?” you ask, stroking his shaking thigh with your fingertips. It’s a gesture meant to reassure as much as tease.
Your lover lies nude amongst the crumpled cream sheets, chest heaving, brow sweating, and hair fanned around him in a glorious mess of midnight curls. Your perfect, pretty prince.
“T…ten,” he replies, still panting heavily and subtly rolling his hips as bliss ebbs away from him once more.
As it has done for the past thirty minutes.
Your fingers continue to lightly stroke his thigh and he sighs softly at the sensation of being so openly adored. “Ten times you’ve given up your pleasure for me,” you coo, taking care to let a pause linger heavily in the air.
As expected, those big green eyes snap expectantly towards you and he seems to almost hold his breath in silent anticipation. There’s a “will she or won’t she?” etched into every line on his face, a wordless plea settled between those partly opened lips.
Tonight, you have no intention of disappointing him.
“Such a good boy,” you praise him, scooching along the bed so you can cup his face and brush some stray curls back into place. “How lucky am I that you’re mine?”
His eyes light up beneath you, shining like pretty emeralds at your adoration. “Yours,” he repeats back softly, and you watch the rosy pink hue that stains his cheeks and the way his broad chest puffs up with pride.
“Mhmm,” you murmur back, leaning in to nudge his nose with yours. “The prettiest prince in all the land is mine.”
A smile so soft it melts your heart curls across his lips and you can’t help but press your own firmly to his, moaning eagerly into his mouth and nipping at his bottom lip when you pull away.
He whines again and you catch the same vibrant pulsing of his restraints as he tries to pull you back in. “I’m not going anywhere, my darling,” you assure him, beginning to trail slow lazy kisses along his chest.
Loki arches into every press of your lips against his skin, breathing out your name like a desperate prayer to the gods. He curses when your tongue runs over a nipple, and then the other, and you feel the firm muscles of his stomach jump and ripple as you continue your descent.
“You know, I always wonder why I get such filthy looks when we step out together, but now I realise. It’s envy. They’re all envious that I have such a beautiful, gorgeous man in my bed.” You continue to lavish praise on him, hearing his deep inhale and feeling the twitch of his hips as your words roll over him.
“Please, darling,” Loki begs softly.
Looking up, you see those beautiful eyes trained on you, watching, waiting. You run a hand soothingly along his thigh again and finally take his cock back in your mouth.
His groan is deep and primal sends heat coursing between your own thighs, but your focus remains entirely on him. You worship him with your mouth, taking as much of his cock as you can until he’s a whimpering, whining mess above you.
He writhes in the sheets, tugging violently on his restraints and rolling his hips almost frantically into your mouth. You don’t pause for even a second, don’t slow or ease until you feel his entire body tense and he spills into your mouth.
You eagerly swallow every drop of him, listening to the melody of his broken gasps and moans until he’s totally, utterly spent.
He whimpers when you kiss the sensitive head of his cock, and half lidded eyes follow you as you crawl back along his body.
“There’s my good boy,” you murmur, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “Five minutes, and then we do it all again.”
Tonight, afterall, was all about him.

King of Second Chances
DomesticAvengers!Loki x Reader
Genre/Rating: tooth-rotting fluff with best friends to lovers
Description: Contrary to popular belief, Loki does have friends... just not on Asgard. Or Midgard. Except one.
Tumblr media
After the battle of New York, Frigga managed to convince Odin one last time to have mercy on his adoptive son Loki who recently found that out in his defense but in no way can explain his revenge hostile attempted takeover of Midgard aka Earth. Odin decided that if some time on Earth managed to teach Thor the lesson he needed to learn to be worthy of the hammer, then Earth should be able to do the same for Loki.
So until he proves that he's not the evil ego-maniac that's co-dependent on the lie his father told him about being destined for greatness when he was a peace offer child, Loki is to stay on Earth.
Specifically in Avengers Tower under close surveillance.
None of the team especially Clint and Natasha wanted him there but they couldn't trust him living on his own with some of his magic still intact. So down the hall from Thor's room soon became Loki's room and they all lived happily ever after. Sort of
"Loki did you eat my Poptarts?"
"And why would I eat those disgusting sugar-coated sandwiches?'
"Because you know I like them?"
"Out" Thor suddenly falls through a hole Loki created sending him back to his room.
Loki looked up at the vents to make sure Clint wasn't in them before relaxing back in his bed with the book before he was once again interrupted by a knock on his door. He rolls his eyes begrudgingly before swinging the door open with a wave of his hand.
"Hey, Loki..."
"Yes, Y/N," Loki says not caring to lift his head away from his book.
"Can I hide my pop tarts in here? Thor keeps eating them."
"And why would I do that?"
"Because I know you don't like them so Thor won't look for them here." Unable to argue with that, Loki shrugged.
"Very well. Hide them here"
"Yes!" you jumped onto his bed and hugged him tightly to you shocking the magical entity to his core.
"Thank you, Loki," you shock him again by giving him a light kiss on the cheek.
".... You're welcome"
This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Two years has gone by since then and while Loki is still not welcome back in Asgard he has regained almost all of his magical abilities, has been caught trying to go back twice, and with Frigga's help made his room in Avengers tower look almost identical to his chambers in the palace. One would say that he's gotten comfortable on Earth.
Loki still hides your Pop-Tarts in his room and several other things you don't want the team to see despite your room being one floor below his. The only ones who dare go in his room are you and sometimes Thor but he uses an illusion spell to make your stuff look like his so there is no suspense. You could have asked him to do that for your room but having some of your things in his room gives you the excuse to see him and everybody knows that. Except Loki of course.
After another successful mission with Natasha and her sister that she never mentioned until now you were back in Avengers Tower and you couldn't wait to tell your bestie all about it.
"LOKI!!!!" You burst through his door to find a towel around his waist and hair. His chest still had some water dripping down to a place that you didn't realize you'd want to see until now. Shit you're staring
"Um, I'll come back" You quickly closed the door and headed straight to the elevator. If anyone saw how you repeatedly pushed the close doors button they'd think you insane. You quickly went into your own room and let out the breath you had been holding only to open your eyes to-
"You know you were much cuter when you were afraid to knock on my door." You jumped holding your hand to your chest wishing your heart could just calm down but the man you just ran away from clearly transported to your room.
"I see you gained more of your magic back."
"One of my favorite tricks." Loki held up a bag of sweets. He patted the spot next to him on your bed and it was like you never left. You happily jumped into his arms. Let the celebration begin.
“So Agent Romanoff wasn’t alone before Barton came around. Interesting. Hit me” He opened his mouth and you gave him another caramel candy. Something you like to do when debriefing your missions with him is to eat sweets and comb his hair. He’ll never admit it but hearing your voice with your hands massaging his scalp made him feel like a King.
“I know right?! I can’t believe she’s been hiding that from us this whole time. I thought we’d run out of secrets in Avengers Tower by now. What about you?”
“Mm that feels nice” he whispered to himself not paying attention. You took a curl of his and wrapped it around your finger before yanking harder than usual.
“Ow!” He looked up at you
“Now that I have your attention what did you do while I was gone?” You held up your brush threateningly at him. Chuckling he laid his head back down in your lap closing his eyes without any sign of fear.
“I read, painted, slept, squabbled with my oaf of a brother, the usual.”
“Do you ever think the two of you will be as close as you were back then?”
“I’m not sure. I did try to kill him after all but he does try. I’ll give him that.”
“You tried to kill me too” You mumbled
“You’re different.”
“How different?” You continue brushing his hair slowly. Like a cat he purrs.
“You are… kind in a way that’s admirable and naive yet you hunt people for a living. It’s confusing.” You gently take his head in your hands staring right into his emerald green eyes.
“Are you saying I should consider a new career path?”
“I’m saying you are the most dangerous being in the nine realms.” He whispered.
“And your best friend” You whispered back coming a little closer.
“My only friend” The two of you smile at each other.
“Jarvis please tell me you got that” The two of you sat up quickly embarrassed that you’d been caught by Tony in what would look like two lovers staring into each others eyes even though you were nothing more than friends. Right? Without a thought you chased Tony all around the tower with your brush desperately trying to get that footage of the two of you.
Unsure of when it started Loki realized that the beautiful friendship that once was had blossomed into something else entirely. He was bound to mess it up but he knew you’d give him a second chance. He is the king of those after all and you are worth all the chances he can get.
A/N: Happy Loki day! I was supposed to post this the other day but I didn’t know what I wanted to write yet. Thanks for your patience. There’s more to come!

Loki was missing in the morning, and you got the feeling that you knew why.
As consciousness found you much later in the day than you’d anticipated, you rolled over, half-expecting him to be sitting up and fondling your hair, with a cup of rose tea on the bedside table waiting for you. Instead, Loki’s spot on the bed was vacated, the sheets room-temperature. That meant he’d been up with the sun, most likely.
Goddamnit, Loki, you do this too much!
Of course, your first instinct was to assume that he’d left because he wasn;t ready to confront you about your words last night: “I love you.” Neither of you had said a word, Loki could clearly see your embarrassment, so he put you both to sleep with magic and let the inevitable awkward conversation wait until another time.
You decided to be useful and to go check on Katja, perhaps pushing your anxiety over your confession last night to the back of your brain until you saw him again. After all, she had been widowed (thanks to you) less than a day ago. She couldn’t have been doing too well.
You found her sitting in her kitchen, at the small wooden table for two by a window. She had a cup of tea that was no longer steaming in front of her as she stared outside. She didn’t physically acknowledge your entry, but she did speak. “The water in the kettle is still hot.”
“How are you?” you asked, choosing instead to sit across from her.
Katja looked at you, and you were surprised to see how energized she looked for her sulking. “I am calm, but tired. The bed is too big for me.”
You bit your lip to keep the emotions down inside of you. This wasn’t your time to express your sadness or guilt. “Katja, I feel terrible for what I did.”
She shook her head. “I don't want to hear it, especially from you. We are both at peace, and you deserve to be at peace too.” Katja took a finger and traced the edge of her teacup. “We will bury him on the hill this afternoon. The King has been kind enough to offer a grave marker. It would mean everything to me if you would help bear his body up the hill.”
Immediately nodding, you reached out to steady her hand. “I wish there was something we could have done to extend his life, Katja. Ivar was a wonderful person.”
She sighed and looked beyond you, into the middle-distance, as if recalling a lifetime of memories in the blink of an eye. “We survived Ragnarok together. We helped start a new country for our nation’s children, paltry as it is,” said Katja, her smile soft and content. “You cannot ask for a better life for a couple. But, all adventures end, and when you get to be our age, after seeing what we have, you decide after a while that death is the last friend you meet. Whether it’s fast and unfair, slow and methodical, or brutal and theatrical--it ends all pain, it ends all anxiety, it ends all conflicts that swim in your mind. It delivers our reward for a lifetime of living: rest. Truly, Y/N, Ivar had been waiting for you for a long time.”
You hadn’t realized that you’d begun to cry. Katja’s speech vindicated you, and for the first time, you felt at peace with your power.
Katja twisted her lip into a larger smile. “I do not want you to wallow in guilt, not when you’re just starting to fall in love. You deserve to enjoy this moment.”
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes. “I did the worst thing last night. I told him.”
Katja chuckled. “Oh, and that is why he was so eager to make plans this morning!”
“What?”
Likely thankful for the change in topic, Katja leaned in and lowered her voice. “He was up with the dawn. As you can imagine, I did not sleep well last night and was taking in some fresh air when he emerged from downstairs. He asked me if the village had a florist, for Norns sake!”
You knitted your eyebrows, confused. “Oh…oh?”
“He seemed to have something exciting in mind,” Katja said with a wink. “And I suppose if you told him how you feel, that is an occasion to celebrate.”
The word celebrate triggered something in your head, and it immediately set off alarm bells.
“C…celebrate?” you stuttered, gritting your teeth in annoyance. “Oh, Katja, what is today’s date?”
She nodded. “I recorded Ivar’s death in my journal last night. In Midgard time, it’s August second.”
“Oh, well--”
“--what is it, dear?”
You twisted your own lip into a half-hearted smile. “I’m not sure how, but it seems Loki figured out that today is my birthday.”
Tumblr media
Though it was a starkly unorthodox method of celebrating, it still seemed on-brand that you would begin your birthday with a memorial procession.
The storm from the previous night had drawn in a thick, dense wave of humidity that made the air seem nearly unbearable that afternoon, even with the breeze coming off the water. Sweat beaded your brow before you’d gone more than five-hundred feet from the cabin. You had nothing in black that wasn’t a heavy sweater, but the lightweight, olive-green tunic dress you had chosen instead didn’t seem to offend anyone.
You, along with Brunnhilde, Thor, and three other volunteers from the village bore Ivar’s small, humble coffin up the hill, where a grave had already been dug, a simple engraved marker at the head of the rectangular hole in the ground. Loki was nowhere to be seen, and it irked you that he didn’t even have the respect to show up on time.
The King wasn’t much for decorum, or even many two-dollar words, so as the more physically-adept of the gathering began to set the pine box for interment, Katja sang a sonnet that Ivar had crooned to her on their wedding day while Brunnhilde helped the pallbearers:
“Across the expanse Where the timelines cross There we were wed, my love There we shall die, my love And when the path ends  We will sit ‘neath the willow Where we were wed, my love Where we shall die, my love…”
You put your hand on the coffin just as it was about to be lowered, kneeling beside it and closing your eyes, hoping to hear an echo from Ivar’s body in a manner similar to how the buried dead charged your powers and guided your steps--but alas, nothing.
You chose to ignore it.
“Well, look who chose to curse us with his presence,” grumbled a disapproving King. You got to your feet and looked over your shoulder to see Loki climbing the hill, a bundle of daisies in his hand, standing out against the black suit he wore.
You had to admit, he looked handsome, but you quickly averted your eyes, still embarrassed by your admission. Loki took the flowers to the King and whispered something in her ear. You didn’t expect her to nod and drop the look of annoyance from her face, as if he’d told her a secret password.
Brunnhilde placed the daisies on Ivar’s coffin, and the pallbearers began lowering it as Katja began to chant something in High Asgardian. Loki slowly crept around to your side and stood by you, but you noticed he didn’t make a move to take your hand or touch you, as if that primal, natural fear of death that he kept with him was returning. It was not encouraging.
Thor was at Katja’s side, a gentle, brotherly hand on her shoulder. He looked up at you and Loki standing together from the other side of the gathering with a hopeful twist of his lip. You tipped your head just enough to see Loki wink back at Thor.
Oh, what is this, God of Tricks? You thought. Now I know there’s some conspiracy afoot!
You weren’t sure if you were up for it today. It wasn’t as if you resented birthdays. You just never really acknowledged them, a natural consequence of having very few people in the world who cared about you. No one in your life had ever indicated that you were worth celebrating.
The sun burned into the back of your neck, and after a few moments, after you sighed out in involuntary reaction to the summer swelter, you felt a single finger tap the back of your neck, which simultaneously sent a comfortable, cool shiver down your back, and painted your skin with an invisible barrier against rays.
He leaned down to your ear. “Ice Giant specialty. You need to mind the sun, darling.”
You would have rolled your eyes if anyone else had said it in such a manner, as if you had no idea what sunburn was. Alas, it was Professor Loki who was giving the word, and you would have let him explain anything to you in that low, rich voice of his.
“Thank you,” you whispered meekly.
“I have some things to attend to this afternoon,” said Loki. “But I would like for you to meet me tonight at sunset.”
“What things do you have to do today?” you asked accusingly, a twinge of mischief of your own in your tone, hoping to box Loki into a confession.
Loki shrugged, momentarily at a loss. “Does it matter?”
“You didn’t say where to meet you,” you added.
Loki smiled again, looking smug. “You’ll know where to go.”
Tumblr media
August sunsets in Norway didn’t begin until after 9pm. Loki had to have known he was making you wait an unbearable eight hours for whatever he was concocting. It was all you could do to keep your mind off of the anticipation by training with Brunnhilde and Thor after the memorial. The physical exercise was doing well in keeping your mind elsewhere. Thor was more than a formidable sparring opponent.
“I really wish you’d stay,” said Brunnhilde just as the three of you were winding down for the night. Sunset was an hour off, and you wanted to shower and dress up before somehow knowing where to meet Loki, and subjecting yourself to his nefarious plans.
“Stay?” you asked, wiping your forehead with a towel. “He said to meet him at sunset.”
“No, stay as in after the year turns,” she replied. “Remember? The New Valkyries?”
“Ah,” you nodded uncomfortably, admittedly still unsure about your choices. “Well, maybe we shouldn’t jinx me before the test in December.”
Brunnhilde shrugged nonchalantly. “Y/N, you can control everything about your power now. You can even stand up in head-to-head combat thanks to my tutelage!”
“But what if--?”
“--stop doubting yourself, Y/N, it’s getting redundant,” she rolled her eyes, cutting you off. “What is there back in New York for you? Do you honestly think they’re going to put you on their Avenger-team the way they’ve been treating you?”
You opened your mouth to speak, only for it to remain empty of any reply. You were coming up blank because you knew that the answer was also a big fat cipher. “I…didn’t have any friends or family back there,” you admitted sheepishly. “I don't know what I was expecting, but you’re right.”
Thor emitted a soft, empathetic “aww!” from across the room.
“Then what holds you back? Him?” asked the King, indicating Loki by bringing two fingers up to her forehead and mimicking his horned helmet.
You quickly shook your head. “I guess I don't really know where I belong.”
Thor smiled and wrapped an arm around your shoulder. “As long as you’re here, you belong,” he said with jovial warmth, which wrapped around you like a plush, weighted blanket, lifting much of your anxiety. “We’re all exiles here!”
“Thank you,” you said with a smile. “But I should really get ready for whatever lunacy Loki has prepared for me.”
Thor chuckled and looked away. “It’s been tormenting me to keep it a secret all day!”
You didn’t bother to say goodnight, instead rushing back to the cabin, hoping perhaps to catch Loki off-guard before heading out, but he was nowhere in sight.
After quickly running under a hot shower, you found that you hadn’t the patience to consider your wardrobe, and you settled on a clean red sundress with a lacy hem that fell just above your knee. Then, as the sky turned bright orange outside, you began searching the apartment for any clue Loki may have left on how to get to this secret location, but there didn’t seem to be anything…
…until a small flicker caught the corner of your eye. You turned your head up to the doorway, where a small green orb flickered, beckoning you with a calm, serene energy. Smiling, you followed it up the stairs and out into the evening air, where it blinked out of existence, revealing another orb behind it, about twenty feet further down the road. Suddenly, a string of them appeared, equally-spaced, guiding you on a defined path to the south, toward the fjord but away from the main docks. Every time you met an orb, it fell away before you could touch it.
The sky grew red and indigo as you spent several minutes following Loki’s trail around the outskirts of the village, away from the marina, behind a small cove of rocks nearly a mile away from the center of town.
As you got closer, you became aware of a faint, golden glow originating from a small inlet that led into a section of the fjord that was shallower, cut off from the open air by the piled rocks. You turned toward the tributary, the last of the green beacons blinked away, and before you was an assembly of perhaps hundreds of paper lanterns floating on the water, bobbing gently on the surface, creating the only light source to see by on this, the night of the new moon.
Faint music began caressing your ear, a gentle string sound, and you found its source coming from a self-playing golden harp sitting by a tree nearby.
“Loki?” you asked, your volume softer than you would have intended, your breath taken away by the tranquil, romantic sight. “Where are you?”
“I’m here, love.”
About fifteen feet off the shore, Loki emerged from under the water, his bare chest dripping and glistening amid the lanterns, his hair in a single plait down his back.
You were sold. Happy Birthday!
In spite of the breathtaking view of a wet Loki wading toward you, you kept your wit. “What an entrance, Professor. Worthy of a movie,” you quipped with a flirtatious smile.
He winked. “I assure you, any film made about my life would likely not paint me as such a romantic, not the way the world sees me today.”
You shook your head as you met the water’s edge. “Forget about the world. All that matters is what I see tonight,” you replied.
“And what do you see, princess?” Loki asked at a whisper, stopping just before the water revealed what lay below his pelvic bone.
You inhaled. “Everything I want.”
It may have been in your head, but your enchanting words hit Loki in a different way, making his eyes darken with desire. You took this as the single to strip, slowly slipping your dress down your body until you were before Loki in just panties. You paused with your thumb underneath the lacy waistband, considering making Loki come to take them off himself, but decided that you just wanted to get into his arms faster. In the span of a wink, you were bare.
Loki reacted as if you’d just presented him with a work of art to study. Once you were entirely naked, you gently dipped your toes in the water, warmer than you’d expected. You submerged the rest of your body and carefully floated over to Loki’s position further out. He received you in his arms, and you went further out into the inlet together, until the water was just under your breasts.
Turning to you and tucking a finger under your chin, drawing up your gaze, Loki looked at you in silence for an extra moment. “Beautiful…”
You wrapped your arms around his neck and planted a kiss firmly on his lips. “This is lovely, but how did you know?”
“Know what?”
“About today?” you leaned back, wondering if he was truly ignorant, or if he was pranking you.
“Today? I’m sure I don't know what you’re referring to.”
You cocked your head to the side, raising a skeptical eyebrow as he couldn’t help but smirk devilishly. “You know damn well what I’m referring to!”
He finally let out the laugh he’d been keeping in. “I wanted to surprise you. I’ve known your birthday since S.H.I.E.L.D. arrested you. It was the second detail in your file, under your name.”
“Oh, I guess that checks,” you admitted. It never occurred to you that Loki had probably been briefed on you as if you were a terrorist before he signed on the dotted line.
“Well, what about yours?” you asked. “So I can ambush you when the time comes…unless it already has?”
Loki shook his head. “It has not yet come this year, but I’m afraid we will be too occupied to acknowledge it. For you see, it falls only days before our test in December.”
“You’re a winter child,” you remarked. “Well, close enough, anyway. I should have known.”
“Well, the seasons and timelines work differently on Asgard. It wasn’t cold the day I was born,” he explained. “However, I was not born on Asgard at all. You see, when the--”
Loki had intended to go into teacher’s mode again to explain more of his past to you, but you’d begun to nuzzle his neck affectionately, deciding in the moment to forget everything beyond the fjord, and to just let Loki’s gentle touch carry you into your next year of life.
He chose to murmur delicately into your ear instead.
“I love you too, Y/N."

The witchling and the god [Loki x Witch!Reader] Chapter 8
Summary: The Avengers were looking for someone to help Loki fit in with the team. To become socially acceptable, so to speak. He had been given the choice of sitting in a cell in Asgard or serving some sort of community service probation on Midgard. The Avengers and Shield both felt that as long as Loki was on Earth, he should be under supervision. This is now your job. Why? Because you’re a witch. You’re not sure why this qualifies you, but here you are, giving it a shot. What could possibly go wrong?

Chapter 8: A snake and a magical artifact
Before you go home to your cottage on this eventful day, you stop by the prince’s suite. Despite Thor's words, you know you won't have any peace until you talk to Loki one more time. Or at least try to. In the tower's kitchen, you've made some tea and have a tray with the pot and two cups floating next to you. It's easier to balance it this way than in your hands.
Loki stands at the panorama window looking out over the city, hands clasped behind his back. The sun is tilting toward the horizon, bathing the sky in a warm orange.
You approach him quietly and with a wave you let the tray float onto the small table. Giving Loki his space, you sit down on the armrest of a couch and follow his gaze for a while before looking at him. "Please don't teleport away like that again. I was worried about you."
"Why? Because you lost track of me like a dog that ran away?" Loki asks without turning to you.
It makes you frown. "What? No!" you explain, "I was worried about you."
You hear a soft "Tsk." from the Asgardian.
"I can understand that this was a situation you just wanted to get out of. But I'm asking you to communicate with me next time."
"There won't be a next time," Loki snaps, finally turning to face you. His expression is dismissive, but when your eyes meet, there is a moment you can see behind that mask. You see disappointment and regret.
Then it's gone again and his next words are bitter. "I let you down. You shouldn't have trusted me."
"What do you mean, Loki?"
"I promised no chaos and no deaths."
You remember your conversation in the car on the way to the hospital. It seems like a long time ago to you, even though it was only this morning.
"Well, at least you didn't start a fire." It's an attempt to lighten the mood, but Loki scolds. You let out a sigh. "We're a team, okay? So if there's any blame on you here, it's just as much on me."
"We are not-...," Loki hisses, but you don't let him finish that sentence.
"Listen, I'm really trying here. I know you don't want all of this. I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry that things are not how you want them to be and that you are stuck here. I'm trying really hard to improve your situation. But I can't do this without you. I'm just asking you to not randomly disappear on me."
Your tone is harsher than intended, but it's been a long day, a lot has happened. You're tired and your patience for further discussion is wearing thin. You brush some loose strands of hair out of your face.
There is a pause in which the Asgardian contemplates your words. You let him take his time, having nothing further to say about it.
"I can do that," he finally says.
You smile softly at him. "Thank you, Loki."
You look at each other for a moment. His expression is neutral, but you get the feeling that it's not a mask, just him trying to process his thoughts and feelings. Humans and Asgardians are not so different in that way.
You nod toward the table. "Tea?" you ask.
Only now does Loki seem to notice what you've brought. "Gladly," he agrees and circles the couch to settle in his usual spot.
~~
The next morning, you enter the suite as usual. "Hello?"
At first you think it's empty, but then you notice something moving in the sun on the couch where you usually sit. It's a snake that lifts its head at your words, seemingly looking in your direction. It is a dark blue color, almost black, but in the light of the sun it shimmers almost iridescent. It is a beautiful animal.
You walk over and place a paper bag on the small table. "I brought brownies," you announce.
After yesterday, Loki had earned them, and you baked them fresh this morning.
The animal watches your every move, tonguing silently in protest as you push it aside to sit down. You're 85% sure it's Loki. At 10% you assume it's an ordinary snake and Loki is just playing a trick on you. For the other 5% the snake is here for some totally unrelated reason.
Your eyes meet.
"If you don't want to talk, I'm sure you won't mind if I read, right?" You get no response, but you're not sure what you were expecting. Probably not that the snake would speak to you. So, with some magic, you summon a copy of the book you're reading at home and get comfortable.
"At least he's not a horse," you mutter as you think back to Loki's tale of Sleipnir.
You don't blame him for changing shape. After everything that's happened, you're glad he showed up at all and isn't hiding somewhere or back to the point of threatening you. You definitely made some progress there.
Soon, you're engrossed in your book. You don't realize the snake has started moving until it tries to get from the back of the couch across your chest.
"Not around the neck," you warn it without looking up, pushing its little head aside. It tongues in protest, but adjusts its path. After a while, it loosely wriggles twice from your shoulder across your chest. You feel the smooth scales against your skin as he gets under your collar, and you pull him away from your neck a bit. At the same time, you turn sideways and pull your feet up onto the couch so the snake won’t be crushed between you and the couch and is also back in the sun. With its warmth and that of your body, it seems satisfied and stops moving.
You turn the page.
Lost in thought, you place your fingers on the scales again and stroke them gently.
Although it's comfy, you're having a hard time concentrating today.
Sometimes the suite is too cramped for you, even with its size and nobody there but you and Loki. Today is one of those days. It's not because he himself takes up too much space - he is just a several feet long snake. But sometimes you feel that you can't concentrate properly when he is near you. Your thoughts are too focused on him. It's your job, you tell yourself. He's constantly circling around in your head as you think about how best to integrate him into the team, what project you can start next, where you could take him out to dinner again. He deserved the latter after his good work. The fact that you might then see him in an elegant suit again is just a happy coincidence.
You give up reading and put your book aside. Somehow you’re even glad that you don't have to talk to Loki today. That would only distract you more. He has a way of pushing your buttons with his words. Silvertongue can be interpreted in several ways.
Instead you're content to sit here in silence with him while you hold your face in the sun with your eyes closed. Perfect to raise your spirits.
Suddenly, a phone ring interrupts the silence.
"Sorry, I forgot to put it on mute," you mumble, glancing at the display. It's Tony, which is why you pick up.
"Hey, what’s up?.… yeah, I'm in the house.... Really?..Okay, I'm on my way."
You hang up and stand up and lift the snake off of you, carefully laying it on the pillow.
"The heroes found something magical and now they don't know what to do with it," you tell the animal, deliberately emphasizing the word hero with humor because you know how he feels about it.
"Of course! They're not smart enough for that." Loki sits on the couch back as his normal self with his legs crossed, making a thoughtful face. Then he rose as well. "Let's go."
"Are you sure you want to come?" you huff, because Loki didn't seem like he had much desire to talk or people today, and in the lab there would definitely be people.
"Something exciting is finally happening. I'm not going to miss it."
So you go together to lab 105, which is located about in the middle of the tower. It's not as big as some of the others, but it's equipped with lots of scientific technology.
Tony and Bruce look up as you enter. Neither of them comment that Loki is at your side.
"Where is it?" you get right to the point and they both point to a table on which lies an unspectacular object.
It looks like the hilt of a sword or a large dagger, without a blade. Just the hilt and cross-guard. It seems to be made of some kind of metal and there are various symbols engraved on the surface.
"Cap and Nat found this in a Hydra base," Tony explains, "Can you tell us what it is? Our scans are all over the place. Nothing makes sense."
"How do you know it's magic?" you ask.
"The blood and skulls lying around it in the base were a strong indicator."
You make a face and turn to the object Loki has already approached and is looking at curiously.
"It's powerful," he says quietly so that only you can hear. "I can feel the magic radiating from it."
"Have you seen anything like it before?"
He shakes his head.
You notice that the grip has a cavity at the bottom, as if a gemstone had once been embedded on the pommel.
"I can perform a ritual and find out more about it." You look at the Asgardian. "Unless you have a faster method?"
He takes a step back and gestures for you to continue. You give him a smile, then turn to the table.
Muttering softly in a foreign language, you run your fingertip across the tabletop, drawing symbols around the handle. Dark lines appear as if they are being burned on the surface. As you complete the circle, you hold your hands over the object and close your eyes. Your murmuring grows louder. Fascinated, the Asgardian watches you work.
The symbols on the tabletop light up and you break off your chanting, opening your eyes. They are milky white and a slight glow seems to emanate from them.
"Not sure if this is cool or just scary," Tony mutters, turning to Bruce.
You let the hilt hover between your fingers and examine it closely from all sides. Your spell gives you a direct view of its magic, which you now try to decipher. A red, billowing aura surrounds it. It appears calm, almost waiting. You hold it against the light, smelling it. The only thing that keeps you from licking it and tasting the magic is the intensity of the power you now feel as well. It's huge for such a small object.
Usually that’s not a good sign.
But you feel drawn to it and slowly you close one hand around it. The red aura reacts to your touch as if it were greeting you curiously. No sooner your fingers wrap around it than you feel a vibration emanating from it, traveling along your arm, tingling in anticipation. You try moving your arm as if you were wielding a blade, and suddenly a strength comes over you as if you could punch a hole in the metal wall of the lab. It's so overwhelming that you drop it on the table and end the spell. You have to blink a few times to get your eyes back to normal. It takes a moment for everything to stop appearing blurry.
The symbols on the table have faded, but you can still make out a shadow of their outlines.
"It's very powerful," you share your thoughts with the class. "It seems to be a part of several pieces. The energy is… not unfriendly, but unsettling. I wouldn't bet on it being used for anything good."
"Not by Hydra anyway," Tony snorts.
"What did you feel when you touched it?" Loki asks.
"It was weird. Almost as if it was calling. Could be some kind of curse." You look back at Tony, "You guys better stay away from it.”
That raises the question of what you should do with it. There’s no way you’ll leave it in the hands of people who don't know a thing about magic. You could take it back to your cottage and figure out the best place to put it. You know some people you could contact about it.
"I can keep it safe," Loki says
"Absolutely not," Tony replies promptly and even you are opposed to the idea.
The Asgardian gives him a sour look. "I know more about artifacts than all of you in this room combined. Magic has been a part of me since I was a small child."
"That wasn't an objection based on knowledge." There is no glossing over the distrust that lies between the men. Loki's gaze darts to you, and you pause.
"Doctor Strange," you say and Loki shoots you an offended glance. But he remains silent and you hope that means he isn’t disgruntled about your suggestion, but probably just the opposite is true. You try damage control. "He has the proper resources to store these kinds of magical artifacts."
You fish your phone out of your pocket, take a picture of the artifact and send it to Stephen along with a short message.
"SHIELD is not going to be happy about this," Tony interjects.
"That's not my problem. You wouldn't leave a firearm in the hands of toddlers, would you?" As long as neither of you know exactly what this magical artifact is capable of, it is a potential threat. You learned to be careful with these kinds of things. You never know when something could potentially blow up in your face. "Depending on what dimension Strange is in, you probably have about a week. But you guys should be careful. That thing can be dangerous.”
"Danger is my middle name."
"Yeah, I bet." You turn to Doctor Banner, who seems to be the more reasonable of the two of them. "And what is yours?"
"Actually, Bruce is his middle name," Tony answers for him.
The doctor shrugs with a sheepish grin and you laugh.
Loki and you leave the lab soon after and walk together to the elevator.
"I've been thinking about what project we can start next," you inform him. You had wanted to talk to him about it before Tony's call interfered. "There are programs similar to 'Make a Wish' and I think that-"
"I'm not going to do something like that again," Loki interrupts you sharply.
Somewhat taken aback by this so suddenly harsh tone, you blink at him. "Why not?" you ask dumbfounded. The elevator doors open and you follow him inside.
"I'm a god! No entertainment for unworthy people!"
"But everyone had fun! Including you - apart from the incident, of course. You were great."
"If I had been great, the boy wouldn't have died." His voice is bitter and stinging like the venom of a snake.
You try to calm him down and put a hand on his arm, but he shakes it off. "That's not true! You had no-…"
"He had a weak heart and I showed him my magic. It was too much to comprehend for this small human boy. He faltered immediately." He turns away from you and stares at the wall of the elevator. With a soft ping, the doors open and he trudges out. You have arrived at the floor of the suite.
You follow him a little slower, watching his dropped shoulders. So that was the reason. Maybe that was why he had been so quiet since then. Not just simple grief but also guilt. For the umpteenth time, you wonder how anyone could ever claim that Loki is a bad person when something like this affected him so much.
The Asgardian interprets your silence as a shock at his confession. He stops at the door to the suite, his hand already on the handle, not daring to look at you. He is afraid of what he would read in your eyes. Hate, accusation, disgust. "Now you know. It was I who kill-…"
"Loki, stop." You wrap your arms around him and hug him from behind. He stiffens. "The doctors told me Felix's deadline was two weeks ago. He bravely held on for many more days. Maybe his soul was waiting for you so he could go in peace."
Loki's voice is no more than a whisper. "You're just saying that to ease my mind."
You let go of him, take his hand that is still on the doorknob and turn him to face you. Your expression is serious and you try to put every bit of honesty that is in you into your words. "You are the god of lies. You should know I’m not lying, when I say that it was not your fault."
His eyes scrutinize you, trying to find a counterargument. Under other circumstances, he would be impressed that you understand how his domain works. Usually people accuse him of lying all the time because he is the God of lies. Actually it's quite the opposite. But most people are too dull to understand that. He knows how to choose his words so that they are not lies. And he senses when someone else is lying.
You don't lie. Your words leave little room for interpretation either.
Slowly he nods and you exhale in relief. You release his hand. The spot feels empty on Loki's skin, the ghost of your touch tingling.
"I still won't do anything like that again," he insists.
"Then we'll find something else," you reply, surprising him again.
He is fascinated by you, by a simple Midgardian woman. But you are not ordinary, he realizes, just as he had suspected when he first met you. There is much more beneath your surface than meets the eye.
"I have one request, though," you add. "Next time teleport us both away together. Then I'll save myself the trouble of searching for you."
Loki raises an eyebrow. "Only if, in return, you won't notify anyone next time."
"If I know where you are, there's no reason to notify anyone," you say with a smirk, holding out your hand to him. It's just to seal your pact and not because you like touching him, you tell yourself.
"I like it when you try to get around the rules. It's a nice change," Loki admits as he wraps his fingers around your hand to shake it.

Next morning you woke up to him caressing your cheeks with his fingers, he was up and awake and he seemed as if he hadn't slept at all.
"Good morning" you mumbled as you pulled away from him, you were really conscious around him in the morning, simply because you were merely a human being with human problems and He? Well he was a magical being from other realm with no visible flaws whatsoever,
"Morning princess, sleep well?" The pet name made you flush, you were still not used to being called in such a loving way.
"I did..did you?" You asked him and he hummed in response "I'll go make breakfast" you tried to get out of his warm embrace but he didn't ease his grip on you.
"Why are you like this?" He asked you, a smile apparent on his face.
"Like what?"
"Like This Darling..such a fidgety little thing in the morning" He asked you and his fingers tucked your hair behind your ears simultaneously.
"It's just..I umm..uhh i" you stuttered your words so he didn't want to put you in a predicament first thing in the morning, he just wanted to ease your nerves and comfort you.
"It's okay..I just want to tell you that it's okay..you're beautiful as you are and you're that way all the time, your humanly attributes does not change it for me"
Your eyes teared up as he said that so you leaned into him and pecked his lips before you kissed his cheeks one by one, his face instantly lit up at the gesture "See…this is what I mean..so precious " he looked at you intently as he said that, he had the same look in his eyes as he did last night, that reminded you of what had happened last night and the thought made you shiver.
"Would you like to go on a date with me? I found this waterfall near the mountains" you asked him to distract your traveling thoughts so he smiled.
"Of Course darling..I just have to be somewhere for now so I'll see you after a while, you're working today right? Perhaps after that?" he told you so you nodded, your heart felt heavy as he got out of your clutches, you didn't want him to leave but he has been here with you for the last two days and you didn't want to bother him if he had something important to do.
As he disappeared you sighed before you got on with your day, you hoped Steve won't bother you today, you really were hoping for him to not remember what he had told you last night .

"What brought you two here?" Loki chuckled as he went back to the darkness of his cell, he didn't miss this place at all, he was comfortable sleeping in that bed of yours with your warm body snuggled into him, you fit into his arms just right, he didn't want to leave so abruptly but he heard the desperate sound of his mother's call. And she brought his brother too this time.
"Have you lost your senses brother?" Thor asked him so he chuckled in response,
"What have I done now?" Thor glared at him because of the tone Loki used and it made Loki smile even more so.
"You know what you are doing, you're going to lose again, quit playing these childish games with that mortal, finish your sentence and you can come back home" Thor answered in one breath.
"I am not playing games here, you see I am not you brother, why can't I just come back home? You both very well know that you can save me" Loki's eyes teared up with anger and frustration, if they really cared so much about him he wouldn't be here right now, they had all the power in the world to take him with them.
"I told you he was far gone, he does not care about any of us, he'd betray us all for that inferior mortal, he had already disclosed more than he should have, the moment she tells others about our existence he will have to die" Frigga said, her words colder than jotunheim and it pissed him off further.
"Are you two done? If so I'd like to be left alone" Loki said to them and they sighed collectively.
"Not really, Someone else wants to see you too" Loki's eyes widened as Frigga said that, he heard the footsteps approaching and he just knew who it was. What was she doing here?
"My darling Loki" she approached him and got on her knees to hug him tightly. His eyes teared up, not because he had missed her presence in his life but because of the way they all wanted to play with his emotions and trick him. He had spent years with her but still looking at her now he couldn't even recognise the person he used to be in love with once. Anaya, the woman who broke his heart and his trust, the woman who once made his heart flutter only disgusted him now.
"I am not your darling, get away from me" Loki told her sternly and she sighed. She told Frigga and Thor to give them privacy and they obliged immediately.
"I know you're still bearing the grudge against me for something we both agreed upon, how come it's fair Loki?"
"You know what you did Anaya, Do not try to justify yourself, it's been years and you come to me now? Are you tired of bedding strangers every night?" She slapped him hard as he spoke venomously, he didn't even flinch, he chuckled instead so she got up and shook her head.
"You are such a hypocrite, you had your fun too and now you want to play the victim here? I loved you with all my heart and you ditched me" Her eyes teared up but it didn't faze him at all.
"Who said I want to be the victim here? Can't you see I am done with you now? I do not care about your pathetic little existence any longer, still want to manipulate me? Think again, I'm the god of trickery here you foolish woman" He spat angrily making her sneer in response.
"You really think that mortal will choose you Loki? Are you really that desperate for a woman's company? Tch tch I pity you, ohhh how low you have fallen"

You tried to gauge whether Clint had any clue about what happened between you and Steve last night but he seemed to not suspect at all, where was Steve anyways? Where did Loki leave him?
As you stepped out of the school after your shift the cold made you cross your arms, it's been just a few hours but you felt as if it's been months since you have seen Loki. You made your way to the beach and found the spot with the waterfall, it was ethereal, you should have brought your phone to take pictures. As disturbing as the history of this island was, it really was a beautiful place and you found yourself confused by the beauty of it, it was the type of place you could have spent eternity in with the love of your life. With Loki.
"You're so stupid y/n" you sat down on the edge of a rock and sighed, the water kind of scared you now that you knew about the sea banshee, you just hoped she won't leap out of somewhere and attack you.
"Lokii I'm here" you called out for him in your head and then immediately felt his presence behind you, you took a deep breath as he sat behind you with his legs encasing your body so you were sitting right between his legs, turning your head sideways you looked at him so he pecked your lips, it comforted you almost instantly.
"You came"
"Gave you my word didn't I?" You leaned into him to peck his cheeks but then you had no idea what got into you all of a sudden, you couldn't stop yourself from shifting your head between the crook of his neck so you could press several wet little kisses on the soft skin, he always smelled divine, a hint of sandalwood filled your senses and you felt as if you were in heaven. He moaned slightly as you sucked a little harshly.
He grabbed the back of your head so you turned towards him, keeping both of your legs on his right one, your arms wrapped around his neck as he kissed you lovingly.
"Are you okay?" You whispered as you pulled away to breathe and he sighed, you didn't know why or how but you could just feel that he wasn't feeling his best, it was a gut feeling so you just wanted to be assured.
"I'm okay princess..I am..just…soo glad to have you, wouldn't want to be alone right now" his eyes teared up so you kissed him again, your feelings weren't wrong it seemed.
"What happened lo?" You asked him softly as you caressed his cheeks with the pad of your fingers.
"Nothing truly of concern, are you comfortable going into the waters?" He asked you and your eyes teared up at the consideration, they drowned you last time, he remembered that.
"As long as I have you I'm willing to do anything" he didn't respond with words this time, he picked you up instead and jumped into the waters making you squeal in response, that warmed his heart.
Maybe Anaya was right, maybe you won't pick him or choose him for eternity but it never really mattered to him, he was happy to be able to spend these little moments with you. Even if he loses you in future he'd never forget or ever regret the time he had spent with you here.
He had you in his arms and you were surprised how effortlessly he was swimming using just his legs, like a mermaid. He let go of you only when you two got right under the fall.
Everything felt surreal, the sound of nature engulfed you two and you couldn't hear anything else in the moment. He was a sight for sore eyes, his wet hair clung to his back and his shirt was sticking over his toned body, water dripping from every inch of his skin, you almost moaned as he took the shirt off. You couldn't stop staring, you didn't even want to.
"Are you cold sweetheart?" He asked you softly as he noticed you shivering, the water was indeed cold so you nodded in response and all of a sudden you felt as if you were standing beneath a warm shower. The god and his godliness.
He wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you closer making your breath hitch in the chest, you have never felt this way before, it was as if you have never been touched before, you felt like a virgin.
But you weren't the only one feeling the eroticism of the moment, he couldn't take his eyes off you either, the dress you had worn was sticking to your curves and you looked like a goddess in all her glory.
"Are you comfortable?" He asked you and you nodded immediately. Comfortable? You felt blessed.
You held onto his shoulder as he pulled you even closer,
"Talk to me princess"
"I don't wanna talk" you mumbled against his mouth and he hummed before he spoke again
"What do you need?" He whispered in your ears and you moaned as he pressed a kiss behind the ear.
"Youuuu" the word barely came out as a whisper and he couldn't control himself any longer, it was beyond his limits now, his lips latched onto yours in a feverish kiss and you reverted it in the same manner. He grabbed your hips to lift you up so you locked your legs around his waist.
"Do you trust me?" You smiled as he questioned you.
"More than anything"
"Close your eyes" you closed your eyes as he asked you, you heard the sound of him dipping under the water but you didn't feel it, it felt as if you were out of the waters still, you felt a firm but soft surface beneath your feet, it reminded you of a mattress.
"Are we back on the grounds?" You asked him as you giggled so he pecked your lips then he asked you to open your eyes, you gasped as you looked around, you both were under the waters but it was as if someone has the cut the streams and carved the hollow space for you, it reminded you of a huge aquarium.
"How did you do that?" You looked at him awestruck and you moved towards the edge of the mattress to touch the flowing stream of the water and it indeed wetted your fingers, you both were under the waters but you couldn't believe it. It felt like a dream.
"I can manipulate the elements of the nature. Water, Air, Fire, you name it, I'll do it for you" your mouth remained open, there wasn't an ounce of arrogance hidden in those words, he just answered your question as if what he just did wasn't a big deal at all.
"How are you real? Is this real?" You asked him as you walked towards him and kissed him softly.
"It's all real my love, I promise" you laid down on the fluffy mattress with him on top of you, your eyes stayed glued to his features, you could have spent eternity here, just him and you, no interruptions, no betrayal, no cheating or assault, just you, him and the blanket of safety he had wrapped around you.
"Are you hungry little one?" He asked you and his lips pressed a soft little kiss on your forehead.
"You'll bring the food here?" You asked him, a childish giggle escaped your lips, that warmed his heart, he was at that stage where he couldn't even imagine someone hurting you, someone ruining or taking your ability to giggle or laugh freely, even just the thought bothered him deeply.
"Anything for you"
"Ummmm I'm okay lo, are you hungry?" Your arms wrapped around his neck and he put his head down between the crook of your neck as he sighed
"Not for the food noooo" your breath hitched as he said that so you flipped him around slowly, taking him underneath you, your legs situated on either side of his waist as you sat on top of him.
"What do you need lo" you asked him as you pulled the straps of your dress down slowly, he was mesmerized- both by your question as well as the action. It awakened the man inside him, the man that he had kept on a tight leash just so he won't hurt you in anyways. You were fragile and still learning to enjoy the intimacy, he didn't want to do anything that would ruin it for you. He really didn't want to but he couldn't help and stare as you pulled the dress down until your breasts were exposed and you were leaning over him to kiss him
"Princess I.."
"Don't want to hurt me..I know lo..I know that, and I also know that you'd never hurt me, never in that way"
He didn't say anything in response, he kissed you instead, his hands clenched into your hair as he pulled you closer to him, a low growl escaped his throat as he felt your hips grinding onto him.
"Norns Princess I.. i..can't take this" he voice was strained as he whispered into your mouth so you pulled away from the kiss and looked at him, this felt right, it felt perfect. This is what you needed.
"Can't take the teasing?"
"No I meant.. darling I–"
"Can't control yourself anymore right?" He groaned as you caressed his bulge over the pants "Please lo.. I want to, please" his eyes teared up as you whined against him, he had no control over this situation any longer, he'd allow you to take this however you needed to.
You gasped as you felt his hands crawling under your dress, while his fingers teased your clothed cunt you hid your face in between the crook of his neck as you felt the sensations building slowly.
"God that feels good, sooo good" you murmured. He tugged his fingers in the waistband of your panties to take them down while you unbuttoned his pants to pull him out of the confinement. You placed his cock on his torso and sat down over it to move back and forth, rubbing your clit against his veiny flesh. He was mesmerized. He couldn't take his eyes off you, the dress was still hanging over your waist so you grabbed it between your fist and rolled it up your body, he had never seen you completely bare like this before but he knew he'd want to see you on top of him like this over and over again from this moment onwards.
Sounds of heavy breaths and moans surrounded the bubble he had created for you two under the water, this felt like a fever dream but in all the good ways.
You were ready for this you knew you were ready but for a moment everything stopped when you put his cock inside you, he noticed your teary eyes and trembling lips, he was always cautious so he sat up and wrapped his arms around you.
"Hey hey look at me" your eyes welled up even more as his sweet voice melted in your ears. You looked up at him so he gave you a small smile "You are here with me sweetheart, you are safe, you are protected, I promised you didn't I? I promised you that I'd never let anyone hurt you and I will never break that promise" You nodded at the affirmation, that's not what bothered you however, you wanted to feel free, the way you used to before that monster destroyed you.
"I just..its hurts that he's out there and he's happy, I can't..I can't make love to the man I love without breaking down and he..he's happy in his life, they didn't punish him..he didn't get punished" you hugged him tightly as you cried so he laid you down under him, somehow still managing to stay in you. The confession of love warmed his heart, he knew you loved him and cared for him in your own way, he just didn't know the extent of it. He wiped your tears and kissed your forehead, his thumb caressed your cheek, his other hand scratched your scalp, he was all around you, in you and it helped you to slowly come out of that mental space,
"He'll be punished. I give you my word little love, I promise you that he will suffer, I'll make him suffer, we will make him feel all that pain he put you through" he mumbled before he kissed you softly, your legs wrapped around his legs as you took him in deeper in you. You had a moment of weakness but you didn't want to ruin this day, you didn't want to think about that scum, you just wanted to love the man you had inside you.
"Looo please.. move baby please" you whined again and he groaned, he'd pluck the moon and stars for you if you'd ask him for them so how could he ever deny you such a simple pleasure in life?
His hips rolled back and forth and it made you gasp, it's been a while and you never actually thought you'd ever allow a man to take you like this, not after what you have been through, but life had other plans, Loki wasn't just an ordinary man, he was a god and he wasn't just taking it from you without your consent, he was giving it back to you tenfold, he was blessing you and you wanted him like this every night after this. You wanted him Forever.
"Eyes on me love, let me see you" he spoke softly but his voice remained sultry, his breathing was shallow, you opened your eyes as you heard him, he wanted to make sure you felt okay, your eyes always told him the truth. He placed his forearms right next to your head trapping you under his body, that's what you needed in the moment, his body pleased you beyond any type of pleasure you have had before, every inch of you was pulsating from the sheer energy he was shifting into your body with every thrust of his hips, his warmth and his scent comforted you.
You could see his jaw clenching, his teeth gritting as he brought you two closer to the peak, and when he brought one of his hands up to brush his long hair behind, you almost combusted, the little action he did was the most erotic view you had ever witnessed. A god in his entirety. He was magnificent in every way, you were being fucked by a god and just the thought was enough to make you explode.
"Mmmm I'm close…please goddddd...ohhh yesss please" you mumbled sensuouly and it made him smile.
"So am I sweetheart.. you take me so well little one, you feel so warm you know that? Tell me what you need huh?" He whispered in your ears and it made you clench around him.
"Goshhh lo..I need you to..mmm need your cum" you moaned loudly.
"Uhhhuh? Want me to cum inside that pretty little cunt of yours? Is that it Princess?"
"Ohhh God" you gasped as his filthy words melted in your ears.
You knew you won't get pregnant if he was to cum inside you, the monster took that away too, the first miscarriage you had destroyed your ability to conceive again.
"Please cum inside me lo, I need you to cum inside me" you mumbled softly and he couldn't hold back anymore,
"Cum with me darling..let it go now for me, let me fill you up" he whispered in your ear and that was enough to shatter you, you cried his name out loud, so loud.
Your bodies convulsed together and you felt him filling you up, you could feel him inside you. It was unlike anything you have experienced before,It was magical, you didn't think you'd ever get to experience something so magical again. It was perfect but your happiness didn't just end there for today. What he said next made you want to combust.
"I love you princess, don't ever forget no matter what happens, never ever forget that I love you"
That kept you up all night.

Loki thought it was insulting the way his father suggested he needed more training. That he's relying on magic too much and that'll somehow make him forget the basics of combat.
Evidently, he thought it was pure nonsense. He won't forget how to combat if he uses his powers. Besides, shouldn't he take advantage of his abilities if he has the chance to use them? It's just ridiculous.
Oh, but that's not all. Because this is exactly what Loki means when he says he's Odin's least favorite. His father doesn't seem to care in the slightest that this is quite literally (in Loki's sometimes-a-little-too-dramatic mind) dooming him to a fate worse than being trapped in Helheim for the rest of his days. It was upsetting to hear his father doubt his skills, but what's even more insulting is that you are his designated teacher to help improve what in his mind needs no improvement at all.
The dislike you and Loki have for one another is no secret to people around you. Ever since you befriended Thor back when all of you were kids, he has despised you for reasons completely unknown to you. And even after all this time he still has a particular disgust towards you. At first you really tried to be his friend, but eventually stopped trying. By the time you two were teenagers, you started to stand up for yourself rather than trying to ignore him or stay quiet, which inevitably made things worse between you.
Your enmity persisted over the years, him trying to ruin your life with his silly jokes and you beating his ass when you found out he was behind it all. You can still vividly remember that time he almost ruined your chances to finally become a Valkyrie (something Loki knew was your lifetime dream) and the satisfaction you felt after punching him right in the nose before telling him he failed.
He should be appreciative. It's not like most people can say they've received combat training from a Valkyrie, yet he didn't seem to think that's anything special. It's just humiliating. He doesn't need training, especially from you.
"This is a waste of time," he said right before starting your training, flashing one of his usual charming smiles that never fails to get him what he wants.
"Let's see what you can do and then I'll decide if we're wasting our time," you quickly replied, an ironic smile adorning your face.
He didn't like you. Not one bit. He dislikes the way you just smiled at him, your condescending tone, the way you're standing as you wait for him to try to do something that would count as training. You act like you know everything and he hates it.
And after the way you're behaving, why bother with being gentle? It was as if his disgust for the way you continue to grin and behave as if you're better than him completely blinded him, making him forget he's about to fight with a skilled warrior. There's nothing you can do better than this.
It was evident you'd skillfully dodge his attacks with the sword he was holding, managing to distract him shortly after to lightly tap one side of his body with your weapon, indicating that if this was a real fight he'd already be dead.
"Doesn't look like a waste of time to me," you remark jokingly.
He tried very hard not to roll his eyes. "That was pure luck."
"Want to go at it again, my prince?"
Loki didn't reply, taking a few steps back from you, holding his weapon tightly, silently counting the seconds until his next attack.
Eventually, he launched forward and you once again dodged it, but before you could tap his side again he continued his attack. You kept defending yourself with ease, but were unable to attack just yet.
To make him think he was doing a good job, you let your guard down so he could get rid of your sword, the weapon quickly falling to the ground. Loki smirked, slowly putting down his own as he looked as if he just won the biggest fight of his life. It wasn't just a physical combat anymore, not to him at least. This is about proving his power, his honor, how he doesn't need this stupid training.
But his victory didn't last very long since you were able to grab the sword and take it out of his hand, aiming it at him. The look on his face almost made you laugh out loud.
"Looks like you do have a lot to learn."
Loki barely cared to flash an ironic smile your way before taking two daggers out to continue the fight. You stood in front of him, sword in hand, challenging him to do anything.
He was about to launch forward when you pushed him back, making him lose balance and giving you the perfect opportunity to tackle him to the ground, immediately straddling him to keep him on the ground. The daggers fell to the ground next to you, and so did the sword a few seconds later when you dropped it.
You looked down at Loki with yet another sarcastic grin. "There it is. You concentrate so much on the attack, you don't care about the defense. Looks like we're not wasting time after all."
"I don't need someone to teach me that."
"Sure you don't," you muttered. "Look. With all due respect, my prince, I'm not particularly enjoying my time here with you either."
"Oh?" he says. "I'm sorry, am I the one who's insisting on having these training sessions? As if there's actually something that you could teach me."
You continued to straddle his lap, thinking to yourself all the things you could say back to start an argument that could go on for hours. However, you decided to be professional just this one time.
Instead, you lean down so your face could be closer to him in a threat-like manner. Loki's smirk completely disappears as you did. It was impossibly rewarding seeing even the slightest hint of him being intimidated by you, especially when he's underneath you on the ground.
He attempted to set himself free, immediately staying still when he felt the slight wiggle of his hips inevitably made him grind against you. You tried to act unfazed by it, even though you can't deny you very much felt the movement of his hips, his lower stomach brushing against you.
Trying to ignore it entirely, you finally spoke. "The Allfather asked for me to help you. I'm just doing this because I couldn't say no to him."
Loki smirks after your last words. "I thought Valkyries were tougher than that."
"Clearly, I am. That's why you're on the ground right now."
"Like I said, it's pure luck. I'm still waiting to see something actually impressive from you," he insisted.
"I could say the same thing. I'm not the one who just got defeated twice."
"Yeah, but I'm not part of Odin's shield-maidens. Aren't you supposed to be the best warriors out there?"
You scoffed. "I could stop going easy on you if that's what you so desperately want. I'm pretty sure you won't be able to handle it, though."
"Try me," he offered.
"Fine."
You were about to stand up when you felt his arm wrapping around you, keeping you in place. "No," he mutters, a swift movement of his hand directed towards the door as the sound of a lock makes you understand he has used magic to lock the doors of the room you were in. "Show me."
To say you were shocked would be an understatement. Is Loki really hinting at what you think he's hinting? Did he really just locked you both in this room and is currently expecting you to do something about his proposition now?
And what was even worse about the situation is that you weren't exactly repulsed by the idea. You couldn't deny he's very attractive despite being extremely annoying. Besides, having him underneath you and having entire control of the situation does make you feel good, better than you would ever want to admit. Both things combined certainly sparked your interest.
The thought of the two of you doing a lot more than training almost made you want to grind your hips against him before he opened his mouth again.
"Unless you're not up for the challenge?" he added, his characteristic smirk never fading. "I understand if it's a little too much for you."
"Shut up already," you say in annoyance, leaning back down so you could make sure he stays quiet by kissing him.
Kissing Loki felt explosive, thrilling, exciting. Like something you never thought you'd ever do, and it actually feels a little odd at first because of it. But he's such a good kisser that you quickly forget all about it.
The way one of his hands immediately tangled in your hair while the other rested on your hip only encouraged you to deepen the kiss. You were pleasantly surprised when you heard him humming against your lips when your tongue made its way inside his mouth.
Maybe by mere instinct, he used his hand still holding you to push your hips further back, needing you to be on top of his bulge as you two continued to make out. Of course you wouldn't complain about his insistence, adjusting yourself on top of him.
Both of you express how good that slight change in your position felt. You did it by softly moaning against his mouth while he moved both of his hands to your ass, immediately wanting you to start grinding on him. He was certainly needy.
Even when you are more than okay with his actions, you had to pull away from him just enough to give him a warning. You couldn't help but notice his entire expression has changed, no longer looking at you like he's ready to argue with you about anything you had to say. Instead, his eyes were soft and his mouth was slightly agape, looking up at you almost as if he wanted to protest because you're not kissing him anymore. Like a spoiled little kid who just got told he can't play with his favorite toy anymore.
Quickly, you took both of his hands to move them away from your body, grabbing both of his wrists to put his arms above his head, using one of your hands to keep them in place. You heard the faintest and quietest sound coming out of his lips, but you could easily tell he absolutely adored the gesture.
"Enough of that now," you say. You very much enjoyed him wanting to guide your hips, but it's you who should be in control right now. "You let me do the work, okay? Can you stay still for me?"
Loki nodded eagerly. "Yes, of course. Just– can you move already?"
Just to tease him, you gently rock your hips up and down. His reaction was just the best sight you've ever witnessed. How he closed his eyes and let out a soft grunt he was holding back. Soon enough, his eyes snapped back open when you stopped. "Now, that's not how you ask for things. Am I supposed to teach you some manners too?"
As if things couldn't get any better, you noticed his cheeks turning a light shade of pink after your words, and you could also feel his cock hardening even more underneath you.
"Please move," he says with obvious embarrassment.
"That's better."
With that out of the way, you leaned in to continue kissing him while you finally started grinding on him. The feeling of moving up and down his length, even with clothes standing in the way, was only encouraging to move faster. Still, you didn't want to rush things, so you tried your best to rock your hips in long, painfully slow motions for as much time as you could.
Your hand that wasn't holding his above his head moved over to his neck, applying just enough pressure. He seemed to also appreciate that a lot.
The kiss was broken again as both of you needed air. Loki looked so good under you, eyes dark with desire and lips swollen from making out. You could see the desperation in his features because you were still moving way too slow for his liking.
"Please," was all he said, frustration evident in his voice.
"What is it?"
"Can't you move any faster?" he snapped before realizing he probably shouldn't use that tone. "I'm sorry, can you please move faster?"
The fact that he was trying his best to keep it together and obey your previous instructions was almost too much to handle. If all you needed to get him to stop being an asshole was fucking him, you would've tried that a long time ago.
"Well, you did ask nicely," you point out, to which Loki immediately nodded in agreement. He looked so...pathetic trying to get what he wanted. Deep down you were enjoying this a little too much.
Your movements gradually increased in speed, which forced more moans and grunts out of both of you. Loki's hips matched your movements and you let him have that little satisfaction because it just made everything feel a thousand times better.
Your hand left his neck so you could kiss his skin instead. He titled his head to give you all the space you needed, and you heard his loudest moan yet when he felt you sucking on a particular soft spot just below his ear. Will you try to leave a mark just so he can see it later? Absolutely.
"I wonder what else I can do with you," you whisper after leaving a nice purple mark on his neck. "I have a few ideas. I'm sure you'd love each and every one of them."
Loki turns to look at you, completely at your mercy. "I'd like to be able to touch you, if that's okay," he says, hinting at his hands still restricted. He could easily get rid of your grip if he wanted to, but the thought of getting your permission seems to be far more important to him.
"Don't worry, you can do a lot more than that."
You give him a short kiss, smirking when you realize he wanted to lean in closer to kiss you for longer, but you didn't let him. Instead, you move away from him to stand up, unable to keep your eyes away from his erection. You haven't seen him properly, but he definitely looks as big as he felt.
Loki quickly accepts your hand to help him stand up. Despite him being considerably taller than you, he felt insignificant next to you. Not moving without your permission, speaking only when you expect a reply, following your every move.
He has silently renounced even the tiniest amount of control and gave it to you instead.
You guide him to one side of the room where there was a couch big enough to fit both of you. It'll be a lot more comfortable than staying on the floor. Before doing anything else, you wanted to hear confirmation of your power over him one more time.
"You'll do whatever I tell you, right?" you ask, gently caressing his cheek with the hand that wasn't holding his. He practically melted under your touch, nodding. "Manners, Loki."
"Yes," he quickly says. "Yes, anything you want."
The smirk on your face grew after his confirmation. "Good," you give him, and that simple word was enough to get him all excited like a little puppy. "Oh, does the prince enjoy being praised?" you asked teasingly while you let go of his hand, only to start getting rid of his cape and the upper part of his outfit.
He was quiet for a second as he let you undress him. "Yes..." he timidly confessed. It was still amazing to see the God of Mischief acting so shy and submissive with you.
"But you also like it when I'm mean to you," you say more like a statement than a question this time, getting rid of his clothes except for his pants and boots. "That's why you're always looking to start a fight with me," you insist, gently tracing the muscles of his arms with your fingers. "You just love it when I put you in your place."
"Like you don't enjoy it too," his usual self shines through for a second, though his eyes remain as soft as ever.
"This isn't about me," you quickly warned, taking a seat on the couch. "We better keep you quiet before you get too comfortable and decide to open your mouth again," you added shortly after, quickly pointing at the floor in front of you. "Kneel."
He looked taken aback at first, knowing you were clearly making fun of him. The smile on your face made that very clear. "What?"
"You heard me. Kneel." His cheeks were burning red at this point, but he still got on his knees in front of you shortly after you spoke. "Good boy," you let out as soon as he obeys, pulling him in for yet another kiss.
He gladly accepts your kiss, both of his hands resting on each of your thighs. You capture his lower lip with your teeth before you pull away entirely, making him squeeze the flesh of your upper legs in response.
"How about we put your mouth to good use, darling?" you offered, and he immediately looked like he just won the biggest prize.
Loki noticed you were about to stand up to take your clothes off, but he quickly stopped you. "If I may?" he asks, and you comply by staying seated.
A gasp left your mouth when he made all your clothes disappear with the snap of his fingers, sitting completely naked before him from one second to another. "That should be considered cheating."
"I prefer to think of it as a way to optimize our time together," he smiles, and despite wanting to argue you simply let it be. "You can't blame me for it," Loki quickly adds, gently pulling your legs apart, looking up at you to examine your face. He wouldn't want to do anything that you don't approve of. "I've been hoping for this moment to come from a very long time," he added, his fingers caressing your inner thigh.
You were undeniably surprised to hear that, considering he was supposed to hate you before this. "Oh, so you've thought about me naked?"
"Maybe," was all he offered, but the answer was obvious. "Don't let that get to your head."
"Of course it will," you replied. You were enjoying that little back and forth so much that you almost forgot you shouldn't entertain him. "Are you going to keep talking or you're going to finally fulfill your little fantasies about me?"
"I wouldn't call them–"
"Oh, just shut up already," you cut him off, grabbing a fistful of his hair as you pull him close to you once again.
He's gladly surprised by your roughness, enjoying every second of it. Maybe that's exactly what he wanted to achieve by talking back so much. He kissed you for a few more seconds before he pulled away and started to move further down your body.
You're sitting at the edge of the couch by the time he's further opening your legs, looking up at you one more time before he immediately gets down to it.
He was more than satisfied with the moan that you let out as soon as his mouth made contact with you. He immediately started to quite literally devour you as fast and eagerly as he possibly could, his tongue exploring up and down your folds before he would take his time sucking on your clit.
Being loud and messy was clearly the last of his concerns. He looked like a hungry beast that hadn't eaten for centuries and you were his favorite type of prey. The obscenely loud noises, the speed of his tongue and mouth, and the way he keeps looking up at you only made the sensation even better.
Your moans increased as you quickly gathered all of his hair in a ponytail so it wouldn't get in the way, occasionally tugging on it whenever the feeling of his mouth would be too much. It was clear to you he absolutely loved having his hair pulled at this point. One of his hands was still gripping your thigh while the other moved up to your tits, taking his time massaging each one while his mouth continued his vicious attack on you.
He looked so desperate and eager, you couldn't help yourself from teasing him again. "Look at you now. Maybe I should keep doing this to keep you quiet for once," you say in between moans. "My prince can't shut up unless his face is buried between my legs?"
He moans against you, the sensation making you grip his hair even tighter. To say he was doing a good job would certainly be an understatement. His tongue would meet your hole while his nose rubs against your clit before he moves up again, taking his time to suck on it. He's absolutely hypnotized with your pussy, it's impossible not to stare at him as he hungrily eats you out.
"Fuck," you mutter, the feeling being too much for you at this point. "If you keep it up like that, I'll come so hard all over that pretty mouth of yours."
The idea of it seems to encourage him even more. He's using both of his hands to keep your thighs in place now. His eyes keep looking up at you, almost pleading for you to come already. Like silently trying to ask how close you are and if he's doing a good job.
Loki kept looking at you, and you felt the need to praise him for all he's doing. "You're so good– making me feel so good..."
He kept licking and sucking like that's what he was made for, his digits firmly pressed on your skin. It was a matter of time before you reached your orgasm, starting to desperately move your hips in order to reach that climax you so desperately crave.
You squeeze your eyes shut and you have to practically bite down on your hand so you wouldn't scream out in pleasure when you feel it, shoving his face impossibly closer to you. He gladly lets you suffocate him between your thighs, finally slowing his pace as he carefully licks up and down, allowing you to climb down from your high.
He kisses your inner thigh before finally moving back from you, giving you enough space to stand up from the couch as you recover all your senses. His hair is a complete mess and half of his face glistens with your juices and his saliva.
You hum against his lips when you roughly pull him in to kiss him. As soon as your lips smashed against his, you move your hands down to start working on unzipping his pants.
Loki was able to step out of his boots and pants as soon as that piece of clothing was falling to the ground. You continue to kiss him as you palm him through his underwear, smiling against his lips when you hear the sound that leaves his mouth when you move your hand inside the last piece of clothing remaining on his body, wrapping your fingers around him. You began masturbating him in a painfully slow manner, noticing his frustration and need growing by the way his grip on you tightened.
His hips began rocking just enough in hopes you'll get the hint he wants you to go faster, which made you pull away just to ask "what's wrong, my prince?" in a fake concerned voice, like you had no idea where his distress could be coming from.
"I want you to go faster, please," he says, cheeks flushed once again.
"You're an eager little thing, huh?" you mock him, and he has no other choice but to agree with a quick nod. You earned one of his loudest moans yet when you tease the head of his cock with your thumb. He practically whines when you're no longer touching him, your hand gripping the edge of his underwear instead. "How about we get rid of this and you sit down for me?"
Loki did exactly that, waiting for you to take off his underwear before he sat down, looking up at your eyes before he inevitably wandered down your body, staring at each and every part of you.
That excited puppy look was back when you took a seat on top of him, pumping him a few times before you aligned him with your entrance.
He leans his head back as soon as he starts feeling the tip of his painfully hard cock meeting your wet core, slowly starting to stretch you out. However, he's soon adjusting himself to look down in between the two of you, not wanting to miss a second of it. With every inch that disappeared inside of you, it was becoming harder and harder for both of you to control the urge to roughly fuck the other.
You really didn't want to rush it, enjoying the way he was slowly filling you up. And the look on his face as you sink down his length has got to be the hottest thing you've seen in your entire life. His eyes were darker than ever, but still managed to look so incredibly soft as he's allowing you to take as much time as you want, even when it's killing him.
Eventually, he was completely inside you. That's when you finally allowed yourself to lose control, immediately starting to move up before sinking back down. He was certainly not expecting you to speed things up just then, letting out a groan as he squeezes your ass, helping out with your next movements.
You hold onto his shoulders as you continue to ride him, speed only increasing, his cock repeatedly hitting that sweet spot inside you that only encourages you to keep going, craving your second release already.
"Don't stop," Loki grunts, looking more desperate than ever. "Please, don't stop..."
Both of you were practically a moaning mess at that point. You were pretty sure the grip he has on your ass will leave some kind of mark, but you couldn't care any less.
You let out a small cry when you feel yourself closer and closer, feeling your body all sweaty against his already, riding him like your life depended on it. At the speed you were going, it was a miracle you've been able to keep it up until now.
"You like how good it feels to stretch me out?" you ask with a smirk, enjoying how much of a mess he is right now.
"Yes..." he gasps. "Feels so good– you're so...so tight."
"Better than any of your daydreams about me, I'm sure," you mock him, earning another pathetic moan from him. "I'm close. Are– are you?"
Loki let you know he's almost there as well with a desperate nod. "Should I-?"
"No, no– fuck, no," you quickly say before he can finish. "I want you inside me."
Needless to say, he absolutely loved the sound of that. "Say that again?" he pleaded. You can tell he's barely able to keep it together anymore, his muscles tightening and his brows furrowing just enough.
"I want your cum so deep inside me," you moan.
"Shit," he practically growled, the tight grip on your ass being almost painful at this point, but you were loving the feeling on his fingers marking you skin while you're fucking him so deliciously.
"You'll have to wait until I come, though. Can you do that for me?" you ask, earning nothing but a nod. "You've been a very good boy so far. I'm sure you can use your words."
"I– yes, yes! I'll wait until you come."
"That's more like it," you grinned, trying to keep it together. So far, you're holding on a lot better than he is. "I bet you're liking this training better, huh? Me bouncing on your cock and you trying not to fill me up until I allow it."
Loki was only able to let out a series of desperate sounds, the wait for his release feeling painfully exquisite. You were making sure he remembers who's in control, which is only sending him closer to the edge.
"Next time you start being an asshole I should just– fuck– just shove your cock in me to keep you entertained. Doesn't matter if someone sees, right? I bet everyone will be thrilled to see this God begging for me," you continue, hearing him practically cry out in pleasure because your words while he's stretching you out is just too much. "Pathetic little boy, that's what you are."
"Please, I– I can't...anymore. Can't hold it," he cries, sounding completely wrecked at this point. "I need...need it...please."
"Say what you are."
"Mmm– I'm a pathetic little boy..."
"That's right," you praise, feeling your own orgasm rapidly building up. You still have no idea how you've been able to keep it together for so long. "If you want me to come, you have to ask for it. You can come right after me."
"Please give it to me...please, darling– need to feel it...please, please, please, please, please..."
His continuous pleas were just too much for you to handle, wrapping your arms around his neck to pull him impossibly close to you as your orgasm erupts, sending shivers down your entire body as you moan out his name, trying your best to muffle your sounds against his skin.
It took him no time to come as well, his grunting and moaning filling your ears. He closes his eyes and hides his face in the crook of your neck as he enjoys the sound of your voice desperately calling out his name and your walls squeezing him impossibly tighter.
The two of you ride off your orgasms, gasping for air. Sweat adorned your bodies as you continued to hug onto him, your entire weight resting on him as he gave his last few thrusts. You could feel the way he was filling you up, loving every second of it.
Loki let out a sigh, completely exhausted. When his thrusts stop, you move away just enough to be able to look at him. Cheeks red, lips parted, sweat all over and his black hair a complete mess. You move a hand up to fix his hair a little after having one of the most incredible fucks of your entire life (if not the best).
He leans in closer for a kiss and you didn't stop him.
"You know, I think I was wrong about training," he jokes right after pulling away. "We surely have to do this more often."
"Agreed," you nod. "But I really need to teach you some defense techniques first. Respectfully, you're awful at that."
"Don't push it," he warns, which inevitably makes you laugh.
"Fine," you comply. "By the way, I'll need my clothes back at one point."
"Oh, I almost forgot about that," he confesses. "I'll give them back to you, don't worry. Just– a few more seconds," he says, as if his arms still wrapped around your waist and his cock seeded inside you wasn't enough indication that he clearly wasn't in a rush to leave.
You rolled your eyes at his words, but didn't argue with him about it. You wrapped your arms around his neck again and decided to stay there with him. After how great that was, he surely deserves the cuddle.

You sat in the conference room amongst Eragon, Murtagh, Ismira and the council members. Phaddo, an old woman was the only female amongst the old council members with silver like hair held up in a bun, her robes hang on her skeleton like body and her wrinkled face always wore a cold expression on her face. Her thin lips were chapped and her aquiline nose made her look like an old hawk.
Wallesk, a man looking to be in his middle-ages sat like a statue, his face long and strict no emotion showing on his features. Gurt and Brun were dwarf brothers but not twins. They both had long red beards and big smiles on their faces. Iroast was the youngest however he was still looked to be as old as Wallesk. He had short black hair, plump lips and strong jaw with thick bear-like body. His eyes shined with life-force and fatherly love. The only one giving you goosebumps was Hastvu who had grey skin with tattoos all over his body and was bald. His black eyes pierced into your soul and he seemed to look out for only his own wealth.
'We received the message from Jonaldel about the attack on Gil'ead... how are we supposed to react when Vraë locked away Du Weldenvarden? The elves retrieved now and we cannot reach them.' spoke up Wallesk.
'Taking back the city won't make any difference. The Soulless King will come to us anyway' said Gurt matter-of-factly. You sighed knowing his words were true. You saw what the soulless king was capable of with his soulless knights and half-dead soldiers. Last time the encounter has been fortunate for Alagaësia but now... the recruits weren't ready, the royal bevies were lacking of soldiers and the elves were locked behind the barrier of Vraë not seeing the truth. Sacrificing the new recruits who weren't qualified yet was something you would never let the council do.
'But we can't let him get close to Uru'bean! Queen Jonaldel's authority is not stable yet because of the new king of Surda. That damn brat thinks he can do anything he wants!' growled Iroast reminding you of Thor.
'We could send a message to the Soulles King and ask him to fight our armies only once. If he wins, we retrieve and he can take Alagaësia. If we win, his armies will go back to his lands and we raise a wall on the side lines of our countries one with magic ensuring that they cannot get over it ever again.' you spoke up after a long silence making everyone look at you. Some of them had frightened expressions, like Phaddo and Wallesk while Murtagh's eyes just shined at your suicidal idea with a smirk on his lips. Eragon's eyes sparkled with curiosity and nervousness.
'It is the riskiest idea I've ever heard of' gasped Phaddo. Hastvu rolled his black eyes at her and let out a huff.
'And those ideas were a long time ago, I assume' remarked the grey skinned man making your lips quiver a bit as you tried to fight the urge to smile. Phaddo's eyes flashed to him while her face changed into a dark red.
'How dare you-!' she screeched. Eragon stepped into the fight with a motion of his hand.
'Please, stay away from rude comments on each other and try to focus on the urgent case we're facing right now' his voice sounded irritated but you knew he was hiding his smile. Everyone thought Phaddo was as old as Alagaësia itself and her ridiculous behavior pretending she's young still was making her more ridiculous.
'Still that idea is way too risky' crossed her arms the old woman.
'We can't afford more than one battle against the Soulless King, Phaddo. The new recruits will be barely ready for battle and the almost all of the older generation of the Riders died in the former battle. I know because I was there' you leaned forward in your chair. 'The royal army is too small to rely on the whole battle and the elves are locked inside of Du Weldenvarden.'
'We could still try to get in Du Weldenvarden and move Vraë out of the elven throne' spoke up Murtagh suddenly snapping your attention to him. You knew what he wanted and you didn't like the idea.
'How? No one knows the elven palace enough except Eragon and he has to teach the recruits' said Brun.
'I lived there through my life' you said dreadful at the thought. You couldn't go back but you had to. You already felt the nausea coming to you at the thought of standing in the throne room of Ellesméra or in your room or anywhere you could be reminded of Arya and your failure. 'I could lead my friends through the lands. Prince Loki and Thor are strong and fast and have experience in battle just like Lady Sif.'
'They need to bear magic if you want to step inside the barrier. Vraë will be alarmed of your magic knowing yours already and it will be suspicious for him to feel unknown magic enter Du Weldenvarden.' turned Eragon to Murtagh with furrowed eyebrows.
'The elves who stayed here are enough for them to create a layer of their magic for the four of them to cover their own magic' shrugged Murtagh. 'I used that method before.'
'When?' you quirked an eyebrow.
'When he broke in to rescue you' sighed Eragon tiredly. Your eye widened at that.
'You did what?!' you cried out in surprise and anger. 'You know how dangerous was that?! Vraë could've killed you for trespassing illegally!'
'I told him the same things' noted your father. 'But (Name)... you are the most important person in our lives and we needed to try everything we could to get you back.'
'Still...' you sighed putting your face in your hand. 'I think the meeting is over for today. You can leave. Father, uncle I want to speak with you two.'
The council members widened their eyes at that but left the room quickly. You sighed and got up from your seat anger filling your body as you glared at the two Riders in front of you.
'Maybe I am important to you but what about me? Do you think I wouldn't be angry at myself if I would've known that any of you died because of me?! I cannot lose either of you! I wouldn't be able to handle that! Not after mother's and Srunugr's death!' you yelled at them angry tears running down your cheeks. They acted like foolish brats not thinking about the consequences. Just thinking about losing them made your heart throb in pain. You just got your life back and the knowledge that Murtagh could've died for you was overwhelming.
You saw their mournful expressions but soon were enveloped in a tight hug by both men. Your sobs rocked your body until no tears were left and you could breathe normally again.
'You're so much like your mother' sighed Eragon making you and Murtagh laugh quietly.
'I scold others the same way she scolded me' you giggled.
'I could hear her screaming from the training fields when you went to Asgard without permission' ruffled your hair Murtagh. The three of you went to your duties after that so you started searching for Loki, Thor and Sif to tell them the news.
Lunch time was coming soon and so when your stomach let out a grumbling sound you weren't surprised too much. You decided to find your friends later and look for something edible. You walked down to the dining halls where there was already dozens of young Rider recruits and a few from your generation. They wore the uniform they got when they joined the Academy. Dark brown leather pants and vest with a white linen shirt and laced boots. You could make out perfectly the small copy of the Academy's flag on their chests sewn into their vests. You remembered your own generation and remembered how they looked at you. Most of them had jealous and angry sparks in their eyes while the rest just ignored you. Darla and Frask were the only friends you had from that time and of course there was Ismira too but she had other friends who mostly just avoided any contact with you.
At first you didn't understand why they acted like that but soon you realized the reason. They could all see the similarity in you and Eragon and how differently he looked at you. They were jealous because Eragon was someone who wrote Alagaësia's history and they wanted to be his sons and daughters too. You sighed heavily and tried to shake those thoughts out of your head while you stepped in the line waiting for food. Someone nudged your elbow drawing your attention to them. It was a young boy, human, around sixteen with light brown hair and green eyes. He had a straight nose with strong jaw and definite features. He sported a light blush as he looked at you with his mouth slightly ajar.
'S-sorry, (Name) Dröttningu... but... can I ask you something?' he asked quietly. You smiled at him kindly and nodded waiting for him to continue. 'Will you be our new teacher?'
You lifted your eyebrows in surprise and cleared your throat. It was not something you expected. Why would you teach them anything? You were a failure in the Rider history. You lost your dragon because you were careless.
'Why are you asking me such a thing?' you asked back.
'Um... I-I'm sorry if I offended you in any way... I just... we all saw you walking around the Academy again and... we thought you would join the teaching staff. A-and you are quite skilled with magic and you were the best student in your generation so...' his blush deepened with every sentence if not every word making you chuckle lightly. He was a cute boy and you were sure the girls at a nearby table were absolutely staring daggers into your back in jealousy.
'You didn't offend me, don't worry' you chuckled again however your smile faded from your beautiful face. 'I'm not sure if I should be the one teaching you new ones anything at all.'
'What?! Why?!' he cried out in protest. You smiled at him with a pained expression.
'Did you hear about the first battle Alagaësia had to fight with the Soulless King?' you asked quietly. His eyes widened and he looked down on the ground in shame for asking something like that.
'But... Dröttningu... everyone of us pays for our victories. We chose a life where we need to face the truth and accept that we cannot have what everyone else can. We give up something or someone to protect many others. You did the same back then and everyone should respect you for it' said the boy with furrowed eyebrows. You looked down at him and you knew. He was going to be bigger than his classmates. You reached out to mess his hair up with tears in your eyes when one of your former classmates approached you.
'You shouldn't praise her, kid. She lost her dragon because she was careless.' spoke up Knuset. He was now a man as tall as Thor and just as well-built. He had platinum blonde hair and icy blue eyes with white skin. He was always competing you in school and was always a jerk to you. Your eyes narrowed at him and pulled your hand from the boy at your side.
'And who told you that it was wise to poke your nose in other people's conversations?' you quirked an eyebrow. 'As I remember you were placed to behind the leader of the second division back at Yazuac while I was leading a division.'
'I didn't forget that you were always hiding behind your parents' shadows and that's how you got so high' he spit the words at you. You felt your blood start to boil in your veins but you managed to keep your calm.
'I worked for it, Knuset and you know that too! If you would've concentrated on your own improvement and not on accusing me of your lack of intelligence and try to play tricks on me you would've been the one to lead the division right next to Eragon!' you replied meaning every word. You didn't hate him back then and not even now. He was the type of person who tried to find someone to accuse of their own faults. His eyes widened in surprise.
Slowly his lips curled up in a smirk as he found his words for a reply but was cut off by someone gripping his shoulder making him yelp in surprise and pain too.
'I assume it was enough, Knuset. The lunch break is almost over and you still have a mission to go to' said Eragon with burning fire in his eyes. Knuset decided to turn and go to prepare for his mission leaving you with a group of recruits and Eragon in the dining hall.
'I was perfectly fine defending myself, father' you sighed and picked up a plate of food before walking with Eragon to a table.
'I know, (Name)... but I'm still your father and will protect you' he smiled at you while digging in his own plate of food. You ate in silence for a long while when you looked up at him and spoke up.
'You know that boy, there at the front?' you pointed out the boy who talked to you a half an hour earlier. Eragon nodded.
'He's Ceraige one of the best students. He's always late of his lessons but pass every exam with the highest grades, why?' he asked quirking an eyebrow at you questioningly.
'He will be your successor in taking over the leading of the Academy and he will fight with everything he has when it would come to defend his home' you answered still watching the young boy, Ceraige with a small smile playing on your lips. Eragon looked at him too now with something in his eyes you couldn't quite place. It was close to relief and expectation.
After lunch you began your search for Loki, Thor and Sif. You walked down to the training fields where you assumed Thor would be and you didn't have to look for too long because of the victorious roar sounding from a large group. You smirked and placed your hand on your sword by your hip. You pushed through the crowd and crossed your arms in front of your chest waiting for Thor to win against one of the eldest Riders, Ithas and elf. The elf who finished the Academy earlier than you wasn't bad at sparring but he was always into magic. He could've been better but he never wanted to so Thor was now in superiority.
It has moved forward his sword pointing at Thor's chest but the blonde prince knocked him back with Mjölnir easily. Ithas landed on the ground with a loud thud and lifted his hand in surrender.
'Anyone else?' looked up Thor with a large grin on his face. You walked down unsheathing your sword smirking at the blonde giant.
'I'm going to show you that I can still kick your ass' you replied making him smirk playfully. You lifted your sword the tip pointing towards Thor before you made your move and ran to him. He barely had time to react and dodge your sword as it sliced through his leather vest leaving a whole in it. You turned around and swung your sword at his waist not waiting for him to wake from his stupor. He stepped back so your sword just flied next to it. But Thor had a different idea and decided to strike back. He swung Mjölnir towards you but you crouched down quickly and kicked his legs from under him. He fell flat on his face but reached out for his hammer. When Mjölnir arrived in his hand however he had no time to move because you were pointing your sword at his throat.
'Just like last time' you smirked. 'I won.' You let down Kweikva and stepped from Thor offering your hand to help him up which he accepted with a big grin on his face.
'You are still the finest warrior along with Sif, (Name)!' he beamed at you.
'However now I need to talk with you and the others. Meet me at the garden an hour later' you said not waiting for his reply as you made your way through the crowd and left him to entertain the recruits. Next were Sif and Loki. You passed by the old and new students who looked at you with awe. You thought all of them hated you like back when you were just a student but from what Ceraige said and how he acted showed you that those times passed and you could finally live like you wanted from the beginning. However that case changed too and all you wanted was to be with Loki and you were determined to have that life.
To be continued...

trick or treat! 🎃
A littel treat from "Always Prepared"
The moment Nesryn meets Thurash and Lorkin after arriving at the city-state of Thorkglesh, which is chapter 2 or 3. She just got her head wrapped around the fact she is in a different world with dragons and magic.
It must have been shortly before noon when Nesryn finally woke up. With the familiar soreness of the last few days, she stretched and tried to loosen her muscles as best she could. She didn't know what day of the week it was or what Kinarrah's schedule was, so she could only hope that the lively girl was sitting in class, and she could wake up in peace. Yawning, she entered the living area and found a tray with breakfast, as well as a note with a message. It took only a moment to realize that it was in the local language, and she didn't understand a bit. Aside from the fact that the writing looked like the Cyrillic alphabet, the Latin alphabet, and Norse runes had had an unholy union and this was the bastard child that had resulted. Even though the writing looked strange, she probably had to learn it quickly if she didn't want to be exposed. Nevertheless, she was glad to have breakfast.
Nesryn was still sitting in the living area in her sleeping clothes when there was a knock at the main door. Expecting it to be Kinarrah, she went to open it. She immediately regretted it as a mountain of a man appeared in front of her. It got worse when her not-yet-fully-awake mind threw the mental image of Chris Hemsworth as Thor at her. Nesryn shook her head to get rid of the image, but it persisted, predominantly because the man in front of her could not only be Chris Hemsworth's stunt double, but also had his shoulder-length hair braided at the sides, as Viking movies were so fond of displaying. Only belatedly she noticed behind him was another man, who for that had more resemblance to a red-haired and well-trained Loki, although probably the mischievous grin was the main cause for this comparison. "Neshryn? I am Thurash, commander of the Mage Guard. Alashtaire sent me." His bass voice positively vibrated. She furrowed her brow. "Yes, I am Nesryn. So you're my guardian? A guardsman right away? Man, I must be important." Thurash smiled sheepishly. His fingers nervously brushed the hem of his sleeve. "Your safety is important. We know where you're coming from. Even if it seems a little strange. The one behind me is my second-in-command, Lorkin. He'll take turns with me keeping an eye on you."
He bit his lower lip briefly, but abruptly let it go, as if it had occurred to him that it was a bad habit. Lorkin raised his hand briefly in greeting with a broad grin. "Well, come on in. I've just finished breakfast. For starters, perhaps you could translate the message that was left for me, if you would be so kind?" "Of course, I suppose the student left it." Thurash picked up the note from the table without paying further attention to Nesryn. "Her name is Kinarrah. I'm afraid you'll meet her soon enough," Nesryn called from the bedroom. "But not today. The message says she won't be back until dinner." "Thank you!" It took her a while to get back to the living area. She was wearing the loose pants she had come to appreciate during the trip and her T-shirt. Thurash's confused face told her that something about her shirt was unfamiliar to him. Lorkin's giggle didn't make it any better.
"Are you all right?" "Yes, but didn't you forget something?" inquired Lorkin again with that mischievous grin. She looked down at herself. "No, why?" "Do clothes always fit so tight in your world?" Slowly, things began to dawn on her. "Oh, um, more or less. It's already relatively loose." Nesryn tugged at the shirt a little. The fact that they were uncomfortable seeing her like this made her feel uneasy. "When we leave the compound, you should wear something else, so you don't stand out," Thurash explained with a knowing look at Lorkin. She nodded thoughtfully and joined him on the large, comfortable sofa. She had to hand it to the people in this world, they were exceptionally good at building comfortable sofas.

could u write something where the reader wakes up alone and falls into subspace and loki finds yn and helps them out of it <33
the morning after
tw: subspace, soft making out, implied smut, crying, mentions of sex, cuddling, fluff, i think i put a tad too much angst sorry
there's an pain in your chest when you wake up and loki isn't next to you.
did he really need you? you exhale shakily as you trace over the sheets, recalling the previous night when his hands had worked magic on you, leaving sparks of pleasure in their wake that, even now, you can still feel between your legs.
the pillow in his spot is the only sign that he, such a beautiful god, declared he wanted to bed you and make you feel good, and ruined every other man on earth for you before disappearing without a goodbye, leaving you so delicate, so broken, and lost without a way back to the life you lived before he stole your heart. you gingerly reach out for it, pulling it to your chest and burying your face in it.
god, it even smells like him.
he whispered his love for you, he said it so gently, he really did, but now you weren't too sure if he had meant it.
maybe he was just caught up in the moment.
and you squeeze the pillow to yourself, tears filling your eyes as you realize maybe you were too.
careful not to wake his lovely angel up, loki gently opens the door with his foot, walking in and placing two paper bags on the table, turning to your beautiful dozing figure with a gentle smile on his face.
only for it to drop when he sees you, asleep with a small, sad look on your face, hugging his pillow like it's your only possession in life.
concerned, he rushes over, almost tripping over himself. his eyes widen when he sees the half-dried tears on your cheeks.
"darling? angel, darling?" he whispers, patting your cheek gently. "what's wrong?"
you whine a bit, tossing around before your eyes flutter open to meet his worried gaze.
"...loki?"
"i'm here, love, i'm here," he coos, hugging you to him. "what's the matter? did i hurt you? are you sore? did i leave any bruises?"
he gently checks your body for any injuries or reddened areas, but you take loki's cheek in your hand.
"you're... you're here," you mumble, almost in disbelief that you're actually touching his cheek, that he's right in front of you.
"yes-yes i am. do you need ice? a warm compress-"
you look into his eyes, whispering something he almost doesn't catch- "where'd you go?"
he sits you up against the headboard. "i got breakfast, came right back, did you-"
loki stops himself, realizing the possible cause of your distress.
"did you think i'd just leave?"
you try to reply, but all that comes out is a stutter before you swallow and tears fill your eyes, just nodding to answer his question. "sorry-"
in an instant, loki has you in his arms, kissing your hair and your nose and your cheeks and your lips and your eyes, mumbling apologies and shushing your cries. you melt into his touch, too weak to reply.
"goodness, angel, i'm so sorry," he whispers. "i'm sorry you thought i just went away-"
"it's okay," you nod. "m' just happy you're here."
he sighs, brushing some hair away from your face. "i'm here. i won't go away. i meant everything i said last night. about us. about how i feel about you. about how i wish to court you and make this official. and most especially, dearest-" he leans in real close and mumbles lowly, "about how i think you look prettier not wearing anything at all."
your eyes widen at that, and he chuckles, pressing his lips to yours, taking his time and making sure to treat you with care. he slips his tongue in, one hand behind your head as he takes control of the kiss. when you whimper and wrap your arms around him, he chuckles in delight, pressing you down on the bed and spreading your legs.
"why don't-" he kisses your neck, "- we finish-" he pulls down his pants, and rocks his hips into yours, slipping his cock into you and growling when you squeeze down on him immediately, losing his composure when you moan into his ear. "- what we started last night?"
even as you're melting under his touch, you meekly touch his hand. "but- but- hah- the breakfast-"
"breakfast can wait, i've been yearning to fuck you the way you deserve for too long."

When They Know They're In Love With You
Loki Laufeyson x reader (reader is gender neutral)
Tumblr media
-all this man knows is be bisexual, style, self-loathing, daggers, eat hot chip, and lie
-so this is a bit, if not all the way, out of his comfort zone
-he doesn't notice anything too out of the ordinary for awhile, but something does feel off about his reaction to you
-he assumes it's just because you're nice, and you may be of use to him at some point, but something about the way you play with his hair to tease him has him a little...out of his body
-when you lean against him, elbow on his shoulder, for the first time in his long life, he can't think of a clever jab or a smug remark
-and when you spar, he stumbles and mistakes one foot for another when you jokingly compliment his hands
-it's completely and utterly unnatural
-this disarray you cause in him must be something of your doing. magic, deceit, illusion. whatever, however, it only needs to be stopped.
-he can't sleep without imagining you sleeping next to him, he doesn't eat without wondering what you've eaten first, and he has the insatiable desire to be near you.
-ALL THE TIME
-it's a little suffocating at times, because whenever you're in the vicinity, he seems to just stick himself to your side.
-he tells himself it's simply because he wants to understand what kind of game you're playing, and why you've chosen to play it with him.
-but, he rarely ever gets to such a point when you distract him with your brand new shade of eyeshadow, or your gifted pair of earrings
-i mean, really, you have to know how marvelously intoxicating the color green looks on you
-he's once again a little boy playing tricks on thor in the palace.
-he pokes fun at you endlessly, fools you with that bemused glint in his eye, pranks you with merciless intent, and is put out when he finds you're too smart for him accomplish it
-really, more often than not, he's the one making a fool out of himself. and the worst part is that he seems to like it somewhat. he likes that you know him so well and still choose to let him try his hand anyway.
-at some point, the soft upper hand you have on him begins to drive him wild, to mere insanity
-you must know what you do to him. surely, this card you continuously play is something you do to torture him. you have to know, or else....
-or else.
-what else could there be?
-once, while he and thor make plans to return to asgard, he asks to bring you with them.
-the thought of him being there, and you being somewhere else is oddly uncomfortable. the thought of you having fun without him is even more unbearable.
-with the image alone, the smiles you may gift to someone else, any exuberant jeers you hand to another seizes his chest.
-thor isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but he notices the odd way his brother says it, the nature of the question, and the fact that they won't be home for long enough for you to even really enjoy the experience
-coyly, with a simple jest, thor muses that loki must care for you a lot. enough to want to keep you with him for an in-and-out trip.
-and with it, his older, golden brother tears his entire argument away and presents the most painless, and uncomplicated answer
-he denies it at first. vehemently.
-of course he didn't care for you in such a way. he only wanted to let you glimpse his gilded home to humble you a bit. of course, that's why. he could never care for someone so...so..so
-thor was not convinced, but he didn't press further
-but i think the moment comes not long after. the moment when he would become the most agonized of fools if he decided to still refuse such solid evidence.
-evidence that proved that he did, in fact, care for you.
-it's after he arrives back from his same trip to asgard.
-he ended up completely forgoing the idea of asking you to come, so much so he even omitted to say goodbye before he left.
-the journey was disagreeable, and the stay was even more miserable. somehow, in a world of what he thought extraordinary people, he was dissatisfied. no one engaged with his japes, no one cleverly foiled his plans, no one knew him.
-no one was like you. and for once, he dwelled on it instead of retaliating. the loneliness was far more sore now that he had a taste of something different. all of his life he'd never quite felt like he had found an equal in anyone.
-until you.
-he's sure of something but he's not sure of what that something is until he finds you, late into the night after everyone has decided to sleep, waiting up for him.
-it startles him, admittedly. the silhouette of you in the gentle light, lingering against a kitchen counter with a slumped posture.
-something is troubling you. it's not hard to tell.
-and when he asks you what's bothering you, straight out, you jump with surprise and whirl around. and the look in your eye...
-oh, the look in your eye shoots directly through his heart. it's devastatingly relieved, pleasantly aching. steely with something exhilarating.
-he can barely function when you ask him the same. it darts out of your mouth with abandon, questioning why he left without a farewell. was it something you said, did? was it because he just didn't care to?
-and the pieces fall into their place, click, and light up inside his head.
-he wasn't the only one in shambles. you felt what he felt, too.
-it was never a jest, it was never a lie. you just liked him because you liked him. there was no ulterior motive to be had.
-and almost as if you can't get any more peculiar, you offer him a cookie.
-a cookie? at a time like this? when you're blasting his heart to smithereens only to re-assemble it.
-and you explain that you made them for him to say you're sorry. to make amends for something you weren't even sure if you did. plus, it made for a nice welcome home offering.
-ah.
-there it is.
-that's why. that's what else there could be.
-you're so outlandish, so strangely admirable and purely intentional. you treat him with a respect that's foreign to him.
-one that he did not have to earn.
-your jokes, your exasperated sighs, your mind so brilliant and sharp. a dagger of it's own.
-he can only laugh. and laugh he does. what else can he do in the face of such a simple, yet world-shattering thing.
-fuck, he's in love with you. loki

"You owe me." "I owe you $20 not a day of pretending to be your boy/girl-friend to get your parents off you're back." And/or “I think I’m in love with you” with Loki for blurb night :)
Masterlist
The golden light of Asgard's sundown cast through your bedroom window. The castle was alive and buzzing but after your long day of training with Sif- and her knocking you on your ass- exhaustion had overcome your body. And you had no problem with treating to your room while the others were out partying. You could almost hear from downstairs the shattering of glass as Thor demanded another drink. A groan left your lips as you buried your face into your pillow, cringing at the noise,
You had almost slipped off into a nice sleep when a banging sounded at your door. Muffled hollers came from the other side, but you couldn't make out what they said. You wanted to ignore them, but when they just kept going you shoved yourself off the bed in a fury and rushed over to open your door.
"What?!" You yelled, pulling the door open forcefully.
Loki stood there, hair messily falling down his face. His bright eyes looked confused at your anger, and he tilted his head at it too.
"Someone's in a mood."
"Someone's trying to sleep."
He rolled his eyes and pushed his way past you, laying down on your bed casually. He put his hands behind his head over the pillow and smirked at you.
"What do you want Loki?" You snapped, closing your door. You walked over to him and pushed him off your bed. He let out a slight scream as he fell to the floor, and his face was flushed when he stood back up. He adjusted his green robes, and let out a "hm," trying to cover his embarrassment.
"Well?" You asked. "Spit it out."
"Mother's holding a special dinner tomorrow," he started, his voice hesitant. "Thor is of with his little Midgardian pet, but Mother is expecting me to bring a companion."
"So?"
"So, I need you to pretend to be my partner."
Silence.
"WHAT?"
Your face heated up, but whether it was from anger or being flustered you couldn't tell.
"You owe me!" He hollered like a child trying to bargain. "I saved you on Jotunheim from that frost giant who tried to stab you!"
"I owe you 20 dollars, not a night of pretending to be your partner to get your parents off your back!"
"Please," he begged, grasping your shoulders tightly. "Just one night. One night and then I won't bother you again. I'll tell them it didn't work out, that you were horrible in bed or something."
"Me? Why not tell them you're horrible in bed?" You questioned, offense lacing your tone as you furrowed your eyebrows.
"Oh please, darling, nobody would believe that."
You rolled your eyes and let out a painful sigh, rubbing your eyes as you contemplated.
"Alright," you mumbled, giving in. "One night."
Loki smiled, relief evident in his face as he thanked you repeatedly. He pressed a quick kiss to your cheek before running out of the room back to whatever party he came from.
-
“I must say, my dear, I was quite surprised to hear that you and my son were together. I never thought you two got along too well,” Frigga told you before sipping from her wine. Her eyes bored into yours over her cup, almost as if she was analyzing your every move.
“Well, you know what they say,” you chuckled anxiously. “Hating someone feels a lot like falling in love with them.”
“Indeed,” Frigga laughed.
Damn, she even laughs elegantly.
“You know, Loki,” she continued. “Your father and I started as adversaries. I didn’t support his violent ways and he found my magic miniscule. But, once we got to know each other, really know each other, we found that we had a lot more in common that we had once thought. And I finally tamed Asgard’s great beast.”
Odin slipped his hand into his wive’s, lifting them so he could press a delicate kiss to her knuckles.
You looked at them in envy. They had been together for thousands of years at this point and their love never faltered. Your eyes flickered to Loki to find him staring at you, eyes wide almost like a puppy.
You looked back down at your plate, playing with your food.
“Everything alright, dear?” Frigga asked.
“Y-Yeah,” you answered. “Excuse me for a moment, I’m going to fetch some more wine for us.”
As quickly as you could without appearing impolite, you made your way out of the room and into the castle’s expansive kitchen. You leaned against once of the looming, golden pillars that stood next to the biggest stack of pastries you’d ever seen. You couldn’t help but take one slice of cake after you made sure nobody was there to catch you.
Shit this is good.
“Eating all the dessert before dinner’s even over? Should’ve known.”
A deep voice chuckled to themself behind you and you whipped around, halfway through a bite of cake, to see Loki standing there. His hands were hidden in his pockets and he slowly stepped towards you- closer and closer and closer until you could feel the tip of his toes against your boot. He brought his hand up to your face and wiped away what you assumed was some stray chocolate.
“What are we doing?” You whispered to him, eyes trained to the floor.
“Meaning?”
“You know what I mean.”
He shifted his hand to your chin, lifting it until your eyes met him.
“My mother has always been a wise woman. I was an idiot to think I could fool her. That whole speech back there? It’s not because she was so enamored by our relationship...it’s her way of telling me to get on with it.”
“Get on with what?”
Loki inched his face closer to yours until your nose brushed against his.
Cold.
“I think I’m in love with you.”
He didn’t do any grand gesture, kissing you passionately like you’d read in so many books after someone confesses their love. Instead, he observed you carefully, scanning your face and hoping for some sort of indicator of what you were thinking in that moment.
You decided to take the moment into your own hands.
Grand gesture, huh?
You surged forward, grabbing the front of his robes and pulling him into you. You crashed your lips onto his before snaking your arms around his neck and your fingers into his hair. You could feel him freeze under you at first, but he quickly melted into your embrace. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you into him, a slight thud sounding as you crashed into his chest.
“Finally! I’ve only been waiting 800 years.”
You and Loki jumped away from each other, heads snapping over to the voice coming from the doorway.
Frigga held her wine carefully in her hand, sipping it again as she watched the two of you carefully.
“Love is precious, don’t let it go, alright?” She said, but whether it was to you or her son you didn’t know. With all the grace of a queen she turned around, her light purple dress flowing behind her as she walked away.
“I love your mom,” you chuckled, falling back into Loki’s arms once you were alone again.
“She loves you, too. Just not as much as I do.”

Chapter 13 - Part XIII - The Sixth Year (Part Three)
Gossip really starts to irritate you when you go to lunch after potions.
"You want to say something to me, girl?" You charge impatiently when you hear the giggles behind you again, coming from a group of students sitting at Ravenclaw's table.
The group turns around with wry smiles on their faces, and you notice the editions of the Daily Prophet in the hand of one of the boys. It is Hope Summers, your classmate, who speaks first:
"We're just sharing some theories, Stark." She says in a provocative tone. "Some of us find it an interesting coincidence that just now that Mephisto is back, you and Maximoff are losing control of magic."
You frown.
"What are you talking about?" you ask in surprise, referring to Wanda, but Hope thinks you want her to keep mocking you.
"It's just suspicious that no one knows what happened to you in that dungeon, or at the ministry of magic." Hope counters. "And now you two are blowing things up, and we have a dark wizard on the loose."
"Fuck you, Summmers." You curse as you stand up, leaving the girl in shock at your aggressiveness.
The same auror from the first day stands in front of you as you try to approach Slytherin's table.
"Students must respect..."
But you interrupted his speech with a loud shove that sent him staggering backwards, and drew the immediate attention of several people.
You were seeing red by now, the man's wry smile only making you more irritated.
He drew his wand, but so did you. And the room held its breath.
"Put your wand away, Miss Stark." Warned the auror angrily, but you didn't.
Wanda stood up as she noticed the confusion, rushing to reach you, but the auror put his arm in her way.
"Now, miss." He warned again, and you grunted in irritation.
"Get your hands off her." You retorted, feeling your body fever with hatred.
"Stark." The man said, his arm reaching down to push Wanda back, and you exploded.
You didn't even finish thinking about the spell, the magic exploding out of your wand.
The auror masterfully blocked it, and you dropped your wand to jump on top of him.
It was a confusion of shoving, other bigger students pulling you away from the man and he away from you.
" Never fucking touch her again!" You warned snorting in anger, Thor Odinson stopping you from jumping on the man's neck.
"I just pushed her away from the line of fire, you crazy bitch!" The auror retorted indignantly and angrily. "Go to the headmaster's office now!"
"Fuck you!"
Thor pulled you out of the hall as the crowd of students whistled in celebration, excited about the whole fight. The auror was too busy dissipating everyone to follow you.
"Hey, hothead, calm down." The blonde warned as he released the grip of you by the courtyard. You grunted angrily, wishing you could break something.
"Fuck this school, fuck that asshole." You complained aloud, as Thor looked at you curiously.
"You have quite a rage, Stark." He comments, and you grumble in irritation.
But Wanda catches up with you the next moment, and she looks even angrier than you.
"What the hell was that?" she asks and you roll your eyes, running your hands through your hair.
"I think you are going to be fine for now on." Thor comments, smiling at the thank you Wanda says to him before leaving you two alone.
"So?" Wanda insists, arms crossed. You bite the inside of your cheek as you look at her.
"What do you want me to say?" You retort angrily.
"You just started a fight for no reason! Again!" She accuses. "Only this time it was with a wizard who could kill you. I want to know what's going on!"
"I don't know, Wanda!" You exclaim angrily. "Why does everyone expect me to have answers? I don't know! Do you understand that? It feels like I'm going to explode in frustration any second, neither you or Gamora seem to get it. I don't understand what's happening to me!"
"Because you won't talk to us!" She shouts back, just as annoyed as you are. "You're pushing everyone away! Even me! We can't help you if you don't talk to us!"
You grunt impatiently, turning around. There was a strange throbbing in the back of your head, a strange whisper. Like a voice telling you that no one was telling you the truth, that your friends expected too much of you, that Wanda didn't care...
This last thought made you sob. Wanda softened her expression immediately, taking a step toward you and touching your shoulder, but you pulled away from her touch as if burned, wiping your tears away quickly.
"Leave me alone, Wanda." You mutter between teeth. She hesitates, raising her hand toward you again.
"Please."
"I need some time from you." You insist, pushing her hand away, and walking away.
A part of your brain is begging you to go back and make things right, but there is a cloud of anger and irritation that keeps you walking.
//-//-//-//-//
You roll over in bed in discomfort.
Nightmares. Again.
It has only been five days since you had your fight with Wanda, and you are getting worse every day.
With Summers' teasing, you end up noticing other things too.
How the school really found the theory that you and Wanda were somehow related to Mephisto, because the minister had covered up what happened in the dungeons and in the ministry, and everybody thought it was strange that two students were showing an increase in magical potential with the return of a dark wizard.
Unlike you, who were failing considerably in any simple execution of spells, Wanda was demonstrating exceptional abilities. Kaecilius was more than willing to make her the face of progress at Hogwarts, you heard the gossip about bringing in reporters to share the news of the new direction.
You know that the only reason Wanda hasn't come after you yet was because you're running away from her like the plague.
And you couldn't even explain why.
You were also blocking out your real health condition from her. Just like you two practiced during the summer.
Besides hiding this from Wanda, you have kept your friends away too, isolating yourself from everyone else in search of a little rest, only succeeding in taking a nap when you are running away between classes.
And the detentions with Kaecilius keep increasing as you skip classes.
You begin to consider learning to write with a different hand, just so the bruise has time to heal, but at this point you don't even care about the scar anymore.
"You really must like pain." Loki teases wryly as you sit in an empty room, waiting for the aurors' shift change again after your detention.
You don't ask him what he's doing on that floor again, and he doesn't ask why you haven't spoken to your friends in two weeks.
"Sure, that must be it." You joke back, massaging your injured hand.
He assumes a pensive expression for a second.
"Are you sure you haven't been cursed by someone?" He asks, causing you to frown in shock and confusion.
"Excuse me?"
He gives a little chuckle, settling himself better against the wall.
"Everyone's been talking about you being sick." He says. "I heard some of the Ravenclaw people theorize that you became a werewolf over the summer."
You laugh helplessly, massaging your temples lightly.
"I guarantee that's not it." You say making Loki smile.
"If you are sick for no reason, it could be a curse." He says. "I wouldn't be surprised, the way things are."
"But how do I find out if I've been cursed?"
Loki takes a thoughtful stance.
"I don't know." He says. "But I'm sure you can learn that in the no longer reserved session of the library."
You laugh at the joke, but soon you both return to silence. When that hallway's shift ends, Loki sighs, getting up and helping you to stand.
"Still can't perform spells?" He asks, already drawing his wand.
"Only if I want to blow things up." You scoff making him laugh.
"Fine, I'll enchant you." He says. When you are transparent, he looks at you with an amused expression. "See you next Saturday, troublemaker?
"Don't worry, I plan on skipping DADA, maybe I'll be here tomorrow." You retort in the same tone before turning to leave.
//-////-//-//-//-//
It takes three more days for Wanda to finally corner you.
You are skipping class in an empty room on the seventh floor, trying to doze off, and almost fall out of your chair with fright when the door opens and Wanda comes in, looking annoyed.
You grunt impatiently, without lifting your face from the desk.
"I told you I needed time." You complain, but tense up when you notice the tears in her eyes as she moves closer to sit at the table next to yours.
" You want to break up with me?" She asks in a whisper and you raise your head immediately, feeling your chest tighten.
"What? What are you talking about?"
Wanda gives a humorless laugh at your expression. "Why are you acting like this is an absurd idea? You've disappeared. You've been avoiding me, not even talking to me anymore."
You shake your head quickly, feeling the urge to cry.
"I don't want to break up with you." You say. "I..I would never want to be away from you."
"You just said you need time away from me." Wanda retorts with annoyance, and you feel your stomach clench as she sighs. "I don't know what's going on with us. And I miss you, but you won't let me near you."
You are exhausted. So you cry.
You rest your head on your arms, and let your sobs fill the silence, hoping that the tears will take this bad feeling away.
It's Wanda's gentle touch on your back that helps.
"Babe, tell me what's wrong." She whispers to you, her tone concerned.
It takes many minutes for you to calm down. But when you do, Wanda holds your hand, kneeling on the floor beside the chair you are in.
"I can't do magic." You breathlessly tell her from crying, "And I can't sleep. I've been sick for weeks, and I'm angry all the time. Healer Cho doesn't know what's wrong with me, but everyone at school seems to have a theory about it. I think I'm going to suffocate, Wanda. I'm messing everything up. Between us, between my family, and at school." You sob as you finish and Wanda shakes her head, her hand coming up to your cheek.
"Don't say that." She urges. "You didn't ruin anything. Hey, look at me. I love you. Your sisters love you, your friends love you. We'll figure out what's going on."
Wanda hugs you tight, and you sob, shaking.
You want to believe her words, so you push the intrusive thoughts away, and believe it.
//-//-//-//
Wanda takes you to a door in that same floor you two were before, but you have never seen that door until that moment.
And you are very surprised to realize that it is a bedroom.
"How...?" You ask confused as she closes the it.
"Welcome to the Room of Requirement." She says with a smile, pulling you by the hand around. "We hold our Avengers meetings here." She counters and you frown.
"In a bedroom? Interesting choice." You comment and she giggles.
"No, my love." She says. "That's how this room works. It is charmed to meet your needs. That's why I asked you to come in first."
"Oh, that's pretty cool." You say looking around. Wanda smiles at you, and then you both reach the bed. "The room thinks I have to sleep?"
"I do too." Wanda retorts, pushing your shoulders gently for you to sit on the bed. "Go on, nice dreams."
You hesitate. "You gonna leave me here alone?"
Wanda denies with her head, pointing to the chair that probably just magically appeared next to the bed. You frown.
"Can't you sleep in the bed with me?"
She giggles. "We don't have much time for you to sleep. If I lie down, you'll want to kiss me. So I'll be sitting in that armchair, studying as I should." She explains seriously, and you pout.
"Stupid rules." You grumble moving your hands up to her waist. "Lie down with me."
"Babe..."
"Please."
Wanda sighs, then nods. You smile, quickly removing your shoes as she does the same. You quickly adjust yourself on the bed, opening your arms for her to lie on top of you, and she gives a little giggle before doing so.
"Are you cozy, sweetheart?" You murmur against her hair, and Wanda squeezes her arms around you.
"Yeah, your boobs are good pillows." She teases, making you laugh with reddened cheeks.
Your eyes begin to heavy quickly, fatigue catching up with your body relaxed by the comfort of the moment.
"Go to sleep, babe." Wanda whispers. "I'll be here when you wake up."
You smile with your eyes closed, surrendering.
It's the best sleep you've had in weeks.
The problem is that as soon as you start to wake up again, you are feeling sick.
You touch the emptiness in the bed, mumbling softly. When you open your eyes you find Wanda sitting in the armchair, the darkhold in her lap.
"Damn it, Wanda, this book again." You complain in a hoarse voice, but she just sighs.
"Why the attitude?"
"I hate that book." You grumble sitting up in bed, massaging your face lightly. "Why do you keep reading it anyway?"
"It's interesting." She says, closing the item to look at you. "Agatha really told me a lot, but there are also things I didn't know."
"For example?"
Wanda bites her lips, appraising you.
"Scarlet witches are forged, for instance." She says and you frown in confusion. Wanda sighs. "Many powerful witches, born scarlet witches, never got to fulfill their destiny because the forging didn't happen."
You straighten your clothes uncomfortably, pensively.
"What exactly does that mean?"
"What the headmistress did last year was my forging." She clarifies and you swallow dryly, feeling your stomach turn. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" you ask confused.
"Everything." She says upset. "I know we've talked about this, but it seems like all I do is cause you problems. With the bond, and with the forge. If Agatha didn't want my powers, she wouldn't have taken you to the dungeon and you wouldn't have suffered."
You poke at the knot of your tie, feeling yourself suffocate slightly. Wanda is speaking, you blink to focus on her words.
"I'm sorry, could you say that again?" You ask out of breath, sweating. You blink to find Wanda's concerned gaze on you.
"Babe, what's wrong?" She asks worriedly, her hands around your face.
You feel your head spin, and everything goes dark before you can answer.
//-//-//-//
You smell the scent of grass when you wake up.
Then you blink in confusion, getting used to your surroundings to realize that you are in what looks like a ward bed.
"Hey, all right, take it easy getting up, Miss Stark." Asked Professor Strange with one hand on her shoulder. In the other he held a potion that you imagined he had given you.
"W-what happened?" you mumbled confusedly, sitting up in bed. Only now did you notice Professor Munroe and Wanda standing in front of the bed, both with worried expressions.
"You passed out, but you're better now I imagine." Stephen explained gently, but you were still feeling very weak.
"Professor, she simply blacked out." Wanda commented in a tearful voice. " Don't you have any idea what's wrong?"
Stephen sighed, and then pointed at the chair, the darkhold.
"Where did you get that book?" He asked, and Wanda frowned, taking a step toward the chair in a defensive posture.
"What does that have to do with my question?" she retorted dryly, and Stephen looked at you one last time before standing up.
"There's a reason it's called the Book of the Damned, Miss Maximoff." He says."It damns its readers."
"That's ridiculous." Wanda retorted, crossing her arms. "I've been reading it for weeks and nothing has happened."
"Not with you."
Wanda hesitates, widening her eyes. And then she takes a step back, swallowing her cry as she reaches out to grab the book and hand it to Stephen.
She turns her gaze back to you, and lets the tears fall.
"I am truly sorry." She says with a mixture of guilt and shame before turning to leave the room.
You call out to her about three times, but she leaves and you don't have the strength to go after her.
"Damn, couldn't I have said that in a different way?" You complain angrily to Stephen, who just sighs, exchanging a look with Professor Munroe. "How come you two are here anyway?"
"It was Wanda." Professor Ororo replies. "She asked the room for someone trustworthy to help her with you. Then there was a door opening in the potions room. Stephen was there with me, and we both came."
"Great." You mutter annoyed, thinking about how you are going to talk to Wanda and convince her that you were not angry with her. "Would either of you happen to know how to make me better now?"
"Sure." Stephen comments by raising the book in the air, and with a wave of his hand, the item dissolves into several pieces until it is gone. "I didn't destroy it, if that's what you're thinking. I just put it away, to prevent something like that from happening again."
"Congratulations." You grumble wryly as you straighten up in bed, the same migraine from before is now weaker, but it's still there.
"You know, you had a better attitude when you didn't have a magical doom on your spirit." Stephen complains, causing you to frown, but Professor Ororo gives a chuckle.
"Thanks professor." You comment wryly, making him laugh. He sits back down beside your bed, and pulls out of the cover a small notebook.
"Now that Miss Maximoff has stopped reading the book, I suppose you will get better." Stephen says, making you sigh.
"You suppose? That's encouraging." You say moving to stand up.
"Where are you going, Miss Stark? You need to rest." Warn the professor, but you ignore him, and ignore the weakness in your body as well.
"What I need, Strange, is for people to stop lying to me."
"No one is lying, Miss Stark." Professor Ororo states next. "We really don't know the extent of the magic the darkhold carries."
"And why is that I imagine?" You sneer. "Because someone omitted the truth from you, and it's been passed down for generations, isn't it? Well, that's over now. Because we've finally studied everything in this place, including a book that condemns anyone who reads it." You exclaim impatiently, stooping down to put on your shoes. "If you two will excuse me, I'll figure out how to get better on my own. But first I'm going to explain to my girlfriend that none of this is her fault."
Ororo and Stephen are silent, but you wouldn't have been paying attention to anything they said anyway.
Soon you are up and out of the requirement room looking for Wanda.
//-//-//-//
She seems to have disappeared from the castle, so you must concentrate to use your instincts.
The hardest part is dodging the aurors, but you finally reach the astronomy tower.
You're a little out of breath from the run, but it's the image of Wanda standing on the edge, the sunlight in her hair that leaves you breathless.
"Hi." You say in a low tone, your hands in your pockets as you approach. She startles slightly, wiping away tears as she keeps her gaze forward.
"What do you want here?" she asks in a husky voice. You sigh.
"That you stop hating yourself and listen to me." You say and she lets out a short laugh.
"And what do you think you can say?" She questions turning her body toward you. "All I do is hurt you."
You shake your head, but Wanda lets out a tearful laugh.
"No you don't understand." She says. "Since I met you, you have only brought me good things. Affection, happiness, hope. You've been that kind warm feeling that I need on my worst days. Hell, you're even the memory for me to cast a patronus." She confesses with emotion, her face wet with tears. "But me? All I bring you is pain and suffering. And now I even bring sickness. This is wrong, I hurt you. You need to see this, and understand that we can no longer happen."
"Don't say that." You ask, reaching up to touch her face, wipe away her tears. "That's not true, Wanda. I love you, you make me..."
"Stop it." She interrupts with a sob. "Don't make it any harder than it already is."
"Please, Wanda, listen to me." You plead, resting your forehead on hers, your hands on her cheeks. "You make me happy, you are the only thing that makes me happy, I love you, please..."
Wanda kisses you hard, and you respond with the same intensity, both of you gasping into each other's mouths.
But then she is pulling away, thrusting you farther apart.
"I'm sorry." She cries, taking a step back. "We're over."
And she's running away again, and this time you don't go after her.
//-//-//-//-//
Without Darkhold's being consumed, you really start to improve in terms of physical health.
The only problem is the emotional ditch you find yourself in.
Gamora, Nebula and Mantis find you, again in the Room of Requirement, skipping class.
"My god this is worse than last time." Gamora remarks as she looks around at the mess of junk food and pillows. The room had been transformed into a "comfortable place", which basically had the appearance of a living room, with several soft armchairs, and lots of unhealthy food. "Why did you guys break up this time?"
"Please don't talk to me." You grumbled, your voice coming out muffled because you were lying on two soft puffs, your face buried in the pillow, your hand inside a bag of muggles snacks.
"I bet you five bucks they'll be back together before the end of the month." Nebula commented and you sniffled against your pillow, hearing a noise that sounded like Gamora hitting her sister.
"We talked to Wanda." Mantis said. "And with Professor Stephen, too. We're sorry about everything, but have you decided you're not going to study anymore?"
"I don't care about school." You grumble against the pillow. "Leave me alone, I want to cry."
Nebula gives a short laugh, and Gamora elbows her.
"Stop hitting me, you crazy." Nebula complains loudly, moving away from her sister to approach you, taking the bag of snacks you have, and making you complain softly. "And you stop being such a drama queen. Aren't you two like soul mates or some shit? It's just a fight, you'll work it out. You're acting like you've never broken up before."
"Your sensitivity is admirable." Gamora scoffs, pushing her sister away to sit next to you, stroking your back until you look up at her. "Do you want to talk about what happened?"
You feel the urge to cry arise again. "Wanda thinks she is bad for me." You say. "And she doesn't want to be with me anymore, and I want to die."
You start crying again, stuffing your face into the pillow as Gamora strokes your hair.
"How did this happen anyway?" Nebula asks, confused, chewing on salty snacks."You barely slept at home over the summer to be with her, and now you guys are breaking up. It's hard to keep up with this relationship."
"Merlin, Nebula shut up." Gamora asks impatiently, and her sister raises her hands in surrender with an ironic expression. You want to scream against your pillow, but all you do is try to control your crying.
"You can't keep disappearing, sweetheart." Gamora says as she runs her hands through your hair, trying to calm you down. "Kaecilius has already noticed. He's trying to figure out where you're going, and eventually he'll figure it out since you can't stay here forever."
"Maybe I can." You mumble making Gamora laugh softly.
"Come on, I'm sure you miss a decent meal." She says. "Why don't you join us for lunch?"
"I can't sit at your table."
"Who said anything about a table?"
This is how you end up on the edge of the great lake, at a picnic.
Mantis gets several dishes from the house elves, and since lunch is a free social hour, nobody seems to mind that you are eating outside.
Your sisters are not the only students who, over time, have learned ways around school rules.
You grumble slightly as you feel the sun on your face, but lie back on the grass, closing your eyes.
Your mind wanders back to last summer immediately, the memories of Wanda, and you feel horrible. You just want her back. And then you swallow the urge to cry again to accept the juice Mantis offers you.
"We wanted to tell you that we've found a way to help you, too." Gamora says after a moment, causing you to raise your eyebrow. "About the darkhold, and the eternal damnation thing."
"Light topic." You sneer, throwing your arm over your face. The day is hot. "I appreciate the help, of course."
Gamora giggles. "Merlin, I had forgotten how grumpy you get when you're upset."
"I'm not upset, Gamora." You retort angrily. "I'm frustrated."
"Sexually." Nebula sneers, making you grunt in anger, but Mantis holds back a laugh.
"What's your problem with my feelings lately?" You accuse the girl with irritation.
"Not everything is about you, you know." She retorts and you sit up quickly, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Nebula laughs, rolling her eyes. "In case you haven't noticed, there's a war going on." She says. "We're all stressed and scared. And the three of us have been in the same classes as you, having to watch the same things. But you only have time for Wanda. And now you've broken up, again, because there's some mortal danger, again, that she's caused for you. So, I don't know, but maybe she is right to break up. Ever since you guys started dating everything has been about her, and the trouble she causes!"
"Fuck you, Nebula!" You exclaim angrily, advancing against the girl in front of you. Gamora and Mantis quickly separate you.
"Hey, what's wrong with you?" Gamora shoves you. "Were you really going to hit her?"
"Fuck this." You curse angrily, taking a step away. "I didn't ask any of you to come after me. I don't need you. I just need Wanda. Fucking leave me alone."
You turn back to the castle, cursing the wild on your way.
//-//-//-//
Loki is the only friend you have now.
You wouldn't call him a friend exactly.
Kaecilius has put you in detention for three days a week, including Saturday, but mostly you just clean the castle. But when he takes you to the seventh floor, and makes you scrape sentences against your own skin, you don't worry about being alone anymore, because Loki is always on that floor.
It takes a week for you to tell him about the requirement room.
" You could have mentioned it earlier, we would have stuck around here." He comments without sounding upset.
Soon it doesn't take long for you two to start seeing each other even when you're not in detention.
You are not surprised that Loki also skips classes, he has always been quite mischievous, but the reason is different from yours.
He knew dark magic. Much more than you or your classmates. And he has no interest in practicing it in class.
"It's stupid." He comments as you are sitting in the armchairs. "Most people will never have the courage or willpower to cast a death curse. It's useless to learn."
"Is that the only reason you don't agree with the teaching at Hogwarts now?" You ask in surprise, setting up the chessboard for yourself as Loki shrugs his shoulders.
"I feel like you're judging me, Hufflepuff." He sneers but you smile, rolling your eyes.
"Honestly, I don't give a damn."
And you really didn't care.
Wanda was avoiding you in the halls, and you were doing the same with your friends and family.
When Iron delivered the mail to the Slytherin table, including Nebula's birthday presents, you wanted to throw up, but all you did was walk away from the Hufflepuff table toward the requirement room.
Without the darkhold, you didn't feel sick, but the anger didn't go away.
Your magic hadn't stabilized, and you were failing at everything, but you couldn't bring yourself to worry about it.
Erik wrote to you, commenting on the importance of you and Wanda practicing magical balancing together, and you burned the letter while crying on the carpet.
And at this rate, time went by.
It was almost the middle of the school year when things started to take a turn for the worse at Hogwarts, and in the wizarding war as well.
Mephisto is getting stronger, and the order is losing. And Kaecillius must be under some pressure from the ministry, maybe for answers from organizations like the Avengers, which are forbidden, because his detentions get too horrible.
It is Saturday again, and you drag yourself to the room where you are supposed to fulfill your detention, but unlike the other days, Kaecillius locks the door.
You only notice because he seems tense and distracted, and there is no feather or book.
"Professor, what will my punishment be today?" You ask confused, and he is nodding to the center of the room as he stands in front of the desk, a few feet from you.
"Miss Stark, today I want to ask some questions and I expect honesty." He declines as he turns to you.
You hiss softly, putting your hands in your pockets.
"Shoot."
Kaecillius doesn't even mind your lack of formality, looking at you with an impassive face.
"What is Mephisto's location?"
You choke in surprise and disbelief. "Excuse me? Why do you think I know that?"
"The ministry has reason enough to suspect that the Order of the Avengers is nothing more than a cover for the death walkers.Your brother, whom I had suspected of being part of that order of delinquents, is no longer at Hogwarts, but you will have to serve." He speaks and with each word you become more outraged. "Now answer me, where is Mephisto?"
" Did you just fucking call my brother a delinquent?" You mutter incredulously. "I have no idea where Mephisto is, what's your problem?"
But you widen your eyes when the professor draws his wand, and you barely have time to swallow dry before the spell hits you in the chest.
It's the cruciatus curse. You know the second it hits you. The sharp pain fills every cell in your body and you scream, not having the strength to stand or with your eyes open, hugging yourself.
"We must not tell lies, Miss Stark." Kaecillius says as soon as he stops enchanting you, the pain disappears in the same instant, but you continue to tremble.
In complete shock and fear, you sob.
"I will ask you again, where is Mephisto?"
You let the tears flow, and shake your head. "I don't know, professor."
Kaecillius lets out a sigh of disappointment. "Some cases are more difficult than others." He comments somberly, taking a step toward her. "Did you know that the record for enduring the Cruciatus curse before madness is six hours? Incredible, isn't it? It happened during the first war, with a muggleborn. You're a half-blood, maybe you can take longer"
He has a devilish grin as he finishes, and you clench your jaw at the threat.
"I don't know where Mephisto is." You repeat, but the professor points his wand at you again.
"My bet is seven hours."
And then the pain returns.
You don't know how long you stay in that room.
But it is long enough for your consciousness to begin to fade. The pain gets so severe that it gradually fades away. You begin to gasp breathlessly, not even able to scream anymore.
Someone help me. Please, help me. Help me. Wanda.
Between the tears you see the floor of the room, and between a twinge of pain, a red light. And everything is dark again.

“Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Warcraft and Wizard is arrested in flagrant by aurors from the ministry of magic this week, full coverage on page..."
You blink confusedly, your eyes getting used to the clarity, while the headline of the Daily Prophet was the first thing your vision caught.
And then you shifted in bed, realizing that you were in a hospital room , and whoever was reading next to you put the paper down when they heard you, and you could behold the curious look on your brother's face.
"Tony?" you whispered confused, and he smiled as he stood up quickly, the newspaper forgotten on the armchair.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked as his hand reached for the loose strands of hair on your face and put them back. "You scared the hell out of me."
"What happened?"
"What's the last thing you remember?"
You thought, and then sighed, closing your eyes for a moment.
"Kaecilius."
Tony bit his lip nervously before speaking.
"I'm sorry." He said, lowering his hand to his own. "I came here as soon as I got the howler from Professor Strange, but honestly, I didn't even need it, because all the newspapers are talking about it."
"What...?" You started in confusion, but Tony hurried to explain.
"Wanda found you, Y/N." He told. "She, well, wasn't exactly happy about the whole thing. I think she lost control. Kaecilius is lucky to be alive if you ask me. She almost destroyed the seventh floor, it was a huge mess. And then the aurors interfered, and soon there were reporters everywhere. I guess now everyone knows she's a scarlet witch."
You widened your eyes, straightening to sit up and grumbling a little in pain. Tony looked at you with concern, asking you to take it easy, but you were already asking about Wanda.
"She's at the ministry of magic." He clarified. "Kaecilius is going on trial for torturing a student, and she will answer for putting everyone in danger."
" What?" you ask incredulously, and Tony sighs.
"Yeah I know it's unfair." He says. "But the minister of magic seems to be looking everywhere for people to blame for his lack of control. The problem is how much of that information will get to Mephisto. The whole ministry seems to be full of walkers."
You ran your hand across your face, frustrated.
"I'm so tired, Tony." You confess in a whisper. "It feels like everything is falling apart around me, and things are only getting worse."
Tony squeezes your hand. "I'm sorry, I really am. This whole situation sucks, and I wanted to help you. I'm trying, sister. I haven't been talking to you as much as I should, but I didn't want you to think you're alone. I'm working on breaking the bond. To free you and Wanda from the prophecy, and the wizarding world from dangers like Mephisto. I'm sorry I haven't been by your side."
You swallow your cry, and nod, trying to smile at Tony. He reaches up to hug you, and you gasp softly, taking a few seconds to relax and let the tears flow.
When you calm down, Tony tells you that he is going to get a Mediwizards to check your situation.
You lie down again, sighing softly. The memories come back with full force, and you choke softly, feeling your body tremble.
It's as if you can feel the curse again, sense the pain on your skin. Opening your eyes and shaking the memories away, you swallow dryly and reach for the glass of water on the nightstand.
You just want Wanda by your side telling you that everything is going to be okay.
//-//-//-//-//
You stay under observation for two days.
Doctor Hank makes a joke about you enjoying St.Mungus more than you should since you keep coming back, but Tony doesn't laugh.
Then you' re going back to Hogwarts by train, because the doctor thinks you shouldn't use magical means of transportation for a few days, and it's weird to take the empty express, but as soon as you arrive at the station, Gamora and Nebula are waiting for you with boxes of candy bought in Hogsmeade, and tight hugs.
You are not surprised by the stares you receive from the other students, but you ignore them as your sisters escort you around the castle to the Hufflepuff communal hall.
"Did you get to talk to Wanda?" Gamora asks as soon as you sit down on your bed, sighing with exhaustion from the train ride. The mention of the other sorceress' name doesn't help.
"Not yet." You say. "And I wouldn't be surprised to hear that she's ignoring me."
Nebula exchanges a look with her sister before sitting down on Mantis' bed, who is hugging her knees and looking at you.
"Honestly, I just want to finish this year without any more problems." You confess as you take off your jacket. And there is a moment of silence before you swallow dryly. "I also wanted to apologize to you guys."
Gamora frowns slightly, but says nothing. You take a deep breath.
"I know I was under the influence of an evil book, but that was still no excuse for treating you guys like that." You begin. "Tony told me about how things are in the wizarding world. Everyone is going through something, and it was selfish of me to think that only my problems matter. I'm sorry."
"Really, Y/N, it's okay." Nebula says, surprising you a bit. "We were all stressed, and well, I think an evil book is a pretty fair excuse." She jokes, making you smile. "Maybe things will get a little better now that Strange is the director."
"Oh, that's right" You comment just then remembering the things Tony updated you on while you were at St.Mungus. Like Kaecillius' resignation, and the position being passed on to Professor Stephen. "But honestly, I won't be at peace until I hear from Wanda."
"The trial isn't until Friday. And the way things are going, we won't get any news until it's over." Gamora warned as she sat down on the bed next to you. "I think the Maximoffs are probably too busy to write."
"What do you think will happen to Wanda?" You ask as you tug at the loose strands of the comforter. Mantis sighs lightly.
"I don't have a good feeling about things, Y/N." She confesses and you frown in concern. "And the stars never lie."
"Thank you, Mantis." You mock softly, and Gamora runs her hands through her hair.
"Let's not be pessimistic, okay?" she says. "Maybe the predictions are about, I don't know, the school finals? It doesn't mean something bad is really going to happen."
You grumble unhappily, grabbing a pillow and sinking your face into it. Gamora strokes your back.
"I'm sure things will work out, Y/N." She says. "Wanda will write as soon as she can."
"Do you guys think Kaecilius will be sent to Azkaban?" Nebula asks next, making you raise your head curiously.
"I wouldn't be so sure." You grumble. "I was actually surprised that he was put on trial at all."
"Well, with the whole mess that happened, it was bound to happen." Gamora said. "More than half the school became aware that he used the cruciatus curse on you, and then the daily prophet. And I didn't even know they were in the castle."
"It was because of Wanda really, wasn't it?" Mantis added. "Kaecillius caused his own ruin. He called the journalists to show what he called progress and decided to torture a student while they were in the castle. Then Wanda destroyed the entire floor and the next morning his arrest was all over the pages."
"I'm just really outraged to know that if no one had seen it, he would probably still be at Hogwarts." Gamora says angrily, and you sigh, agreeing as well as the others.
"Well, you must be hungry, shall we go to the great hall? It's almost dinner time." Gamora comments next, pulling you by the hand. You grumble softly, but agree, and soon you are leaving the communal hall to join the rest of the students.
//-//-//-//-//
You are tapping your fingers gently against the desk as you wait for the History of Magic class to begin.
It is Friday, finally.
You have barely slept because of anxiety about news of Wanda's trial.
Things at Hogwarts have changed a lot this week, all because of Strange's administration.
He restored the old classes, banned the teaching of dark magic, the scandal at the Daily Prophet being enough of an argument that the Minister of Magic no longer had a defense over this kind of teaching at Hogwarts. The restricted session of the library was also put back, and the seventh floor was off-limits because of the destruction Wanda caused, and you unfortunately lost access to the Requirement room.
Mantis was writing what looked like a lunar calendar for the divination class while Professor Okoye didn't arrive, and you started whistling distractedly.
And then Thor Odinson was poking you in the back to get your attention, and you turned around in your chair.
"Hi, Stark, what's up?"
"Fine." You grumbled suspiciously. "Can I help you with something?"
Thor looked almost unsure. "I was just wondering if you know of anything going on with Loki."
You frowned. "Excuse me?"
"I mean if you know if he's sick or something." He explains. "We had a fight, and well, he's not talking to me. And I've noticed that you guys have been kind of close lately, and I was curious if you knew anything and..."
"No, Thor, I'm sorry." You interrupt with a sigh. "Maybe you should ask him that."
Thor assumes a sad expression. "I would, but he's ignoring me. I think it might be about our mother."
You make a confused expression, and Thor looks surprised.
"Our mother, she...died earlier this year, Y/N." Thor counters, and you widen your eyes. "Our family is a name of reference against Mephisto. With the war, the walkers came to our home. She was there while we were here, and Dad was at the ministry."
"I'm so sorry, Thor." You whisper to him, still shocked by the information. He shrugged.
"I thought Loki told you."
"We don't talk about things like that, I guess." You say. "Sorry, I wish I knew how to help you."
"No, it's okay." Thor says with a sad smile. "You being his friend this year is more than enough. I don't like seeing him all alone out here."
You nod lightly, settling into your chair as you notice the teacher entering the room.
Mantis exchanges a look of understanding with you, having overheard the conversation even if accidentally, but she says nothing, and soon you are hearing about the witch hunt in the United States, and you try to focus on that rather than curiosity about how Wanda's trial is going or Loki's current emotional state.
//-//-/-//-//-//
As soon as lunchtime begins, you join the Slytherin table, where some of the students have placed a radio on the table, equally with other students from the other houses, to listen to the trial.
You are not surprised that a student's trial is such an interesting topic for everyone, but after the school started talking about Wanda being a scarlet witch, and the theories circulating around the halls, it was to be expected.
So you sit back while biting your fingertips and listening.
"And now directly from the Ministry of Magic, the trial of seventeen-year-old witch Wanda Maximoff, daughter of legendary witch Erik L-"
Your attention is slightly diverted from the narrative when loud laughter catches your ears.
They are Gryffindor and Slytherin students, exchanging coins. You don't need to hear the conversation to know they are gambling about the trial, the mean laughter and glances in the direction of you and your sisters are enough.
And as if she could feel your growing fury, Gamora touches your shoulder gently.
"Just ignore them, Y/N." She urges and you clench your jaw. " Everything is going to be okay with Wanda."
"I hope you're right, Gamora." You grumble, turning your attention back to the radio.
The narration of the newspaper is generic, and you discover that the audience has been closed off to the reporters.
You take a deep breath, concentrating.
No strange feeling, so Wanda is safe.
You wonder if Erik and Pietro are by her side during the whole thing.
It is only at the end of lunchtime that you have the result.
"It's amazing how things unfold in the ministry this afternoon." Counted the reporter with almost excitement. "After a unanimous vote, the witch Wanda Maximoff was found guilty of endangering her fellow students by not registering as a scarlet witch to the ministry of magic, after it was proven that her father, the sorcerer Erik Lehnsherr knew of her condition, as well as the affiliation with the criminal, Agatha Harkness was also mentioned. The ministry finally decided on Wanda Maximoff's expulsion from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizarding"
You felt your stomach plummet.
And everything became a little muffled around you, a soft whistle in your ear. You think Gamora and Nebula were calling for you, but you were getting up, feeling the room getting too small.
Stumbling out, you loosened the knot of your tie, finally stopping in the courtyard as you leaned your body against a pillar.
Wanda had been expelled from Hogwarts, publicly exposed as a Scarlet Witch, and tried as a criminal. You wondered if they would break her wand. Banned wizards led horrible lives.
Your sisters and friends caught up with you quickly, and you let them hug you.
In a few minutes Director Strange is catching up with you as well, and you release Gamora's grip to talk to him.
"Professor, I need to..."
"You cannot leave Hogwarts, Miss Stark." He interrupts with a wave of his hands and you frown in confusion, ready to protest but he is already speaking. "Tony sent a patronus as soon as the results came out, he already figured you'd want to see Miss Maximoff. The ministry is a mess, and Wanda will be staying with her father there for the minister's final decisions. You should stay here, where you are safe."
"That's not fair!" You squawk angrily. "Wanda needs me, I must-"
"She needs you to be safe." He interrupts again seriously, and then lowers his tone slightly as he notices the curious looks of the surrounding students. "Be rational, Miss Stark. Now that the Wizarding community knows the nature of Wanda's powers, how long before Mephisto has enough information and discovers your identity as protector."
You swallow dryly, clenching your fists begrudgingly. Stephen is right. You look away, and he sighs, placing his hand on your shoulder.
"Wanda will be fine, even without her NEWTS, she is an extraordinary witch." He says. "And the year is coming to an end, soon you will be able to see her again."
"She needs me now." You grumble annoyed, turning away from the professor's touch. He looks at you for a moment and then clears his throat.
"I'll see what I can do, Miss Stark." He says."In the meantime, focus on your studies, and be careful."
You frown at Stephen's words, but he is already turning and leaving before you can ask.
As you turn to your friends, Gamora has a worried look on her face.
"Are you okay?" She asks, and you sigh, agreeing to hug her again as you mumble no.
"I can feel how upset she is, Gamora." You grumble against your sister's shirt, wishing you could hug Wanda now. Gamora squeezes you against her arms, and you thank her for her intention even if it isn't enough.
The next few days are like a blur for you.
Many letters arrive, as do many editions of the Daily Prophet.
When the picture of the day Wanda's wand was broken comes out on the front page and you see her tired face, you have to run out of the common room to keep from crying in front of your colleagues.
Everyone writes to you, even Carol, everyone but the Maximoffs.
It is frustrating, and honestly, it breaks your heart in many ways.
The news of a Scarlet Witch after a century is almost as bombastic as Mephisto's return, and you're not surprised that many of your colleagues would start to comment on the possibility of Wanda working with him or against him.
It's overwhelming how everyone talks about her, but all you can feel is how much you miss her around the castle, around you.
You couldn't even remember that your magic is stable, and with everything that has happened, you haven't had time to figure out how to fix things.
Stephen tried to help, but he didn't know what was going on. At least the theoretical part of magic you were able to master, and you hoped to get at least an acceptable score in some subjects.
Only almost a week and a half after the trial, Professor Strange interrupts the potions class to talk to you.
Ignoring the curious stares and whispers of your classmates, you ask Professor Munroe to excuse you, and leave the room.
"What is wrong, professor?" You ask curiously as you close the door, watching Stephen with his hands in his pockets. The dungeons feel emptier without the ministry aurors around the castle.
"Saturday, in the Astronomy tower, nine-thirteen at night." He says as he hands you a small gold key, causing you to frown in confusion. "You will have exactly one hour, Miss Stark. Not a second more."
You stare at the object in your hand, and understand. A portal key. To Wanda.
"Thank you, Professor." You say, and Stephen nods before leaving.
You turn back to potions, the object in your pocket. You could barely contain your anxiety.

You found yourself back in the house on Slumber island. He was standing right in front of you with a desperate look in his eyes, desperate but hurt.
"Loki I can't go, I can't leave" He nodded as you said that.
"You have to sweetheart, we can't be together forever" your eyes filled with tears of pain, that's what you feared would happen, you feared you'd end up with a broken heart.
"Noooo ..I can't. You're all I have Loki, you're everything I have, I can't be without you" you weeped and you could tell it was affecting him but he seemed helpless.
"And I can't be your everything sweetheart, if you choose me it's only going to be me, I'll be your everything but that won't be easy for you, you can't go on like that for eternity" He tried to reason with you but it didn't make any sense. You'd choose him for eternity if you have to.
"Why can't I lo? You don't trust me? I love you please" you moved towards him to hug him tightly and he allowed you, he didn't push you away, in fact he was holding you tighter than he had ever done before. You couldn't breathe, you couldn't breathe at all, you felt suffocated....
"Sweetheart wake up–" you opened your eyes and found him hovering over you, he looked concerned, you felt his fingers gently wiping the beads of sweat from your forehead.
"Looo" your arms wrapped around his neck, it was just a dream, it wasn't real. You still had him, you weren't going to lose him, not today, not this very moment.
"Nightmare?" He asked you softly so you nodded in response, he laid next to you then he pulled you into his arms to cuddle you tightly.
"What can I do to make you feel better?" you smiled as you peppered kisses on his neck.
After the moment you had spent with Loki under the water, you didn't remember much, you felt too hazy, too floaty to even register anything else, it was him and him only, he was your only thought and your only desire. And when he confessed that he loved you, you couldn't even believe it, a man like him loving you seemed preposterous, how could an ethereal being like him fall for you? You wanted to stay under the water forever, you don't even remember when or how he brought you back to the house but he did, he took great care of you after the sex and he brought you home, he cooked dinner for you, he fed you and then you two showered together so you could go to bed.
It felt perfect, everything seemed too perfect to be true. You couldn't sleep that night, the confession made your heart flutter every time you thought about that moment, somehow you dozed off but then the dream happened, and it scared you a lot. It made you uneasy.
"Hmmmm I am okay I promise" you climbed on top of him suddenly, taking him by surprise, that made him smile, his hair was dried and you could see the wavy curls, his hair wasn't straight like you were used to seeing.
"Do you straighten your hair?" You giggled and you saw his cheeks flushing, that rosy shimmer was too hard to miss, he seemed embarrassed but he was adorable. God you were absolutely, crazily in love with him.
"I ..use magic to keep them that way, so yessss" he mumbled softly.
"I love this, you are adorable" you said as you kissed him, your fingers played with his curls, he couldn't help but smile at the words. You felt famished, every touch, every kiss, everytime your skin rubbed against his you only felt hungrier, you felt insatiable and this wasn't like you, you didn't feel any desire for the opposite sex like this after that incident, it has ruined everything so this feeling that you had with him made you feel as if you were born again.
He kissed you with equal intensity, sex with a woman he loved, with you, meant to him as much it meant to you. He desired this too, he desired someone who'd choose him and him only, he had confessed that he loved you and he truly did, your happiness has became his sole reason to move forward but he also knew things won't be the same in the future, as much as he'd want to keep his girl all shacked up in his bed forever, it wasn't possible. You were a mortal with mortal needs, a need for friendship and companionship, a social life, he can't fulfill your every need, choosing him would require you to forget the whole world and choose only him. You can't tell anyone about him and he won't ask you to make such a sacrifice.
Losing him might hurt you for a moment but he would hope for you to move on from that pain and live your life the way you'd want to.
He was so deeply lost in his head that he didn't even realize when you had put his engorged cock inside your warm little cunt. He moaned loudly at the feeling of your walls constricting him so tightly.
You placed your hands in his to make him sit up then you rode him until you felt high on this ecstasy. Your bodies stayed tangled around each other for rest of the night, but he was gone the next day.
In the evening, you heard your telephone ringing so you picked up quickly. It was Natasha.
She sounded scared, she said that she needed your help, she wanted you to go see her and you didn't know if you could trust her. You hated feeling this way, the fact that you couldn't even trust the woman you had known all your life.
As soon as you reached her house, you saw Clint there, Steve was there too and that didn't help your nerves. You looked at Loki and he assured you with his eyes, he was there and he won't allow them to hurt you.
"What's going on?" You asked them as you crossed your arms and Clint chuckled.
"Stop your acting now, we know you remember everything" you gulped as he said that. You looked at Natasha and she couldn't even look at you, she was ashamed of what she had to do to protect herself and her child.
"I don't know what you are talking about" As Steve stormed towards you you tried to open the door and get out of there but you bumped into Bruce and Phil instead, you felt a pinch in your arm so you looked down and found a needle injected in your skin.
"What…are you .. doing?" You couldn't even finish your sentence before you collapsed onto unconsciousness. You did hear Loki's voice in your head though, he told you that it was okay, he promised you that he won't let you get hurt but you needed to know the complete truth about the island.
When you woke up you found yourself on the side of the beach, all tied up and unable to move, it sparked another memory, you have been here before.
You looked around and your eyes teared up, all the people of the island were there to witness the sacrifice, they all had a burning torch in their hand as they watched you struggling in your binds, you couldn't find Natasha. She wasn't there, She was at home, she couldn't watch them do this to you.
Steve walked towards you and squatted down to remove the duct tape off your mouth forcefully.
"What happened little slut? Aren't you going to seduce me today?" Everyone laughed as he spoke, you felt his hands caress your skin and it made you flinch.
"I'm here darling, I'm here, don't be scared, I promise I'm here" you heard Loki's voice but you couldn't see him.
"You're all monsters, you hurt and kill innocent people and for what?" You snapped at him and he snickered.
"You know up until that little stunt you pulled on me I really wanted to wife you up and shit, I didn't want you to die baby but you're too stupid for your own good, now you know what I'm going to do to you?" he asked you, you could hear the evil in his voice. He sounded manic.
"You're going to feed me to the stupid Banshee, is that it? Fuckk off" He slapped you as you said that.
Loki's jaw clenched, he promised to protect you and he wasn't doing his best, but there wasn't much he could have done without revealing himself. Besides this was your fight, and you had to overcome them all, then only you'd truly move on and heal from these people and this place.
"That? Sure of course and we will enjoy her munching onto your bones but first I'm going to ruin you more than that guy who raped you did, you deserved it for being such a bitch..I will torture you until you'd beg me to feed you to the Banshee" he snickered and you felt so scared, so terrified, this was your worst nightmare. You couldn't think of anything worse at the moment. He noticed the genuine fear on your face and was satisfied. You cried for help but nobody came forward, the kids you taught at school were there too, that's how they raised them, they taught them to have no empathy for the outsiders, you were just a sacrificial lamb and it was a ritual they had to follow, but that's not what disgusted you, it was the lack of remorse or guilt on their faces.
"How's Natasha alive, what did you do to her?" You screamed at Clint and he chuckled.
"What do you guys think? Should we tell the bitch the truth?" Steve asked the people of the island and everyone started to laugh as they agreed in unison.
"Well the plan was simple, she was the sacrifice and you were meant to die 'accidentally' you know" Bruce answered you. He air quoted the term and you just wanted to slap that evil grin off his face. "That's why we drugged you so if by chance you were found dead out there, we won't be the one to blame here, you never really wondered why we chose you to be here?" Phil chuckled as he questioned you.
"Because you thought I was weak and alone? Mentally Unstable? Is that it?" You asked him, seemingly unfazed and that annoyed all of them to the core. They wanted you to be scared and broken.
"That's right, we almost succeeded in our plan too but this asshole wanted to marry your friend, I'd too if I wasn't already married " Bruce chuckled and his wife Marjorie glared at him.
"The Banshee, she's kind you see, she spared Natasha under one condition" Clint said.
"What condition?" You asked him and you had a feeling nothing good would come out of it.
"That we'd bring her a new victim or sacrifice our firstborn, whatever comes first"
You looked at him shocked as he said that, how could he do that to his own child? Whatever Loki or Banshee would do to them after Loki saves you, they'll deserve it. They didn't deserve to be alive.
"You truly are a monster"
"I would have been, Not anymore though, we don't need to do that now that you are here, just in time you came back to us, your doctor friend brought the new blood back, it must have been our good luck that the sacrifice itself came back this time around, you're the only outsider to be able to get off this island alive, too bad you'll die a death worse than before, last time we really showed you mercy" Clint chuckled and you couldn't help but cry, it was too much. You didn't think you would have been alive right not now if it wasn't for Loki.
"Enough talking she's here" your eyes widened as he said that, so you looked to the side and you saw a black figure emerging from the shore, your heartbeat sped up immediately and you couldn't help but scream. She had long black hair but her body looked charred, she had hollow sunken eyes and an abnormally wide mouth, you saw those razor sharp teeth as they shone amidst the golden hue of the torch the people of the town were holding.
And she crawled, she crawled as she came out of the shore and onto the ground, her crawling seemed contorted too, you could hear the sound her bones were making as she dragged her body.
She made a screeching noise as she got closer to you and it only scared you further.
You saw the people of the island immediately getting on their knees to worship her, then they started chanting a prayer of sorts over and over again. Their voices echoed as they all formed a circle around you. You felt so scared that you couldn't keep your eyes open, you felt as if you were going to die again. You closed your eyes as you couldn't take this anymore but then someone picked you up so you started to scream, that's when you felt his presence. Loki. He walked you away from the people and you looked behind to see why they weren't stopping him. The imagery shocked you but not really, he was using his magic, you saw yourself on the ground in the same position you were just a moment ago.
"It's an illusion darling, you are safe I promise" you looked at him as he comforted you. You clutched onto him tightly but he continued to walk towards the shore, that's when you noticed the boat, he put you down on it and you let out a loud gasp as you saw Natasha lying there unconscious.
"How did she get here lo?" You asked him so he sighed.
"I brought her, I figured you would not want to leave her to die here"
You started crying as he said that, even though she betrayed you, a part of you understand why she had to do that, maybe she really did love Clint and maybe she was manipulated, she was hurt too and your friendship with her may not get back to what it used to be but you really hoped that she'd move on from this incident too. Her life has been hellish too.
"Row away darling, you'll reach the mainland sooner than you think" you shook your head as he said that.
"Come with me, I can't do this without you" you grabbed his fingers so he pressed a kiss on the back of your hand.
"I'll always be there sweetheart I promise, but you need to go now, you don't need to see what is going to happen here now that the Banshee won't get her sacrifice, you have endured enough already" you looked at the people of the town and they only angered you.
"They deserve to be punished lo, they can't hurt more people, Minola and other people who died here, they deserve justice"
"And they'll have it, I give you my word, they won't be alive to hurt anyone else" he took a few steps back and his fingers slipped away from yours slowly, your heart was sinking, this doesn't feel right, you felt as if you'd never see him again.
"Lo promise me I'll see you again…please" your eyes welled up with tears, your heart was breaking and he didn't feel any different. Things would change but they weren't in his control.
"You have me whenever you need me I promise" he waved his fingers and the boat started to drift away on its own. You weren't too far off when you started to hear the screams of the people, you saw the flames of the torches burning up higher and higher. She was pissed, the Banshee, she felt betrayed and she was going to take her revenge.
The boat stopped moving so you grabbed the oar to row away, that's when you looked at the deep end of the shore and saw her. Minola. She stood there staring in your direction.
It was dark and cold so you couldn't see that she was smiling at you, she was finally free from this cursed place, you put an end to it and she was thankful.
But you knew the truth, you couldn't have done this without him, if it wasn't for Loki you wouldn't have survived the Slumber Island again, you would have been its victim, you got blessed by a god and now that you were off the island, all of it felt like a dream.
As you reached the mainland you called Stephen, he was shocked to see Nat alive, you didn't have time to even breathe after that.
Word got out, people of the Slumber Island had disappeared into thin air mysteriously, leaving only two survivors behind. A whole community disappeared and it created havoc around in the media, your past was brought up too as people recognised you from the previous case against the hospital, you were questioned and probed but you didn't say a word, you just told them that you escaped with your friend and didn't know what happened to them.
"People had disappeared on the island before, where were you back then?" You asked the detective Fury investigating the case but he obviously had no answer. They all knew there was something wrong about the people of the island but they never inquired further. They didn't care.
You were allowed to leave as there wasn't any possibility that you could have been responsible for the disappearance of the hundreds of people. They had no proof against you.
You were so engrossed in the circus of reality that you couldn't see Loki either, you were either with Stephen or Tony while Natasha healed in the hospital, when she woke up she was shocked and overwhelmed to be back in NYC, you didn't want to talk to her so you left and found yourself a hotel room until you can figure out what you had to do now.
You felt as if he didn't even exist, he promised that he'd be there for you then where was he? For a moment you feared that he was hurt or banshee killed him but then it was impossible, he was too powerful for that. You missed him alot, there wasn't a second where you didn't crave his presence in your life, it's been a week and you thought he'd come see you but he didn't.
So you called for him over and over again, and he came too, then he told you the truth, his side of the truth and what he had to endure to keep you safe from those monsters. He lost his home, you were the reason he couldn't go back, he was bound in chains whenever he wasn't with you. That broke your heart, not because you feared that this was it for both of you but because of the sacrifice he continued to make for you knowing well that it would only make the punishment longer.
"You didn't tell anyone about me did you?" He asked you so you smiled,
"Who would believe me lo? You think they would believe me if I told them about the existence of a god named Loki and that he saved me?"
He shook his head as he looked down.
"Why loki?" Your eyes filled with tears as you questioned him
"I am afraid I don't understand"
"Why did you go through all that suffering for me? Why did you leave everything behind for me?" You asked him and he sighed, he walked closer to you and grabbed you by the shoulder to pull you closer to him
"You know why" you looked up at him so he wiped your tears
"You love me?"
"I'm in love with you, I have been enamored by you and the strength that you carried since your mother's prayers, I never understood why. On the island as I got to know you more it only affirmed my feelings. It only grew deeper. I'd choose to protect you over and over again if I have to princess"
You started crying as soon as he finished his words.
"But your home, you can't go back, I can't sleep ever again knowing that you're sleeping in that dark cell, all alone" He hugged you tightly as you said that "There must be a way lo, there must be a way to fix this, to get you out of there, there must be a way, tell me if there's something I can do, please"
He pulled away from you, there was a way but he couldn't do this to you, you just got back to the real world, you were starting to heal and he can't pull you back into isolation with him.
"You can not live like that forever sweetheart"
"What do you mean?"
"You have to let me go"
"Noooo I can't..lo I can't, you're all I have pleasee" you begged him, you didn't want to lose him, not today, not ever.
"I'd watch over you forever but we cannot be together, not in the way we want" you shook your head as he said that. His words made you angry too. They hurt you beyond belief.
"Then what was all that for? The time we spent on the island. Why did you get so close to me lo? Why did you treat me like that if you had no intention of staying with me?" You crossed your arms as you spoke and his eyes teared up.
"That is not why i–"
"I get it okay? I get it, I don't want to see you again lo if that's what you want, go finish your sentence and go back to your home, I'm not your responsibility" You said to him, his words had hurt you deeply and now you were doing the same. You couldn't think properly at the moment, you just wanted to be with him desperately but you didn't think he wanted the same.
"That is not what I want Princess but maybe it's for the best that I leave you be" you nodded as he put the final nail in the coffin.
You should have stopped him, begged him, you should have convinced him otherwise but you did nothing, you watched him disappear and just like that, he was gone. You couldn't feel him anymore. He was gone and you felt all alone, all over again.
It's been a few weeks and the more time you spent away from him the realisation only became clearer. You were in love with him and you didn't want to be without him but then you didn't want him to hurt because of you either.
You found a Sketch artist to get something made, you didn't have a picture of him so you needed something to get you by. You found a studio apartment in NYC and a job too, you were working and living in an autopilot mode it seemed. Stephen came to visit you so you invited him in, his eyes quickly fell upon the altar you had created to worship Loki.
"What is all this y/n?" He asked you as he looked at the picture you had kept in the altar so you smiled before you answered. Your answer shocked him. He never thought he'd see this day.
"Like mother like daughter, Why are you surprised Steph?"

Hi, I really missed you and happy you’re back 🤍🤍 would it be ok if I request something involving dealing with Loki’s greasy hair 🥲 I’m not picky just do your thing and I’ll love it
Thank you very much, and yes I can! I hope you enjoy!!
I think Loki likes using oils and hair products for his hair, and that's why everyone (Thor, 99% of the time) calls him a "greasy weasel". He's the type of guy who likes to comb his hair in the morning, whenever he bathes, before bed, or whenever he feels tension in his head - and will "treat himself" to oils and products that are suppose to give his hair vitamins and keep his scalp healthy. Either he gets too busy and leaves the product in too long - which, thanks to his species, won't let him lose his hair? - or he just puts in too much. I can imagine you would ask him how much he used and he just stands there all "...I just want my hair to look luscious, is that a crime?" "Of course not, but it looks a bit much." "I'm trying my best."
Either way, I think Loki would enjoy having a partner who wants and likes to help wash and groom his hair. He thinks it's a very intimate and sweet thing for someone to do for him - not to mention how nice it can feel to get a scalp rub/massage, and getting your hair brushed? Loki always returns the favor, of course, if you're comfortable with it. Braid his hair, try different styles and just rub his head and he easily melts into your touch.
While others could tease Loki about his hair, he's actually very proud of it. It's thick and healthy, and it feels silky when you run your fingers through it or play with it (I also want you to spoil yourself with imagining Loki sitting on the floor while you're on the couch, watching TV, and he leans his head against your thigh while you do whatever you like to his hair). I can also see Loki allowing children to play with his hair, if they felt comfortable: Morgan likes to use colorful clips and pins, Peter, Ned, and MJ like to try and recreate historical hairstyles from Loki's time on Midgard and ask him if it's right. Clint's kids like to play with his hair; Cooper is a bit rough in wanting to test his pain tolerance (and Loki is patient and doesn't feel anything), Lila is very gentle and Loki teaches her different braiding styles to show off at school, and little Nathaniel just likes to play with it and ask him if he likes having long hair, and if he feels pretty.
I imagine, whenever you have a stressful day and Loki's usual cheer-up tricks don't usually work, he conjures up rollers and puts his hair up and acts like he's in a spa (robe, slippers, etc), and he transforms your whole home into a luxury getaway. He doesn't force you to tell him what's wrong, just promptly gets you spoiled with magical baths and enchanted heated rocks to massage your back (and curl your hair up/put a cap on, just for the fun of it). Eventually, when Loki realizes he had his rollers in for too long, he takes them out and is pretty much sporting a Shirley Temple-do that confuses him and excuses himself to try and rinse it out.

Summary: A new team member in the group shakes things up for the super soldier.
Or: In which Steve casts you aside for a Carter only to regret his decision when he sees you with the God of Mischief.
Tumblr media
"Yeet."
Swiveling your chair, you saw the empty pint of ice cream hit garbage can, bouncing off the rim and dropping on the floor with a light thump. You looked at Tony, shaking your head. "You've been hanging out with Peter too much."
"Why, thank you." Tony replied, smirking at you. "So, tell me, you sexy vixen, how do you feel with Thor bringing Loki? You were quiet during the whole argument that almost ended with Barton ripping out his eye."
You shrugged, the heels Tony had bought earlier drawing your attention to your feet. "I'm fine. I don't really care, I mean, I wasn't with you guys when New York happened so I don't really think I get to have an opinion about whether the mind-controlled God of Lies gets a spot in the team."
"You realize your on the team, right? I'm pretty sure your opinion matters especially with the mass murderer joining." Tony replied, accidentally hitting himself with the candy cane in his hands. "I really thought you were going to side with Cap on this one. You always do."
It wasn't a secret that Steve Rogers wasn't completely on board with the plan. That was pushing it; in other words: Steve Rogers despised the plan. If he could kill it, he would've. When Thor had proposed the plan to bring Loki on the team (a punishment from Odin himself)—trying to convince everyone he was "good" now—less than a handful had let him continue speaking. The rest wanted to riot. You had just sat there, a smirk on your face as you watched the six of them fight with each other while Fury shook his head, looking like a disappointed father.
When everyone had came to an agreement on Loki's trial period, there had been pages of rules on what he was restricted on doing including magic and stabbing. Of course, it was very specific so even the God of Mischief couldn't find a loophole. Maybe he could if he tried, which he probably will.
Clicking your tongue, you shrugged, ignoring the little pang in your chest. "Not on this. I'm smart enough to see that there's more reward than risk to have Loki on the team. For example: he's not bad to look at."
Tony choked on his candy cane, coughing up a large piece. With wide eyes, he studied you in silence, trying to figure out if you had been joking. "Are you serious? We should bring you to Helen so you can get your head checked. There's a chance you might have a concussion from the last mission."
"You have eyes, you can see how regal he is despite not genuinely being born royal. And those cheekbones..." you trailed off, biting your lip at Loki's handsome features. Tony raised an eyebrow, slowly shaking his head. "Not that his perfect bone structure justifies all the people he's killed. I'm just very observant being an avenger and all."
"Uh-huh, yeah, yeah, yeah, sure." Tony mumbled, leaning back on his chair, his eyes narrowing after your confession. "Ms. Natalia Romanoff didn't get the chance to tell me what happened between you and old Capsicle."
Rolling your eyes, you spun around in your chair, facing away from the nosy billionaire. "There's not that much to tell. We talked, we liked each other, then the sun came up and reality set in as the form of Sharon Carter. It didn't take long for him to ditch me to go for Peggy's niece. Anyways, been there, done that. People change."
"You're not the same girl I met." Tony stated. "On that note, Rogers' old brain is still defrosting and he's getting older so I don't think he knows how stupid he is...yet."
"And I'm not going to wait for him to find out." you muttered, a loud sound coming from the big yard. Looking through the garage window, you saw the blinding light before two figures in different colored capes appeared, the blinding light ruining the fresh-cut grass. Beaming at Tony, you got up. "Want to plan a party with me?"
"You say that like I'd have the ability to say no. Tonight?" Tony replied, grinning at thought of loud electronic dance music and booze.
Getting up, the stilettos clicked on the floor, your perfect pedicure peeking through the hole. Smiling, you walked towards the door. "Well, we are in the presence of two Gods. I think it's only fair we celebrate like it."
"I'm putting Party in the USA on the track-list!"
Rushing to the lawn where the rest of the team gathered, your mood was lightened by the sight of the golden haired retriever in disguised as a jacked God. Ignoring the others, you threw yourself at Thor, the God of Thunder catching you, arms tightening around your body. You let out a breathless laugh, momentarily forgetting your idiotic plan to avoid Steve. "Thor!"
Thor guffawed, lifting you off the ground, shouting your name in glee before letting you breathe again. "My favorite avenger! Miss me?"
"Duh." you responded, glancing at Loki, who had magically changed into an all-black suit, his shoulder length raven-colored hair slicked back. His eyes narrowed slightly at the team who had defeated him. He looked even better in person. "So, that's Loki."
Natasha spoke up before either Asgardian could. She stepped closer, observing him with you. "Not sure. He isn't as smug as before—"
"And he's missing those horrendous reindeer horns he was wearing." Clint chimed in, crossing his arms. His hate for Loki—which had increased when he found out the man who once controlled him was coming to the team—was almost as deep as Steve's. "He looks like a witch in that black suit."
Thor snickered, releasing Loki from the handcuffs that held him. "As you all know, my adopted brother's punishment from Father is to help Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Loki understands all the rules, and he will so follow them accordingly. Isn't that right, brother?"
Loki rolled his eyes, sighing before reluctantly nodding. "Yes, I will."
"Let me make this clear, Loki." Steve stepped up, Sharon right behind him, face composed. You had to fight the urge to roll your eyes at the couple. "If you break one rule, no matter how small, you will be sent back to Asgard and face Odin's alternate punishment. Just so you're clear, we won't hesitate to send you back."
The God of Mischief smirked, feeling smug knowing he could push the super soldier's buttons. "Of course, Captain. I wouldn't dream of breaking the rules enforced."
Everyone could sense the sarcasm and mockery in his voice, all of them tensing. Thor sighed, clapping his brother on the back, the force making Loki take a steps forward. "Come on, brother. I'll show you your quarters before you get punched by Lady Natasha."
Without waiting for Loki to answer, Thor practically pulled Loki's arm off, pulling him towards the building, crossing the ruined lawn that Tony would bitch about later. Everyone followed them, staying a few feet back, wary of the new team member. You noticed Steve stealing glances at you, quickly moving away from Sharon's side and made his way to you.
Without being too obvious, you squeezed your way between Bruce and Natasha, snaking your arms between there's, hoping it would give Steve the impression not to talk to you. Ever. Natasha threw you a sympathetic smile, squeezing your wrist while Bruce raised an eyebrow, clearly confused.
Thor continued talking about the new compound, leading his brother to the entrance while pointing out installments that would've seemed impressive to a simple "midgardian."
He might've unconsciously murdered people but he kinda thicc.
At that exact moment, Loki turned around, his piercing blue eyes meeting yours. His smirk grew, glancing between you and Steve before turning back. It had been so quick that you weren't sure it even happened. The group scattered as soon as they stepped a foot inside; Bruce heading to the lab, Steve following him while Sharon split and headed up to Medbay, Natasha hitting the gym with Clint, leaving you alone with Thor and Loki.
Unfortunately, Thor's room had been across yours, the empty room next to yours becoming Loki's so both a spy and a god could keep an eye on the trickster. Both Tony and Steve had fought on that, Steve concerned about your safety while Tony argued back, telling him you could keep yourself safe. If not, Thor was there. That had angered you; Steve didn't think you were capable of fighting off Loki if it came to it, and that made you roll your eyes at him, exiting the room.
"...and this will be your quarters. Decorate it any way you want, just no magic." Thor continued, reaching the area of your rooms. It was a big arc, the area looking like a semi-circle with three doors spaced evenly out. "My chambers is across Lady Y/N's, so we won't have any problems. She's a smart one, brother. Anything else to add, Sunshine?"
You ignored the nickname, eyes narrowing at the black-suited man. "There's a party tonight 'celebrating' the addition to the team. It starts at 8 so don't be late or else Tony will have your head. Also, if you wake me up before seven in the morning, watch your back 'cause I hold grudges."
Giving Thor a smile, you head to your room, closing the door with a sigh. On the other side, you heard Loki chuckle once. "I like her."
"She's serious. She almost ripped my heart out the one time I accidentally woke her from her slumber." Thor added, the clap on his brother's back loud. "Get ready for the party, Loki."
Loki had been forced in his room by his brother, the door closing after him. He listened carefully, hearing you plop on your bed. He bit back a smirk, a plan unfolding in his brain. With a swift gesture of a finger, the room had been decorated, the hideous white theme changing into an exact copy of Loki's bedroom in Asgard.
The day went by fast as you wasted it away planning the party with Tony, who had, in no way, helped. You had ran off to your room once the people Tony had hired came, setting up everything in the main room. As you walked to the three-bedroom wing, you saw Steve rocking back and forth in front of your door, his hands in his pocket while Thor gushed about his flying hammer.
Relief washed over his face as soon as he spotted you, and you almost turned around, wishing you had gone to Natasha's room to get ready.
Steve called out your name, abruptly ending his conversation with Thor. As you walked closer, you could see the concern etched on his face. "Hey, are you okay?"
Thor watched your reaction, your face fighting the urge to make a face at America's sweetheart. Maneuvering your body, you slid between the two men to get to your room. "I'm fun-fucking-tastic. Thor, remind Loki about the party. I didn't spend the whole day with Tony for Loki to miss his own party."
"I'll be there, darling." Loki chimed in, his head poking out of his bedroom. Everyone turned to look at him, seeing the not-so-subtle wink he gave you.
Ignoring Steve's clenched fists, you moved past them, entering your room. Before closing the door, you said, "Tony requests the presence of all three of you, by the way. There's no way you're getting out of this. See you at 8!"
With a sighed of relief, you closed the door in Steve's face, the loud slam cutting off whatever he was about to interject. He could talk to Sharon about whatever shit he was dealing with, the girl he chose. You were no longer someone he could vent to after the shit he pulled, leading you on before leaving for Sharon Carter. It was then that you came to the decision to not love so easily.
Getting ready for the party took longer than you thought it would, the hot shower burning your skin to the point your skin started to redden. Your mind wandered to Loki, curios about the wink. Maybe it was his way of messing with people, a loophole that had not been included in the agreement. Realizing how inappropriate it was to think about the God while showering, you quickly turned the water off and stepped out.
Knowing Natasha, she's be disappointed if you didn't dress up like your inner slut, the one that got fucked up in Tokyo, and the petty hoe who would do everything to make Steve Rogers regret his decision. Well, you weren't going to let your sestra down.
The sultry, tight red dress was almost too short to be considered decent. With it's low cropped top, your tits we're begging for attention, the bra non-existent. Your new motto: protect the city, free the titties. The matching red stilettos would've been a pain if you hadn't started wearing them so early in your life. You let your hair down, running hand through it before slapping some natural makeup on your face, trying not to look desperate for attention.
It was around 8:15 when you finally finished, already exhausted by the amount of work you had to put on for others, but mostly for yourself. Either Tony or Natasha would come barreling through your door if you were going to be any later. Rushing, you took a quick look in the mirror before opening your door, nearly bumping into the God of Mischief.
He was dressed in a black buttoned-downed dress shirt with matching dress pants. Like before, his hair was slicked back, the shoulder length, raven hair looking silky and sexy. You both eye each other, eyes appreciating the sight in front of them. It wasn't until you finally met his eyes that he cleared his throat, a smug smile covering half his face.
"Would you mind accompanying me to the party, Lady Y/N? My brother is an idiot and cannot give a proper tour with his minuscule organ that he calls a brain. As of that, I do not know where this celebration is held." Loki explained, holding out his arm, waiting for you to take it. He raised an eyebrow while you hesitated. "If not, I could just follow you and everyone would assume I'm planning to have your head."
"Jesus Christ, you and Thor are so fucking dramatic." you grumbled, taking Loki's arm, your arm snaking around his. "Must run in the family, huh?"
"I'm adopted."
"I don't care."
Loki darkly chuckled, feeling your warm body against his, letting himself grow closer, enough that he could feel more of you but not enough that you would've noticed. "I sincerely hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you look rather ravishing, darling."
"Have you ever thought of cutting your hair?" you replied, loving the way Loki's smug expression wavered—probably expecting a compliment—before composing himself. "You'd look less like Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean."
"I don't understand." Loki said, leading you towards the elevator. For someone who claimed they didn't know where they were headed, he had the sense of knowing where everything was.
You waved the pop culture reference away, pushing the elevator button. "You wouldn't. Is Thor already at the party?"
"I'm quite positive."
The rest of the walk to the main room was quiet, neither of you making small talk as you led him. More like, he led you. You were suspicious he had stayed back and faked not knowing the compound in order to mess with you. But you waved that thought away, focus on getting distracting yourself from Steve.
You could hear the party before seeing it, the big room had been half full, not too much, not too little, yet you had been surprised considering how extra Tony could be. Letting go of Loki's arm, you walked to the bar where Natasha was sipping a glass of whiskey, ignoring the rest of the party. She pulled out a bottle of gin as you arrived, raising an eyebrow at your accompanied date.
"Before you say anything, he didn't know where the party was so he asked me to guide him. Nicely if I might add." you said, pushing back the bottle, settling on a bottle of water instead.
Natasha smirked, watching Loki interact with his brother, a frown deepening on his face. "He knows where everything is, Thor gave him the whole tour while you were with Tony. Can't believe you took the bait."
"Ugh." you grumbled, wishing you could forget about tomorrow and drown your problems in alcohol but the last hangover nearly killed you.
"Stevie doesn't look to happy with you showing up with Loki." Natasha noticed, the smirk widening as she watched Steve's glare grew more lethal as Loki's grin got bigger. "This is so much better than America's Next Top Models fails. Do you wanna bet that one of them will punch the other before the party is over?"
"Daddy, chill." you mimicked, turning to see how enraged old Capsicle is. But with the blonde besides him, looking up him in both wonder and worry, he had no right to be angry at Loki for attending a party that had been thrown for him, despite the many people he murdered—while being controlled. "He can't seriously still be sour about Loki joining."
The redhead giggled, a little drunk from the amount of alcohol she already consumed. "I don't think that's what he's so broody about, not anymore at least. He was smiling until he saw you on Loki's arm."
"Ain't my fault he chose Peggy's niece over me, meaning he doesn't get to be jealous whether Loki is my date or a walker for these killer stilettos." you muttered, secretly loving and hating the jealousy that oozed out of Steve Rogers. Even his blonde date had noticed. "Look at these heels, aren't they gorgeous?"
"Almost as gorgeous as you." Natasha replied, winking just before she drowned the rest of her drink. She winced a little at the taste.
"How many of those have you had?" you wondered, eyeing the spy. After the worst hangover of both your lives, Natasha had made you swear to never let her get that drunk again. Although with the rate she was going, you feared you had been too late.
She shrugged, taking your bottle of water. "Four. Oh, look, here comes Steve."
Before you could ditch, Steve leaned against the counter, his blue buttoned down shirt matching his blue eyes. Natasha not-so-subtly walked to the other side of the bar, motioning for Bruce to keep her company, although knowing her, she'd listen to every word.
"Rogers," you greeted coldly, looking everywhere but him. He tensed at your cold greeting, the frown looking permanently pressed on his face. "Enjoying the party?"
"Yeah."
Lie.
"Good."
You sat there for a good two minutes before he cleared his throat, shifting his weight nervously from one foot onto the other. Steve coughed in his fist. "So...living near Loki isn't too much trouble, is it? He causing any trouble, yet?"
"Sweet as an angel." you replied sarcastically, wishing you were anywhere but here. Loki caught your eye, raising a hand to wave and the group that had been brave enough to be near him, gasped in shock, the noises audible across the room. Their reactions made you chuckle.
Steve cleared his throat, this time louder. "Would you like to dance?"
"Ask your girlfriend." you fired back, satisfied by the hurt on his face. After the stunt he pulled, leading you on only to stomp of your heart, you wanted to be selfish and make him suffer just a little bit. Thankful, Loki came to your rescue.
Ignoring Steve, he held out his arm once again, a smile playing on his lips as he took in the tense situation between you and Steve. But before he could utter a single word, Sharon decided it was the perfect time to come looking for Steve. She assessed the situation, awkwardly noting Loki's presence.
"Er, hello." Sharon said, standing in false bravery. She wouldn't admit it, but she was afraid of the God of Mischief.
Loki gave her a curt nod and held out a hand to you instead, easily fitting yours in his. He murmured your name, softly kissing your knuckles. "Would you like to dance? This is the first song that came on that has not made me want to tear my ears off."
"Why, yes, I would." you agreed with a grin, moving your body close to Loki as you reached the unofficial dance floor, everyone's eyes on the both of you, with shock and slight fear. You would've cackled at their reactions—and it looked like Loki wanted to, too—if you hadn't been raised with manners. "Thank you."
Loki raised an eyebrow, surprised by the words. "For what, if I may ask?"
"Saving me back there. I don't need that kind of drama in my life. Not anymore." you explained, drinking in the warmth of his arm wrapping around your waist as you both slowly swayed to the slow song.
The raven-haired God smiled—not the smug smirk he wore, but a genuine one that Thor hadn't seen his brother wear for a few years now. "My pleasure. A lady like you deserves someone who'll give her his undivided attention. Any suitor would be lucky to have a tenth of your attention."
A coping mechanism: you rolled your eyes but you couldn't help the small smile that forced itself on you lips. You bit it back, hoping no one had noticed.
Loki had. And he meant every word he said.
By the end of the night, you found yourself naked, against the wall and legs wrapped around Loki's waist. Lips crashed against one another, soft kisses trailing down necks, leaving little love marks that would surely be dark. But at the moment, you didn't care. Not when Loki whispered sweet nothings in your ear as he took you from behind, above, underneath, and even on the side. You had both been teasing each other at the party and now you had given in, no matter the consequences.
Annoyed Steve had missed the date he had asked you on, you walked up to his room, heels clicking. You had waited for him for over two hours, texted him and getting no replies, leaving the restaurant with the humiliation of being stood up.
But as you neared his door, you heard crying. But it wasn't Steve. Peeking inside, you saw Sharon. Pretty, talented Sharon. Her eyes were red, tears steaming down her cheeks while Steve hugged her shoulders, resting his chin on her head as he comforted her. Jealousy and hurt knocked the breath out of you.
You waited.
And waited.
And it happened. Leaning in slowly, he kissed her. Softly, like he had kissed you. And she kissed him back, finding comfort in the kiss.
Heart breaking in two, you left, leaving the door open. The couple broke their kiss long enough to see you walk away through the slit of the door. Steve hung just head, feeling terrible. But Sharon had helped him as he had. This time, they hadn't stopped at kissing, forgetting the girl who had her heart broken by the man who claimed he would never hurt her.
Steve knew it was over between you two, but he could focus his attention on caring as much as he wanted to when Sharon kept kissing him. He did try to apologize only to learn you had went to visit Thor in Asgard, leaving him to feel sorry for himself and his decisions. Yet, he still found temporary comfort in Sharon's arms.
You woke to the warmth of Loki's arms around you. Opening your eyes, you found yourself tangled limbs with the God of Lies, your hair a mess, a hand over his chest and a leg over his waist. Your cheek rested on the crook of his neck, fitting perfectly as if he was made for you.
"Good morning." Loki whispered, stroking your hair with one hand, the other softly massaging your thigh. "Sleep well?"
Nuzzling into his neck, you snorted at the irony. "Don't know, considering we didn't do much sleeping."
Loki chuckled, pressing a soft kiss on your head. "Touché. It would only be fair of me to apologize for the love marks I left on your soft skin last night. Forgive me but I could not help myself."
Gasping, you jumped up, looking at the vanity mirror across your bed to find your collarbone, neck, and the top of your breast covered in Loki's hickeys. He looked rather proud of himself than sorry. "Loki!"
"Please note my apologies are genuine when they are directed towards you. Although, I have to admit, I'm quite proud of myself. It's my best art." Loki announced, bringing himself up on his elbows, eyes ravaging your naked flesh, littered with his marks.
Noticing the difference between your bodies, you quickly turned around to see the reflections had been right; Loki's body remained unmarked. "I swear to god I left hickeys and bite marks all over you last night."
"You tried but got rather mad when my skin healed itself." Loki explained, pulling you back in his warm arms. The soft gesture surprised you, the whole situation coming into light. You had slept with Thor's murderous brother. Loki read your thoughts. "Don't be like that, love. What what I can remember, you enjoyed yourself last night quite immensely. If it will make you feel better, I can show all the love bites you made the night before."
Thankful you hadn't drank anything last night, you had been so happy to not wake up with a hangover and Loki. Turning to face him, you raise an eyebrow. "What?"
With a smirk, his chest gleamed green for a second before it uncovered layers and layers of hickeys, and reddening bite marks. It was identical to yours. You gasped in shocked while Loki stared at you in amusement, his arms tightening. "You did a little bit of damage. I'm proud."
"Holy shit—" you were cut off by Thor and Steve bursting into your room, the sudden motion making you cover up your naked chest with a shriek. The two men's jaws dropped as they took in the scene, Loki's bare chest covered with the evidence from last night, his arms wrapped around you while you stared at them with wide eyes. "Knock, goddamnit!"
Both of them stood in silence, their brains not processing what was in front of them. Steve's eyes had mirrored yours from when you caught him kissing Sharon, eyes watering, you could see his heart breaking just by making eye contact. But at that moment, you couldn't find yourself to care, not with Loki's arms around you.
"What—" Thor began.
Loki smirked, kissing your bare shoulder. "Hello, brother."

You checked your hair and make up one last time before going down and waiting for Loki.

"You look nice, is that a new dress?" your father asked.

"Yes, we got one for ourselves when we went to get one for the queen." you smiled and he nodded.

"It's nice, are you coming with us?"

"No, we're going to go with Loki, Sif and Thor will be with us too." you explained and he nodded again.
"Okay, we'll see you there then." Oh, you hoped you wouldn't. Your relationship with your parents were a little complicated and you didn't like to be around them while you were with your friends.

"Yeah, sure. Oh here they are!" you opened the door and smiled when you saw your friends. "Bye father." you closed the door and started walking with them.

"You guys timed that knock so perfectly!" you smiled making them chuckle.

"You're welcome, you look amazing y/n." Thor smirked. You actually wanted to hear that from Loki first.

"Thanks Thor, you all look really nice too." you smiled and kept walking. Your house wasn't too far away from the palace so you got there in no time. You went and hugged Frigga and Odin before you went to sit down at one of the more special tables.

"We'll go get drinks, you guys sit." Thor grinned and left with Sif, leaving you and Loki alone.

"Why does that fabric look so familiar?" Loki joked.

"It was your mother's suggestion, i really like it." He smiled and he seemed like he was thinking what to say before he talked again.

"You look really nice, it suits you." There was that small blush on his cheeks again, and probably on yours too.

"Thank you, you look good too."

"Here we are!" Thor shouted putting the drinks on the table. You weren't the biggest fan of Asgard's drinks, they were too strong for you but Thor and the other two seemed comfortable drinking them. Loki thanked his brother and took a sip from the drink before putting it back on the table. You all chatted about stuff while they drank a little too much and especially Thor was clearly very drunk.

"I'll go ask my mother something, excuse me for a few minutes." Loki smiled and you nodded. Right when he left Sif decided to use the bathroom and left too. You were now alone with a drunk Thor, which was never good.

"You look so beautiful tonight y/n!" Thor shouted, there was loud music but his voice was still a little bit too high.

"Thanks Thor, you've already said that before." you sighed and took a sip from your untouched drink, regretting it instantly.

"I wish you were my date, i just said yes to Sif so she wouldn't feel bad. I'd love to come with you." Thor smirked and you nodded hoping he would shut up or Loki and Sif would return.

"You know, i actually wanted to ask something-"

"Hey, we're back!" Sif smiled interrupting Thor's words, thankfully. Loki sat back next to you, your thighs so close it was basically like they were glued together. You wouldn't care about it at all normally but you did now.

"Would you like to dance?" Loki asked like he knew you wanted to get away from there for a while and you nodded.

"Yes, sure." He held your hand and walked to the empty space that was left for dancing with you. Thor and Sif got up too but you walked a little more to be away from them.

"Is everything okay?" Loki asked with concern in his voice.

"Yeah, don't worry. I just wanted to be more alone." you smiled and he returned it. He put his hands on your waist and you connected yours behind his neck.

"Are you having fun, you seem a little off."

"I am now." you smiled and he looked away trying to hide his blush, which didn't really work. You just wanted to stand on your tiptoes and kiss him but you wanted to talk to him in a more private place before doing that so you just swayed slowly with the rhythm of the song that was playing.

You put your head on his chest and he tightened his grip on your waist a little. You saw Frigga smiling at you and smiled shyly. You didn't realise your mother approaching you until she called your name.

"y/n, what are you doing?"

"Uh, dancing?" you furrowed your eyebrows in a confused way.

"I can see that, why are you with Loki?" You hated when she acted like this.

"I didn't know i was supposed to ask you who i was going to dance with." you raised your voice a little bit and Loki pressed his hand on your back trying to calm you down.

"I can't believe you." she shook his head and left to do Odin knows what.

"Are you okay?" Loki lifted your chin up and looked into your eyes.

"Yes, sorry. I hate it when she says stuff like that, she's always trying to control me and everything about my life." you sighed.

"Do you want to leave? We can go to my room if you want to. Or just the garden." he suggested and you nodded.

"Your room's fine." He held your hand and you walked to his room trying not to see anyone else on your way and surprisingly succeeding. He closed the door and you sat on the edge of his bed.

"Do you want something?"

"No, i'm okay." you smiled and he sat down next to you. You laid down and sighed, annoyed with your mother.

"She keeps telling me what to do in every second of my life like it's her own and not mine. And then my father starts saying stuff like 'listen to your mother, she knows what's best for you' What if i don't want the best? What if i just want to do whatever i want?" you closed your eyes trying to stop the tears that were forming on your eyes from spilling.

"I'm sorry about it but please try not to think too much about it. It'll only make you feel worse and you don't deserve that." he put his hand on yours and you smiled, your eyes still closed.

"Do you remember when you used to show me the new magic tricks your mother had taught you whenever i was sad when we were little?" you chuckled at the thought.

"Yeah, do you want me to show you some?" You nodded your head and opened your eyes. He laid down next to you and made a move with his hand which made butterflies appear in his palm. You lifted your hand to touch them but they disappeared as soon as your fingers touched his palm.

"Can i hug you?"

"Of course." he nodded.

"Promise you won't disappear too?" you joked and he smiled.

"Never, i promise." you snuggled closer to his body and put your head on his chest like you did while you were dancing. His hand softly rubbed your back making you feel even safer in his arms. You wanted to stay like that forever.

"y/n?" he whispered after a while and smiled when he realised you fell asleep in his embrace.

"Good night love." he kissed your forehead and closed his eyes to sleep too. He wanted to tell you how he truly felt but i guess that had to wait for tomorrow now. He would have woke you up and told it if he knew what was going to happen the next morning...
