3. What’s something you learned about yourself as a writer?

well I guess I theoretically already knew this but I further learned how much I loveee writing chaptered stories. Every time I write a chaptered story and get to spend so much time with the characters I'm like "ugh!! why don't I write more of these!!" and the answer is just that they take so much time but they're soo much fun for me :)

12. What fic was the most difficult to write? Did you finish it?

there were a couple fics for me that were really hard and the answer is No, I did not finish them and I am working on them right now to hopefully post them this year instead of last. Of the fics that I actually posted, my 70s AU Honeysuckle was the most difficult but that was because I had someone proof read it and they pretty blatantly told me it sucked dfghjk so I had a really hard time getting out of my head enough to edit it and share it because of how insecure I was about the fic <3 but that one I did finish !! and I did end up posting !! and I'm still <3 insecure about it <3 but that's life lol

19. Share your favorite opening line

OOO FUN QUESTION !! I actually worked pretty hard this year on having good opening lines so I really like all of them :) I learned some really great advice about how all opening lines should have "curiosity + clarity." which sounds contradicting but, through an opening line, you should give your reader something they can hold onto and something they can be curious about. and one of the opening lines I like the most that does that is the opening of John Dough:

The deadline for the book is in three months and Luke is still a virgin.

the reason is bc now the reader has the clarity of "ok there's a deadline for a book" and you also get the clarity of the character of Luke and also that he's a virgin lol but THEN you have the curiosity of "okay so how do these two things coincide??" and I think that's fun :)

23. Share the final version of a sentence or paragraph you struggled with. What about it was challenging? Are you happy with how it turned out?

this is a pretty hard question because I don't really think about my writing like that?? like in such small details. I more Struggle with overall scenes not so much line-by-line details. and most of the Tiny Paragraph-level things that I struggle w/ are smut related but I don't want to go into detail about that bc I don't think people would be super comfortable with that haha. I think I'll say that I really struggled w/ the ending of my chaptered fic because, y'know, this monster is 220k, how are you supposed to wrap that all up?? so here's the final paragraph of the fic:

He thinks of every piece of their lives they stitched into each other, that they gave over and won’t ever give back, that they hold onto just for the sake of keeping. Every piece of Ashton that was built from a scorching small-town sun shining on soft skin until it burned that he’s slowly given over to Calum, piece by piece, that Calum has given right back, parts of themselves they traded like trinkets and kind words. Every bit of him that he chose to let bloom into someone new in Calum’s palms like a Magnolia out of Mississippi mud.

and to be totally honest I do think it's a little too Overstated so if I went back and rewrote it, I'd make it a little more subtle sdfghj I'd probably cut these sentences down a bit and cool it w/ all the alliteration. you can DEF tell I was in a poetry class at the time.

There are a bunch of reasons why I like Jean simply from a character design standpoint, but in addition to him hitting multiple buttons for me at once he’s also just interesting because of his significance in-game. Even with the few times he appears and interacts with Harry and others, there’s still so much dense info doled out from him- not just about Harry’s past, but also Jean himself and their relationship.

One of the very base readings of Jean is that he’s simply an asshole. And, like, yeah he is (that’s what’s so fun about him, haha). But that impression also becomes heightened by Harry’s lack of knowledge about why Jean is mad at him. Or who Jean even is to him. So, from the player’s perspective, we also lack that knowledge and have to come to our own conclusions about Jean’s character and who he is to Harry through reading between the lines and picking up the clues the game sprinkles into their interactions and what few memories of Harry’s past we get.

What the game ends up showing us are a couple of important things: Regardless of how Harry is played, his past self was a drunk, an addict, erratic and violent. It may only have gotten really bad in the year leading up to the case in Martinaise, but this is alluded to by Harry’s emerging memories, his ledger and fellow police officers. It’s an undeniable fact that past!Harry had become an awful person.

Jean is mad at Harry and doesn’t believe he’s lost his memory, because as his partner- and likely the closest person in Harry’s life by the time right before the game begins- he's watched Harry’s self destruction and tried to help him as well as picked up after him for all this time. This is not the anger of someone who hates Harry. It’s the anger of someone who deeply cares for him and who has been let down over and over again, both on a personal and professional level.

I see this especially in the ways Jean repeatedly claims that Harry is drunk, no matter whether Harry has stayed sober in Martinaise or not. He’s seen the attempts at sobriety before and has clearly been disappointed too many times to believe it’s going to last.

Another important aspect is that despite Harry’s seeming inability to understand why Jean is so mad at him, both Jean and the game’s text itself pretty much lay it out for us: Harry told Jean (and everyone else from C-wing) to fuck off. As the highest ranking officer on the case and as the leader of the team and Jean’s partner, he essentially took everyone else off the case. Harry was the one to push everyone away.

The implied part are the hurt feelings.

When Jean returns to Martinaise, it’s not with the expectation that Harry has lost his memory. He returns, because he was worried and in a disguise he expected Harry to see through and find funny. A peace offering. A way to make Harry laugh and pick things up where they left off. 

Instead, Jean gets ignored. Considering the falling out they had a few days ago, his first assumption wouldn’t be that Harry has lost his memory, but that Harry is ignoring him deliberately. He’s reluctant to believe Harry’s explanation of having amnesia, because honestly, it sounds too convenient. Like a mean prank Harry is playing on them, to punish them for turning up again.

Just because Judit starts to believe Harry doesn’t mean Jean is willing or able to allow himself to believe him. It sounds ridiculous, for once. Again, a cruel joke in his head is the more probable answer. But also, and this is the part that’s implied again: It’s painful.  If he accepts the fact that Harry has lost his memory, he’ll also have to come to terms with the fact that the person in front of him doesn’t remember him. His partner, his friend, the person Jean cared about and who, despite all his failures, probably still cared about Jean, is gone.

Getting angry at the version of Harry that now only exists in Jean’s head is easier. It’s less painful than being forgotten.

I’m a Helsa shipper and I’ve written fics (one of them hasn’t been updated since 14/02/2020 lol), headcanons, crack AU (there is twilight one sdfghj), incorrect quotes etc... One of the Helsa AUs I love is the genderbent AU. I added Elsa!MC’s relationship with the dorm leaders in some headcanons. I was too excited for Elsa!MC that I focused on MC in this post.

It is not where MC imagined waking up, inside of a place more confined than her room. It is overwhelming and she has no idea how she ended up there. Certainly, it cannot be her mother and father as they wouldn’t do that without telling her... right? Maybe she didn’t realize her powers got out of control while her parents did so they put her more confined place.

All these thoughts are racing in her head, not even hearing the commotion coming outside where she is, only realizes it when a door is opened and she falls from a little high place. When she sees Grimm, she doesn’t believe her eyes first then she remembers the trolls then she sees his magic. It’s similar yet opposite magic of hers, fire magic. She is fascinated by it but she can’t be near another destructive power like hers and also Grimm wants to take her clothes which is something she certainly cannot do! Her gloves especially! 

MC starts running when she notices that she isn’t wearing her gloves, leaving an icy trail behind.

When she is found out, she is dragged down by some suspicious man. She tries to explain that she is too dangerous but he doesn’t listen. She doesn’t want to hurt him accidentally like she did with her sister.

Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know, be the good girl you always have to be; she repeats herself to not freeze the weird bird guy.

When she is pushed in front of the mirror, it says “This one’s soul does not fit Night Raven Collage” then the other magical creature that wanted her clothes wants to take her place. The creature spits fire everywhere and someone yells “Duck!”. 

MC is panicked, suddenly pulling her hands over her face to cover but the blow never hits as she froze the magical creature when she moved her hands.

“I’m sorry, sorry” MC repeats.

She accidentally freezes the ghosts when they are materialized but they phase through the ice.

She panics when fighting the first overblot monster, she would rather make herself an ice castle and live there even if the food and toilet would be problem but Dire sends her in that mission, saying that it will help her open up. Though she can swear that she heard him mutter “testing her abilities.”

After the first overblot fight, MC gains a new perspective of her powers, protecting instead of destroying.

MC asks if she can attend the classes online like she did in her world because she doesn’t want to be around people but her proposal is refused. Dire assures her that the teachers and the classes would help her to return home while learn about controlling her powers. She agrees, has to agree but she still prefers online learning. She hears that another person in the school wants it so she decides to meet him so they can maybe convince Dire for online classes. Idia agrees but neither were able to convince Dire.

MC gains confidence after learning about the magic, fighting overblots and gaining friends.

She doesn’t want to play Magift but she does for her friends. She freezes the ground of rival team in this case Savanaclaw and freezes them up to their hips but they need more as Savanaclaw has better physical abilities and more magic control.

She feels Riddle’s pain as she got subjected to a similar thing for a different reason.

MC also understands Malleus’ loneliness as she was also alone for another reason. Their nightly walk is precious to her and one of the things that helped her to open up.

When she feels confident enough, she signs up for the singing competition of NRC. She writes a song based on her life but adds victorian era royalty so it won’t be exact same as her story.

MC wears confined clothing and makes a small snow hill and a small scale snow storm on stage as a prop. She starts walking on the snow hill and starts singing. “Now they know...” She takes off her gloves. She makes a small ice bridge then an ice castle as she continues to sing then she changes her clothes with magic. “Cold never bothered me anyway,” She says, closing the castle door and leaving the stage.

She wins the competition much to Vil contempt. Now she got in his radar. On the other hand, Azul offers her a job, singing in Mostro Lounge which she accepts and forms a strange bond with Azul, Floyd and Jade.

MC says “Glaciers are rivers of ice” and gets a deadpan expression from Azul and Jade while Floyd laughs “Shrimpy isn’t making sense.” Meanwhile, Azul says “We have seen glaciers every year, they are not rivers of ice.” However, MC ignores them and adds “Water has memory so ice has memory too.” Azul just gives up at that point. He thinks she is using Jade’s mushrooms.

Before she gained self confidence and interacted people more, she wasn’t able to handle Kalim but the new her enjoys spending time with him. She teaches him snow games such as snow ball, ice skating, sliding on the ice...

Leona didn’t care for MC as long as she didn’t use her powers. Cold and he don’t get along. After she gained confidence, she started to play with ice and snow more and dropping the temperature of some places, much to his dread.

MC gets comfortable with herself one day and she feels the calling of the woods. So she follows that calling. 

MC starts living in the forest of NRC instead of Ramshackle despite leaving Grim all alone there, though there are ghosts. She found herself in the woods

Now Azul is certain that she consumes Jade’s strange mushrooms.

Man… if you thought Beel was a big cat… 

Diavolo is a big cat.

Literally. Like, you’re pretty sure he’s a lion or something. He’s fucking HUGE. 

His paws are the size of your head, and when he flops down on you it literally knocks the breath out of your lungs. He probably broke one of your ribs, but you’re only 80% sure. 

If you’re walking side by side and he leans into you, there’s like a 70% chance that you’re gonna get knocked on your ass. For your sake, I hope you have decent balance.

He definitely only lets you, Lucifer, and Barbatos around him while he’s stuck in this form. 

He also really is not aware of his own strength in this form. 

Everyone realized that when you and Lucifer showed up to the palace and Dia went to love-tackle Lucifer, expecting the demon to catch him like he normally does, but instead ended up tackling his ass to the floor.

Diavolo was way too excited about it.

Lucifer was miffed.

Without his goofy smile or laugh, Dia’s eyes are like. Really fucking intense.

Lowkey… he’s a little bit terrifying.

But.... he’s also baby. 

Give him snuggles. Smush his face. Kiss his big dumb nose. Squish his big toe beans. Literally just throw yourself on top of him and snuggle him like a body pillow.

He LOVES IT.

Lucifer is horrified. Probably considers ending your life right then and there.

Barb thinks it’s fucking hilarious.

(It’s not that Dia necessarily Enjoys the experience of being turned into a cat -- he’s just Very sure that Lucifer is going to literally devote his life to fixing this, so he figures he might as well try to have a good time while it lasts.)

Barbatos

...He’s very chill but is also experiencing the BIGGEST existential crisis because he doesn’t fucking have hands to do anything. 

Listen, he’s not opposed to taking breaks. He enjoys relaxing too. But there’s so much shit that needs to be done and he can’t do any of it and it’s driving him up the wall.

Not that you would ever know, though. He’s very calm, even if he’s screeching on the inside.

So it’s basically canon that Barbatos helps Diavolo manage his time and keeps him from slacking off on his princely duties he’s literally a babysitter 

But like.

Come on. 

Diavolo is not gonna listen to a cat.

Diavolo gets up to so much mischief during the time that Barb is a cat, and since the prince is so busy being The Worst™, cat-Barb ends up spending most of his time with you.

Lowkey it’s weird as shit having a cat supervise you.

He’s sitting deathly still on the counter, spine ramrod straight, tail wrapped around his legs, eyes wide and all-seeing -- just Staring at you while you cook. 

You’re pretty sure he’s judging you. 

He’s actually reliving the trauma of Asmo finding him in all of his feline-glory and abducting him to play dress up.

(Cat-Barb is the least likely to bite or hiss at anyone, and he probably won’t throw a tantrum over being turned into a cat. Definitely wouldn’t mind sitting in your lap for some snuggles.)

(Is Very relieved when he’s finally turned back into a demon, though. Never wants to experience that again and is Not opposed to punishing whoever cursed him.)

Simeon

Don’t tell Asmo, because he’ll probably cry kick your ass, but Simeon is the prettiest as a cat. 

He doesn’t Totally mind being turned into one, either. If anything, this will make for interesting writing-experience. 

He’s way too nice as a cat. You don’t see his claws at all, ever. If he gets stuck in an unfavorable situation (cough cough, Satan trying to mother him) he’s more likely to run off than he is to put up a fight

He’s very graceful and quiet. 

Purrs when you pick him up, because he once heard that cat purrs are healing to humans. He doesn’t know if that’s actually true or not, but he does it anyways. 

He feels the safest with you, and definitely doesn’t mind when you scratch him behind the ears or hug him like a stuffed animal.

He won't just flop into your lap like some of the others -- most likely he’ll just kinda like. Weirdly lean against you. It’s cute though!

Honestly he’s gonna be content to just sit with you while you do your own thing. Maybe watch a movie or listen to some music with him, and he’ll be a-okay with it.

But.

If you give him catnip. 

he will literally just lay on his back on his floor for HOURS and knock the fuck out.

(Why do you even have catnip? I dunno, you tell me)

You assume that he’s dreaming about the celestial realm. Or TSL. or like. The secrets of the universe.

You can literally move his body however you want -- stretch his leggies, open his mouth, flip him over, pick him up --literally Anything-- and he just Will Not wake up.

Lowkey you think you might have killed him

When he Does finally return to the land of the living, he’s just gonna wanna snuggle u. 

But also turn him back into an angel Now, this has been a (mostly) relaxing experience but he’s ready to go back to normal now, thank u sdfghj

Luke

He is,,, the littlest baby kitten ever. Save him, dear god, before any of the brothers find him

Don’t put him in your pockets or anything tho, he’ll be Very upset if you do. He just wants to sit on your shoulder and scream at the world with unbridled fury.

He’s a bumper car kitten. His lil tail sticks straight up and he has a lil round tumby :((

Apparently, ferality also applies to those who are turned into kittens.

Basically, he still has the attitude of a chihuahua. 

Hissing, spitting, swatting--his instincts to just smack the shit out of everything and anything are Always operating at 100%. he’s a little firecracker. 

Does that thing where cats will hold something and kick the shit out of it with their back paws.

He’s very feisty. 

It isn’t a big deal, at least until Mammon makes fun of him and kitten-Luke LAUNCHES off your shoulder at him, like a little furball-missile of claws and teeth.

(Mammon just kinda catches him by the scruff and hands him back to you--but he does leave him alone after that lol)

His ears are basically always flat on his head, because he’s constantly Very upset with this whole situation and doesn’t want ANYBODY coming near him that isn’t you, Simeon, or maybe Solomon. He prefers you and Simeon, though.

He Might let Beel near him. Maybe. 

(If he promises not to eat him.)

kitten-Luke is the most likely to knead blankets and pillows (and also probably your leg). He has no fucking clue why he’s doing it, but he can’t stop.

I hope you’re prepared for joint parental custody with Simeon, because that’s what’s going to happen sdfghjklkg

Solomon

He’s very calm. It’s kind of unsettling. 

Will just sit on tables, watching everyone and everything in the room while his fluffy tail occasionally flicks around.

You can practically see the gears churning away in his mind while he observes. 

Will occasionally lift a single paw in the air, like he’s going to move or wants to say something, but then he will just sloooowly lower it again. Then just keeps staring.

He is the most likely to just wander off on his own. He just randomly vanishes, which is a Wee bit worrying, cause, y’know. He’s still shady.

You really don’t see much of him during his time as a cat. You have no idea where he’s going or what he’s up to, but he does occasionally bring you presents from his travels.

Even as a cat, he has the good sense to not bring you dead things. But you are a little concerned when he brings you a spell jar with glowing blue liquid in it. 

Like, what the fuck? Did he make it himself with his little cat paws?

Even after turning back into a human, he refuses to tell you how he got it. 

You keep it anyways.

Probably figures out how to talk with his normal voice, and scares the absolute shit out of you the first time he says something.

After he’s had his fun, he figures out himself how to turn back into a human and has you assist him with the process.

(Partially because he wants to study you, partially just because he likes you.)

So what’s the basic run down on Gil Geller? Their backstory and abilities, personality?

oOOO Okay so, with my oc's I have everything fleshed out in my head, but then I sturggle to wrote about them without devolving into rambles so bear with me buds asdfg TW: there's gonna be some mention of injury, medical malpractice and bad parenting, and since I might ramble i'll throw this under a read more sdfghj

Gil has grown up in NYC, and never really left it except for a few occassions. To see their grandparents and for a school competition, specifically for Tumbling gymnastics. They grew up with two other siblings as the middle child, and kinda the overlooked one. Nowadays, they have a much much better relationship with their little sister Ariel and big brother Dan (as well as being the godparents to Ariel's son, Stevie) but back in the day it was rougher, since their mum seemed set on pitting them against each other. Her excuse was to make them more 'competitive' and with their dad out the picture, (leaving when Ariel was a baby), she only seemed to push all three kids to 'achieve' more. Gil's.. more or less severed their ties to their mum, in the present day, and the only sibling in touch with her currently is Ariel. Gil's relationship with their mum spiraled further when they had a really bad slip during one of their competitions, and they really fucked their back up. Their mum refused to visit them in hospital, and Gil had to be told through Dan that she couldn't come by because she was so 'embarrassed' at Gil's performance. As soon as Gil could leave home, they did, packing a few of their bits and spending time backpacking about. They eventually fell into a medical scam, desperate to get their back fixed up, which left them with a tail like mechanism fused to their spine. They thought they were just,, getting a new back but now they have a tail now, they guess. They supposed that's what happens when you talk to a shadey company about trying out some new tech for free. Gil was.. meant to stick around to show off the new technology, fight on behalf of some mysterious gang they didn't care about, and... they pretty much took off with their new spine, tail and generally a tougher body. They still get a lot of back pain though, which they think is bullshit. In terms of their abilities, they've always been athletic and flexible, and their tail has more or less helped to extend that. There's some tech they stole from the company that experimented on them (it def won't bite them in the ass, doing that'), including some heatseeking goggles, and gloves that help them scale walls a bit easier. They couldn't tell you what they were gonna be for, really, because they didnt't care to stick around and find out. For a looonnnggg time, their alias was for self gain. Throw on a shitty costume to hide most of their appearance, let the tail be visible and go rob a jewlery store because rents due in a week. Though, it wasn't kept a secret from the people who matter. Dan and Ariel.. know a good chunk of what's happened. Gil couldn't bear to not tell them, and be honest. The three promised to be more open and honest after they sat down and began to work through what their mum had done to their relationships to each other, and Gil sure as hell wasn't gonna break that. Gil also,, had an idea that people could come after tham, after what they've done. If they're staying in their siblings and nephews life, they're gonna make sure they're safe by telling them things could get dicey. Gil was pretty quiet, until their accident. After that, they kind of didn't care for a while? They felt like they'd lost everything, and couldn't bring themselves to care about a lot for a long time. A lot of that care,, actually came back when Stevie was born. They adore their nephew, and when they held him for the first time, they knew they were done for. Gil has been,, pretty much going with the flow, and is pretty easy going. After how tight of a hold their mum had on them for years, they just want to enjoy life to it's fullest. A part of this is why when they got an apartment, and it just had a goat hanging out in there, they just,, adopted it. Then bought a feret too. their apartment stinks, but they pay rent so.. Plus, Haymitch the goat and Piper the feret look very polite, so. They fell into a few heroic things by pure accident. They weren't going to help keep crime down, given how they were a thief but.. they couldn't bring themselves to just

let people get *hurt* really. Gil doesn't really try to think about their moral compass too much, mostly just working on instinct. If you're an asshole to them, and then you get mugged while they're around, they are petty enough to just walk away. goD i'm gonna wrap it up bc i'm tired and rambling but that's a uhhh kinda run down on Gil Geller aa?? I usually call Sturm by his name when we hang around in the Factory, especially when Heisenberg is around as that bastard is absolutely capable of teasing and/or making fun of me for the rest of my life if he ever hears what I call my zombae when we're together in private.

When we do happen to spend some time alone instead, I allow myself to call him something a little more, uhmm, you know..,., cute I guess??? Sorry I'm still not used to this stuff asdlkjhg 🙈. Anyway.

The pet names I use the most are meu ursuleț mecanic which is Romanian for "my little mechanical teddy bear" and mein schmuseweiche Kuschelkissen meaning "my snuggly soft cuddle pillow" in German. Yes I know, I'm aw a r e, please don't say anything, don't even look at me I wiLL B I TE istg h hhHhh hhhHh hH

Also, if y'all're wondering about the double language, that's simply because I don't know exactly what Sturm's mother tongue is, but by now I think that the tone of voice matters more than the rest... it's like talking to a puppy basically (affectionate) sdfghj

Basically, I go around saying "Wo ist mein süßes Welpchen?" (Where is my cuddly soft puppy?) or "Cine este scumpul meu ursuleț?" (Who is my sweet little bear?) and he just. Runs straight into my arms no matter where he is. Like, he will burst out the fucking walls before I can even finish, revving his engine as to say "I am!! I'm your snuggly teddy bear uwu".

Cut to me doubled over on the floor clutching my chest because I can't handle all this cuteness sdfgh

And ofc, in return, he calls me this <3c

PRE-RELATIONSHIP — Liona .

How did they first meet? Siona was locked in a crumbling temple under the deserts sands and best girl Nova found her! And then Link and Gan cornered them like 10 minutes after they escaped.

What was their first impression of each other? For like 5 min Link thought she was actually tricking them that she wasn’t an evil mage, and then she passed out, and he was like “ok maybe not.” Siona’s first impression was like 2 hours later when she woke back up and she thought he was really nice!

Did any of their friends or family want them to get together? Link’s fam really did not! But Siona’s only family is Nova and she did. 

Who felt romantic feelings first? Uhhhh... I think technically Siona did, but only because she thought meeting a prince like that is really romantic and was probably just projecting that ideal on him a little bit. But either way they’re both idiots smitten within 24 hours so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Did either of them try to resist their feelings? Siona does, a few times. She does because she has to go home, she does because she thinks she has to return to the Twilight Realm alone, and she does because she doesn’t think the way her story is playing out that she’ll be allowed to stay with Link. I think Link probably did for like one week and then decided it’s not worth it to try resisting people you care deeply about. 

If you had told one of them that the other would be their soulmate, what would they think? asdfghjhgfd this one’s so hard UHHHHHH i think Link would think that’s pretty fuckin swell and makes sense if it goes hand in hand with finding a lost princess in the desert, and i think Siona would say that’s not a thing but she’d be super jazzed bc she’s an idiot romantic too. 

GENERAL — Cullida .

Who initiated the relationship, and how did it go? It’d ultimately be left up to Cullen, I think. I think Cressida wouldn’t have been afraid to tell him she was waiting on him to tell her when he was ready, but I don’t think she would have ever pushed it after that. So it was probably Cullen, and it was probably right after her dumb ass almost died after Haven. Went great, though, even if she was groggy and turned around. Cressida would have probably told him it was about time LOL

Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like? As official as you can get when you’re in the Inquisition, I guess. I don’t even know if they count things as dates? Just nice outings with each other away from their jobs and duties. More than likely it was a nice trip to a lake to sit and chat and have a picnic and not worry about busy places and other people. 

What was their first kiss like? Their technical first kiss is in the alternate reality nightmare with Dorian, and Cressida tried kissing a red lyrium-corrupted Cullen to get through to him. For her, that was a first, but it was awful, and not even in their reality, so it doesnt really count. Their actual first kiss was in Haven right before she ran off to help Vesta, bc I think they were both pretty sure they were just doing to die there LOL. 

Were they each other’s first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)? Cressida is Cullen’s first-pretty-much-everything. I guess technically Cullen is Cressida’s first (and only) husband, which she’s pretty glad about. 

What’s their height difference? Age difference? Cullen’s about a foot taller than Cressida, and nine years her senior. 

What’s their relationship with each other’s families? Cressida’s family is... almost totally horrible. Her dad is dead, so no relation for Cullen there, and her mother is a monster of a woman who abused the hell out of her sister. Vesta is awkward with Cullen but I think she’s grown to like him over time. (Not enough to tell him, but enough to be supportive I think LOL). They’re cordial enough and can be in a room alone, even if they don’t talk a lot.  Cullen’s family is so many sisters and a brother, and they all love Cressida. Cressida was panicked to meet them; she doesn’t panic meeting anyone, but she was really worried they wouldn’t like her bc she doesn’t think she, as a genuine person, is a likable person. She was also worried they’d think she was too pompous and shallow because she just doesn’t do field work. But they really like her bc she’s earnest and forthright and tries, even if she’s awful at menial field tasks. And they joke she’s too pretty for Cullen, so that’s always a plus. 

Who takes the lead in social situations? Cressida. Hands down. It’s what she’s good at, it’s what she lives for, and it probably annoys some people that she has to open her mouth, but she commands a situation very well and in her mind, that’s how it should be. Cullen’s p fine w that though bc he doesn’t love social situations and he’d rather do his own job and be left alone.

Who gets jealous easier? Uhhh, probably Cullen. Cress doesn’t make that easy for him bc she’s flirty and commanding and winds people around her fingers to get her way. I think there’s been a few times early on where he wasn’t even sure she genuinely liked him or not bc she can pay fake attention and admiration so convincingly even to people she doesn’t like. Cressida’s also... like, so obnoxiously confident in her own outward personality but also so incredibly convinced by how much Cullen loves her (once she knows) that I don’t think she ever worries about him vying after someone else. (Although, she did get pretty upset and tilted with the Warden Surana hanging around since she knows about that LMAO.) 

LOVE — McJunk .

Who said “I love you” first? Jesse. He said it a few times. Jun-ki’s kinda mean, though; I’m pretty sure she told him no he doesn’t a few times? Idk, he’s too nice for this bitch.

What are their primary love languages? Jesse’s is pet names and touch both. He’s not really shy so he can express it in a lot of ways. Jun’s is small gestures, like sitting with someone while they’re struggling. I guess her other one is also literally fighting people for him even tho he definitely probably did not ask LOL. 

How often do they cuddle/engage in PDA? All the time. All the fucking time. Their coworkers hate them. Think April and Andy, and then multiply. (And Jun literally would spit her gum in this man’s mouth just to annoy other people.) 

What are their favorite things to do together? They do... so much together uhhhh sdfghj idk, I know Jun likes doing most things with Jesse around now. Movie nights, pizza dates, annoying PDA, drinking games, weird places to fuck... they’re a little inseparable. I think the only thing Jun doesn’t like to do with Jesse around is upgrade sessions with Angela because she doesn’t want to be seen all broken up, and training segments because she doesn’t want to be responsible for him getting hurt. 

Who’s better at comforting the other? Jesse. Jun’s never been good at it. He says what he thinks she needs to hear without impressing on her a bunch of psychology she never said she had. He’s just good at offering her something to relate to and a shoulder to lean on. Jun’s not very good with words, though, so she’s not very good at or sure how to offer comfort when someone needs it, especially Jesse. But she just says she’ll hang around and if they fight about it she just says to shut up and deal with it. He’s usually better once he vents.

Who’s more protective? BIG DEBATABLE. I think it’s pretty... even. I think either of them will fight as hard as they can for the other, though I think Jun may be the only one more likely to throw herself into actual harm’s way, and that’s just because she’s definitely the more reckless of the two. 

Do they prefer verbal or physical affection? Jesse’s a more verbal person but I think physical affection and affirmation is where they’ve connected. No one has to say anything, he just does, but it’s just the cherry to the rest of it and physical communication and affection is more than enough for both of them.

What kind of nicknames do they call each other? Yikes. Uhhhhh, Jesse’s partial to: darlin’, sweetie, sweet pea, sweet bean, juniper berry, junnie b jones, jun-bug, and the list goes onnn.  Jun’s partial to cowboy and (affectionately) dumbass. 

DOMESTIC LIFE — Fuujiro .

If they get married, who proposes? Probably Shinjiro, and it was probably something stupid and weird at the grocery store. 

What’s the wedding like? Who attends? Small, probably at a park or something, but all of their friends. They don’t have a lot, but that’s what makes it nice. I think they’d be more interested in spending money on travelling afterwards than trying to make a big deal out of a celebration.

How many kids do they have, if any? What are they like? I don’t think they have any kids. I don’t think Fuu has any interest in bringing a kid into the world bc of the shit she’s gone through on her end; there’s no innate part of her that thinks she needs to have a kid to raise them better just to make up for how alone and neglected she was as a child. If they wound up with any kids, it’d probably be some circumstantial adoption of a wayward orphan they kept coming, honestly? A mentorship or personal attachment just kind of developing, really. Like Denzel LMAO. That’s the only thing I could see happening really asdfgh.

Do they have any pets? THEY HAVE KOROMARU. Otherwise, I think they just put food and shelter boxes out for their neighbourhood cats. Shinjiro probably lets them in a lot. 

Who’s the stricter parent? Shinjiro, hands down. He was the stricter parent when he was a teenager. Fuu is/ would be the parent who is also being scolded.

Who kills the bugs in the house? Shinjiro kills them and Fuu takes them outside. Shinjiro just doesn’t think bugs belong in the house, and Fuu thinks killing them is bad luck. If he kills them before she gets to take them outside, they probably “fight” about it, but it’s not a divisive convo that’ll sour the day.  

How do they celebrate holidays? Shinjiro’s not really a holiday person and Fuu’s really busy, but I know she thinks they’re worth doing. So everything’s probably pretty quiet and half-decourated for. Holidays with events to go to that they don’t have to prepare for, like festivals, Fuu definitely nags to attend. Things like Christmas, I think they just plan on nice dinners and quiet evenings. 

Who’s more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning? Ooh, uhhhhh asdfg that’s hard. Probably Shinjiro? I don’t think he tries often, but he is the one more likely to sleep late. I guess it’d be circumstantial, in a lot of ways. Like if he wasn’t sleeping a lot lately, Fuu would sleep late to try and keep him around. If Fuu’s overworking, Shinjiro would try to bait her back. But otherwise, it’s probably Shinjiro, since she’s usually up early because she wants to run early.

Who’s the better cook? Shinjiro, hands down. Fuu’s okay at it; if she has to make dinner, she’s happy to do it and it’d be fine food, it just wouldn’t be anything exciting or special. She understands basic seasoning laws and how to use a rice cooker. Shinjiro’s the one who’s anal-retentive about produce quality, technique, prepwork, etc. He’s the one who literally watches home cooking network and considers buying a separate pasta cooker, after all. It’s one of the few things he’s really passionate about, and he’s always emphasized how important a good meal and diet are to health with the idiots he hangs around.

 omg i got the feel that is was like, absolutely plan z just from how its not a timed ending and how the patients, residents feel collected more than happenstance like two dads (one with a common interest) who care about their kids in a subjective, clumsy way but much better than his own dad and like children who are like I Love To Yell And Break Rules and also my name is like flower teeth, like he was building a perfect world, like the way nat’s line at the starts like you got here too?? made it sound like you were snatched off the highway or smthing fgh, like people go there willingly but how much is that and how much was it him finding people somehow? like omg did he develop his cork-board before getting everyone or only after they started to interact with each other? people connected to each other are less likely to leave, questions,,,

but OMG i completely agree with that! i think that falls in live with the cult vibe they were going for like a pg13 suicide murder thing, he does!! even though the windows got dont punch signs hes like, prepare for it and omg!! also like the shift in his speech like, he accepts hes the villain and is ready to be defeated by calling You the protag in that moment,,so either way you Do help him, imo its like this utopia falls apart, he’s vaguely aware that what hes doing is,,wild,,and it like just ready for it to be over? im thinkin about the way his speaking style changes in that moment from like his fun to like, just normal flat talking

i def think that falls in with the cult aesthetic like heaven’s gate stuff where nothing was Really planed until stuff fell apart--OH YOURE RIGHT like, he could at any time be like YOINK but never does until like there’s nothing left but to do that to salvage what remains, like thats true! how much is plot intention and how much was just like it being an experimental art focused Game with a small team and stuff, but the lack of any real deadline when the games mechanics are timed based feeels like something, that i want to connect together! tbh i was legit surprised there wasnt a cut off point! like you could play the last day into infinity or just push even getting to that point off? OMG NO i love superjail and im like FLOORED OVER NOT having thought about it while i was watching and now im like omg why wasnt it?? (cause i kept thinking about beyond the black rainbow (which i suuuper recommend if you havnt seen it, tho its terribly heavy, its like smile for me,,,but evil)and how the day loading screen was petscopy) you’re super right its like, very the same aesthetic, a lot of like, the og design aesthetic before habit became green too, what with the background even the final design is kinda reminiscent and like, habit’s Deep publicly accessible on the roof top Lore, the habitat is def like an extension of that, himself with his worth tied into it, 

omg i feel like the biggest in game support for that is like like workers like, none of them have to stay there after they quit or want to quit but are around out of like, emotional ties? fear? theyre not really residents but feel controlled and obliged to stay there, i mean! i guess no one really does, you really just spend the game convincing people to leave just, put on your glasses and go, on god this is no joke sdfghj, everyone knows the flower delivery person? so they’ve must have been around long enough not as a patient to be like this,,,is wack? omg character speculation

but no yeah i totally feel that! like with the psas, curfew and the personal posters, like this is His habitat and he’s just like, a disembodied presence making sure everyone stays put, cause one way or another he needs them
