It follows all of the specified traditional 'young people in a horror film' tropes and is mostly ridiculous. Though I am not sure why the films both open with a focus on a woman's breasts."

Jin wasn't usually one for small talk, but considering just how long this drive would be until they got to the home of their current suspect, he'd be willing to partake in just a bit of it.

"You're daughter's name was...Seina, right?" Or was it Sera? He was always so forgetful with names...  

The drive was far from solemn. There’s no dark curtain hanging over the pair as the traffic ridden straights of downtown Tokyo slowly yield their way for progress. Wylan for better or worse is content in his own world for the moment. A dangerous place to be sure, but one would think that this would offer a rare respite to the younger agent. Apparently that wasn’t the case. Snapping back to full focus, viridian eyes find the blond with a raised brow.

“Oh, are you curious? Wondering what it’s like after the knot’s tied?” A small chuckle, moment taken to focus on the road as he makes an awkward right turn. “Things are a little slower, in a lot of ways. Not stagnant but different enough it begs mentioning. Both uh.. I mean like both before and after the wedding, and before and after Seina learned how to not scream at three in the morning. Life’s kinda like eh uh eh uh eh uh.” Wylan says while miming a high amplitude wave with his hand.

“It’s not what I ever expected to go through. There’s thrills but a lot of it is fighting to, like, get back to a normal and when I realized that I was like what the fuck when did I ever try and do that? Turns out sleep schedules and quiet evenings are a lot more cracked up or uh- they’re good. You know what I’m saying? It feels weird being back to work too, after being on leave, but that’s another like… return to normal now!” He laughs outright then, a roll of the eyes while keeping them on the road ahead. Marching forward. Finding all these things. It’s surreal. But he wouldn’t deny he loved every bit of it.

Helped that after all these years he was still completely smitten with Sae Niijima. Having her name as his, Niijima Wylan, was another crazy bonus and appreciation and everything else.

Does your muse like giving compliments?  When they're warranted. Nikolette isn't the kind of person to say something she feels is untrue for the sake of someone's feelings unless she's sucking up or trying to manipulate someone, and she more easily finds things worthy of praise with people in her own social circle/class. Still, she won't hold herself back from compliments or praise often. How easy is it for your muse to say ‘ i love you’? To her fiancé (who has specifically requested that she not say that to him in public, and she just occasionally ignores it), it's extremely easy. With anyone else, it's a bit harder. Niko is a romantic even if her ideas are a little twisted and she's poorly suited to the role she wants to play. She doesn't take a confession of that sort casually, and expects to be confessed to first (this plan will not survive contact with the enemy love interest). After the first time, it may become easier, but for the first time she says it, things have to be perfect. What is one compliment your muse is dying to hear? (also asked by @orderbourne thank you!) This is stretching the limit of "compliment," maybe, but what Nikolette would really like to hear, is that she's being actively chosen by someone who knows the kind of person she is and cares for her anyway. Her primary relationship is an arranged marriage with someone who doesn't seem to like her too much, and who she keeps many things from in an attempt to be more his type or otherwise more likable.

Because of that, her understanding of things is that it's fine, or even expected, to tailor one's persona for their partner, including concealing certain traits or hobbies. She's also used to the idea that while she is the best potential partner for her fiancé (in her opinion), it just as well could have been any girl of her station. Her relationship was decided not due to her traits, but rather due to her family background and her father's influence. Her fiancé didn't choose her, although she's dedicated to making him like her.

For someone, in full knowledge of her (many, many) flaws as well as her eccentricities that defy her intended image as a demure and proper lady, to choose her and love her anyway would be the greatest thing she could hear, even if she's not aware of it yet. At that point, you can have her heart. What is something your muse loves being praised for? Oh, most anything, really. Call her pretty, applaud her fashion sense, praise her noble bearing and manners, compliment her skill with healing magic and the basics of arcane magic. You can even praise her horse if you want, because Lamy is basically her baby and any compliment towards her is a compliment to Niko by proxy. Say anything like these, and you're likely to earn a smile as Nikolette presses her hand against her chest and proclaims that of course she's excellent in all of those things, but you've done well in noticing.

What will really get her, though, is to praise her for things that she keeps more hidden. Compliment her on her swordsmanship and her knowledge of weaponry, fighting styles, and the like, even if they're not ladylike. Praise her piano playing, even if she's only good rather than excellent. These compliments she might brush off a little, but if you push through and ensure she gets the intended meaning, she will be very touched.

So yes, canonically she is fond of both fishing and anything to do with stars. And I think these two things are a big gateway for her because she really does not do much else on her own whims. She can come across as apathetic towards a lot of other things, but she gets noticeably more enthusiastic when she can show her friends the constellations, or spend time by the water. And I think that’s the key here. I think being with friends can help foster a passion for a great many things for her, even if she’s slow to take some things up. This, for example, is what reawakens her desire to learn magic once more. 

Cinnamon’s free time is plentiful. Even though she lives at the clock tower to help her grandfather, in the end, Candy does most of the actual chores. Cinnamon can kind of do what she wants. Which ends up being kind of random. Sometimes she may spend all day doing nothing at home at the clock tower, other days she’s deep in her studies, or reading tomes. And other days she’s just out for a walk for no other reason than it suits her. At night, however, she spends a great deal of time looking up at the sky. She’s very fond of constellations, and she absolutely will give you all the facts about what this constellation means, or when the best time of year is to see this star, etc.

It's hard to explain exactly what Wylan sees when he looks at Jin. A little bit of himself? A little bit of what he could've been? And then there's a sort of... older brother feeling he gets around the other agent.

Sure, almost none of this sentiment is reciprocated (and neither of them completely trust the other outside high-risk situations) but that won't stop Wylan from inviting Jin on zany adventures.

It reminds the mermaid of a time when Mizuki's dad had told her something similar, and well, even if the words are... questionable, her reaction to them is not if the giggle bubbling up or the butterflies fluttering in her stomach was anything to go by.

This is super belated between finishing costume things before the convention and catching up on thread replies after the convention, but I'm glad you enjoy them! I know they exist in separate universes but if there was any overlap, she would be certain that they'd suit each other well.

Even if they could both use some fun, adventure, and excitement in their lives: at the end of the day, she could see them supporting and understanding each other.

Support and understanding that includes a lot of verbal barbs at one another (or more accurately, Eira towards Jin most of the time?), but support and understanding nevertheless.

And besides: she'll be that friend who keeps life fun for them. Check out some haunted places! Travel somewhere new! Try a new hobby! Have even more stories that begin with 'that time we almost died/got arrested/embarrassed ourselves horribly!'

Jin wouldn't let them get arrested right? Right??

In any case, she'd be heartbroken if she didn't get an invitation to the wedding. Royal duties are put on pause to celebrate Jin and Eira, always.

And of course: she'll ask to meet any and all cats. At least Sonia comes bearing toys, treats, and fluffy cat beds so luxurious, they'll wish they came in human sizes. She can and will pamper all of their offspring, animal or otherwise.
