Did anyone know that there is actual official art with Oreshi and Bokushi separately? They're one of the partners for the official art.

Hey! Well, we know that realistically Akashi will have to live with his other self (Bokushi) for probably the rest of his life. Well, I'm wondering what that bokushi-oreshi dynamic would look like in a relationship? How would it affect the relationship? How would Bokushi behave in contrast to Oreshi? Would Bokushi only come out on certain triggers, and if so, what would trigger him to come out? Could you write a headcanon about it or just share your thoughts on it? I would be extremely interested in that.
If you will write this, thank you (in advance)!
A/N: Of course I will grant you your requests! I will write your second request after Basic Instinct Chapter 15. There's a bunch of requests I also want to write that have been waiting for me for some time, so…
-Well first of all, to clarify I have no IRL experience with people who have DID or OSDD or any form of identity disorder. But if my experience with people with personality disorders says anything: it is that now Oreshi has reached a state of healing, Bokushi will only come out when Oreshi has relapsed badly enough in his symptoms, and will only do so in moments when Oreshi is triggered. But for how long Bokushi is in control, that will be the question. There will be times when it's just an hour or two, but there will also be times where he'd be in control for days, if not weeks. -We know that his initial trigger was the pressure to be perfect, and we can safely assume it will remain a trigger because of his father. Any human mistake he makes during periods of stress will be his trigger. He will not allow himself to commit any epic failures. Bad bussiness decision? Bokushi time. Did workload make him act snippy towards his SO who's now avoiding him? Bokushi time. -With Bokushi, a common relationship theme is toxicity. He has Seijuro's worst flaws when it comes to his social skills after all. -Bokushi is a very domineering kind of boyfriend and he does have some yandere traits, I do agree with that side of the fandom. After all, Bokushi was born out of the trauma and grief of losing his mother. Already having lost someone he loves, Bokushi will not let this happen again. -Bokushi is annoyingly clingy towards his SO for that very reason. -As well as that it's why he has stalker issues. He's totally the kind of boyfriend who'd keep ringing his butler to check in on you and if you're not doing anything risky. Who'd install cameras around your neighborhood to monitor if there are any creeps in your area unaware he's being a giant creep himself, etc. -Whilst Oreshi, might do some of the things Bokushi would do, but never to such extreme extend, and he'd always ask for your permission whilst Bokushi simply wouldn't care if you're against his decisions. Because Oreshi takes your opinion seriously, whilst Bokushi believes he knows better then you do. (If you know the Vampire Diaries, I totally see Bokushi being the overprotective boyfriend who wouldn't allow his girlfriend to make decisions like Damon, whereas Oreshi is more like Stefan in that he honors his SO's choices). -If you're his crush instead of his SO, then you're in big trouble. -Because Oreshi is respectfull and keeps his distance. Perhaps he's too socially awkward to think of a good way to confess, but other then that Oreshi is like any other normal boy with a crush. Bokushi on the other hand, not as much. -Bokushi always comes off too strong when interacting with his crush. He believes he is the best after all, that he is absolute. So why wouldn't his crush want to be with him? -Whilst Oreshi disapproves of the way Bokushi approaches you, he does envies Bokushi for his ability to do so easily. Oreshi is more prone to overthinking his attempts to impress you and confess, whereas Bokushi just expects you'll say yes because it's THE Seijuro Akashi asking you out. -If you dare to tell Bokushi you already like someone else, he'll make your crush's life a living hell to prove he is superior to the boy you like. -Bokushi simply cannot stand losing, and losing you wether you're his crush or his actual partner, is something unacceptable to Bokushi. He will win you over, no matter what.

Between Akashi & Furihata, if one of them died, who do you think is more likely to heal from the pain of loss sooner & moves on with his life?
When has Akashi Seijuurou gotten over anything in his fucking life? This rhetorical jest is an oversimplification of one of Akashi's character flaws which is his need for control. This is all to say, simply based on that, Furihata is the more emotionally intelligent of the two, the one more open and accepting to change. I think they both would require years to fully heal but I think Furihata would be the one to move on sooner.
I've tried to keep it short and direct above for those without brainrot but I AM going to go apeshit below the cut
Oh my god oh my god oh my GOD I'm so glad someone wants to hear me talk about THIS, THIS EXACT CONCEPT- ACCEPTING THE LOVE OF THEIR LIVES DEATH FASCINATES ME ENDLESSLY FUCK
Okay for reference there has been 2 fanfics involving this concept that I read when I first got into akafuri and they have HEAVILY influenced my perception of this question:
- The Truth About Reality; which is literally about Furihata not accepting Akashi's death and through mysticism goes to 4/5 different parallel realities to get him back. It's a favorite of mine and I read it once a year. It has themes of sacrifice and second chances which make it so crucial to the thematic elements of akafuri. Read it please
- Through the Air by Maiokoe; I love the first chapter, literally Kuroko Kagami Takao and Midorima come to Akashi while he is at work and inform him that Furihata's flight just crashed. It is so so so good. The way it plays out, Akashi's mounting fear, his resistance, the way his fear turns to anger then to despair- sometimes I cry when I reread it. And the last lines of the chapter---
What was a world without his lover? What was this life without his easy nature and smiles? What was this life without his affection? What was this world without Furihata Kouki? What did this world mean to him? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. What was Akashi Seijuuro without him? He didn’t want to find out.
Those lines have colored my opinion of what Akashi would be like if his husband died so fucking much that it really was eventual that I started my Greek fic where Akashi is Achilles and Furihata is Patroclus. So if you know the Iliad then you know how my fic will play out and exactly where I take a stance on Akashi’s terrible all consuming love.
To talk about the dissolution of happily in love akafuri by the cruel hands of death is to examine how their relationship evolved them and what being torn from their other half would do to them. To be haunted by their after image, to look at their favorite mug, to wear their favorite sweater- who would wear grief better. Who would welcome it, accept its presence. Who would repress it.
Please do not mistake what I'm saying to mean Furihata would move on quickly. Where Furihata is Akashi's light, Akashi is his gravity. He would be adrift and untethered without Akashi. The world would turn upside down. He would feel the expanse of their house, the emptiness of their bed. Furihata would be lost. It would take years to come down back to earth by himself.
Furihata would eventually move out of that house/apartment too full of memories, at the prodding of well meaning friends he would download dating apps, eventually he would go on dates and try his best to not compare them to his late husband because how could a man compare to a god. And then years and years down the line, when his heart only half aches when he sees a hair of red, when he only wears that old ratty sweater on the occasion bad day, he can look up into the sky and smile, thankful for the memories. I think he could even fall in love again, begin a new chapter.
A large chunk of Furihata is lost the day Akashi dies but he grows around the pain and walks on. Accepting the scars, accepting the love and pain, accepting it all.
As I said though, Furihata is Akashi's light. His metric on good and bad. The saving grace that redeemed him and inspired him to become worthy of such love.
Imagine if the sun was stolen from the sky and we were pitched into utter darkness. Until our eyes adjust and we can make out some shapes, you are surrounded in black black. Complete emptiness. Alone more than ever before and for a moment you think it will consume you. That is how Akashi feels for the first year until his eyes adjust to the darkness. He would continue in this shadow life indefinitely, watching everyone else patch themselves together and move on, while he.is.stuck. And he won't admit it and only those brave enough would say it to his face, but he is absolutely wallowing, sulking, in this darkness as self-punishment. that in some twisted sense, this is what he deserves. he digs his feet in, refusing to move. And if out of the corner of his eye a flicker of light dances, he would refuse to follow it. The dark is where he belongs.
He would bury himself in work. He would refuse to move out of their house. Refusing to touch any of the things that Kouki last left them, his toothbrush bone dry in the holder, the book he was reading on his bedside table.
And when his friends compare him to his father- he becomes furious, alight with indignation. He is not cold and cruel like his father had been. "No... you're empty."
It would take him so so long to accept that Furihata would want him to be happy even if its not with him. That he deserves to be happy. Only then would he take tiny half steps out of the cave he buried himself in, the cave that he would have made his grave.
As a side note, I mentioned Furihata falling in love with someone else afterwards... my personal interpretation is that Akashi could not. He would try if only just because he knows Furihata wants him to be happy and knew that Akashi is the most happy when he is in love- but The Akashi heart is a fearsome terrible all consuming thing.
Akashi Seijuurou, is a man who celebrated the anniversary of each milestone of their relationship. Akashi Seijuurou, is a man who is head over heels in love and worships the ground his beloved walks on. Akashi Seijuurou, is a man who calls their partner love- because they are the manifestation of their love. Akashi Seijuurou, is a man who would go to the far corners of the world to see if there was some way to still communicate with their partner if said partner was turned into a worm and would build a terrarium of utmost luxury for said partner and talk to the worm as if it was them, take the worm to see the sun meet the ocean, because they have to hope that their partner still has some consciousness. And if not, then he needs to do that for himself. To fool himself. And once that worm passes, he would be extra compassionate to earthworms because they remind him of them.
The Akashi heart is a blessing to the receiver for there is nothing stronger or purer. The Akashi heart is a curse to the creator if only because they have that one single heart and they are physically unable to take it back.

Summary- Akashi Seijuro, the man with a split personality, meets a person who has no personality. Basically, Dissociative Identity Disorder vs Depersonalization-derealization disorder.
----------
Trauma.
No matter how big or small, it's the one main thing that can lead to personality disorders.
And no matter how dull your eyes looked when he forced you to look up, he knew that there was something behind your irises that resembled what he sees in his own reflection in the mirror.
Akashi Seijuro, the first year student council president, captain of the Rakuzan basketball team, the man feared by everyone in the school including his seniors. It was near impossible to surprise him, he seemed unfazed by everything.
And yet, his heterochromatic eyes were dilated. He stared into your own eyes, which showed no signs of any emotion whatsoever- no fear, no respect, not even surprise when he suddenly shoved your shoulder and forced you to look towards him.
He was tired of how you only responded to his words with a simple "mhm" as you did whatever reasonable job was asked of you. He was annoyed that you didn't show him the same level of respect as everyone else did in your class. And he was frustrated with how you just seemed to not care about his presence.
He needed answers.
And he did get answers, without you having to say anything.
"Tch," he walked away.
He had an urge to talk to you, be around you and find out exactly what lead you to be like this, just so he could feel like there's at least someone out there who would understand him. But he suppressed his urges.
He'd hear Oreshi's voice every once in a while, suggesting Bokushi to open up a bit, but as long as it was Bokushi in control, Akashi Seijurou would never let his pride fall.
"Maybe if I lose, if that ever happens." he'd scoff in reply, as he looked at himself when he washed his face before heading to bed. "If that ever happens..."
The Winter Cup was just around the corner. And as expected, Rakuzan made it to the finals without breaking a sweat. People from their school were there in the stadium, cheering them on throughout the matches, but Akashi noticed that there were also some who stopped showing up after a couple matches.
And he wouldn't have been bothered by it if you weren't one of them. All he wants was acknowledgement from someone like him, and yet here he is, facing off against his former teammates, knowing they wouldn't understand everything that runs through his mind.
Bokushi and Oreshi truly were like two sides of a coin, opposite but cannot live without each other. They were half of a whole of what made Akashi. But that also caused him to be confused about his own feelings. While both seeked attention, Oreshi wanted it to be out of understanding, while Bokushi wanted respect. Prideful was Bokushi but with a considerate Oreshi in the way, Akashi couldn't help but get swayed away often.
In the end, Rakuzan lost to Seirin in the Winter Cup. Bokushi accepted his loss as Oreshi was free to be in control again.
"What happened to your hair?"
Akashi found himself in front of you. He hadn't given it much thought, letting his instincts, his need, drive him this once.
He seemed to have changed a lot. But you on the other hand, seemed the same as ever as you sat there, alone, in the school courtyard, your lunch on your lap. That same, expressionless expression...
"Listen, I just want to talk."
"Oh, is this you letting go of your pride?" you took a bite of your food. "Wow, what happened?"
"Just thought of changing some things up. I hardly doubt that's abnormal."
You just hummed in response and continued staring into the distance. Akashi was feeling nervous. This is the one time he's willing to let go of his pride, so he better utilize it to the fullest. "Do you mind if I join you?"
"Sure, this spots empty anyway."
"What about your friends?"
"They're probably eating together, somewhere. I don't know, and I don't really care. All I want is to look at that bird nest over there."
Akashi followed your finger to the bird nest, where two baby birds sat, cuddling up to a much bigger bird. Then he looked back at you and the way your eyes were glimmering at the sight.
Huh, maybe you do show some emotions. And, if he were being completely honest, then even his eyes were probably glimmering at the sight. It was pretty peaceful after all.
"Say, Akashi-san, do you have an interest in the concept of 'still life'? It may seem boring to some, but it can bring a lot of peace to some others."
"I haven't heard too much about it, but would love to know more. Please do continue, yn."
Most of Akashi's conversations included work. To be able to talk about something so casual was a bit foreign to him, but he certainly didn't mind it. He hadn't realized how easy it was for him to get along with you. Was it because he'd grown used to your unfazed nature towards him and and his position? Was it because he realized that being seen as just another person isn't so bad after all? That he doesn't always need to assert his superiority as he was told to by Bokushi and his father?
Healing is conditional. It takes time and the right people. And maybe, choosing to be here with you might be his first step.
He's not sure whether this is Oreshi's consideration or Bokushi's pride, but he doesn't even want think about it, because right now, he's sure of one thing.
He wants to help you both get through whatever together.

Continutation of my previous post but its just incorrect quotes.
Kise: what's a word that's a mix between angry and sad?
Akashi: malcontented, disgruntled, miserable, desolated
Aomine: smad
Akashi: I left instructions for everyone while I'm gone.
Aomine and Kise: Ours just say “No.”
Akashi: And I want you to apply it to every possible situation.
Mayuzumi: you played me like a fiddle
Bokushi: actually, fiddles are quite difficult to play. I played you like a cheap kazoo
Akashi: Kuroko, please keep an eye on Kise. He's gonna say something to Midorima and get himself punched.
Kuroko: Sure Akashi-kun, I'd love to see Kise get punched.
Akashi: Try again.
Kuroko: I will stop Kise from getting punched.
Akashi: Correct.
Akashi: oh, are you and Kise no longer…
Aomine: smushing booties?
Akashi: …yes that’s exactly how i was going to phrase my sentence, Aomine.
Bokushi talking to Nash: you think you can just bully people, but you can’t. it’s not okay.
Bokushi: i’m the bully around here. ask anyone.
Bokushi: i only feel one emotion, and it’s indifference.
Oreshi: last night you drunk-texted the whole team a bunch of heart emojis.
Bokushi: ...indifferently.
Murasakibara: i really miss these people, the whole team. Aka-chin, Mido-chin…
Murasakibara: …i forget all their other names.
Himuro: *judgemental eyebrow raise*
Midorima: You know archaic Latin?
Akashi: I got bored with classical Latin.
Midorima: You know normal Latin?
Akashi: Yeah someone from my knitting club taught me.
Midorima: YOU HAVE A KNITTING CLUB?
Akashi: You don't know everything about me Midorima. Now do you want a sweater or a scarf?
Momoi: 'You'll never find the body' is such a boring threat. A better threat would be; 'You'll never stop finding the body.'
Akashi, bored: Or just say, 'They'll be finding parts of you for at least four months...and you'll still be alive for three of them.'
Momoi: Now that's a threat!
The rest of the GoM: *horrified silence*
Murasakibara: do you think I could fit fifteen marshmallows in my mouth?
Midorima: ...you are a hazard to society
Aomine: and a coward. do twenty
[Akashi after the GoM do something really stupid but he's running on t-2 seconds of sleep and a cup of tea]
Akashi : I am offended. I am angry. I am very tired. So I am gonna take a nap but when I wake up, oh you are *in* for it.
The GoM:...
Four hours later...
Akashi: How. DARE. You!
Kuroko: remember how furious you got that time when Aomine ended a letter with "thx" instead of "thanks"?
Akashi: why would you bring this up??
Himuro: So,Shuu , tell us everything! Did you call Akashi’s dad first?
Nijimura: I actually did!
*time skip back*
Nijimura, on the phone: Mr Akashj? I’m calling to inform you that I plan to ask your son to marry me. But since it’s 2016 I am NOT asking for your permission since he is not your property. NOR WOULD HE BE MINE IF HE CHOOSES TO SAY YES! He’s a strong independent man and he don’t need no man! That being said I truly hope he says yes. But it’s HIS decision so just BACK OFF!
Hinuro: aww, that was perfect! What did he say?
Nijimura: I have no idea I left a voicemail I’m terrified of him.
[Back at it again with the nijiaka]
Bokushi: Wait you like me?
Mibuchi: Yes
Bokushi: ... for my personality?
Mibuchi: I was surprised too

HIIII CAN I PLS DO A REQUEST
so uh I love Akashi and I've always wondered what if his two personalities were twins? Oreshi (original) named Akashi and Bokushi (2nd persona) named Seijuro? And they had 1 s/o? This can be anything you like, hcs, one shot, I don't mind. Some ideas could be like their dynamic, the relationship between brothers and how s/o handles it, the difference between personalities of the twins and their own relationship with s/o? If you wanted to add a little nsfw you can as well- really anything you want
THANK YOUUU 💖💖

The final bell chimed over the PA system, and the students rumble to their feet to depart for the day.
You stay behind a moment to not have to push through the throng. Carefully packing up your bag as you wait for it to thin out. “[Y/N]!” You look up from your bag after snapping it closed to see Akashi it front of your desk. Bright eyed as ever, despite the grueling day of classes.
“Hello Akashi. I take it you had a good afternoon.”
“Yes,” he confirmed he offered his hand to help you from your seat. “It was a productive afternoon. The student council meeting went as planned, and it looks like the winter carnival will be going on without complication. They all loved your idea for going an American hot chocolate bar.”
“I can’t take all the credit.” You reply with a giggle. “It was just something I saw on Instagram.”
Akashi offered you a soft smile. “Any input is valuable. Especially from you.” You feel yourself blush a little as Akashi released your hand.
“Are you and Sei heading to practice? You don’t want to be late.”
“You can’t be late if you’re in charge.”
The two of you turn around to see Akashi’s double standing in the doorway. Seijuro, looking as lackluster and stone faced about the day as ever. “Also if you’re not going.”
“Not going?” Akashi asked his twin, who walked further into the room. “But we must go. It’s our duty as co-captains to be there for the team and help them practice.”
“For what? So they can strive to fall short of the level we stoop to in order to give them a fighting chance? It’s exhausting to have to pretend for our lesser. And I’m too tired today.” Seijuro laid his head on your shoulder, now that he was standing next to you, staring at his twin who wasn’t necessarily disagreeing with him.
“We should still go….”
“I want to go home with [Y/N].” Seijuro offered as an alternative.
“I….kind of have things to do….”
“Skip it.” He stated. Not asked, stated. In response to your plans.
“Don’t bully [Y/N] into doing what you want.” Akashi told him. Gritting his teeth at the other twin’s gruff attitude. “If they have plans, and don’t want to go with you, then you can’t force them.”
Seijuro stood up to his full height again and looked at you. “Don’t you not want to go with me?” You felt a little pinned under the gaze of those mismatched eyes. But your pause seemed enough of an answer for Seijuro. “Yes. They want to go with me. So we’ll go home, and you run off to practice like a good little boy.”
“Wait!” Akashi exclaimed as the two of you walk past hand in hand. “It’s…not fair that you get [Y/N] all to yourself.”
Seijuro smirked at his mirror image. Then told him, “well, come on,” which was what he wanted in the first place. To be alone with the only two people he liked in the world.
Akashi seemed to swallow his doubts and fall in line on your left; though he still seemed antsy. “Don’t worry,” you assure him as you take his hand in your free one, “I’m sure they’ll be ok without you for one practice.”
Akashi smiled and Seijuro sucked his teeth at your words. “Don’t encourage his soft sentiments for those fools.”
“Yes Ten’no.” You and Akashi chirp together, before laughing at Sei’s expense a little as he led the two of you out of school.

Kouki is living a normal slice-of-life story. He wakes up everyday to go to work, he greets the neighbors, he smiles at the customers, he calms them down, and he goes home and reads his manga. One particular manga, a work he has been following since high school, is about a hero who will stop at nothing to defeat the villain of the arc. It has been 23 story arcs, the hero is still fighting, unwavering, handsome, and devastatingly without a love interest.
One day while going home from work after fighting with a rude customer that got him fired, he was pushed by someone towards the road and met the fate delivered by truck-kun. He woke up in the hero's world, and surprisingly enough, the hero, Oreshi, knows him as one of his beloved characters from a book he adores. He's had crush with the main character for the longest time.
"Me??? Why would you like a character like me? And why would you read a book about my boring life???"
"I love your simple adventures and your genuine heart. If everyone in this world is like you, I wouldn't have to be an exhausted hero."
"You're exhausted? I thought... you fight non-stop for world peace?"
"You have no idea how much I want to live in your world. With you."
Kouki feels for him. By arc 17, Kouki realized how Oreshi's story never had any omake or filler chapter where he lounges around with friends. He's always fighting, and if not, he's alone.
Fuck it. Kouki said to himself. This is just a fictional story anyway. I'm taking Oreshi away from here.
And so the two ran away to the faraway forest and lived in domestic bliss for months. They made a house and lived on farming and trading. The world wondered where their hero was, but for once, Oreshi was happy and contented. He doesn't want these moments to end.
One day, there appeared a mysterious and unknown man. He is fast. He is strong. He is cunning. And he looks exactly like Oreshi. He is the villain of the 24th arc.
He defeated Oreshi easily.
"Just so you know, I planted this average and mediocre boy in this world to serve as your weakness." The villain laughed. "How does it feel to finally lose, and in the hands of a powerless at that?"
"You..." Oreshi seethed towards Kouki, "The two of you planned this???"
"That's not true!" Kouki cried. "I never intended to do that. I just wanted you to stop fighting!"
The villain inserted, "And that rendered him unprepared and without training for months. My, my, I never pegged you to be so useful, you useless commoner." He looked at Oreshi, "Now that my job here is done, I will take the final blow and take this boy you loved so much, since you hate him now."
At the villain's lair, Kouki becomes a prisoner the villain, Bokushi, pokes from time to time. The villain loves teasing him with hurtful words that involves Oreshi, and how he has become his devastating weakness.
Kouki's heart grew darker, his hatred towards Bokushi turned him to think, fine, I will be your weakness as well. And then Oreshi can defeat you
Kouki learned how to use his charms.
And it worked!
Bokushi fell hard.
And he became the villain's weakness.
Oh, and Oreshi is marching towards the villain's lair, ready for revenge against Kouki and Bokushi.
He expected that they would be buddies, Kouki played with him for Bokushi after all, but he never expected the sharp pain upon seeing their bodies intertwined.

This is the first time in his life he ever lost at anything, and he still manages to genuinely smile and think 'i'm happy i met Kuroko so he could defeat me at basketball'.
Because sure, he wanted to lose, already as a child he was tired of winning all the time. And when Bokushi was in control Oreshi hoped one of the Miracles would defeat him. But he still did everything he could to win and he lost anyway. It must hurt a lot but he has no resentment, he doesn't have a meltdown or anything. Even when he loses he loses the right way and he has the best attitude possible, he is so sweet.
Also he is so pretty even when he cries.

I have this HC where on Seijūrō's & Kōki's 1st, 2nd & 3rd dates, the former took the latter to fancy, 5-star restaurants, either at a posh, upscale hotel or just the place itself. But then Kōki learns that Seijūrō never experience what most people had, so on their 4th or 5th date, Kōki initiates it, treating Seijūrō to fast food restaurants, izakayas, ramen shops & best of all: street foods.
!!!! This has "I'll share the best of me, just like you" all over it. Very classic people from 2 different cultures meeting and exchanging, all that is left is to merge and create a new. They could make something together on their 6th or 7th!
I think akashi has had these types of foods before but it's. Few. And sparse. And only a couple of times are they gold in his memory.
There is no doubt in my mind that he was force fed some "street food" by his classmates at the cultural festival in Rakuzan- especially when oreshi came back. "The school body president is coming! Quick get a stick of takoyaki for him to try!" And he is way too nice and conscious of how bokushi might have acted that he can't say no. And. It's decent. But it's overshadowed by the expectant look of 6 girls waiting for his praise. And that happens like 20 more times that day alone.
He definitely heard about the hijinks the rest of gom got into after practice- getting ice pops (and stopping a robbery) or grabbing maji together (kuroko wanted to see who could eat more- aomine or murasakibara- murasakibara lost to their surprise) and akashi laughs at the retellings since he always has a car to catch and lessons to go to after practice. Except one day when akashi asked his dad if he may help midorima study for a semester final coming up (the midorimas have been associates of the akashis for years, he couldn't say no to just one study session if midorima's tutor was "sick") and instead of studying the gom went to maji, insisting akashi try this and that until the only thing akashi remembers being the salt left on his tongue, the smiles of his friends, and the light feeling in his chest.
As Bokushi I imagine the uncrowned kings took him to an izakaya as a victory meal which he explained to his dad as "a necessary upkeep for morale" but oreshi only faintly remembers that as he finds being around a team he doesn't entirely remember stressful. That is until after another victory they ask him if he wants to go out to eat and celebrate- he says yes. And they expect him to order the same thing bokushi always did- except he doesn't. They then redouble their effort in welcoming and embracing akashi to the team.
In this sense, I do truly believe akashi would treasure going out to these hole in the wall - "common food/restaurants" since he is with Furihata and furihata is sharing this with him- for him.

Another one for the ask(I hope you dont mind) 26: What do you think of Akashi's parents and their relationship
omg i don't mind at all. anyone can ask me about akashi anytime and i will respond in an extremely normal way. sorry for being so late.
from this
naturally, i think it's complicated with both parents, which is expected. for his father - i think what i want to say has already been said before but a lot of the burden may be generational, since akashi was born into a wealthy family. he doesn't really get to be a son as much as a bearer of his family's legacy but then it's also his dad's fault for not being a father. i'd think it's complicated for both of them but i don't like dwelling a lot on his dad. it's simple - like every other adult in akashi's life, his father has failed him but the worst part is that his father was the first of many to do so.
i'd say it's very likely that akashi is torn between acknowledging the way his father treated him was terrible and wanting to believe that his father was acting out of his best interests. your parents are generally the first role models you have in your life, they're the first people you believe in to care for you and protect you and keep you safe.
unfortunately, parents are not gods and they're not heroes either and i think akashi had to learn it the hard way by first learning his parents are mortal (after his mother died) and that there's nothing heroic about them (considering the way his father raised him). that's also another reason he split in two - he wants to be his mother's son but he also has to be his father's son to survive in the house. i think in terms of world views and self-perception, that's where oreshi and bokushi differ in particular. oreshi acknowledges that the adults in his life have failed him and that his dad is not much of a dad and no matter how badly he needs his mother, she'll never be here for him the way she was but bokushi desperately wants to deny the circumstances because of his crippling fear of abandonment and aversion to vulnerability - acknowledging his father was terrible to him means acknowledging that he was damaged in any way, which cycles back to his belief that any kind of weakness is unacceptable and he overcompensates by creating a grandiose image. his desire for control also means that he fiercely believes that what happened to him could have been rectified if he'd simply done a better job of being a son.
that's why the conversation in the headspace struck me as genius because oreshi acknowledges that bokushi was born from a place of fear and weakness. bokushi is just a scared little boy who refuses to look his fear in the eyes (quite literally, might i add, with the 'lower your head'), oreshi is the boy who acknowledges that his circumstances were terrible but he can choose not to be defined by them, and the only way to do that is to accept that they've done their damage.
parent-child relationships are very difficult to explain but essentially, akashi loves his dad but not all of the time and even if he loves his dad, he'll never be able to trust him. yes those things are separate.
i don't think there's much to say about his dad. he probably just believes what he thinks is best for his son is irrefutable fact and that it should pass. he was a terrible parent but from my understanding, he wasn't intentionally so. which is unfortunately the case for a lot of abusive dynamics. plus, from what i gather, akashi's parents didn't seem to have a unified parenting approach - his father exercised his will and his mother stood between the two of them to protect akashi as best as she could. maybe between husband and wife, it would have been different because i think akashi's father also crumbled after her death but their doctrine of self-sufficiency and invincibility kept father and son from supporting each other through it, which ultimately made things worse.
akashi was still really young when she passed and i believe he loved her but after her passing, before he'd processed anything, it is possible he could have resented her for not continuing to protect him. simply because his kid brain couldn't understand the permanence of her death. he'd miss her, resent her for going, resent himself for thinking ill of her, feel ashamed, and then overcompensate by working hard to meet his father's wishes and internalise this as "it's just the way it is." (love my characters who are so deeply embedded in their own cycle of grief and shame that separating from it means having to reconstruct their whole identity from the ground-up! no wonder bokushi is terrified and acting out the way he does! i would too!)
at least that's what i think. but what do i know. i don't like thinking about it though. akashi is my son now for all i care
