The term “filler episode” is blatantly misused in fandom spaces and it's really goddamn annoying.

In the book "Manga and Anime Go to Hollywood: The Amazing Rapidly Evolving Relationship Between Hollywood and Japanese Animation, Manga, Television, and Film," by Northrop Davis, Davis explains the that concept of a “filler episode” in animation comes to us from anime adaptations of manga. Anime is frequently produced at a faster rate than manga, which means that anime adaptations of manga often have to come up with their own “filler” stories to slow down the pacing of the main narrative, because the manga isn’t finished yet.

"Filler" does not mean "low-stakes episode that doesn't progress the main plot." Filler does not mean "character moments that you did not like." "Filler" does not mean "anything that isn't breakneck-paced main plot."

It's a specific term and you are misusing it.

I’m getting a feeling that Steven is starting to like Taylor bc he makes fun of her bf and he doesn’t like him so he seems a bit jealous and I’m not really in favor of them being together bc that ship has already sailed. Taylor had feelings for him the summer before and now she doesn’t and she has a bf who seems to make her happy.

I cannot believe that Aunt Julia had the audacity to clean the house out of all the furniture like at least give them time to pack up their things!! They’ve probably now lost some of their important belongings and other things that mean a lot to them like Belly’s Junior Mint plushie.

Btw, I love that Belly chose the giraffe plushie as her prize when she beat Conrad at the Basketball shooting game instead of another Junior Mint polar bear bc even back when Conrad got her the Junior Mint she originally wanted the giraffe so I love that she’s actually choosing things that she wants that don’t have anything to do with Conrad.

I feel like all the delulu Conrad x Belly shippers will see that part in the episode where Belly thinks to herself “Him being so sweet like this reminds me of why I loved him” and think that this means they’ll get back together but she ends up holding hands with Jeremiah on the Tower of Terror so there’s no chance that she and Conrad will get back together. I love that Belly is simply just reminiscing about how she used to love Conrad bc it means that she is (hopefully) ready to move on and start something new with Jeremiah.

I love these three so much???? Seriously, watching their duel against Team 5Ds gets more entertaining with every rewatch. They deserved to have that whole stadium cheering for them, damn it!

#Doodles #Original #Another idea smol and I are working on together :D Been a bit! #She came up with the concept on this one and I fell in love with it <3 She's very cool hehe #If you're familiar with the game Minit it has Something of a similar premise - not the same strict time pressure but yes on the time loop #Y'ever notice how in some games it seems like the wandering trader or traveling shop seems to come upon you rather than the other way around #:3c Hm ♪ Wonder how they'd know where you were gonna be :3c #The crux is that you play as the weapons shop owner and you're responsible for supplying the hero and his team with weapons! #Except the BBEG has gotten wise to how the hero keeps defeating him and it sick of it - so the shop owner is cursed to be in a time loop! #I love the concept <3 It sounds so fun to play in and there's still plenty of room to think about the mechanics and how it would be played #As well as the art design! :D #We threw around some character concepts - she's really into Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment so of course they had some influence in hers hehe #Only got the starting party for the moment but there are plans for a full team of 4 plus the shopkeep >:3c And various other NPCs lol #A lot of the gameplay would basically boil down to being a bartering simulator hehe ♪ #Very RPG trade-this-for-that style quests - under a time limit! Hehe #Since it's the type of game that pretty much requires replaying sections time-loop-style it's all about how quickly you can trial and error #And then hightail it to where you need to be lol #I think we were also tossing around a nap mechanic to skip right to the time loop reset in case you mess up a run haha #I gotta get back to Majora's Mask at some point I swear #We still have a good bit of concept work to do on the art side of things - she's also been really into pixel art lately and I love pixel art #I also managed to pick up a full release of one of the RPGMakers :D So that's an exciting possibility! #I haven't learned most of its ins and outs yet but I do know About importing custom assets at the very least >:3c #Same with Novelty and I haven't done that yet either lol - all in due time!
