Fish Falls
"Why are they calling it Fish Falls if the fish don't fall? They jump." - "Jumping is upside-down falling. They just thought a three-word name would be too complicated to remember."
This is based on one of my favourite digital paintings I made last year, and it's a pretty close match. I love the atmosphere of rainy days - although I prefer to be indoors then, not like these two watching fish come up the river and having philosophical talks at the shore. Morning Run
"They said that ages ago there had been four-legged, furry animals that accompanied kids on their kite runs; but with the Earth having suffered Extinction Level Events thrice since those alleged creatures existed, it was impossible to tell if they had ever lived at all."
I felt inspired by the wonderful films of Studio Ghibli and their post-apocalyptic settings with so much hope for improvement. It's a small acrylics painting on paper, and it's available on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/894499528/morning-run-acrylics-painting-fantasy

Cubes
"All the cubes had turned into only smaller cubes, so eventually the natives had stopped trying to smash them, but still made it a point to not accept the angular tyranny."
Another painting based on a digital study. Using traditioanl media however enable me to use nice materials like the gold and silver metallic watercolour pencils that mkae the patterns on the cubes as well as the orb (or egg, since it's egg-shaped) above the figure's head. It's subtle, but at an angle it's very nice, just as it is to have these options available. Get this on Etsy, https://www.etsy.com/listing/905554969/cubes-acrylics-painting-fantasy

Crossing
"The question always was if taking off boots and armour would really be slower than uncomfortable when wet; Neng had answered that by always being barefoot but had to endure mockery when they came to stone fields again. Which she braved without complaint."
This is one of the acrylic paintings where I used a lot of coloured pencils for small colour variations all over, the grass especially. On pieces this small it's otherwise difficult to not use one flat colour and make the whole picture look flat as a result. I really like the effect of highly exposed areas versus the shadows. Upstairs
"Some thought the mountaintop were easy to reach because of the stairs, but the steps themselves were never the issue; rather the will to walk past all the things one met on the stairs. Only one is known who made the trip twice."
Who doesn't love a mushroom forest? I enjoy giving skies a strange and mystic colour, and in many ways this is a piece that collects many of my favourite things in fantasy landscapes, including a mysterious story. It's a small acrylic painting on paper based on a digital study; the backside notes title, medium, my name, and the story above. Three Days West, then Left
"The ancient entities of the Pillar Fields couldn't leave their lairs unless challenged; but they had a demon's attitude to law, about who was trespassing and who wasn't."
The digital painting I based this acrylic painting on had some colours shifts that were pretty hard to translate; digital paints don't dry up, but physical palettes do. Nevertheless, it's one of my favourites from a  recent series of fantasy landscapes.
16,5×30cm acrylics, chalk, and coloured pencil on paper, and available on Etsy, https://www.etsy.com/listing/905554495/three-days-west-then-left-acrylics

Perfect Spot
"The old rituals all required a straight line. When the invaders arrived they thought the same barriers could not be done in the rolling hills and thick forest of their conquest, but they underestimated the resourcefulness of the natives."
It's another small acrylics painting on paper I did based on digital artworks I already created, to test some paints and techniques, and more importantly, to break away from only ever painting people when working with physical media. There's nothing wrong with that of course, but since I love creating sceneries just as much, I wanted to expand on that. It can be yours on Etsy, https://www.etsy.com/listing/891020572/perfect-spot-acrylics-painting-fantasy
