what a somber note to end an episode on... i really did enjoy that. nothing plot-wise happened, no storyline, it’s all just character-driven and the sextuplets bouncing their thoughts off of one another about things one might expect them to stray away from thinking of.

pickled plum is umegoshi（梅越し）, so the name is really just ‘plum’ instead of ‘pickled plum’ since osomatsu just says ume, unless it’s implied to be pickled plum and just shortened?

waah.... jyushimatsu with a kid... he’d be good with kids! we’ve seen he’s pretty good with kids already too. and of course having a kid is different from just playing with them, but he’s the type to put in the effort to care for them as well, rather than thinking, “i want a kid cus kids are cute” and ending up burdening themselves with way more than expected.

karamatsu as well! he’d be a silly dorky dad. honestly, sometimes i’m reminded of my own dad when karamatsu does some bullshit.

and it’s cool, seeing that jyushimatsu was the one to open this conversation up - leading to karamatsu probably feeling comfortable enough to say this too, instead of having to be the only one and having the fear of being singled out.

this is really sweet though - especially since karamatsu doesn’t get too many opportunities to act like a big brother considering his brothers are like *cringes* whenever he does his painful stuff. but here, he’s got two lil brothers who are eager to please and show appreciation!
