Which end of the choco-cornet do you eat first? ( ˙꒳˙ )
After a week long trip to Los Angeles, I’ve returned home.
Biggest takeaways from this trip? Reminding me how much I hate flying. . . I do feel great to be back in my apartment though!! I showered and instantly crashed into bed. Had the weirdest dream about being a vampire fighting Yoda and Ashley Williams though...? ´ー`
As for the cool stuff, I spent time in Little Tokyo! I found some cool stuff like a Miku plush and statue, and finally decided to invest in some manga. I got Saint Young Men #1, One Punch Man #1 & #2, Super Mario Manga Mania & Super Mario-kun #52.
I spent a lot of time looking in hope that somewhere had used or old copies of Lucky Star around, but alas... Nothing. Time to look online -- or ask my Cousin to buy the ones I got them way-back-when.
My partner got some bubble tea, and I found a lovely little market to try some snacks that have been on my to-do list for ages. One of which being a chocolate cornet! Easily biased by my love for the Lucky Star series. (Personal notes on the treat: It was fantastic! A bit too rich for my personal comfort, but I was over that very quickly. I would totally get these as a frequent snack for my home!)
I also got some melon soda, which very quickly became my favourite drink. I want to stock my fridge with those so badly!!! (/▽\*) I picked up some Calorie Mates too, mainly the chocolate and maple types, to satiate my Metal Gear cravings. (They’re also just really good. I basically lived off those for a year.)
But apart from that, I just saw some bands at Cruel World Fest and listened to music on the beach. I got a pretty bad sunburn after falling asleep there for a long time. (+_+)
It was fun, but I don’t think I personally have any desires to ever go back to Los Angeles. I prefer New York City so much more. It’s also closer to home, so I don’t need to spend a day flying.
