Although there are contenders like Gold Experience Requiem and Wonder of U, Kars can essentially copy and make superior versions of people's Stands. On top of that, Kars regardless of iteration is still a terrestrial ultimate lifeform with an IQ of 400+ and infinite potential to transform his body.

You can't convince me the light novel isn't canon. IDGAFuck. D4C, dimension-hopping, multiple Funny Valentine's exists, and Made in Heaven resetting the universe exists. I get my different variations of Kars whether you like it or not.

ID:INVADED spoilers but

thinking about @sparklyjojos and her post on the concept and deconstruction of the concept of Great Detectives (those grand fictional detectives like Holmes, Poirot, Father Brown, etc.) in Maijo's works of fiction, and I especially love how, specifically in ID:Invaded, each Brilliant Detective of the three main characters brings them a way to obtain exactly what they wanted but also brings them their own deeply personal misery along with it

SAKAIDO - the "action hero", the typical detective who is happy to unravel mysteries and help the unfortunate, brings Narihisago, his pilot, a way to be a type of detective he never was, as someone who could help others and actually succeed in helping others instead of what actually happened where he indulged in his darker nature and was only able to "fix" the problem of the Challenger after the damage had been done. but on that note, Sakaido has to deal with the misery of seeing Kaeru dead every time, a young lady who poignantly hits where it hurts as a victim who cannot be saved and can never be saved, and Kaeru also reminding Narihisago of his own dead daughter is just the icing on the rotten cake

ANAIDO - the fool, the buffoon, but also the smartest detective of them all who is able to lean on the fourth wall inside of the story to understand the true reality of the world around him with "outside knowledge". as Anaido, Fukuda gets a chance, when he works with Sakaido, to have a connection he desperately craves - he's a deeply lonely person who, as Anaido, is able to joke and chat with Sakaido as a "brother", and being relied on in turn by him (and by Hondomachi/Hijirido later) is vital to him. however, he, of course, gets the weight of his arithmomania hanging like a albatross over his shoulders, the very problem he had managed to escape after the most drastic act of putting a hole in his own head, and it drives him to horrifically find an "exit" from the simulation through death even though he understands he will experience it in real life like it actually happened - truly a personal hell if there ever was one

HIJIRIDO - the cold logical one, focused on the answers and not on the people - Hondomachi expresses that she was curious on how being a Brilliant Detective would be, and expressed a wish to be one, and here, she got what she wanted, even though it was because she was told she was clearly a danger to others - as Hijirido, she doesn't seem to have any hang-ups as being a Brilliant Detective at all and is more than happy to do her work, but in the manga BRAKE:BROKEN, when Hijirido dies for the first time, Hondomachi becomes anxious and terrified because she doesn't want to relive that again and have the risk of it happening again, and her unwillingness to get back into the cockpit gets to the point where Narihisago has to "corner" her (basically manipulate her) into accepting possible frequent death as Hijirido, to basically walk into death like its nothing, and how horrifying is that, really?

TL:DR: maijo loves holding up the concept of a Great Detective, throwing it to the floor and shattering it, and leaving the room, because humans were never meant to fit into the role of a "Great Detective" in the first place
