🇺🇸: So, I was still a little unsure about my original ladybug redesign, so I tried to make some alternatives with other changes and options.
In the second Image, there are 6 different items that I'm not sure which options I should pick: shirt (purple), sleeve length (orange), 'belly'/torso (green), gloves (blue) (connect or not to the arm, like 1 and 4), shorts (yellow) and boots (red). Which one do you prefer from each of these items? (Ps.: the already "built up" combinations are not variations I already "estabilished"! I just put some options together at random so it was easier to visualize them, but you can say any combination you want. I'm also not sure if I'm keeping the sleeves of the shirts and shorts with the golden details, but I'm already certain I'll keep the parts that show the sewing). (Ps.2: I didn't include the cape just so it was easier to see all the different parts, but I didn't remove it from the costume, it's still there).
The first pic is my favorite combination, but I also like shirt 5, belly/torso 3 and glove 1...
My main problems with the first version were mainly the upper part of the body (shirt and torso), but I also wasn't very happy neither with the original boots, nor with the way the shorts were "glued" to the costume. About the gloves, although I like the og black and simple gloves (to represent a ladybug's paws), I saw someone (unfortunately forgot who it was :/ ) saying that they found it important for ladybug to have red hands because of the scenes of her and chat doing "pound it", since is has focus on their hands, I thought it was an interesting concept and tried to change a little bit so I could keep the gloves, but with red details on them. (Ps.: the gloves are not exactly above the spots in the arms, so please ignore the glove position because it will not cover the spots). Although I like the gloves with darker shades of red, I don't think it is an 'harmonious' choice if that's the only part of the clothes that has that shade (if I don't choose torso 5).
Anyway, if you want you can also suggest any other changes (like "I like glove 1, but without the golden accents) in general!! Also, even if I decide my favorite parts in this one I'll definitely do at least a third redesign hahaha (since there's a specific element I want to include on the costume in general, but I'm still unsure of how I'm doing/including it)

We’re told that Claquesous is a master of disguise who is impossible to recognize, but Javert recognizes him easily and instantly.
In a following chapter, we find out why: Claquesous is a corrupt spy for the police, and Javert is the only police officer who “bristles” at corruption and at collusion with criminals. To me it seems like the implication isn’t that Javert magically the only cop capable of recognizing Claquesous; it’s that Javert is just the only one honest enough to admit that he does.
Claquesous isn’t actually ~magically impossible for the police to recognize~, he’s just colluding with them.
I think part of why people often miss that Claquesous is a police spy, is because of the way that Victor Hugo often frames his descriptions of characters as “historical documents and police reports that Hugo has simply researched and found.”
The police reports say that Claquesous vanished in their custody because of ….Magic, who knows why? It must’ve been “either fairies or police,” so it was probably fairies! Police would never be corrupt or anything. And the other police are not going to let Javert in on the secret, because Javert cares about ‘honesty’ and ‘avoiding corruption’ and all that nonsense so he would ruin what they’re doing. Police legend says that a police identification card was found on Claquesous’s body at the barricade, but who knows? Who knows.
But obviously Claquesous is fictional and all these “ambiguous police reports” are invented by Hugo, so it reads pretty clearly (to me) that Claquesous is a police spy and the records are “ambiguous” because the police are covering it up.
The novel starts by introducing Patron-Minette’s affiliates in larger-than-life mythical supernatural ways, the ways a police officer would describe criminals in order to strike terror into people’s hearts. They’re introduced like theatrical villains in a play. It’s similar to the theatrical way Javert describes them to Marius later; he talks about them evil villains in a cheap show (“I want to hear them sing and make them dance,” Javert adds.)
Then we actually see the reality of the troupe. And while many of them are dangerous, they’re ultimately very petty and human. They’re not supernatural, they’re people. They’re not the greatest criminal masterminds ever, they’re defeated by petty bickering as they struggle to escape out a window. They’re not shapeshifters, they’re police spies. They don’t succeed in their crimes because of magic, but because they deliberately prey on other more vulnerable people like Jean Valjean who can’t cry to the police for help. Arresting them doesn’t end in a happily ever after, but with the criminals barely hurt while the vulnerable children around them suffer horribly.
The police aren’t noble heroes against Patron-Minette; their efforts fail to do any more than inconvenience them, in some cases they’re actively colluding with them, and they end up hurting innocent children while the most dangerous members of the gang escape basically unscathed.
There’s a compelling contrast between the exaggerated theatrical introductions of Patron-Minette, and the ugly unimpressive messy reality. And “Claquesous the shapeshifter” vs “Claquesous the police spy” is one of my favorite examples of that.

Graystripe's Heart (or Hope's Beginning)
The (Short) Return Of Bloodclan and Redemption of ???
Shortly after the rescue of Darkkit, Rogues begin being spotted on the outskirts of the Clans.  Windclan claims someone is stealing prey, Riverclan smells intruders on the borders, and worst of all, Shadowclan has detected Bloodclan scent on the Thunderpath.  So Longstar sends Graystripe (still mourning his mother) and Sandstorm to find out the truth, with Fireheart demanding to come along – the Stars say it’s important!
So the three cats set off to Fireheart’s old Twoleg Den, meeting Smudge and his new mate Hattie.  The two Kittypets tell the Can cats about the return of Bloodclan under a cat named Fury – but also of a pair of cats making a peaceful group, and trying to dismantle Bloodclan as well.  The new unnamed Clowder’s leaders are unknown, save that they’re a scarred tom and a brown molly.
The Kittypets and Clan cats are interrupted by Gremlin and Scraps, siblings from the Unnamed Clowder, warning that Bloodclan Recruiters are chasing the pair of them.  The Clan Cats hide under the edge of the Twoleg den with Gremlin, and a cat named Snake attempts to attack Smudge and Hattie for protecting Scraps.  Hattie slaps the crap out of Snake, but a few more Bloodclan cats appear, and Scraps tries to surrender himself to save the Kittypets (and his hidden sister). But a twisted, gravely snarl sends the Bloodclanners running, and a heavily scarred tom approaches a relieved Scraps.
A highly familiar black striped gray tabby, with a horrid scar on his throat.
--DARKSTRIPE?!?!?--
Graystripe bolts from under the Twoleg den, with Sandstorm and Fireheart nearly riding his frazzled tail.  The former Clan cat goes bushy with startlement as they approach, but Fireheart keeps Graystripe and Sandstorm from tearing him apart.  Scraps, very confused, identifies Darkstripe as the Unnamed Clowder’s tom leader, and Gremlin chirps that he ran off her abusive former mate!  Full of conflicting emotions, Graystripe demands an explanation, and Darkstripe wheezes out, with tears in his eyes…how sorry he is.  But he won’t fight them, he probably deserves what’s coming – and Fireheart cuts him off.  Let’s talk somewhere else, somewhere safer.  Darkstripe nods, and after Fireheart extracts a promise from Sandstorm to not just kill her former Clanmate the second his back is turned, the scarred tomcat leads the Clan Cats and the siblings into the Twoleg Territory.
After some Very Tense Travel, the group comes to an abandoned Twoleg den, the walls covered in strange Twoleg berrypaint art.  Darkstripe leads them to a small opening, guarded by a pair of scraggly but friendly cats.  They greet Darkstripe and the siblings with unashamed friendliness, and the Clan cats are surprised to find themselves greeted with similar cheer.  After introductions are made, Hazard and Snaggle let everyone into the Den.
Inside is a well set-up camp, with obvious dens for nursing parents and kits, elders being cared for by a few younger cats, and a prey pile, with freshkill and a cat dismantling a large bird.  Darkstripe is greeted warmly, and the Clan Cats are experiencing a great deal of emotions.  Sandstorm is still rightfully angry – Darkstripe tried to kill Sorrelkit!  Fireheart is wary but hopeful – maybe Darkstripe has changed?  These cats seem to think highly of him!  And Graystripe?
Graystripe wonders who Darkstripe really is.  Because the cat he sees is NOTHING like the older brother he thought had died at his claws.  The older brother he loved still, somewhere deep inside.
A brown colorpoint molly greets Darkstripe, and introduces herself as Sasha.  The pair sit the Clan cats down in a private alcove and explain what’s happened.  Darkstripe was groomed by Tigerclaw (Darkstripe and Sasha both refusing to add the Star even sarcastically to his name) and was rescued from the battlefield by an injured Sasha, who was looking for Tigerclaw as well.  She had been his secret mate (to which Sandstorm shudders at) and had realized how horrible a cat Tigerclaw truly was only after her injury.  The two of them had healed from their respective injuries – Sasha only stating it was Tigerclaw’s fault – and had tried to go on together.  But there were so many cats that needed help, and with Darkstripe’s Clan knowledge and Sasha’s kind nature, they had formed a Clowder.  Somewhere that they could atone for their sins and make a better future for street cats.  Sandstorm demands to know if that should keep her claws out of Darkstripe’s hide, and Fireheart has to jump on her to stop it, but Graystripe pushes forward.
You’re sorry. Yes, Darkstripe tearily mewls.
You’re sorry for Sorrel. Yes, he states clearly.
For Bramble and Tawny.  Yes, he sighs.
For Stonefur, for Fireheart.  Yes! Darkstripe sputters.
For mother?  YES!  He yowls!
For ME?!
YES!!! Darkstripe screams, raspy and broken.
And Graystripe LUNGES.
He catches Darkstripe in a tight embrace and sobs.
Mother will be so proud of you in Starclan.  I’m so proud of you.
Sandstorm sputters from under the (teeny tiny itty bitty) weight of Fireheart as the brothers weep into each other’s fur, one more wound of Tigerclaw’ wickedness beginning to heal.
Sasha asks Fireheart and Sandstorm for advice off to the side, as she’s no Healer or Brawler, but some cats have been interested, and would they mind giving advice while they’re here?  Sandstorm startling agrees, with Fireheart patting her on the shoulder cheerily.  The pair head off with Sasha, leaving the brothers some privacy.
By the time Graystripe and Darkstripe have pulled themselves together, it’s dusk, and Sandstorm and Fireheart have been busy.  Fireheart has a group of cats huddled around a Queen and her kits and Gremlin, listing the signs of kit diseases, and Sandstorm is running a group training session, with Scraps actually knocking down a cat larger than him to wild and enthusiastic cheering.  Graystripe joins a group of cats fixing up some nests, lending a paw and some advice, and Darkstripe leans on Sasha, drained but finally whole in some small way.  Fireheart calls the Clowder a hope for the future and a good place to rest, and Gremlin loudly proclaims they should be the Hope Clowder!  The cry is taken up, and the Unnamed Clowder becomes the Hope’s Rest Clowder (Hope Clowder for short).
The Clan Trio stays the night, and the next morning are awoken by Snaggle hollering that Bloodclan is on the move.  Everyone wakes quickly, and the Clowder Cats barricade the entrance, leaving only a peephole.  A group of Bloodclan cats are headed straight for Thunderclan!
Sandstorm demands that the Clan Cats leave to warn the Clans, but startlingly some Hope Clowder Cats ask Darkstripe and Sasha if they can help take down Bloodclan there as well – they’re weaker spread out in two places, and there are cats that need rescuing from Bloodclan’s clutches!  Fireheart tells Graystripe and Sandstorm to go warn the Clans, and asks if he can help the Clowder rescue the prisoners.  Darkstripe agrees, and Graystripe charges his brother with protecting the cat he once tried to kill.
Sandstorm and Graystripe escort a small group of Hope Clowder Cats to the border of Thunderclan, and Graystripe rushes ahead to warn Longstar ahead of the approaching Bloodclan cats.  Graystripe yowls out his warning to the Camp Guards, who repeat the warning as cats begin scrambling to battle and defense positions.  Longstar asks where Sandstorm and Fireheart are, my guy they BETTER be fine, and Graystripe assures him they are, just as the first Bloodclan cat leaps over the camp wall.
Chaos ensues, but suddenly Sandstorm and her volunteers charge the Bloodclanners from behind, scattering the Bloodclan Rogues.  Fury is downed by a furious (HA) Flamewish, who bodily throws the molly over the camp wall, with her living followers rushing away.  Sandstorm keeps the Thunderclanners from attacking the Hope Clowder cats, and they view the Clan with awe and curiosity.  Graystripe and Sandstorm tell Longstar and Flamewish what’s going on, with the Hope Clowder cats chiming in.  Flamewish is Very Concerned about Darkstripe, but Hazard, who came with the Hope Battle Patrol, tells her the story of how Darkstripe saved her from an attacking Bloodclan patrol, and nursed her back to health.  This placates Flamewish, but she still worries about her brother…
Meanwhile--
The rescue Patrol comes to the nearly unguarded Bloodclan encampment, a seemingly abandoned Carrionplace with thin woven silvery reeds forming a strong wall.  Scraps leads the rescuers to a hole in the Carrionplace wall, and everyone slides through with relative ease, save one cat losing some long fur.  They approach a small, enclosed area, with a Twoleg-made Dog Den and several Bloodclan cats guarding the area.  Darkstripe leads half of the patrol to attack the guards, while Sasha and Fireheart lead the other half to rescue the prisoners.
It goes relatively smoothly, with the only hiccup being a guard going for the smaller Fireheart.  The guard later regrets this decision, leaving with less ear and more scarred skin that he started with.  The rescue patrol leads the injured cats back to Hope’s Rest, and after treating them, Fireheart finds himself alone with Sasha.  And finds he has to ask her something.  He’s noticed something important and…
What happened to your kits?
Sasha buckles, and begs Fireheart to not tell a soul – only Darkstripe knows about them.  She had three kits by Tigerclaw, and after losing one of them, and leaving the others somewhere safe, she went to find – and perhaps wound – the cat who hurt her so.  Only to find Tigerclaw dead, and another cat near death, with her pain in his eyes.  Fireheart swears to never tell anyone, save under pain of death.  She sighs, and wonders where her little Tadpole went after his death, and Fireheart tells her of the Afterlives that Starclan knows of.  She weeps then, in relief – he’ll be waiting for her.
After making sure all the patients are stable, Snaggle escorts Fireheart to Thunderclan, and after a quick reunion, the Hope’s Rest Clowder cats head home, laden with herbs and cuttings and instructions and a new ally. Bloodclan is scattered, nevermore to gather the same power again, and all is quiet for a time.
(And in Riverclan, a brown and white tom sleeps peacefully next to a golden brown molly, safe and sound)
(And elsewhere, a black and grey tom rests safely)

"What you might call a hands-off parenting philosophy"
Helen from where I come from that is called child neglect, I don't know if you're intelligent enough to understand this concept but I'll leave it here in case you want to open your eyes. Otherwise look up to the sky, the sun may not blind you as much as you are right now
"Im so jealous!"
Of not being around your child? Would you rather follow their example and not be there at all? What a great way to come out as probably shitty mother Margaret
Anyway I'm not sure what type of person Melinda is yet but I sure hope Yor doesn't go to her and her friends for parenting advice. Lord helps Anya if she ever does listen to them

Hello hello again ophe 👋😇
I like to send in asks to see other people’s opinions so don’t worry I like disagreements😇
And I remember that Trent wanted to open a bike shop/he likes to work on them
And do you have any last name headcanons for any of the contestants? Cause I have some to share
Trent Myers -is sounds better than cooper
Emma Schrödinger - like Schrödinger’s cat and she likes cats
Sierra May - it’s short and sweet to say
-All Stars anon
I’m over here breaking bad again😈
Hello hello, A.S. Anon! 👋😄
I knew there was a reason why I headcanoned Trent as a motorcycle boy! Turns out it isn't a hc at all, it's just canon!
As far as last names go, I have a love-hate relationship with the established 'fanon' last names from Total Drama Comeback. Some of them are really cool- like Bridgette Summers (fits her vibes) or Ezekiel Miller (has a lot of bumpkin farm boy energy). Even Lindsay Top has a simple sort of charm to it. On the other hand, Batofel? Sterecra? Those aren't even surnames! They're not even words!
For my own headcanons? I haven't really put a lot of thought into it, to he honest.
Though, I do think giving Trent the last name "Smith" as a nod to his role as 'the normal/average guy' in Camp TV, since Smith is the most common surname in Canada, is kind of funny.
"Weber" is a cute surname for Sierra, I think. It's German in origin, since her grandparents are canonically German, and it literally means "weaver"- which is a fun little call back to her grass weaving skills. It's also got 'web' in the name, which could reference her huge online presence and internet addition.
I also headcanon that Chase's surname is "Chen". It's a super common East Asian surname meaning "dawn" or "morning"; Chase Chen literally means "chase the dawn", which I think is a really fitting name for someone who's always On The Grind for views (and also just a really pretty and inspiring name meaning for someone so objectively awful /pos).
Speaking of objectively awful people, Julia's surname is "Baker". Her family followed their namesake, and Julia likely would have ended up working at Sweet Little Julia's too had her dreams of being an influencer not worked out.

An Impromptu Duet
"It has been a while since I last enjoyed a simple dance with someone. For this, I thank you." - Luneth
Since they both like to dance, I drew my Touchstarved Unnamed MC, Luneth, with @justanaspiringsomeone’s Touchstarved Unnamed MC, Keiki!
I took Keiki's outfit from this post, but I added the shawl because I wanted something flowy for the dance. I tried to keep it the same green as the outer robe in her regular outfit.
I hope you like this!

image descriptions: three photos of a painting of an anthropomorphic dog and hippo embracing against a black background. The dog is blue with a thin, round head and a long green ear that hangs down. She has her arm wrapped around the neck of a small red hippo nuzzled under her head, who returns the hug. Both are smiling, their eyes closed contentedly. To the bottom of the painting their bodies fade into the black background, which is subtly swirled with red, orange and green. To the side near the dog's head is a blue piece of paper with faded white text that says "HOW SWEET IT IS." The first image is of the painting with no border, while the second image is of it on an easel, with softer lighting. The third image is a closeup of the little paper with text on it. End descriptions.

So, Derrick J. Wyatt has gone on record saying that cerebrocrustaceans do not have a feud with the galvans over which species is smarter and Dr. Psychobos is the only one who cares. However, in Alien Force, we clearly see Ben as Brainstorm getting insecure and competitive around Azmuth to the point of coming off as passive-aggressive and bitter. Assuming this isn’t just yet another retcon, this implies one of three things:
Cerebrocrustaceans do have a distaste for galvans, but very few of them hate galvans enough to actively want to hurt and/or kill them.
Rather than hating galvans, cerebrocrustaceans hate not getting to be the smartest person in the room as they tend to view anyone more intelligent than them as a potential threat and thus their first instinct is to assert their dominance over them (much like how many species of Earth crabs are highly territorial), meaning that how Brainstorm acted around Azmuth is how the average cerebrocrustacean would act when in the presence of anyone who knows more about anything than them regardless of species.
As an alternate take on the idea that they’re highly territorial just like many species of Earth crabs, cerebrocrustaceans are naturally competitive but the vast majority of them view outright hostility as beneath them, it’s just that Ben’s own competitive streak as a human mixed with cerebrocrustaceans’ competitive instincts resulted in him acting like a dick and Dr. Psychobos is an insecure megalomaniac who can’t stand the thought of anyone being better than him at anything.
I really, REALLY like the idea to give cerebrocrustaceans a little bit of territorial behaviours, haha! Kinda reminds me of how many fields of science have their own in-groups and are potentially a bit stuck up to outsiders, which seems to fit the egocentric coded smart guy niche they fill in terms of power and personality. Especially so since it contrasts with the ‘literally has no in-group’ isolationist galvans that love and value working alone (especially so given Azmuth didn’t go crazy on Xenon) to the point where it is both an honour to be someone’s assistant but also comes with the risk of being neglected.
Which Myaxx, not being a galvan, is more noticeably pissed off at Azmuth for that over Albedo who’s only really pissed off at Azmuth because of Ben (a child) wields the Omnitrix.
Still though, since galvans seem to be heavily involved with the Plumbers their eh, isolationist behaviour when it comes to science is mostly ignored in favour of their outcome and the stereotype of them being cold is overlooked in favour of seeing cerebrocrustaceans as being hotheaded in comparison. Up to and including the assumption by the galactic audience that cerebrocrustaceans have a feud with the galvans even if galvans do not return those feelings.
I think somewhere in the tags of one of my posts I had the idea that a galvan with a cerebrocrustacean assistant works better than a cerebrocrustacean does with a galvan assistant because of the strengths and weaknesses of their work flow. If you mix in the solitary nature of a galvan with the territorial nature of a cerebrocrustacean, alongside the previously mentioned methodology that galvans invent things for long term while cerebrocrustaceans invent things fast and efficient, a galvan assistant would complain that their carefully considered first drafts were butchered, dissected, and stitched back together by their cerebrocrustacean boss, the leading cerebrocrustacean complaining in turn that their assistant is a maverick that either attempts to control the project themselves or keep findings to themselves making the workspace unable to communicate to the understanding of another. The majority of complaining a cerebrocrustacean assistant would make with their galvan boss would be the aforementioned neglect to anything other than their work, the fact that having only two active scientists imposes strict working conditions galvans are perhaps more used to, and the fact that despite all these complaints they are simply by default peeved that their leading galvan is smarter than them. Honestly the main reason the galvan doesn't have any complaints to list is that, like any assistant, they slightly forgot to note anything; if everything is working as optimally as it can, there is no need to complain.
Keep in mind this is a general rule lmao- given the territorial behaviour of cerebrocrustaceans, while they may be stand-offish towards the out-group, they work much more efficiently within their in-group; critique, even unwarranted, is an open invitation for communication in in-group workspaces… even if other species including galvans may tire of such ‘interference’. Likewise with the solitary galvan, with no in-group everyone else is part of the out-group, and criticise all you like but an out-group is not going to change if you list off all the things you dislike about them; why make a complaint at all if the out-group does what you need them to. This stuff just gets brushed over because it’s the galvans that work closely to the Plumbers not the cerebrocrustaceans, so Plumber propaganda and presence influences the galactic audience’s understanding on who’s the ‘smartest beings of the galaxy’ while the only notable cerebrocrustacean doctor, Dr Psychobos, goes about the universe saying ‘oh how he hates that hedgehog frog’
Oh, I think I got carried away!
