Gouenji & Kidou call Endou a soccer freak is so funny to me because like. Gouenji you were literally the only other person besides Endou who enjoyed that nightmare training center. Kidou not even five minutes before you called him a soccer freak you told him 'whenever I was awake, I thought about soccer.' The call isn't coming from inside the house you three are sleeping in the same soccer-themed bedroom and calling Endou from the same damn phone.

started a playthrough of a pokemon emerald randomizer yesterday, and what i thought that meant was that every pokemon i encountered in the game, wild or trained, would be random.

but no, every pokemon i find is standard for the game, what the randomizer actually does is at the start of every battle all pokemon on my team gets switched out for a random pokemon with a random nature and moveset (in relation to the type of pokemon and the level it's at). which means i never know what my team is ahead of a battle.

it's actually a pretty fun challange and i'm having a great time with it, highly recommend 👍

I’ve been thinking about HOTD again and I was thinking about Aegon and 1) how confused the show seems to be about how they’d like to portray him, sympathetic or downright horrible (because he is horrible, do not forget about what he did to Dyana!) and 2) how people keep blaming Alicent for him turning out shitty? And I just find that a really important talking point, but I also find it infuriating, because it’s like this: she didn’t want these kids. We can all kind of agree on that, right? She never even expresses wanting children, and even if she did, we can at least agree that she very clearly didn’t seem happy with her kids and she very obviously did not want to have said kids with her best friend’s father. I think people bring up her not liking Aegon as a thing to shame her, because oh God, a mother not liking her children??? When in actuality, she clearly loves her children. She’s the only one we are willing to protect and go to bat for them. She stared down a fucking dragon for Aegon because that’s her child, no matter what he’s done, and she loves him even if she can’t stand what he’s become as a person. She was forcibly married at fifteen and conceived all of these kids through martial rape from a man that likely was and should have been a pseudo father to her, being her best friend’s father. She was then emotionally and physically abandoned by Viserys while he only paid attention to her when he was assaulting or belittling her, while having back to back pregnancy at a very young age, while literally having to physically and emotionally provide for and take care of both these kids she didn’t want and this horrible man that stole her entire life from her. Viserys, meanwhile, gets little to no hate for any of it? And Rhaenyra is throwing a tantrum for years on end over Alicent “betraying” her, when she knows good and goddamn well that she didn’t want this and had no say? And Alicent’s father is sent away from King’s Landing, leaving her alone raising these kids she didn’t want and getting no support from the man that ruined her life to have these kids, that murdered his last wife that he loved far more than Alicent? Imagine how terrified she was and is. She has every right to be. Rhaenyra has proven to be violent and impulsive and selfish many times, and even if she’s not worrying about Rhaenyra killing her children, she certainly has cause to worry about Daemon doing it. Then Rhaenyra’s kid mutilates Alicent’s child, and she gets away with it. Alicent is humiliated and dismissed and threatened (cutting out the tongues of anyone who dare claim this publicly true thing about the king’s daughter) in front of everyone, and she’s shown how little power she has and how little this man that raped her over and over again cares about these children and her. Rhaenyra says she wants her ten year old tortured after being mutilated, and people think Alicent warning her children about the danger Rhaenyra poses to them is unwarranted? It’s a horrible burden to place on them, but what else is she meant to do? She is the only one that is protecting these kids. She is the only one that cares for them. She is all that stands between them and the dangers these people pose to them, and she’s doing it alone. So, back to Aegon. He’s her first kid with this man that treats her like a brood mare. That dead eyed, empty look when she’s holding her crying baby as a young girl, broke my heart, because you can just see that this isn’t what she wants. She’s miserable. Rhaenyra even acknowledges it after making a particularly crude and backhanded statement towards Alicent about this. Alicent was an abused child that continued to be abused, and now she’s left to be the only person to care for and protect these kids. Of course she’d be within her right to resent them. Children do not deserve that resentment, but it’s a natural thing to feel, and it’s so taboo to talk about with mothers, but Jesus, you can’t blame her for feeling that way.

Aegon is her first child with her abuser. She might view him as the final piece of her identity and freedom being lost. When you become a mother, it’s like you become less of an individual sometimes. We see it all the time, these expectations and judgements and this loss of self, and it’s especially going to be a thing that comes up when someone is forced into that role of “mother”. Look at all these people blaming her for how Aegon turned out. All the pressure is on the mothers, always. Why isn’t Viserys being blamed? If anyone were to have taught Aegon that women, particularly women with less power and station than he has, were just things that he could use and abuse as he pleased, it would be Viserys. It would be the man that forced his first wife to go through horrific pregnancy after horrific pregnancy and then murdered her all for the sake of his own ambition. It would be the man that forced a girl he watched grow up into marrying him and continuously assaulting her when one of the other things besides him and his own selfishness that killed Aemma was how young she’d been forced to carry children. If anyone is to blame for how Aegon turned out, it would be the man that neglected and openly mocked his children and wife, who Aegon and his siblings watched mistreat and humiliate his mother for all of their lives. There’s a reason not a single one of those children gave a shit that Viserys was dead. All this hate for this woman, but none for Viserys? Not only is this so common that it’s played out by now, it’s annoying, too. I’m very tired of people acting like Aegon is Alicent’s fault when Aegon, if anything, is representative of Alicent’s burden. If she had told all these kids to fuck off and figure it out themselves, I couldn’t sit here and judge her without considering why, but she didn’t. She owes these kids that she didn’t want, that she was forced to have, nothing, could’ve given them the bare minimum, if that, but she didn’t. She loved and cared for them. She protects and shields them when no one else will. She’s doing more than anyone could expect from her for these kids. Viserys is the one that should be getting heat, and he isn’t, and I just find that so terribly disappointing. A lot of good, progressive conversation can be had over this, but first, we have to acknowledge who the real major bad guys are, and Alicent isn’t one of them.

i. overview.

name: blair-takenaka hotaru age: 27 pronouns: they / she rank: grade 1 sorcerer occupation: science & technique development instructor at tokyo jujutsu high. occasional field agent. cursed tools: raijū's fang, grade 1. a sword said to have been forged from the fang of a cursed spirit that could harness lightning. can store up to four "charges" of blair-takenaka's excess cursed energy. fighting style: unarmed melee combat & swordplay, rapid movement, & limited ranged technique options. strengths: quick to medium - length engagements. ambush tactics. unparalleled skill in hand to hand combat. close to midrange fighting. strong will. agile. relentless. weaknesses: prolonged engagements. prone to exhaustion when expending too much cursed energy. observed to require an abnormal caloric intake to offset their cursed technique. more powerful techniques require buildup of cursed energy in the environment. at a disadvantage with primarily long range combatants. known affiliates ( name , grade ) : kento nanami , grade 1 ( @juhotookaku ) .

OTHER NOTES. > they carry a large canteen filled with a special substance with a high electrolyte count. students report that it appears to look and smell like fruit punch. > her cursed technique will temporarily turn their eyes blue & give them extreme light sensitivity after using the overclock technique on their eyes for extended periods. they carry a pair of sunglasses to combat this , usually resting on their head when not in use. > consistently carries the scent of petrichor, unclear if related to their cursed energy. > when angry, colleagues have reported that the air can feel oppressive, almost like a thunderstorm. > large lichtenberg scar on their back from the [ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ] incident. lichtenberg scarring can also been seen extending from their two pointer fingers to about their elbow. sorcerer wears gloves when not on duty or requiring the use of their techniques. > sorcerer has reported mild hearing loss due to repeated close quarters exposure to overclock technique: petricannon over the years.

supervisor's note: due to their technique as detailed in section 2, the longer an engagement drags out, the more dangerous it becomes for blair-takenaka's opponents & on some occasions, herself. caution is advised.

blair-takenaka has been observed as a semi-serious figure in their students live's - rarely joking unless entirely appropriate, and having a certain amount of "professionalism" maintained until off the clock. they seem to frame themselves as someone trustworthy to their students and willing to listen. blair-takenaka has been observed going above and beyond for their students , whether it be with after - school tutoring , general advice , or signing off on school clubs. ( their reasoning for this, as quoted by a student: "if tokyo jujutsu high operates under the guise of a high school to the outside world, you kids should at least get the full high school experience! after all, you're only young once." )

ii. about their technique.

cursed technique: overclock. this cursed technique is a curious case - seeing as blair-takenaka's cursed energy manifests as blue streaks of lightning and carries an ionic charge. any use of her cursed techniques will therefore deposit a certain amount of "charge" into the air, when the leaked cursed energy reaches a certain point, the area acts as a lightning rod & blair-takenaka can use cursed technique: petricannon. ( detailed later. )

cursed technique: overclock's main function, however, is to augment the sorcerer's body. because of their main pact, in normal conditions, they can augment 2 limbs at a time, and one of their five senses. cursed technique: overclock's pact limitations can be lifted if one of three conditions are met:

one. a thunderstorm is occuring. two. blair-takenaka uses domain expansion: thunderdome. three. the hardest condition to meet: if hotaru can reach & maintain a certain amount of their cursed energy in the air, a thunderstorm will surely happen. this condition is harder to meet due to the amount of energy they would need to expend & maintain, & only reliably works in enclosed spaces with a finite amount of room.

in addition, blair-takenaka also has a time based pact: the longer they are in combat, the more cursed energy they can access. this, in turn, makes their blows, strikes, and techniques more potent as time goes on. prolonged engagement is not advised, as it becomes exponentially more dangerous for blair-takenaka as they burn through their own electrolytes & cursed energy, & for her opponent, if they survive.

ii - a. extension techniques.

note: due to the nature of blair-takenaka's technique & their own training, they're more comfortable with improvising techniques and adapting as the situation demands. the following extension techniques are ones that occur frequently enough to be of note & used enough that blair-takenaka has named them. this is not an exhaustive list.

overclock technique : thunderstrike. blair-takenaka overclocks her legs and wields cursed tool: raiju's fang. they appear to strike their foe faster than the eye could track, making 3-4 lacerations on the target's body. however, if the target has been weakened, or is significantly weaker than blair-takenaka, this technique's been known to exorcise cursed spirits by cutting them in half, or multiple, lower-grade spirits.

overclock technique: momentum. this technique consists of blair-takenaka focusing their cursed energy into their legs & building up speed until their fists create concussive impact with every strike. the technique is concluded by blair-takenaka launching themself into the air for a singular overhead strike, freeing up their feet so they can overclock one of their fists.

overclock technique, 40 percent: gauss blaster. as stated in section 2, blair-takenaka's cursed energy will leak into the surrounding area & charge it with ions. once the charge rate reaches a rate of 40 % or higher, gauss blaster, a technique in which blair-takenaka dispels cursed energy in a fingergun motion at the target they point at, can be used. this technique can also accelerate the charge rate if it doesn't strike it's target.

ii-b. ultimate technique.

overclock technique, 100 percent: petricannon. once the air is sufficiently saturated with ions, ultimate technique: petricannon can be activated. using something similar to a reversal technique, blair-takenaka hotaru tags their target with a motion similar to gauss cannon , firing a "bullet" of compressed , reverse cursed energy. after a short delay, the target is then hit by a lightning bolt.

the fastest that hotaru has activated this technique is a battle that lasted four minutes and fourty-four seconds, and the highest amount of petricannon activations they have achieved in conditions not affected by the weather or their domain is four. in return, petricannon takes a considerable amount of concentration and cursed energy.

iii. domain expansion.

domain expansion: thunderdome. a domain characterized by a perpetually thunderstorming forest at twilight, with a river running through the center & dotted by wildflowers. in this domain, petricannon & gauss cannon are immediately available & gauss cannon can be used in rapid succession. petricannon can also strike multiple times. in addition, the augmentation limit is lifted. the domain is broken once blair-takenaka is sufficiently exhausted, or the area's charge rate drops below 40 percent.
