James doesn't wear one, doesn't have one around his neck nor in a bracelet. He gets it tattooed on his ring finger while he's in New Zealand and it's a silver and black line not as thick as a ring but, everytime Q watches his husband's hand, it's a reminded of a promise. A place holder for when retirement will come and gold will adorne their hands.

29th of November 2020! I opened a blog solely to host ALL of my short stories, like them or not, which I'd written and published on a forum. I'm very glad I did, because it has seen gone offline, and not everything is on wayback machine. Prescient… And I've since gone and rescued everything offline too. If you want a blast from the past of me as a baby writer, you can go explore these posts! Like this one, which is the first "love story" I ever wrote (it's like 1.4k words)

And I got into BG3 around November 2023 IIRC so here you go, I'm relatively new to tumblr as a place. Quite ingrained and addicted now though lol

Breakfast NSFW Stranger Things steddie. Which is actually the sequel to the second most kudosed one but I guess we're all sluts for domesticity.

Monster in the Bed more NSFW Stranger Things steddie. The lines of kudos emails I got from those two were fantastic.

Sunny-weather Snuggles and now for something COMPLETELY different, SFW mlp appledash. I used to have this little tradition, I suppose, of starting a new '30 day otp challenge' for every ship I liked. Don't think I ever finished one though.

Garden Party which is another SFW mlp fic but this time rarijack (I love their dynamic).

Odd Tattoo NSFW wtnv cecilos, god knows why I gave it the mature rating. I actually had this on ff.net initially, it's THAT old. But wtnv is just that popular I guess (for good reason! Night Vale my beloved).

Funny thing about me, I never remember my fics. Ever. Legit I surprised myself one day discovering a stash of estimeric fics that I just. Don't remember writing. I feel like there was one though. It could be Frozen Wasteland SFW ffxiv which is about the bloody banquet at the end of arr which. Yeah. The saddest part is that I never went anywhere with it because then I started sb and met Lyse and um. Yeah.

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Starlight Kittens sfw ffxiv Lyseka I think. There are probably happier endings but that's the one that immediately springs to mind.

8. do you get hate on fics?

Sometimes there are weird 'this is so cringe wtf' comments but hey it's not my fault if they don't embrace the cringe.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

I was called sin mother for a time for a REASON okay. All kinds, vanilla, kink, monster, you name it. Very much into a/b/o and monsterfucking but I keep overthinking it and that kills the mood so fast.

10. do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you've written?

[hides the ffxiv/ffxvi one under the bed] I mean yeah. Craziest one was probablyyyyy the Gotham x SSO one. I can't remember what happened but I remember the crossover.

Not to my knowledge but it's not like I go looking. Wouldn't surprise me if someone had stolen an sso one though, some of those kids man...

Again not to my knowledge but I also know that ffxvi is very popular in other languages so honestly I'm waiting for it.

I swear to god I have but I can't find it (unless Jack posted it??? It was years ago though) but I suppose the Wild West AU also counts? Green-eyed Drake's Revenge was the last one (god I miss that era so fucking much I met some of the best people but also the worst but I just really loved being a part of such a big project).

14. what's your all-time favourite ship?

The answer probably would've been easier before I played ffxvi but uhhhh yeah it's Terence/Dion from FFXVI. Which you wouldn't know from my fics for that fandom (I keep getting distracted by other ships) but like. Canon gays. Hello. How can I resist. Ship that makes me go 'eeee' and then think about for a while after I see it.

15. what's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Haha what unfinished WIPs I don't have those scattered everywhere. I would like to actually finish Frozen Wasteland (linked above) someday but there's also a phoenixflareknight fic that I'm slowly pecking away at but it has no real plot or anything so I don't think I'll finish that. And the aforementioned ffxiv/ffxvi crossover.

16. what are your writing strengths?

Making anything look good, baby. Or so I've been told. Sheer determination? Dialogue maybe?

"And where is all of this action taking place?" Shrug emoji. Descriptions.

I think it's fine as long as there's a translation somewhere.

Sonic. I don't think I published any of them though. It's probably better that way.

There are a few that spring to mind but I associate them with an ex-friend so ew but Lost and Found is the ffxiv/ffxvi crossover fic I do have published where I put my character and her sister and the arr-era Scions into the world of ffxvi. I love it and wish it got more attention but maybe the time's just not right yet, idk.

fiddleford and jazz for the ask game?

OK! Re Fiddleford - if you love Fiddleford, I'm sorry, because...

I don't.

First of all I spent the first 26 years of my life in West Virginia and Kentucky so when this was the "Appalachian" character in Gravity Falls in the first season, before we knew his history, I was completely fucking PISSED OFF about that. That's where "why do they look like that" comes from. Sure we have people that look like that but they're not the majority, and so does every other fucking place in the world.

Second of all, I still don't like him. I have a lot of sympathy for him with regard to having to put up with Bill but that's where it begins and where it ends. The rest of what we know of him is as follows:

He had some kind of relationship with Ford, quite likely romantic and certainly queer, but after they graduated he fucked off to the suburbs and got married to a woman who was taking care of him, because before big tech got big, in the 1970s, that's not what your house looked like if you were someone like him. People who aren't me don't all know how Earth worked in 1982 so I don't blame anyone who wasn’t even born then for thinking he'd already hit it rich on his own but no, someone had to be supporting him, and to those who say he got married and had Tate after he left Ford, I'm just going to say that Roe vs Wade was passed in 1973 and even if you were drunk enough to screw him after he gave himself brain damage, would you actually have a kid with him? Plus, who was paying for the house?

Second of all, he dumped her to go back to Ford and his kid hates him. In other words, he's a shitbag at handling his relationships. He was queer until graduation, married because it was the thing to do in the very early 70s I'm sure, almost certainly wasn't honest about his relationship with Ford, and abandoned his kid. He sent giant robots after his wife who divorced him, which he bloody well earned.

And then he started a conspiracy secret society to erase people's memories whether they wanted them erased or not.

I don't. like. Fiddleford. And I do NOT ship Fiddauthor. Honestly I always ship Ford with OCs because there's nobody in the canon but Jheselbraum who deserves him and (hahaha) Valiska Courinna, my OC, did most of the stuff that Jheselbraum did, in my RP and in my fic, before Journal 3 came out and I even knew about Jheselbraum's existence.

Sorry. I know some of my mutuals ship Fiddauthor really hard, so I usually keep my mouth shut about it as I believe that everyone has the right to ship what they want, but from a canonical perspective, I think both Fiddleford and this ship suck.

Jazz is cool, sexy, and funny. There's not enough of him anywhere. They should have spent more time on Jazz. Mirage is a bougie wannabe Jazz and not nearly as cool. I adore JazzWave as a sexy rivalry even though RavWave is my OTP (it's not like they're strictly monogamous LMAO) and if you've got far enough in Voice of Stanix to be past the point where Jazz shows up you probably already knew this. He is also very open and loving and I think he is almost certainly poly.

There are not a whole lot of Autobots I like all that much (compared to the number of Decepticons I fucking adore) but I love Jazz and I would bang the hell out of him if, you know, allowances could be made for size differential and the relative tolerances of flesh and metal. I feel like he would be really smooth and really good at it. He's just adorable and fun. And also an incredible special ops dude and good at assassination and sabotage but um, we all know that's what I like in a mech right?

Talk about your Bloodborne ships that you literally never get to talk about! (No need to mention Ludwig x Maria, we already know this one is the most valid (source: dude trust me))

AAHH, okay! I indeed never talk about this so I really had to think about it, but I also realized that I am not the best with ships, haha.

Maybe it’s my aroace-ishness, but I don’t often “ship” pairings in fandom, but rather I like to study relationships between individuals and the possibilities of what a romantic connection between them would look like. I like the psychology of it all.

Of course, once every few years I’ll actually genuinely fall in love with a pairing and go crazy for it. That has happened, and so I do have a small handful of OTPS. I just don’t think any of them have been in Bloodborne.

However, I have pairings that are close. For me it’s either gotta be a complicated, Gothic, chaotic type of romantic relationship that leads to tragedy and angst, or else the slowest slow-burn to ever slow-burn between two life-long friends that ultimately could work as marriage and/or just a really strong friendship.

So, for the complex type, the one I have thought the most about is Annalise and Bloody Crow. A lot of people don’t take it seriously because it’s such a crackship and the dynamic is always portrayed as “Vampire crow simps for the vampire queen,” but I had a different take on it, honestly.

So, in my Bloody Crow fic…the Cainhurst family is actually a big deal, and Annalise, Lady Maria, Bloody Crow, etc. all come from the same bloodline. It’s a mix of siblings and cousins, all from the same house. It goes in generations too, so Maria, Annalise, and Crow are all from one generation. They knew each other as kids.

In my head, all of these kids were innocent at one point. All of them were just children born into a messed up world where a really bad conflict between the Church and Cainhurst was brewing. To put it lightly, none of these kids came out of it healthy, and they had to deal with what their parents set in motion. That’s where I started getting into the psychology of it all.

We both like the idea of Bloody Crow being this cruel, vindictive puppeteer, but how did he get like that? What about Annalise? I love the idea of Annalise being this cold-hearted queen that embraces her own defilement to use as a weapon because what choice did she ever have? She was slandered and cursed simply for being born. To put these two characters together, is just perfect for their development in my opinion. Not actually as a couple, but as two people that are trying to survive and that end up needing one another’s help. That’s when it gets messy because there are feelings of love there, there’s this longing for the childhoods they lost, but its overshadowed by this cruelty that is growing in their hearts. I think it would be a manipulative, toxic relationship, with a lot of mistrust and betrayal. I think they’d make each other worse, maybe even to the point where they hated each other. But the conflict in their feelings is what entices me!

Anyway, I don’t wanna spoil the story I wrote for them, but let’s just say it’s not a good relationship. It’s unhealthily influenced by trauma, full of manipulation and bitterness. It’s all Gothic chaos for the vampire squad!

Ok, the other one I like is Eileen and Djura. It just sounds cute doesn’t it? This one is healthy, and could work as a really good friendship just the same. Something about these two lonely old hunters, kinda isolated oddballs in their community…hanging out on the rooftops, doing their own things. Yeah, it’s wholesome. I already headcanon them as good friends, so I could also see them finding peace together. I love PTSD veterans bonding and chilling together in their elder years. Plus, I know it’s ambiguous, but to me Eileen survived her encounter with Bloody Crow. She let the Good Hunter take up the mantle and went to officially retire. So imagine if she just went and hung out with Djura. They’d just be perfect. Two retired Yharnam weirdos, maybe they could spend their last years living on a farm somewhere lol.

And yeah, you know about Maria/Ludwig xD

That one is totally a friendship-based thing. “Two chivalrous knights that shared the battlefield for years maybe kinda liked each other at one point” type vibe, but I like to imagine it didn’t really ever grow into anything. Quiet pining maybe, but I also imagine Maria might have moved on, and then it was this unspoken, unrequited thing on Ludwig’s end before all the tragedy struck. I just like the angst and classic fantasy elements of that. It would be sad.

I also may be projecting my real OTP (Artorias/Ciaran from Dark Souls) onto this one, but hey, I like battle duos that adhere to the knightly codes of chivalry and then get separated by death and tragedy! Fun times! :D

But honestly, I think that’s it? If I didn’t see Rom and Micolash as siblings, I could see myself imaging them as having been schoolyard sweethearts that eventually turned on each other when things got messy as adults, but that’s already how I see their sibling story so…

Yeah, I mean…I haven’t thought about many others, but I’m glad you made me think about it! It’s an interesting topic and in Bloodborne, ships can actually be important for the plot if you want them to be, which is great. Couples and pairings that drive the story are my favorites :)

i do not remember, but god help me, that's...probably for the best. i could absolutely be making this up, but if i had to guess, it very well could have been mario/peach???????? 🤣 i remember having notps long before otps, if i'm being honest, and i remember my first notp no problem, and that was cyclops and jean grey, so. there's that.

N: Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)

WELL. these are all obviously 110% personal preference things, but man i just. i wish there was more strictly gen fic out there. shipping's a big part of fandom, CLEARLY, and i have no issue with that in the slightest, but i would, for my own purposes, love just. a groundswell of straight up-and-down gen fic where romance wasn't part of it.

i'd also L O V E to see more grungy, gory horror. like, dissection of the gorgeous, beautiful horror setups supermassive gives us. i'm a horror nut first and foremost, and i'd just be in my glory if there was more, just...gruesome horror work out there. bloody drips before ships, that's the queenie motto!!! (it's not. don't quote me on that.)

and then finally, going against my first point - because i'm a very, very complicated individual and sometimes the things we want don't line up perfectly all the time - i'd love to see more people join me in the beautiful delusion that dr. hill and the curator have been married for the past 30 years. on and off. they got divorced a couple times. they're working on it. they're fine. ;P

Pretty much any Sansa pairing that isn’t SanSan is a NOTP for me, lol. And yes, unfortunately, a few of them are pretty popular. :-/ Dany+Jorah is also a pretty big nope for me.

Dany’s Meereen arc. It’s just so bloody boorrrriinnggg!

Xe's one of the first OCs I made that wasn't a fan OC so xe's got a special place in my heart. Xir design hasn't even changed very much because it's so iconic to me, so that's one of my favorite things. I also like that xe's very caring and kind to others

least favorite thing about them

Jaxon can hyperfocus a lot and miss the big picture. For example, xe keeps focusing on trying to make things perfect which contributes to the existence of the timeloops and xe doesn't notice how everyone else is being affected

This is an old quote from when I was originally writing xir story as a series of short stories, "Jaxon woke up in a world on fire, eyes burning with smoke and tears." This was usually the opening line of each story AND it was the concluding line of "Loop 0". "Loop 0" was basically a prologue that would've been published towards the end of the series so it ending with that signifies the start of the loops

In terms of spoken lines, there's this exchange from the same story. Charles is no longer British so it wouldn't go exactly like this. It's the first time Jaxon speaks up against Charles instead of going with everything so it's a very important moment for xim but xe doesn't even remember it

Charles jumped up. "What in the bloody hell are you doing?!"

Jaxon stared Charles in the eye. "Starting over.”

Bailey and Jaxon!! Bailey's the only other survivor Jaxon found in the town xe originally woke up, and while she initially doesn't go off with xim, over a few loops she starts to remember who xe is subconsciously and begins to trust xim enough to start leaving town with xim at the beginning

Not really a pairing because there's three of them, but Jaxon is canonically in a polyam triad with Robin and Holmes! Depending on the loop xe only dates one or the other, but the definitive end result is they're a triad

Charles and Jaxon. They put a wall, so big and tall to be almost scary, with engraved names coated in golden, rank and years of service for everyone who died in the attack and, before that, from the very beginning of the century. Tanner tried to count them all, the second time he visited, but he lost the exact number sometimes between four hundred and seven hundred. Most names are foggy memories of lives left behind the day they walk in that same hall for their first exam or for an interview, life changing events for a place that tidy and old. M's real name is between them too, just at the top of the Double-Ohs section. Olivia Mansfield and her secret little division of people doing the dirty work, trying to save the world or dying trying. Tanner knows most of them, Eve some and Q not more than ten. Nomi, when she has the time or she's feeling particularly nostalgic of a friendship that could have been, comes and sits down for a name and a name only.

Q does the same, sits in the same spot has Nomi, and spends his lunch break mostly in silence, if people are around or chatting away all the stress of the day, sometimes of the week, to that same name. Sometimes he takes just his lunch with him, sometimes specs to work the math out when the office becomes to crowd and noisy, sometimes a book or a second lunch. Once, or maybe more, Eve is there too, just a little further in the hall between the names of the operatives who were around at the time of the bomb, and she can see, clear as day, James sitting next to Q, eating his launch and listening to his husband and his never ending blabbering, in his blue suit and that horrendous green-grey tie Q's mother gifted him on their second Christmas together. Eve knows he's not really there, he won't be there anymore, but she saw them in the same situation over and over again that's almost difficult seeing Q alone and not searching for James too.

Danganronpa Headcanons

General Headcanons:

Maki has several bird feeders, squirrel feeders, and just other foods left outside for animals. She refills these everyday

Himiko has dwarfism

Miu uses slurs because she doesn’t know the meaning behind them, she assumes it’s just another name for a group of people (she got corrected by Kaede and is now working on it)

When Kiyo thinks that someone “would be a good friend for sister”, he really means that he likes them and he thinks they would get along if he didn’t feel like he was cheating on his sister

Angie wishes her name was Angelica

Ryoma has the “Hang In There” poster

Kiyo wears anything as long as he’s covered, gender roles don’t phase him, only gendered terms

Kokichi knows morse code

Kaito and Shuichi have a “secret” handshake (it’s pretty simple and Kaito wants to use it everywhere), Maki refuses to join in on it

Hiro got the scar on his back from playing with raccoons when he was younger, he got along with most of them but sometimes they would attack him and he would cry because "His friends hurt him" (he is the reason his mom smokes /j)

Hiro's mom is from Japan and his dad is African American

Tenko and Kiyo drive each other to therapy

Kiyo, Mikan, Toko, Mukuro, and Nagito all went to an inpatient together and had group therapy, they’re like a weird little family now

In this therapy family, Kiyo and Mukuro act most like siblings towards each other, Nagito is a very protective big brother, Mikan constantly fawns over the rest of them, and Toko likes to pretend they don’t exist because “they embarrass her”

Kiyo and Angie are best friends, it used to be just because Kiyo was fascinated by Angie but they ended up getting along very well

Chihiro knows tons of memes and is very into meme culture

Mondo used to go to plays and musicals with Daiya (they snuck in) and he is a very good actor because of post performance meetings

Mahiru loves taking photos of her friends and has a three whole flash drives full of photos

Izuru loves blankets and soft things

Kaito is scared of the dark and he has a bunch of glow in the dark stars and moons on his ceiling, he also has a bunch of stuffies (a lot of which have astronauts suits or other space related things)

Ibuki has several younger siblings

Kokichi is an orphan and was at the same orphanage as Maki, they just never interacted much

Kokichi and Miu are friends, they just don’t seem like it to most people

No one from V3 kills bugs, they get Gonta to gently remove them from the premise (and sometimes he keeps them in his room)

Hiro has the self-assigned role of dad in their his friend group, he does cringey things like leaves messages in their lunch and talks as if he was like 20 years older than he is

Mikan’s stutter is from nervousness, but Toko’s is a real stutter

Fuyu is lactose intolerant which is why he hates milk, Peko never has anything with lactose in it because their home never had any

This is actually why Peko got sick in chapter 1, she didn’t realize the food she ate had cheese in it and she wasn't used to it so it made her stomach upset

Day 5 - Witch

He'd heard it for years, to the point that he no longer had to bite back his preferred response. "Q, I don't know how you do it. You're a tech wizard." He knew what they were saying; that he was good at what he did, to the point that it was almost unbelievable. That what he did had to be some sort of magic in the minds of the people who didn't know. 

He never corrected them, just accepted what he knew to be a compliment with either a small smile or an expressive roll of the eyes. That was what they expected of him. They didn't want to know the truth. 

He wasn't a tech wizard. He was a witch. 

It wasn't just technology that he could influence but he had the most control when it came to gears and wires and electricity. Others might have an affinity for fire or water. He was just a different brand, if you would.

Magic didn’t factor into life for most of the people at MI6. As far as Q knew, no one even knew about it, which was just fine with him. He wouldn’t have made a very good spy if he couldn’t keep secrets and work in the shadows. 

He should have realized, however, that a good spy could also find out other people’s secrets. A good spy like James Bond.

They’d only been dating a few weeks, and Q had only just begun to consider how to tell Bond the truth about his life. Magic wasn’t something you could spring on a person, after all. 

Q set up his flat for their date, lighting candles and ordering dinner for Bond to pick up on his way over when a notification on his computer caught his attention. He opened the laptop and got to work, manipulating the energy around it rather than actually touching the keys. He pretended to do things the mundane way while at work, but he didn’t see any reason to hide in his own home. 

Magic gathered and flowed around him, the purple glow such a constant in his life that he didn’t even notice it. It was as normal to him as breathing, as sleeping. 

“Q?” The voice from the doorway had him stop and Q turned, eyes wide like a deer in the headlights as he looked at Bond standing there with the takeaway in hand. “What was that?” He’d forgotten he’d programmed the door to see Bond as a welcome guest and to let him in whenever he arrived.

The light of his magic flashed once then retreated back inside him, hiding from someone Q knew wouldn’t understand. “Um…?” His normally quick mind failed him and Q was left floundering, looking for the right word that would explain the unexplainable.

“Because it looked like magic. Only different magic than I’ve ever seen.” Bond kicked the door closed and came to stand between him. “Technology magic? It would make sense.”

“How would that make sense?!” Never in his life had Q ever met someone as confusing as James Bond. It made him attractive and interesting but also made Q annoyed more often than not. 

Bond smiled that terrifying smile that he had when he knew he had someone right where he wanted them and stalked forward pinning Q between the table and his own body. “I’ve never seen that color before, so it would have to be magic I haven’t experienced. And knowing what you do for a living, it is the most logical answer. Sometimes I think you truly believe I’m nothing more than a hired gun.” The words would have carried more of a sting if Bond wasn’t smiling as he said them.

“No, I think you have a death wish. If you weren’t smart, you wouldn’t have survived this long.” Bond continued smirking at him, waiting for something. A moment later, Q understood what Bond was implying. "Are you saying that you...?"

Bond held up his hand and a warm golden magic flowed around it. It was a rare color, one Q had only seen a couple times in his whole life, despite having grown up in the magical community of London. "You didn't think that all those miraculous survivals were actual miracles, did you?" 

Healing magic. A lot of things made more sense with that realization. "I should realize that you will never stop surprising me, shouldn't I?"

"It might make things easier." 

Bond kissed him and distantly Q heard the door slam shut, his magic flaring out to activate the mechanism that operated it. Life with Bond was never dull, and Q couldn't wait to see how the man surprised him next.
