Oh ho ho ho, yesss, one of my boys, thank you.

My NOTP for them - I... Do I have any Gamzee notps? None of the general ships you see around really get to me all that much?

This is gonna sound weird, but I'm so picky about end game gamtav that it ALMOST creeps into notp territory. It's really, really hard for me to enjoy endgame/Earth C gamtav unless it's very specifically done. It's so hard for me to see a future for Gamzee at the end of Act 7. They're at such points in their lives that I absolutely would NOT want to see them in relationship immediately at the end of canon. There would need to be countless amounts of emotional progress, growth, and/or redemption on their own terms first, THEN they can get together :3

Not a notp, but I am pretty strictly pale gamkar. Not a flushed gamkar person, but I still find it cute so shrug???

My BROTP for them - GAMZEE AND TEREZI. TEREZI AND GAMZEE AND TEREZIIIIIIII. THAT BADASS SUBJUG AND LEGISLACERATOR COMBOOOOO. DEADLY. DON'T FUCK WITH THEM. FUCK YOU HUSSIE THEY'RE QUAD CORNERS AND WOULD KILL FOR EACH OTHER.

Actually, also really like Gamzee and Cirava getting to just hang out and smoke together. That's all I want.

My OTP for them - pfft. Psssh. Pft. Uhhhh, like I even need to say this one. I can survive off the dew of a single ginko leaf, the energy of the universe, and pbj sandwiches. (Link is to my 3k+ word rant on why gamtav is my absolute otp of otp’s. I would absolutely kill for them.)

My second choice pairing for them - Pale gamkar all the way. Love me some opposite moirails. I realized recently why I think Gamzee is so good for Karkat.With almost anyone else Karkat talks with, Karkat gets push back in some way, and I’m not saying that’s a bad thing! Or that it’s bad for Karkat! I was just thinking about that one chance Gamzee got to calm Karkat down post murderstuck and it was Karkat literally just so ready to fight and Gamzee is just “nah man :o( just maybe thinking you should try to calm down a little” and Karkat just seemed... so floored? By the lack of fight? And he’s basically just, “OH. RIGHT. OKAY. YEAH, YOU’RE MY MOIRAIL. YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO CALM ME DOWN. OKAY. I’M CALMING DOWN.”

And it just made me think of Karkat not knowing how to deal with Gamzee’s lack of pushback so he just... runs out of steam? Because he has no conflict to cycle off of? And idk it just makes my heart soft...

And speaking of opposite moirails, Karkat is just the HIGHEST strung motherfucker while Gamzee can be THE most pliable pile of soft goo. They balance each other :’D

My fluffy pairing for them - Not a romantic ship, but I adore a familial relationship between Gamzee and Calliope and Caliborn. Either with him just really caring about them as babies or AU's where he can be more of a dad to them (CALLIOPE SEEING GAMZEE AS A DAD POST CANON FUCKS ME UP DON'T TOUCH MEEE I'M IN THE THROES OF EMOTION.) Or humanstuck AU's where he's actually their dad, older brother, or adopts them ugh they get me. Dads who don't know what they're doing, all they know is they care a lot and trying their best? So good.

OH AND I GO STARK RAVING MAD FOR PARENT/CHILD DYNAMIC KARAKO AND GAMZEE. OLDER TEEN/YOUNG ADULT KARAKO TAKING IN TINY BABY GAMZEE??? AHHHHHHHHHHH???????

My angsty pairing for them - This is just copy pasted from my Terezi ask:

If I don't fully indulge with bffs Gamzee and Terezi in an AU, then I love me some ashen Gamzee♣️Rose♣️Terezi when it comes to more canon compliant material. With how upset over his qudrants Gamzee was in openbound? Plus it being post murderstuck? PLUS Rose having to deal with some of the most difficult trolls? I feel like there's a whole slew of really delicious angst just waiting there. A Gamzee afraid of losing Karkat, a Terezi lost in her guilt over killing Vriska, and both tearing into each other in some ugly, misdirected pitch flirting, Rose would absolutely have her hands full and probably get a kick out of it. I also love the idea of Rose just seeing it as a fun social learning experience "oooh troll quadrants and getting to play therapist" type thing, but then she really starts to understand the depth of the bonds ashen relationships have and she really comes to care so much for both of them.

Honorable mention to pitch Aradia♠️Gamzee with Gamzee being full on servant of Lord English and Aradia trying to be the keeper of time and the two of them meeting and clashing over and over throughout time and space as two opposing forces.

My favorite poly ship for them - Oooh, ho ho ho, love me some Gam♥️Equius♥️/♠️Tavros. Gamzee adores Equius so much tbh. Gamzee was just a huge sweetheart to Equius pre-game and just loved talking to him. Equius seemed pretty pitch (and I love Gamzee♠️Equius) towards him, but I think I like the idea of Equius letting himself be loved and recieve soft red affection from Gamzee is so cute.

I have a lot more thoughts about them, but it mostly focuses on Tavros and Equius’ dynamic, so I’ll save it for my Tavros ask.

My weirdest pairing for them - Probably the weirdest I've got for Gamzee is him pailing his auspistice, Arsast Aporia, a fantroll from Miracle Child. I call it "The Naughty Auspistice" series. It really all started while talking about the idea of Gamzee and Arsast kissing in a hypothetical game of truth or dare and then they realize, "Uh oh, they kind liked it," then Arsast gets the funky idea to distract Gamzee's desire to pail Sephar (the other ashmate), by pailing Gamzee himself. It's just... I've explored 'rails with pails before, but this is this the first time considering clubs who pail (there's probably a more clever term for it out there). It's just some silly thing I've come to really enjoy eheheh, especially with the social inappropriateness of it and them kind of needing to sneak around to do it.

Frankie (Detroit: Become Human) - She has a Russian Blue cat called Smokey who is her alibi for things; She calls her little sister Dragonfly because it was their parents’ nickname for her, and Mya calls her Seagull because she used to just call her Sea and it kind of changed over time; Frankie is left-handed and Gavin is one of the few who remembers this; Frankie is very jumpy; Her favourite smell is vanilla.

Alina (A Discovery of Witches) – Her birthday is the 29th of February; She was taught how to protect herself against Creatures by her god father Sooty, who himself is a vampire; She accidentally comes across Marcus while at University, and is ribbed by her friends for knowing the attractive young occasional professor; Often gets Marcus to do the Latin translations for her essays; Alina adores Christmas, but it’s a time of year slightly tainted for her as well.

Sylvain (Peaky Blinders) – Met Luce when they were very little and playing out in the street; Begrudgingly taught her Italian because he knew otherwise she’d try to get somebody else to teach her; Actually isn’t all that fond of boats and sea travel, but got a little better with the canals when Luce was exploring; Used to write letters to Luce when he went off to War, not so much to his family though; Sylvain joined up before he was 18, basically using the connections of his father so as not to be questioned too much.

Fiona and Grayson interacting more, especially with the mystery side of things (The Inheritance Games); Violet interacting with Barnes because him and Lockwood are always fun (Lockwood and Co.); Emmie and Jake’s blossoming relationship (Nowhere Boys); Eliza and Alex actually working together on a mission (Alex Rider).

Three OTPs and why:

A.J. and Dick (Nightwing), possibly one of my slowest burns but the friendship they have that leads up to romance is one of my favourites; Kit and Tae (Titans), because they balance each other out in a way that I’ve always really loved working on; Lilia and Mac (MacGyver and The Mentalist), purely because I love writing their dynamic but I couldn’t explain why.

Chizzy and Monty (A Discovery of Witches), because they’re so opposite in personality, and yet they manage to bring out the best in each other when it comes down to it; Cece and Hal (Peaky Blinders), I’m just so in love with these two, I can’t believe I almost forgot about them!; Kate and Luca (Constantine, written with fiercefray), there’s just something so innocent about them that I adore it.

Zari and Nikolai (Grishaverse), I’ve not done too much for these two, but the way they interact in general is fun so showing the blossoming romance is something I’m excited for; Cassie and Marcus (Deadly Class) are always interesting to write for, and their shameless flirting is sometimes kind of hilarious; Aoife and Benji (Shadowhunters) are such a cute dynamic as they bring out bits of each other that help them to grow, which I love.

fiercefray - A whole bunch, but recently Duke (Peaky Blinders) has stolen my heart; reyskestis - Arah (Detroit: Become Human) has recently become something of an obsession of mine.

a-song-of-quill-and-feather - Atlas (Harry Potter) because there’s something o intriguing about him; kendelias - Bell (The Maze Runner), and I can’t get enough of him.

raging-violets – Cadence (The Flash) is a really engaging character, and her relationships are wonderful to read; suethor – Beatrice (Peaky Blinders) is a really engaging character whose story is really intriguing.

From A Few More Hours (Until Dawn): ‘Josh wants us back at the lodge,’ he admits, voice slightly hollow and attention on the wall opposite us. One hand moves to his glasses, a finger running up the arm of it in a nervous tick I’ve seen far more of recently than ever before.

From Listen to Your Hart (Kingsman): Magnus grumbled at my feet, obviously sensing the fact we were about to move on. I thought I spotted the flicker of a smile on Merlin’s face before he diverted his attention back to his clipboard.

The otp ask thing for clara/augustin? pretty please? I'm so curious about augustin, he's on my mind at least once a day ngl. The way you write characters is so mesmerizing and I can't wait to finally read ASE and get to know all the characters more; You're doing amazing and please keep feeding us amazing content <3

oof this was such a surprise but a really lovely one? thank you sm, anon!! so i should preface this by saying that while clara/augustin canonically have a very complex relationship, it's not an inherently romantic one because he's Like That™ (hence my inclination towards ot3 personally) but there's more than enough meat on the bones to make this vvv interesting to explore. hope you enjoy!!!

1. What are things they both find funny?

augustin finds anyone who isn't them to be an insect beneath his feet, so everyone is either annoying or hilarious to him. if it's someone particularly irritating, they might both enjoy an inside joke.

2. If they could each describe each other in one sentence, what would it be?

augustin: honestly kind of hard to pin this one down since I imagine his feelings are too complex to accommodate only one sentence, but def something along the lines of 'his' and 'loyal'. clara: "chessmaster." (take that as you may)

3. If they complimented each other, what would they say?

augustin has a mean vanity streak so he very much enjoys it if clara compliments his appearance, and often. she in particular likes his golden hair when it catches the sun. it still amazes her how angelic/boyish augustin appears despite his personality being the exact opposite, and how well he employs the misconception to his advantage. for him, if praise is earned, it boils down to her intelligence and ruthlessness far more than outright appearance. he's grown up as essentially an aristocrat, so while looks always matter, he knows better than most how hollow and empty beauty can be.

4. What would be their ship name?

never really picked one for them. but now that I'm sitting here, something like augara maybe? their ship tag is i'd let you win, deriving from the phrase 'as long as you play my game, i'll let you win.'

5. What activities do they enjoy together?

clara doesn't know a lot. she never finished school and has a mountain to catch up on. she's also very hungry to learn which is something augustin fully indulges in. he likes the attention and being her source of learning and bettering herself. with each lesson, she evolves and becomes a little bit more like them, like him, and he very much enjoys that. they have hours-long discussions whenever they're both back at the manor where they debate a wild number of topics. he also teaches her to play chess and later down the line tries to show her way around a piano. likewise, he finds her poison and plants rather fascinating, so he's the top person she can discuss the deadly and the impossible with without exhausting him since their hunger for knowledge is equally matched.

6. What is/are their love language(s)?

augustin won't, uh, be very good with any of these tbf since he's not really a man who has 'love' in his dictionary. however, gift-giving and quality time are ones he would probs do best at. for clara, acts of service since she works for him and it's a dangerous job. her loyalty is the one thing he doesn't question though.

7. Write a ~300-word love scene for them.

“Five moves.”

Clara frowns at the warning. Brows dipping inwards, her nose scrunching, and hazel eyes several shades darker—her concentration is palpable. Shrewd scrutiny gliding back and forth across the board. Augustin can practically hear her mental gears working and grinding, and leaning his cheek against his folded fingers, finds himself biting back a smug smirk.

He does enjoy this though. Seeing her so focused, so guileful, is testament to years of work he’s poured into her. She’s grown in all aspects from starving, gaunt nobody he found wandering those gardens. One thing that remains unchanged is her unfaltering stubbornness though.

She hasn’t won once against him, yet still she battles. Over and over again. Her drive has certainly taken her this far. Proven itself to be a fine weapon in her arsenal. She keeps evolving and, as such, she keeps growing into a stronger and stronger opponent with each shedding of old skin.

Rather poetic. Certainly his finest work still.

“No rush,” he drawls, legs crossed and marble chess board caught mid-battle between them. “I’m sure next season will come and go before you’re done.”

“I don’t rush you,” she grumbles. “Nice try though.”

His lips twitch. “All is fair in love and war, isn’t that what they say?”

“Who says that?

He shrugs, sliding his gaze down where her full bottom lip is caught between her teeth. “Those who lose in both.”

8. What were their first impressions of each other?

mutual "oh?". while his was mixed with keen interest to prod and see how sharp her instincts were (basically if she was worth his time at all), for her, it was mixed with a healthy amount of wariness/unease but beneath that arousing fascination.

9. Have they made each other cry?

nope, but he's the top contender make anyone cry lmao.

10. Write a ~300-word argument scene for them.

“Augustin, please.”

“Do not beg,” he seethes quietly, disgusted, his voice a whip. “It’s beneath you.”

Clara stalks after him, refusing to stare at his back. He’s the one who always insisted that if she wishes to be treated as an equal, she has to stand as an equal with them.

“I’m not,” she defends, sighing. “I’m negotiating. Let me handle it. I’ve been working on something. It will loosen his tongue. His wife and daughter have nothing to do with this. There’s no reason to involve them.”

Even if they are the quickest, surest way to get information they need, she can’t. Jean has dug deep and found nothing. The wife is an average woman who loves her daughter more than the world. She’s not guilty for her husband’s sins. Perhaps it is weakness, or a show of love—protectiveness—she saw the woman display when it came to her child with her own eyes, but she doesn't want them harmed. Clara doubts the time crunch is making her case appealing to Augustin, but she will be damned if she just folds.

Their footsteps meld as they cut through the vacant manor hallway, this time entirely out of beat. Jagged and opposing. Just like their stances on the matter.

“Fine,” he declares flatly. “You have a day.”

Granted to her as a test and not mercy.

Augustin pauses but Clara still exhales in relief, shooting him a grateful look. A day will be difficult but he’s thrown harder challenges her way in the past. He levels his dark, cold stare on her, grasping her chin between his fingers. His touch tingles her skin, tingling and electrifying, her eyes hooding when he leans closer.

“For your sake, I hope your little concoction works, Clara,” he whispers darkly. “You know how much I hate repeating myself.”

11. What causes them to fight?

they have pretty converging moral standings. while clara is ruthless and can kill at a drop of a hat if needed, she still has personal moral limits and lines she won't step over. for augustin, no such lines exist. people are pawns, tools, and they're only useful if they serve his goals. the moment people cease being of use, they usually also cease existing. while they both disagree with each other, they are usually respectful of each other's different moral grounds. if anything, they find it interesting discussing these topics and trying to make the other see each other's perspective. while fights are rare, real and unplanned situations where these principles are challenged is the most likely cause for fights.

12. Do they have differing political opinions?

no, but if they do these are heavily debated.

13. Name something they would never do for the other person.

for clara, it's stuff like killing jean/ramona, anyone at the pit etc. for him, I honestly don't ever see him saying words 'I love you.' - it's just not him.

14. What would be a dealbreaker?

it's vvv easy to lose augustin's favour. one wrong action/sentence and you cease to exist in his eyes. he's not really the type to hand out second chances either. I think outright disloyalty would be a massive blow for him since it's the one quality he lauds in her more than others (aside from intellect/ambition). for her, it's feeding back to 13, if he killed anyone she loves deeply, she might try to forgive but won't be able to do so, especially if it's someone really close to her heart.

15. What are traits they dislike in one another?

she cares so damn much he's honestly a little disgusted by it initially. a lot of augustin's own aversion to caring/bonds/attachments stems from his childhood and being ruthlessly and repeatedly taught that no such bonds should ever exist between him and other people. while her ability to bond with people genuinely is incredibly useful/beneficial to him, he's just a bit resentful of it even if he would never admit to it. he's feared, but she's loved - eventually he begins to wonder which is more powerful. for clara, while she understands, his inability to care for anyone to a point he's willing to sacrifice anyone for his ambition is often difficult to comprehend.

16. If they broke up, what would be their opinions of each other?

tbh they won't really have a boyfriend/girlfriend dynamic, so breaking up isn't really a thing that would happen. but, to be frank, only death could separate anyone from augustin. if he sees you as his own, you exist in his sphere. so no matter what distance clara tried to put between them, his shadow would always follow her step. he won't need to follow her physically, harm her, or do anything other than let her live. he's in her head, and that's enough.

17. What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?

for augustin: sunlight, jasmines, earth, poison, the rustling of book pages, curiosity, satin one second & woollen jumper another, bird mid-flight, footsteps beside him, corruption, sweet, warm laugher, seed blooming into a deadly flower, white rook piece, molten wine, viper coiling in the sun.

for clara: horizon (will make sense with ase context), moody piano music, moonlight/Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, soft smiles/cruel eyes, chess pieces scraping across the board, ink, secrets, ambition, cage, darkness, smeared shadows, icarus with his golden hair & burning wings.

18. What would be their love motto?

not sure they would have one tbf

19. If they could each write a single line in their marriage vows, what would they be?

those two would never get married for many reasons. for one, augustin is not the marrying type period, but also clara would know better than to expect it from him. at best, if it were to be done, it would be nothing but a ruse to achieve something beneficial.

20. What is a promise they have made to each other?

she's definitely likely to promise she would stick by his side no matter what (and boy would that be tested lmao)

21. How have they changed each other for the better/for the worse?

while clara would certainly do well in balancing augustin to a point (challenging him, keeping him busy from his destructive moods, being equally as hungry and always eager to learn more, providing him with slightly more patience for others, if only a crumb, and being a definition of his 'good side', however minute and eroding) she would inevitably be the one more affected by him. honed. sharpened. under his tutelage, she only grows that much more ruthless and above all else vvv good with people. he teaches her how to read others and how to bend those weaker than her to her will. in the case of them actually being in a "relationship" it would be a case of gradual, dangerous corruption. while clara's heart could never be entirely destroyed, augustin would blacken it to fit his own sooner or later. not by force or manipulation but by the natural progression of her surviving by his side.

22. If their lives were what was originally intended at birth, would they have still fallen in love?

I actually really surprised myself by sitting here and really pondering this for a solid minute, only to realise that, yes - yes, they would. augustin is pretty much what life intended him to be (there is one other avenue that might have come to pass but that's spoilers for ase and we might be able to return to this concept at a later time) but it's augustin who first spotted clara at her absolute lowest (starved, uneducated, a tool) and saw more in her. even had she had a normal life not twisted by crime and they simply met somewhere randomly, she might be slightly less hungry initially (likely not realising her own potential) but her intelligence is still there (it would arguably be even more present since she would not have been as deprived growing up), so yes, I think he would still see that initial spark that caught his interest. someone who has little fuelled by a steep hunger for more. the rest would just be him moving the pieces so she's by his side.

23. Write a ~300 scene between them with no dialogue, only body language.

Augustin’s fingers glide over the ivory keys with elegance and rage that binds Clara to her spot as usual.

She’s not truly here, at the manor, she’s not anywhere that isn’t wherever his woven melody takes her. Not one melody is the same, she knows, no familiar tune played with the same sentiment twice. And indeed the mere mention of the word ‘sentiment’ would likely prompt a scoff from Augustin if she voiced it. She never does speak during these sessions. These instances are private, hers and his, connecting them without words. She doesn’t like sharing them, marring them with an insistent human need to speak. To fill the quiet. His music does the speaking, and she does the listening. Years ago, when she first found her way into this lonely, barren room where nothing but a single grand piano stands, he didn’t force her to leave because she respected said silence.

A note lingers—somber, deep—and his eyes cut to her, silver burning in the pale moonlight. Cutting, hollow—they’re no better than her sharpened blades, so lovingly honed. Augustin tracks her breaths, her exhausted mien, all while he plays. She hates missing his sessions, but more often than not she falls into her poison work for hours, wandering back to the manor long after the sun has set and its monstrous occupants have succumbed to slumber.

Sometimes she likes to imagine he waits longer to start so she doesn’t miss him playing. He always did enjoy having her absolute attention for himself.

The song fades, lingering, lingering, lingering—

Clara smiles, wondering if his music choice on this moonlit night means he hoped a piece he composed himself would lure her to him.

After all, why would he play a piece he titled Clara, if not to snare himself a snake?

24. What is something they have each had to forgive the other for?

canon babey.

25. What moves do they know work on the other?

displays of ruthlessness, especially for him. her protectiveness is often amusing to him but also rouses his hunger like nothing else (an argument could be made he's never had someone lay it all on the line so thoroughly for him, and while one side insists it’s foolish, another darker side of him craves that unconditional devotion with destructive hunger). overall their bouts of sexual encounters tend to be more frenzied/desperate than steady/affectionate.

26. What are their favorite parts about physical affection/sex?

oh, it takes a vvv long time for him to allow her anywhere near for unprompted physical affection. it stirs contempt, revulsion, and makes him feel out of control if she's showering him with tenderness. once again, big time leans into how he and ramona were brought up. if he permits anyone that close, he's already lost control of the situation. he should never need anyone but himself. with time and a lot of patience which clara, admittedly, has in spades, I imagine he would grow a lil more used to it. maybe even grow to like it to a degree, even if he would never voice this or show weakness by asking for affection outright. mainly because with her he doesn't have to question any ulterior motives that might come with such displays. clara and her big bleeding heart. she does it simply because she loves him, because it makes her happy, and while these are distant concepts to him, he makes them room for his own amusement if nothing else. for her, I think it's the knowledge that she's allowed closer than anyone else ever has been. it's thrilling. even if it is dangerous.

27. Do they have any kinks/fetishes that they share?

a fair few, augustin is big into control but with years she learns exactly how to work him just enough to have him craving a different type of release basically I'm not saying augustin is lowkey bottom in the bedroom if with vvv specific type of individual but I am

28. Write a ~300 fantasy one of them has about the other.

“Hands on the lid.”

The command—soft, oh so soft—hooks into her flesh, near instinctively jerking her into obedience. Gnashing her teeth, Clara instead stands still, feet firmly planted.

Beguiling, seductive melody has faded minutes prior. In those hushed minutes, Augustin scrutinized her leaning on the piano, listening to him playing as per usual.

“Or what?”

He doesn’t repeat himself—he never does. He stands, his long shadow stretching with him. Augustin may not be a fighter, might not have the muscular build people like Hector do, but his menace stems from somewhere else. Far deeper than most people can comprehend.

Anyone can break a body, but few can break a mind.

Her skin buzzes with his approach. His slacks creased alongside his white shirt. Unbuttoned. His floppy, golden locks hang disheveled in contrast to his noble, sharp face. There’s that edge to him tonight; the creeping darkness, emptiness, that worries her. It has for years. Clara is not alone in this concern, she knows. Augustin is never mild, but he’s always devastating. This Augustin makes her feel like there are monstrous claws creeping down her spine.

She holds her ground until he’s before her, looming over her like a wraith.

“Your hands,” he exhales against her ear, his breath searing. “on the lid, Clara.”

Heat floods through her body, her breaths growing uneven, “Are you going to fuck me on that piano?”

Augustin’s cold, thin fingers grasp her wrist; a shackle. “I was hoping you’d say that.”

29. What are each of their signature foreplay moves?

clara is pretty good at giving oral & enjoys it, so. more often though, augustin just gets inpatient so anything she tries to slow it down by neck kisses etc, he gets even more inpatient. in truth, his pride, while dictating his pleasure comes first, likely can't resist the urge to go slower, more through, if only to see/hear how she falls apart for him. clara is vocal and working her up can be rewarding if he puts his mind to it.

30. Write a short exchange of dirty talk between them.

He watches her, observing each silky breath, each desperate writhe in his lap. Nails bite into his bare shoulder, scoring the skin. Greedy, greedy—so set on marking all she wants. Not unlike him. In this, they are the same. Augustin entertains her when he’s feeling particularly merciful. It’s not often, but Viper uses these moments to her full advantage, just as he taught her to.

He catches the skin of her neck with his teeth, a chuckle rasping from his lungs when she lets out a sweet, drunken sound. Clara’s voice borders on a snap; splintering, wanting.

“A little louder,” he goads, amused by how viciously she claws at his shirt, now mere tatters. “If you want to come, louder.”

She grabs his neck; nails and sweat fusing with dull, biting pain. Her glare is dark, lust hazed, but her jaw remains set. Stubborn. Unyielding. Augustin swallows his hollow amusement. She does make him work for it.

“No.”

His fingers bruise her hip, sinking in her deeper, harder. Half undressed mess and needy in his lap. Catching her like this tends to be his favourite.

“Oh, yes,” he hums sweetly, all feigned sympathy and sugary fondness, dragging his thumb down her pounding pulse. Soft, damp skin trembles beneath his touch. He traces it with hateful gentleness. He likes how she quivers. Not in fear. But in anticipation. Waiting for the grip around her throat she knows is coming. “Aren’t you good for me? Lovely Clara.”

His fingers latch onto her jaw, yanking her to him, all pretenses now gone, delighting in her fluttering lashes and deliberate roll of hips in revenge. She likes it when he’s mean, her back straighter, her jaw clenched. Her own hand slips around his throat and she grins viciously, squeezing.

“Are you? Which will—ah—it be today? I-inside? Chest? Mouth? You’re so close, I’m flattered.”

31. What do they love to do after sex?

as mentioned previously, he's not super touchy-feely initially or for a long time. more likely than if it's the middle of the day he has other things to do so there isn't much PDA. with time though he would get more accustomed to her more needy nature. how much she likes physicality post-sex as well. if it's night, he's more likely to let her slot herself neatly beside him with a content smile across her face. when she's asleep, he nudges her closer, but very much because he’s possessive of what's in his grasp only. she doesn't need to know it though.

32. Do they enjoy morning or night sex?

night sex. after a long day if there's still energy leftover and/or any frustrations lingering, letting off steam helps him quieten his restless mind.

I think I might be inclined to ship Taang if they like… reworked Aang’s character a bit if that makes sense? They kind of have a neat dynamic going in the first few episodes where Toph is in the show (definitely prefer the Tokka dynamic though) but then he yells at her in the Desert and it kind of goes downhill from there and they don’t really have that much one on one interaction anymore and Aang’s character kind of continues to deteriorate as the show goes on. Like I guess I like the idea in theory but I don’t really like the canon for it in the show?

I'm honestly trying to think of why I started shipping them in the first place, because it wasn't like "one look and I knew, they were my OTP." Probably a combination of fanart and fanfiction, and I think there was a surge in content around the time because it was Taang Week or something... Besides the point, though lol.

I think with ATLA I struggle to ship any ship based on the canon content only because they're kids. So much is gonna change about their character, that it seems weird to pair them up right after the show and have them live happily ever after. The only canon ship that I can see this happening with is Sukka, but I have very little evidence to support this, and I'm just going off a bit of life experience/expectation? Idk.

I agree with you, though, Aang kind of needs some major teen/young adult development based on some of the things we see in the show, especially after season 3. He was never my favorite character when I first watched the show, and after reading some metas online, it made me raise some eyebrows about his actions. BUT I give all the characters slack for their flaws, though, because they're just kids! And Aang was the biggest kid out of all of them; he just really got frozen in time and left a world where he was scared to grow up at 12, and came back to a world where he was expected to be the big adult peacemaker before a deadly comet arrived. My gangly 12-year-old self definitely would not have handled that well, so... My heart goes out to the characters and their lost childhood.

But the early parts of Toph and Aang hanging out together and him learning from Toph... I feel like we could argue he made great strides in his development because of her. She made him face his demons head-on in a way that Katara couldn't, she calls him out when others wouldn't, and... idk. I liked season 2 Aang's development a lot because of the Taang crumbs. And she grew as a character too! Definitely because she interacted with all the characters well, but Aang gave her the main thing she was looking for from the start: respect and freedom. He recognized her first for her earthbending talent and her voice, not her blindness or her namesake, and didn't treat her differently at all when they first met, something she hadn't gotten in life until that point.

They have a really nice opposites attract vibe as well, but they both love to have fun and wreak some havoc when they can. They're also stupidly powerful. Power couple vibes my beloved lol. Kummi/Taang theories are also nice, too!

Their amazing chemistry probably wouldn't be built on or added to unless Aang gets a better development arc as a teen/adult imo, and that's usually what I assume when I write my stories. Because Toph probably wouldn't get with him if he chose to not try and reopen his Avatar State chakra naturally (none of that pokey rock shit). Or if he chose to ignore his Avatar duties. Or if he whined and complained that something didn't go his way or someone didn't agree with him. She'd tolerate him and still be friends with him (like in LOK), but no, she probably wouldn't find him attractive or fall in love with him.

But, we all grow up, some faster than others, and I like to believe Aang found himself and became more open-minded and found someone that pushed him to be better and challenged his ideologies often and still comforted him in just the right way to get him to keep moving forward. And in one of my AU's, that's Toph!

You def don't have to ship them if you don't vibe with them, though lmao. This is just me rambling and ignoring my responsibilities! :)

Question from this post

What was your inspiration for this fic? How did it come to you?

It was a combination of a couple of things. I saw so many good fanart works for the Kuro Mer-May event last year, that it got my gears turning, especially in regard to Sebastian. I kept trying to envision him as a merman, but that thought never meshed well with my interpretation of his character. That’s when I had a lightbulb moment- siren. Sirens are another mythical being that lends toward Sebastian’s nature well. They’re mysterious, alluring, inherently sensual- deadly.

The second portion of the inspiration actually came from you and @luci-on-the-moon, because you both helped solidify my interest in Sebard and their dynamic. They’re such opposites. Bard being the rough, lower-class, not afraid of a hard day’s work, “man’s man” kind of figure. While Sebastian is suave, debonair, sleek, posh, and elegant. But their differences only make them all the more compatible. And I’m always down for a “they’re total opposites, yet they mesh together so well” dynamic...my Eruri OTP says hi.

The setting for the story was partly inspired by my love for researching and writing about historical times. Admittedly the 1920′s was a simpler time in several aspects, but with that simplicity also comes danger, at least in this story. That’s where the other half of why I chose this time period- necessity. It would be much more difficult for Sebastian to lure prey in without being caught in a modern AU. But in a time before much of our modern technology, with an isolating vocation like a lighthouse keeper, that’s the perfect recipe for a spicy thriller.

And the inspiration for the darker mood/tone of the story mainly comes from my personal preference. In both the creative mediums I consume and the creative work I do, I tend to gravitate toward darker themes and ambiances. It is where I feel most comfortable and I have been enjoying getting to explore it more with this story.

Your favorite FMA AU? i love the various time travel fix-it fics on ao3 where ed goes back in time and fixes everything, but my hands-down all-time favorite fma au ever has to be the meaning of hyacinths by @starryeyed-char! (shoutout!) it's an au where hughes lives and roy "dies" instead of him and the writing is so EXQUISITE i cannot express to you in enough words how amazing and incredible this series is. it is absolutely a must-read. caveat that it's still being written and currently has eight parts, but the author plans to take it all the way to the promised day so just be patient for the next installments!!

A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?

Mithra enjoys going on missions with Sephiroth not only to accompany him in SOLDIER service, but to show her prowess on the battlefield as a deadly sniper and master of stealth. Outside of SOLDIER duties, she loves simply having deep conversations with him and relaxing together in their apartment. Sephiroth is often quite busy as the highest-ranking SOLDIER, so she deeply appreciates any time she gets to spend with him.

Similarly, Sephiroth always likes it when Mithra can join him on missions because he feels less lonely. He knows how strong she is, and he feels pride whenever she accomplishes difficult tasks. He often takes her on romantic dinner dates to exotic eateries and follows the meal with walks around Midgar. He doesn’t show it, but he loves it when Mithra braids his hair and gives him facials.

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

It’s no secret to anyone that Sephiroth is a beautiful specimen, but unlike the Silver Elite, Mithra admires Sephiroth’s personality much more than his looks. That’s not to say that she doesn’t appreciate his handsome appearance, however. Like many, she is obsessed with the General’s long silver hair, especially because she’s allowed to touch it. She’s also found herself admiring his half-naked body both at night and in the morning. She finds his strong arms especially handsome because of their ability to both swing Masamune with little effort and embrace her without crushing her.

Mithra is definitely a jewel among the ranks of SOLDIER when it comes to physical beauty, as she’s the only female member. Despite the hard work and fighting that come with the job, Mithra is still able to keep her skin glowing. Sephiroth is particularly fond of her eyes, as they are such a contrast to the mako blue usually associated with SOLDIER: a rich medium brown with golden reflects.

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

Sephiroth is definitely someone who will stew in their feelings rather than have an outright mental breakdown. Mithra knows him well enough to recognize when he just needs to be left alone, only taking action if he acts first. She’ll just hold his face in her hands while whispering encouraging words, as well as reassuring him that she’ll always be there for him.

In stark contrast to her s/o, Mithra reacts strongly to different stressors and her way of coping has changed throughout her life. Before she became friends with her comrades, she’d often just hide her emotions in the hopes that they’d go away. After a while, she becomes more open with her personal struggles and cries freely without fear of being ridiculed. To comfort her, Sephiroth will usually just hold her close to him while stroking her hair and letting her cry into his chest or shoulder. He does not need to use words for her to feel his love and support.

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

Although she is over the moon in her relationship, the idea of marriage is quite daunting to Mithra for a long time. She doesn’t prioritize marrying Sephiroth, but she still wants to be with him for as long as possible. After the group leaves Shinra, she dreams of living with Sephiroth somewhere where they’ll both be free to be themselves.

Sephiroth knows that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Mithra, but he can’t imagine any other future besides the two of them continuing to work for Shinra due to his sheltered lifestyle. Following their desertion, he also just wants to be with her somewhere safe. He does eventually propose to her, albeit after a few years of fighting Shinra and saving the planet from them.

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

Mithra is definitely the more outspoken and outgoing partner, but her status as a Second Class SOLDIER prevents her from several privileges. She does not have the same amount of authority as Sephiroth even though she is more radical in her beliefs. Thankfully, Sephiroth listens to her and voices her concerns to the higher-ups at Shinra if they are especially concerning.

Even though he’s not the talker in their relationship, Sephiroth’s high-ranking position in SOLDIER allows him to basically have authority over his superiors. He is the one who gets to request to live with Mithra, not the other way around. Outside of official SOLDIER business, Sephiroth is the calmer, quieter partner, except for when members of the Silver Elite try to harass Mithra.

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

Regardless of their relationship to her, Mithra isn’t the quickest to forgive someone. However, she is not one to play victim and beg for forgiveness, but she instead will just apologize and hope that she’s forgiven. That being said, she and Sephiroth don’t really fight much. If they ever do get into a fight, she’s the loud one and the first one to storm off in frustration.

Sephiroth isn’t one to start fights nor does he hold interest in continuing a fight. He is aware of Mithra’s short temper and tendency to react before thinking, so he never does anything to victimize or aggravate her. He forgives Mithra pretty easily because he knows that she never yells at him purposefully; she just tends to overreact.

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

Mithra is fully aware of what Sephiroth has sacrificed in order to be in a relationship with her. He must deal with jealous fangirls, he can’t just be away for long periods of time, and he has to deal with her on an almost daily basis. She is forever grateful that he chose her, a feral former con artist, as his partner over the millions of beautiful women who adore him.

Sephiroth knows what Mithra has to put up with, not only as a female SOLDIER, but as his girlfriend. From horny recruits to dismissive Shinra executives to neurotic fangirls, she doesn’t have it easy. However, she chooses to remain unbothered about these things because she knows that he’s the one for her, and she knows how hard she’s worked to get her position. He is grateful that she’s by his side despite all the challenges that life as a SOLDIER offers.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

Mithra is not a woman of many secrets, but the secrets she does have are quite deep and memorable, not always for the better. By the time she and Sephiroth start dating, they’re already good friends who know each other pretty well. She does tell him the backstory of her life in the slums, much to his horror. Mithra continues to be quite open with him throughout their relationship, as she knows that she can trust him and that he’d never spill her secrets.

Sephiroth struggles with secrets of his own, mainly because he is unsure of how to feel about them. He tells Mithra about his lonely childhood, but he doesn’t know whether or not to tell her about his supposed “mother.” He is happy that she is around to love him without judgement, but he doesn’t want to burden her with his personal issues. As their relationship grows, he does become more comfortable telling her what’s on his mind, and this peaks when they become members of Avalanche.

I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

Sephiroth inspired Mithra to work hard as a member of SOLDIER. Like many other Third and Second Class members, she admires his battle prowess. On a more personal note, falling in love with him helped her to overcome her original dislike towards men. Before she met her friends, the only men Mithra had encountered were greedy and predatory. This trust towards the opposite sex blossomed into attraction and then love towards Shinra’s greatest SOLDIER.

Before he met and fell in love with Mithra, Sephiroth had always been stoic in nature, fully dedicated to his work and only confiding in Genesis and Angeal. Mithra’s unapologetic attitude and kind personality helped Sephiroth to be more confident in himself as a friend and a partner. She even helped him learn about his background without dropping the ball too quickly, and she reunited him with his real mother. Mithra gives him a second chance at living his life to the fullest, and he is eternally thankful for that.

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Mithra doesn’t get jealous super easily, even when Sephiroth’s fangirls approach them on the street. She finds their fanaticism quite amusing and will often try to hide her laughter as Sephiroth annoyedly deals with them.

Sephiroth doesn’t really get jealous either, but he is not fond of guys who try to hit on Mithra. Anyone who tries to flirt with her will get a hard stare from him, and it almost always scares them away. If the stare doesn’t work, the knowledge that he could probably split them in half is very effective and sends them on their way.

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

Neither of them had kissed anyone before their first kiss together, but the event was quite sweet. Mithra was running away from Genesis after stealing Loveless from him, and she came across Sephiroth and Angeal. Of course, Angeal has to leave, leaving her alone with Sephiroth. Zack, who doesn’t know how to keep his mouth shut at times, leaked Mithra’s secret to him, and Sephiroth took it upon himself to kiss her after she confessed. The two share kisses quite often, whether it be before one of them leaves on a mission or first thing in the morning. Seph is a pretty good kisser; he’s able to completely shock Mithra by pulling her in for a long, passionate kiss. Mithra’s pretty good at kissing as well, and she’ll often surprise him by kissing his cheek while he’s working.

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

Mithra confesses her love after Zack spills the beans about her crush on Sephiroth to the man himself. She thinks that she’ll be humiliated as a result because she fully believes that Sephiroth doesn’t like her back, but luckily she is very, very wrong about that.

Sephiroth manages to goad Mithra’s confession out of her, but not before having unsung feelings for her as well. His response to her confession is pulling her in for a long kiss and then professing his love. He does not even need to ask her out. It doesn’t take too long for them to start living together.

M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

Marriage was not even a figment in Mithra’s mind before she began her relationship with Sephiroth. Even as they are dating, the desire for marriage isn’t prominent due to her responsibilities as a SOLDIER. Following the downfall of Shinra, Mithra does think about marriage more. She knows that she wants to spend the rest of her life with Sephiroth, but she’s unsure of how to feel about marriage. However, after Seph proposes to her, she is overjoyed, having secretly been hoping for such for a while.

Similarly, Sephiroth doesn’t really think about marrying Mithra until their group leaves Shinra and joins Avalanche. Both of them have multiple near-death experiences during that time, and once the dust all settles and Shinra is defeated for good, Sephiroth knows that he wants Mithra in his life forever and ever. He proposes to her after a long period of nervousness. He is afraid that she’ll reject him, even after all their years of dating, but his friends encourage him and he pops the question while the group is hanging out in Aerith’s new flower garden, which she made to restore hope to the people of Midgar. Obviously she says yes, and the two of them get married with all their family and friends in attendance. Their married life is much more chill without Shinra, but Sephiroth still does mercenary work with the other ex-SOLDIERs while Mithra does art.

O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

Before she and Sephiroth got together, Mithra was very wary about her feelings towards him. She was unsure of whether she actually loved him or she just felt the same attraction his fans felt. She would silently wrestle with these emotions, only letting them show in the privacy of her home. However, once the two become a formal couple, she explicitly expresses her love for him. It’s quite heartwarming to listen to her talk about him, especially since most people see Sephiroth as a stoic and reserved person. Whenever they’re with the others, Mithra will also give him light touches and sometimes small kisses. She’ll also occasionally do this around other women to show who Sephiroth belongs to.

Sephiroth isn’t as touchy-feely as his girlfriend, but it’s very obvious whenever he’s especially in love with her. He sometimes talks about Mithra when he’s with Genesis and Angeal or other guys, and the love in his voice is very audible. His pupils also dilate significantly, something that Mithra is quick to notice whenever he looks in her direction. When Angeal first started training Mithra alongside Zack, Sephiroth would always ask him questions about her, as he was too nervous to do it himself. As the two of them got to know each other better, Sephiroth also realized that he liked her, and he’d always find reasons to run into her around the Shinra building.

P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

Mithra is humble in nature, so she doesn’t brag about her relationship even if she has every right to. As for PDA, physical touch is her secondary love language, with quality time as her primary. Whenever she and Sephiroth are alone, she’s more than willing to hug and kiss him as much as possible. However, due to the professionalism that’s required as a SOLDIER, she can’t shower him with affection when they’re on duty. Sephiroth was never much of an affectionate person before he started dating Mithra. His job was always his first priority, and he’d never really received the love and affection he needed. Once he and Mithra became a thing, however, he realized how touch-starved he was. He finally had someone who would comfort him, support him, and love him for who he was. As happy as he is with Mithra, he doesn’t brag about his relationship. Even though a fair amount of Shinra executives are aware that their silver general is dating a Second Class, it’s not a big deal, and it doesn’t affect either of their work in SOLDIER.

Q uirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

Due to her solitary lifestyle pre-SOLDIER, Mithra is able to keep herself occupied when she’s alone, despite the fact that she’s an extrovert. This is very helpful when Sephiroth is away on long, demanding missions as a First Class SOLDIER. She does miss him when he’s gone, but she knows that he’ll come back to her.

Sephiroth, even though he’s not the most social, is a good listener, and never criticizes or mocks Mithra when she’s struggling. He’s also willing to go out of his comfort zone to adjust to her needs and wants, and she does the same with him.

R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

As well as giving him love and affection, Mithra does whatever she can to help Sephiroth relax after long work days. She’ll cook him fresh meals and massage his aching shoulders, things that he greatly appreciates. Mithra’s quite creative in nature, so she’ll often encourage him to try things that most normal people do, such as going shopping or exploring the vast metropolis of Midgar. She likes to throw in a little risk, especially since Sephiroth had been sheltered most of his life.

Unlike Mithra, Sephiroth is a little more traditional in the romantic aspect of their relationship. His perfect date consists of a simple outing at a nice eatery and then a stroll around the city. He’s also sure to get Mithra nice gifts for her birthday and holidays that involve gift-giving, even though she’s insistent that he’s the best gift she could ask for. Some gifts he’s given her include digital art supplies, certain articles of clothing, and fleece throw blankets, her absolute favorite.

S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

During their times as members of SOLDIER, Mithra is not sure what Sephiroth’s ultimate goal in life is. He’s so used to his duties as a 1st, that there’s not much room for him to have many ambitions. Even so, she’s very supportive of him, not bothering him when she knows he’s very busy and looking out for him. She believes that he’s much more than his job portrays him as, and she hopes that people can see him that way.

One of the first things Mithra has said in terms of goals was that she wished to atone for all the crimes she committed in her past. Sephiroth was present for this, and he knew that she was a good person with a troubled past. He was actually one of the people that told Angeal that Mithra would make a good Second Class SOLDIER, therefore helping her advance in the program. During their time as a couple, he only continued to support her in her career as a SOLDIER and in her hobbies. He actually buys Mithra several things to help her continue her interest in drawing, partially because he likes it when she draws him.

T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

Mithra loves trying new things, whether they be foods, hobbies, or relationship activities. She enjoys doing things with Sephiroth that are outside their norms, mostly because she wants him to be able to experience everything life has to offer. Sephiroth is sometimes reluctant to do such things, but Mithra is quick to remind him that not everything has to be done professionally and with strict plans.

Routine has always been a major part of Sephiroth’s life. Ever since he was a child, his days consisted of training, war, labs, work, etc. This routine does extend to his relationship at first, but with Mithra’s encouragement, he becomes more and more willing to have some fun. That being said, he doesn’t normally appear excited or adventurous on the outside, but Mithra knows when he’s enjoying himself.

U nderstanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

Before she started dating him, Mithra knew a fair amount about Sephiroth. She knew what his interests were, his favorite foods, some backstory, the usual things that friends know. However, this knowledge became much much deeper when he started living with her. He told Mithra how lonely his childhood was and how he felt different from other children. Luckily, Mithra is more than able to empathize with him, as she was lonely in the slums as well. People always thought she was weird because she had different interests, and she had no idea who or where her family was. Because of all of this, she’s more than happy to be Sephiroth’s number-one supporter.

Sephiroth’s knowledge of Mithra was equal to her knowledge of him while they were still just friends. Everything changed when he began dating her, though. Mithra had the trust in him to tell him some of her deepest secrets, things that not even her best friend Zack knew. Some of these stories include the harassment she faced from members of the gang she participated in, as well as the horrific story of how she got her neck scar. Sephiroth is even more determined to protect her from harm after gaining this knowledge, and he also understands the loneliness she felt.

V alue - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?

For Mithra, her relationship with Sephiroth is the best thing that’s ever happened to her, probably. She’s never felt so secure and loved by someone in her life, so having him around has helped her immensely. She’s determined to make the relationship work, and she knows that if she wants Sephiroth to continue loving her, she will have to make some sacrifices. Although, considering how much Sephiroth spoils her, that’s not a big worry. In comparison to other things in her life, it’s pretty high up there. She values her relationship with him equally with her friendships, and she doesn’t let it distract her from her job in SOLDIER.

Prior to his entry into a romantic relationship, Sephiroth’s main priority was his job as a general in SOLDIER. Even though he was close friends with Genesis and Angeal, his work kept him occupied most of the time. Once he began dating Mithra, his entire mindset changed. He knew that he couldn’t just ignore Mithra and focus entirely on his work if he wanted her to stay with him, so he found a balance between his love life and professional life. Even though he does value Mithra more than his position, he makes sure to continue working hard in order to help her.

W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

Mithra loves swimming, and she’s always happy when Sephiroth joins her, whether it be at the pool or the beaches of Costa Del Sol. She’s more than happy to massage sunscreen into his back and shoulders and just enjoys hanging out with him in the sun and the cool water. Both of them are skilled at doing flawless, photogenic hair flips and just having great aesthetics. She also likes it because she gets to see him in trunks.

Sephiroth loves watching Mithra draw. She has only gotten better and better over the years he’s known her, and he’s actually the one who suggested that she sell some of her art for extra gil. He always swoons when she creates new drawings of him, no matter what expression or outfit she draws him with.

X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

Alongside Zack, Mithra is one of the most affectionate people in SOLDIER. She greets her close friends by giving them hugs and loves curling up under toasty warm fleece blankets. Things get even better for her when Sephiroth moves in because now she has an extra heat source. She’ll often lie on Sephiroth’s chest, her ear pressed against his heart and its calming rhythm lulling her to sleep. Even if she wakes up separated from him, she’s quick to snuggle back up to him, pressing soft kisses on his neck and chest and draping her arm across his stomach. Mithra also loves running her fingers through her boyfriend’s beautiful long hair, braiding it, and combing it. Sephiroth will often let her comb any tangles out when he gets out of the shower, and he secretly loves how careful she is when she braids his hair.

Sephiroth did not realize how affectionate and loving he could be until he started living with the love of his life. Having never gotten hugged in his childhood, Sephiroth loves it whenever Mithra hugs him, kisses him, and cuddles with him in bed. He loves the feeling of holding her in his strong arms and just running his fingers along her arms and in her hair. Once he finds out that Mithra is ticklish, the poor girl can never escape him. He’ll sometimes tickle her side when they’re walking together to get a reaction out of her, and he’ll attack her bare stomach with kisses to wake her up if she’s being particularly stubborn. Her laughter is one of his favorite sounds in the world because it reminds him that he’s not only a SOLDIER General, but a human who can feel love.

Y earning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

Being used to loneliness, Mithra can handle herself when Sephiroth is away. She knows how strong he is and that he’ll always return home to her. In the meantime, she’ll hang out with her best friends. Whether it be training sessions with Angeal, pulling pranks on Genesis, or wreaking havoc with Zack and Cloud, Mithra has plenty of things to keep herself occupied when her beloved is not around.

In a similar fashion, Sephiroth is used to being alone for longer periods of time. The first few years of his life were spent under close watch by Shinra scientists and away from most outsiders. However, once he’s with Mithra, the loneliness is different. He looks forward to seeing her again and keeps himself busy with either work-related things or sparring with Genesis and Angeal. He’ll often talk about Mithra to whoever will listen, which makes them in turn wish for Mithra to come back so he’ll stop.

Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

Mithra is willing to do so many things for Sephiroth, some of them even coming nearly at the cost of her life. She finds information on his past that Shinra had tried to conceal for years, and Hojo, her greatest enemy, nearly kills her as a result. Her willpower is strong, though, and she gives Sephiroth the truth that he’d been seeking all his life. She also locates and rescues Sephiroth’s birth mother, giving him further closure on his family history. Most importantly, she keeps him sane by gently telling him about the misconception of Jenova and the mistakes of Shinra.

After he hears Mithra’s sad and frightening backstory, Sephiroth is determined to keep Mithra safe from anyone who would try to hurt her. One of his first promises to her is that he’ll stand between her and her enemies. Although Mithra is more than capable of defending herself, that doesn’t stop him from intervening. He’s also quick to come to her assistance if she seems hurt. A particularly comedic instance of this happened when Mithra got her period for the first time after he moved into her apartment. Sephiroth was convinced that she had gotten hurt and had a wound somewhere, and tried to drag her to the hospital. Thankfully, and much to his humiliation, Zack gave him “the talk”.

Ginny stared at the door in growing apprehension. “You’re sure your mum’s not gonna, like, murder me?”

Pansy laughed, pulling a few strands from Ginny’s ponytail to elegantly frame her face. “If anything I should be worried for them,” she said, but Ginny’s forehead was still wrinkled in worry, so she dropped a quick kiss on her girlfriend’s cheek. “Really, it’ll be fine,” she reassured. “Just don’t bring up politics, and you’re golden.”

Ginny nodded to herself, took in a deep breath, and rang the doorbell.

Pansy’s mother answered the door with a wide smile on her face and pulled Ginny into a hug. “Welcome, Ginevra! Pansy’s told me so much about you!”

Ginny’s eyes were wide and slightly panicked. “Oh?” she squeaked.

Mother let out a loud, fake laugh and led them into the dining room. Pansy squeezed Ginny’s hand reassuringly - this was already going far better than she’d hoped.

She had gone to dinner at the Weasley’s a week ago, and she’d felt about as out of place as Ginny probably felt here. Pansy’s parents loved to show off their wealth with excessive extravagance, which was why their dining table was about twenty feet long and illuminated by a sparkling chandelier overhead. It was already filled with fancy dishes, placed by their many House Elves.

The Burrow had been the exact opposite, of course: small, homey, and warm. Pansy had expected to be treated with cold glances and fake laughs. What she had gotten instead was a knitted sweater and a second family.

Ginny sat in her seat, laughing brightly at father’s awful jokes and brightening the room more than the gaudy chandelier ever could. She’d been stressing out all week about meeting Pansy’s proper, Pureblood parents, but Pansy was certain she was the more nervous one of the two. She had a mansion filled with material goods, but the Weasleys had a home.

Pansy excused herself to go to the loo about halfway through dessert. She spent a few minutes adjusting her hair in the mirror, letting the soft, cheesy smile she’d been tamping down all evening finally surface. She’d expected a tense but polite evening; Ginny could charm anyone, of course: she was the head Chaser for the Harpies, half the country was already in love with her. But her parents had never had good things to say about people like the Weasleys in the past… and Pansy was nothing if not realistic.

Yet somehow, halfway through Ginny’s lively retelling of her brothers’ shenanigans at school, father had let out a real, bellowing laugh. Even mother was letting out a few drunken giggles, something neither of her parents ever let themselves do in front of company. Ginny, of course, remained oblivious to what this meant, but Pansy could only watch the scene with wide eyes. In the strange, performative language of the Parkinsons, genuine laughter was worth gold: this was how they expressed acceptance.

She didn’t want to be boring, but the fact that her parents - the Parkinson family - loved Ginny even half as much as Pansy did, had her on cloud nine.

This was why she probably shouldn’t have been surprised when she walked back into the room and was greeted with a sight that made her stop dead in her tracks.

Ginny looked about ready to sink into the floor. Mother was grinding her teeth; Father, looking at Mother in apprehension. One House Elf was hovering in the kitchen, as if ready to intervene at any moment.

The room was deadly silent.

“Hi Pans! Remember that thing you told me not to do?” Ginny smiled sheepishly, face redder than her hair. “Yeah, um.” She surveyed the room once, twice, then turned back to face Pansy with a grimace. “I did it?” she whispered.

Pansy narrowed her eyes, then took a cautious seat. “Is everything alright?”

Father’s words came out tight, as if it was physically paining him to keep his composure. “Pansy dear,” he said. “You know that Merlin’s not real, right?”

She stared at him blankly for a moment, letting the words sink in. “Are we really having this discussion again?”

Mother looked like she could stab someone with her fork, considering how tightly she was gripping it. “Yes, Pansy. We are,” she said in a clipped tone.

“All I said was ‘Merlin’s beard’, I’m sorry,” Ginny said, swiveling to Pansy with wide eyes clearly signaling help. “I didn’t mean any offense.”

“Merlin isn’t real,” Father repeated. “Those damn fools at Hogwarts will tell you otherwise, but it’s brainwashing, and we as Parkinsons do not stand for it.” Mother didn’t even look scandalized at his use of the word ‘damn’, that was how far gone she was.

Ginny looked like her soul was physically leaving her body. “Oh. Right. Of course.”

Pansy slowly stood and pulled Ginny out of her seat as well. This was their cue to leave. “Well, as invigorating as this debate always is,” she laughed nervously. “Ginny left the oven on! You know how she is, haha.”

Mother smiled a little too wide, finally releasing her death grip on the silverware, and saw them out the door with a batch of cookies - since when did she know how to use an oven? - to go. She hugged them both on the way out, and Father gave them firm handshakes, and then they were out in the snow, free from the clutches of the hate-inducing Parkinson Merlin Argument.

“Your parents are truly an enigma,” Ginny murmured as they walked quickly down the driveway. They apparated away before Pansy even had a chance to respond.

“I told you not to bring up politics,” Pansy giggled when they finally got home, kissing her - still very red - girlfriend before putting away her coat. “I was thinking more blood purity, Wizarding War type shit. How was that even remotely political?”

“I dunno, but they got, like, really mad about that,” Ginny laughed, looking over her shoulder nervously. “Please don’t leave for the bathroom next time. I’m a Blood Traitor heathen, I did not know how to handle that.”

Pansy rolled her eyes and pulled a bottle of wine out of a cupboard. They’d earned a few more drinks before bed. “Oh please, you did just as well as anyone could. Pureblood parents are all a little deranged, dealing with their bullshit every now and then is healthy!”

The kitchen was quiet for a moment, filled only with the clinking of the wine glasses and the soft sound of their breathing. Then-

“Wait,” Pansy looked up abruptly. “Did you say ‘next time’?”

Ginny bit her lip. “Well, you know,” she shrugged, but her eyes were shining. “I’m willing to put up with deranged parents every now and then if it means I get to keep you.”

Pansy dove at her girlfriend, pulling her into the tightest hug imaginable and only let go when the tears in her eyes had cleared away. “I’ll put up with messy Weasley boys too, you know,” she said casually, but the smile on her face gave her away.

“Yeah, I love you too, weirdo,” Ginny said. The events of the evening were already catching up to Pansy, and the wine was truly dreadful, but as the light of their small kitchen caught on Ginny’s hair, she realized something.

Pansy was more content than she’d been in years: more importantly, Pansy was finally home.

2. Do you have a personal favorite among your OCs?

Personal favorite is often shown in the one I draw the most lol, which for a long time was Danielle LWW, but just because she was also my wolfsona at the time. After I made my own personal one I think I went onto Sam for a good while, also eventually going to Dany from Bsd!

So a tie between two beautiful girls, Sam is definitely my favorite LWW Oc, she is just precious and the one I hold the most and most always feel terrible and bad when I put her through it TM.

Also Dany is my self insert, U//w//U, she has definitely allowed me to slowly self love and allow me to appreciate myself, especially the parts of me I didn’t think to much about or consider so appealing, I think? She has definitely been changing gradually into more of myself since I first came up with her almost 2 years ago! Watch me slowly knock her down to my height of 4′9″, let her have her 3 inches for another year maybe lol.

19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)

Definitely Darkwolfmon! I am sure I explained in the first question why, but again I consider her to be that other half of me, the part of me I never discovered or the parts that essentially fill in the gaps within me. She is my precious partner Digimon and has honestly come a long, long way since I first created her. I believe sometime in 2009-2010, so almost 11-12 years since. She was the first ever OC of mine and is one I hold closest too in my heart.

For the longest time, even too now, I have always wanted her to just manifest at my side. Go on this journey of life together. While she might not be physically here like my child-self would want, she is still in my stories, my imagination, my inspirational drive. I think that is definitely more than enough, I don't know where or who I would be without having created her. I probably wouldn’t have a whole tale of OC’s and stories to tell if it wasn't for her.

I am more than grateful and thankful that I am who I am because of this lovely Oc of mine. I can only hope to have her at my side for the rest of my days!

20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?

Most, if not all, my OC’s can sing! Their voices and tones vary, to which I cannot give a straight answer on how I headcanon most of their voices right now ^^; I will say that Danielle has a British accent to her voice as well as Spanish speak, and Sora has a Russian accent to her voice, so may be just lightly deep, but not to much.

I will definitely go with my Bsd Oc/Self Insert Danielle Mika Mason, however! Because I have gone and done a thing on how she would speak in her Japanese and English Dub! Other than me also being her voice, her Japanese VA would be Yui Ishikawa, same VA of the queen herself, Mikasa 💕 English VA would be Barrett Wilbert Weed, with an English accent, good Veronica from the Heathers! You can have a listen to her here in this post!

Dany is meek when it comes to her singing, she will often be caught humming and softly singing something, but quickly tends to stop around others. She is often back and forth with how she sounds and often shuts down when she hears someone she considers better than her. She just needs some encouragement and a gentle push from someone she really cares about. When she does feel the push and genuineness from someone she will sing her heart out. But of course prefers to sing for only that one special person~ can ya guess~ 🐯

31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really).

Oh boi! I literally have moodboards to add to this! I pick Samantha, or Sam!

She would totes have a Tumblr blog, and Instagram! You always look forward to see what she post and just feel an instant calmness and warmth when you see it! She is always tagging her things appropriately, a soft and warm spring like layout that is shades of yellows, golds, orange, white; an occasional blue and teal as well! She would reblog anything of her aesthetic, golds, yellows, dance and ballet related things (may even post videos or poses of herself in practice and dance related things), cafe shops, sweets and desserts, warm night lights, cats, lots and lots of cats and felines of all shapes and sizes! Her best friend/boyfriend, Takaru always cameos in her stories and posts 💖

She would also reblog or spread awareness of any issues happening in the world, marking them and making her own voice heard as well. In spur moments, you may see her not tag things, but will likely go back to name things accordingly. She would also reblog anything of Bi Pride too!

28. Your most dangerous OC?

Hmmm,,, my most dangerous Oc, I am taking the notion that they are just plain dangerous and likely of evil intent in their actions. Because plenty of my Oc’s on their own are dangerous in their own right, such as the Legendary Wolf Warriors, who have a great power at their paws. They can be destructive in their actions if they lose control or use it for the wrong intentions, which they wouldn't do of their free will.

I will say Danielle and Sam are the strongest of the seven, because of their powers of Darkness and Light, respectively. Their souls created the others, so the other Warrior’s power does not match theirs. They can definitely be lethal together if used for the wrong reasons or if they are under the control of a Human or Deadly Sin.

Which leads me to say that the most dangerous of my OC’s with the worst intentions and evil thought processes that makes them dangerous is likely the Deadly Soul Sin Pride, or Mikka Penelope King/Pride as her solid name goes.

She is definitely the most sinister of the seven sins, even worse than Wrath, who you may figure would be the worst. She has a calculating mind and is very precise in her actions and ways of manipulation. She has a poison within her veins that is just as deadly, capable of blinding others or even killing without remorse or care. While she may be a ghost like entity in my stories, a person/digimon holder in my Digimon College Au, she has enough power to influence people to fall under pride and vanity in the most dangerous level possible, heck even possess them if she wishes. That makes her stronger, as well as the other sins. Does not matter if she is dead or fades away for a while, her influence remains and if it does, than she can exist for a long as she desires.

Lol I saw cinnamon roll and instantly had a list of ocs ready, honestly any child OC I have is instantly a cinnamon roll and to good and put for this world, please treat them all kindly!

Current top Oc’s that come to mind are Haruko Mason-Nakajima, along with their nameless sister/pup! They are the sweetest babies ever and love them so much. Too good and pure, especially nameless pup with her love for tigers; she wants to grow up and be like her sibling and papa 🥺🥰 You can see the post on them here!

Next up is my precious flamey boi named Alik Azure Mizuhara! A next gen. LWW, son of Sora and Yamato! A little sightless boi with the softest heart and warmest empathy for others. Very much like his mother in likeness and pure curiosity of the world’s secrets and tales. His father worries for him a lot, but gradually learns to trust in his ability to guide himself. Don’t worry too much about him, he is very smart and knows how to care and guide himself!

So to start off, Hello! I’m Amanda/ KnifeeWifee! Welcome to my page! I am an artist, and I take drawing requests! In this post I will list the animes I draw for, my rules and drawing prompts! You do not have to use these prompts but they are preferred ! BUT you DO have to follow my rules or I will ignore your request! Sorry babes :(

All of my art is free to use except for PERSONAL art (Art with my characters in them! Or art I draw for someone specific to use!) All I ask is that you DO NOT remove my signature and do not claim it as your own!! Thank you so much, Sweets!

I WILL NOT DO NSFW requests!!!! (unless they are commissions)

Do NOT be rude to me. I am human just like you and sometimes it will take me some time to get to your request! Drawing takes a lot of time even if they are sketches!!!

I will draw suggestive content but NOT of the underaged characters! I can age up the students but characters like Eri and Kota are OFF LIMITS. (but i will draw them as is! Ex. Eri with a flower crown or Kota dressing up like Deku)

I will NOT draw Mineta. He makes me uncomfortable and I hope you understand this.

I will take writing requests but I am not super comfortable with my writing skills so please understand if they take a long time to show up!

Sorry it took so long and @sexyshoelessgodofwar asked for DA too so I’m tagging them. Also @restitutor-orbis.Computer problems. Also

Favorite Character: Probably between Cullen and Alistair. I relate to Cullen’s tramau and I admit I do sometimes crack jokes about it so I really relate to Alistair.

Least Favorite Character Technically Meredith but that feels like cheating so Anora. She reminds me of someone, named Megan who I don’t like. So my brain just goes

5 Favorite Ships

Though I have a Trevelyan for Blackwall, I prefer Cadash/Blackwall. Like my game glitched so I couldn’t do it, but from what I’ve seen he’s the only one (that talks about it at least) that has no shame about their criminal past. The rest was kind of putting shame onto them. And he was like “Woah,woah. I’m not upset, I understand sometimes you are backed into a corner. I know your a good person.” And I’m sorry I ship it. Also Cadash I think out of all the orgins would be the most forgiving, I think. They both probably did bad stuff, y’know.

Cullen x Trevellyan. Like I like Lavellan but when I nailed down Nichole that became my hyperfixation. It was my first otp when I entered fandom, the last OTP I hade was when I was like ten watching teen titans. Also helped me deal with some shit. I always will have a soft spot for them.

Alistair/Warden. Friends to lovers and smart asses. I don’t have much else to say. I am simple when it comes to them.

Morrigian and my Brosca. I just think they would confuse the shit out of people. Like Banar is just a sweet ray of sunshine. Would save the world with the power of friendship. Is in love with Morrigian and she loves him back. The party talk I imagine would be less “He could do better.” but “How?” Also sucker for opposites attract. And they fulfill that for me.

I also think Nichole would be cute with Alistair. Like cute awkward adhd warriors trying to flirt. So Alistair/Trevelyan.

Character I find Most Attractive: As a Bi woman this question should be illegal. Cullen,Alistair, Josie, Leliana. Also Isabella, if I ever get DA2 expansions I’m kissing her.

Character I would be best friends with: Alistair. If you shove him in my irl friend group. He would fit right in. A dorky goofball that makes smartass comments. That is both Alistair and every friend I have.

Character I would marry: Probably Alistair. Like we have the most in common, personality wise and he’s just really sweet.

A random thought: Not having a mabari in Inquisition is stupid we got mounts but not a dog. Stupid.

My Canon OTP: Cullen x Trevelyan

Non Canon Otp: I guess Varric x Hawke. Like I love their friendship but it’s like c’mon. Like they always have each others back, and he’s not a romance option. Wait Merril x Isabella x Hawke I love. Just love those three’s dynamic.

Most Badass Character: Leliana. Just the stealth and politics are such a deadly combo.

Most Epic Villain: Mereidith. Like I hate her so much. 10/10 great villain.

Pairing I’m not a fan of: Samson/Cullen. With Cullen being such a coping character for me I struggle putting him in toxic relationships and I personally cant see it as healthy. If you do or like the toxic nature or whatever that’s fin. Just not my thing.

Character I feel the writers screwed up in one way or another.

Oghren. I could go on forever about how much I hate the path they did with Oghren. Like take away Orghen’s jokes his story is a man whose wife disappeared,assumed dead that then loses his honor after accidentally killing a man, is “coping” with all these loses by drinking. And then he loses even more when the warden came. He finds his wife insane, he may even have to kill her and then he goes to the surface and loses his home. And then the game pretty much makes it just a joke.Like they focus on the fact that he’s an ass but I fucking wish they would focus on all the things he lost.

Fav Friendship: Cullen/Cass, Dorian/Cullen, Dorian/Inquisitor, Blackwall/inquisitor couldn’t pick. I like how loyal and protective Cullen and Cass are to each other. I like Dorian/Cullen highlighting Cullen’s change on his attitude towards mages. Also he helps him relax and not overthink things. Dorian/quizzy are a found family and you can’t change my mind and I want Blackwall to adopt me.

Character I most Identify with: Alistair followed by Cullen. I relate to trying to not making people worry with jokes and pretending I’m fine. I also relate to Cullen’s anger a lot. Like not the mages part, but I’m angry at so many things. Some justified but I still have to remind myself not to blame people who did things that they thought was for the best, even if they were wrong.

Character I wish I could be: Um, Sten being vaguely threatening and eating cookies all day. That’s the dream. Seriously though, um Josephine. She has her shit together, I want my shit together.

I’ll do Alistair since every knows my opinions on Cullen.Also to my followers who followed me for awhile. Sorry for the Cullen spam, like in general.

How I feel about this character: Relatable as fuck and absolutely charming

Any and all ships I have for him:

I’m going to channel my Galavant blog energy and ship him with everyone I can.

Warden/Alistair obviously. Can be canon and them flirting by seeing who can make the funniest joke. Is how I view the relationship. It’s great when they accidently confess something when screwing around. Like Alistair calling you beautiful without realizing it. Amazing.

Leliana and Alistair: In Origins both lived in a chantry, both cheerful despite trauma. Both can be hardened during the events of Origins so that cheerful bubble of thinking the world is generally a good place is always threatened to be burst through out the game. I think they have some interesting similarites that could work.

Morrigan x Alistair. Not my Fav but I get it. Enemies to lovers, with a dash of Andy and April. I understand it at least.

Trev/Alistair: Mainly because Nichole. But also all quizzy ships. Seeing him crushing on someone when he’s not 19 would be interesting.

I’ve seen some ideas of Zev x Alistair. Still not sure what to think. It has potential in the opposites attract kind of way but I haven’t thought about it that much. They haven’t hit that wire in my brain that made me realize where the strongest potential lies or seen metas that make me go oh shit. Like I ship it a little because I’m curious but I haven’t found the emotional core of it.

Fav Non Romantic relationship for him: Easy Wynne is his mother now.

My unpopular opinion for him: I don’t know, like any opinion I have I feel is popular in some circle. Like some people view Alistair as whiny and I disagree and a lot of people would back me up. So I don’t think it counts as unpopular. I think he has adhd I only seen one other post mention it.

One thing I wish will happen in canon: He has a son named Duncan, either by birth or adoption, and the Warden brings the cure back.

Favorite friendship: Wynne, isn’t this the same as the non romantic question?

Crossovership: I’m going to do a Galavant one since Dragon age and Galavant are the two main reasons people recognize me here. Um I kind of ship him with both season two Richard and Roberta. A goofy dumb royal with a god awful family and Roberta a sweet and slightly awkward warrior that is the mom friend of every group. I think King Richard and Alistair would be hilliarious and sweet and Roberta/Alistair would be heartfelt. I’ll polly ship them since Roberta/Richard is canon.

30-ish days of carry on: days 4-6

(Trying to catch up by grouping some questions together)

4. Which character would you like to go to lunch with?

Like I said for day 2, I would *love* to spend some time with Ebb, but I’m going to have to ask her to wash her hands first, I’m sorry.

5. Favourite non-Snowbaz ship - Not applicable, I'm not really a shipper, sorry

6. Favourite non-romantic OTP

Okay. This one’s a bit of a complicated question, but ultimately the answer is basically… all of them? All of the four main characters. I like group dynamics and found families and so on. But we don’t actually really see all four interact as friends in canon, so let’s break this down.

Penny and Baz are both fierce and passionate and academic, they get excited about the same things, they’re competitive and love debating with each other, but they also just… really respect each other. Not just academically – I like the way Penny’s always trying to be the reasonable one about Baz with Simon (though she never thinks he’s *not* a threat, because he has… proven himself to be dangerous), and I love how they trust each other so easily despite being on opposite sides. (Once they have the evidence. But I also really like that, in that final scene in the White Chapel, Penny, who loves to interrogate people, doesn’t need all the information to trust Baz. She just sees him acting trustworthy and sees that Simon trusts him and is like, okay, this is happening now.)

Penny and Simon are both logical, stubborn, straight-forward, and recklessly curious. It’s obvious they’ve been best friends for years and have been through a lot together - They have a sibling-like easy closeness, they have in-jokes and No Secrets Pacts and Ranting-About-Baz Quotas and arguments that have been running for years, and Simon quotes Penny all the time which I love. I think they can be very grounding for each other – Penny in her “Well, let’s make a list of the facts” way, and Simon in his “But what does that actually mean” way. I think they’re also both quite unusual people, who wouldn’t have the easiest time making friends otherwise (and Penny acts like she doesn’t care, but if she didn’t have Simon, she really would.) They’re just… so important to each other, it’s lovely.

And obviously, the ultimate destination for Simon and Baz is romantic, but I actually really like the “friends” stage of their enemies-to-friends-lovers journey. The bickering, the fucking with each other, the reluctant admiration, the way they start wanting to defend each other, and of course the point where Simon starts getting cocky enough to properly take the piss out of Baz who’s like… Wait. I am your deadly enemy. You can’t do that. Stop it. But it’s too late.

(And, you know. Obviously the newness/precariousness of it won’t last forever, but not all of this has to go away once they start dating.)

But also… I really want to see Agatha as a fully realised character, because honestly… I still feel like I barely know her. I want to know how she fitted into the Team Chosen One dynamic for those first seven books. (Especially the first five, before she and Simon were dating.) I want to see how she could fit in again, now that they’ve all grown up a bit. (Alternatively, I would very much enjoy seeing a world where they went directly from Team-Chosen-One to Team-Chosen-One-Plus-Baz-For-Some-Reason, either via villain decay or just via Simon and Baz making some very bad and hasty decisions, but I know that wouldn’t end well. But it would be FUN.)

I don’t know what Agatha’s dynamic in a real friendship with any of these three would look like, but there’s definitely potential. She and Simon are both only children who love sports and animals and shitty TV, they grew up together and were close enough to think they were in love, but neither of them has turned out exactly like they were expected to, and I’d love to see them sort of… re-form that bond as their more authentic selves. And Agatha and Baz both have this sharpness to them, they’re both less confident and more introverted than they seem, they’re from incredibly similar backgrounds and both a bit disillusioned with it – they could definitely find common ground once they got past that old suspicion and bitterness. (And I think they’d probably want to, once one of them pointed out to the other that they were still just putting each other in boxes.) And Agatha and Penny… are honestly very different people, but that doesn’t *have* to be a problem. I think they could gain a lot from listening to each other, sharing their different perspectives, and taking an interest in their differences rather than just dismissing them. Basically, even if they disagree a lot, they need to respect each other. Please. Surely it can’t be that hard.

Ultimately, I think Agatha could just be a good balancing addition to the group. We all love Simon & Penny & Baz, but three-person dynamics have this way of always leaving someone out (even if the different members are left out equally often), and having a fourth person there could help that. Have Penny and Baz been debating an obscure part of magical history for almost an hour? Simon and Agatha can roll their eyes at each other and smirk at the old magician’s stupid names. Are Simon and Penny reminiscing about another of their magical woodland adventures? It’s okay, Agatha, Baz hated it too. And Baz will probably back you up when you point out that stepping into a faerie ring with no plan again is a good way to lose a few souls. It just… it could work so well. And I like it when things tie together neatly. I’d love these four to be a proper group.
