6. Show us a bit of a WIP!

From the June chapter of my Year of OTP 2023 (yes, I'm quite a bit behind, but I'll catch up...or not. Whatever - it'll all get written eventually):

The amount of work it took to plan the wedding and reception in the span of five months – and that included working around training schedules and missions and the unplanned fights with those who didn’t really CARE that Captain America and Winter Soldier needed time to pick out a venue, catering, the cake, choose invitations (and send them out!), get fitted for suits, find someone to officiate, and on and on – was sometimes so great that Bucky thought he would go insane.  Steve thought this wedding would be his villain origin story. 

Tony offered several times to fly everyone to Vegas where they wouldn’t have to deal with all the bullshit; just the two grooms, their found family as witnesses, and the entire bill for the time they were there paid for by Tony himself as one of their wedding gifts.  Food, fancy hotel with a lavish honeymoon suite (“We can even book you one with a heart-shaped bed and plenty of toys and gizmos to make your wedding night spectacular!” Tony had offered up.)  Bucky had been tempted by the offer and to just have the planning nightmare over and done with.  Steve put on his most gracious face when he thanked Tony but worried that tacky and flashy and glitzy just weren’t his or Bucky’s style. 

After that, Tony had suggested they could rent a couple of huge buses and traipse over to Atlantic City for the same type of deal.  Might not have the same shows with dancers barely covered in sequins and feathers, but they could have the wedding on the boardwalk, the reception in one of the finer dining establishments, and then party big at one of the hotels with plenty of gambling. 

Even if Steve and Bucky hadn’t scrunched their noses at the idea of New Jersey, Loki remarking that during one of the Avengers’ missions in that state – some really trite and dumbass mission to save a shopping mall of all places from idiot wannabe villains – a couple of assholes made fun of his accent (HIS accent!) by calling it ‘fake’.  So out of loyalty to his boyfriend, Tony nixed New Jersey on the spot. 

13. What's a character or ship you haven't written/drawn yet but would like to some day?

I have a few ships I haven't really played with yet that I'd like to - Loki/Bruce (they were a tiny background ship in a Scott/Logan fic I wrote for @scottxlogan for Yule), Logan/Loki - and for them, I have a fic in mind for the @marvelrarepairbingo I co-mod with Scottxlogan that's based on a Loki artwork she did, Bucky/Emma Frost (again, I have a fic planned/started just barely for them for the MRP bingo), and really weirdly enough, Emma/Logan. There's also Natasha/Steve (have one planned for MRP bingo), Natasha/Tony (no ideas just yet), and Natasha/Bucky (no ideas just yet). I even have one planned for Natasha/Emma.

16. Do people irl know you participate in fandom?

Most of them do, even several of my undergrad and grad school professors. My family does - my family being my sister and brother and his wife. I think most of my non-fandom friends know as well - or have figured it out by now. A few have even read some of my fanfics.

Give me a character and I will answer: Dazzler!

Thanks for giving me a chance to rant about my fave Badass Diva, babe! Others feel free to send in a name and choose particular things

Why I like them: I really loved how tenacious and driven she was to reach her personal goals and doesnt like to compromise on that but she's still such a caring person that she cant help but jump in to help or save people as a hero, even tho she continually said she didnt wanna be a hero. Just her compassion for people in general, even who I wouldnt think deserve her compassion: 

Her first thought in both instances with her stalker, Karl Fredricks (Dazzler #26 & Uncanny X-Men ‘63 #260), is to reason with him and try to keep him from getting hurt. Also when battling him one of her main concerns is him hurting anyone else before she thinks of him hurting her.

Why I don't: There arent really points about her I don't like. I guess my biggest gripes are that writers tend to relegate her to a gimmick cameo character more often than not and miss opportunities to showcase her immense powerset range and the deep connections she has with a large portion of the not just other X-Men characters but the other marvel heroes as well. 

Also just the original fact the editors didnt allow her to be based on Grace Jones, like John Romita Jr. intended. It would've been noce to have another dark skinned Black woman hero, with star power outside of Ororo Munroe. And gosh the way they probably couldve bonded and had eachother to lean on. There's just so many "what ifs" that woulda probs changed not only Ali's trajectory but the Xmen/Marvel universe at large. But I still love Ali as she is now too. 

Favorite scene (imma do arc): The "What If" arc of Ali as Galactus' long time herald. The way she found away to discover new planets for him to devour but made sure that they didnt have sentient life that'd be destoryed in that consumption! Ugh says so much about her character!! Also that in her time as his herald he grew compassionate to the plights of other beings, seemingly. Because of her leading by example and what not. It's just soooo good and what I want more of in stories starring her. 🥹

Favorite season/movie (portrayal): My rp days version 😏 --But for real, she's only been in a couple adaptations and I dont know if any do her justice. I havent fully watched the episodes of them in the Outback but yeah

In general: Ali and "The Loves" polymonogomous rp ship of Ali with Wade Wilson, Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes (and not just saying that cause Koi wrote them and also sent this ask! Truly got to explore so much of Ali's character through those interactions and forever grateful 🥹 -also key piece of opening my mind to poly relationship dynamics tbh)

In canon: Ali x music -Her first and most consistent love and relationship 

BroTP: 

In general-- Ali and Julio "Rictor" Richter, another rp exploration with the lovely @myvalentina Ric's technically Ali's, son-in-law but through lots of interdimensional travel hyjinks and stuff. I never know what canon ages truly are but I feel like Ali is less than 10 years his senior and so she's like a big sister and friend to him and it's just really wholesome

In canon-- Ali and Longshot, they've been through so much and if im not mistaken, literally share pieces of eachothers' souls and while things never work out romantically with them in all the times they get back together, I just love the idea of them still being besties regardless

Headcanon:

Gives amazing hugs, doesn't let go till the other person starts to pull away. Read somewhere once about being this way with kids cause you never know how little someone gets of contact and how they might need that physical reassurance.

Unpopular opinion:

Prefacing that to each their own and no hate to other people's preferences 🙏🏽 

Personally I don't wanna see Queen B or Taylor S. portray Dazzler in any future media

While Dazzler had global reach and star power in her prime within the Marvel universe, I just would love others to portray her. My top pick was and always will be Kylie Minogue, but that ship has probs sailed, so more contemporary picks are Janelle Monáe, JoJo, Kesha or Zara Larsson

A wish: She gets to be in some arcs where the writers truly understand her and let her shine fully--iving on top that it happens with an artists that stays true to her strawberry blonde haircolor

And now, some warnings! Brock is a villain, and I will be writing him as such. Even when he’s not actively being a villain, his interactions tend to be manipulative, abusive, and problematic af. This blog will feature content such as murder, torture, manipulation, gaslighting, abusive relationships, and some hit or miss loyalty to Hydra and/or Red Skull. If you’re not comfortable with those, that’s perfectly fine, but this isn’t the muse for you. I will check with you before anything major so we can better plot things out. Likewise, if you prefer to plot Brock’s death, I’m happy to work with you on that. Being a villain has consequences, but communication is key.

Please note that I do not write Hydra Trash Party, but I don't care if you choose to. I'm not into non-con, nor is Brock (for more on that, see my headcanons on Brock as a handler). However, my blogs are emphatically anti-censorship. If you don't understand the line between reality and fiction, we're not a good match.

I’m happy to write Brock into AUs and fandom crossovers, but for ease, I typically write him in one of the following two verses.

mcu: An MCU-only verse where Brock joins the military at eighteen and works his way to Commander on a Navy SEALS team. He's in black ops when he's recruited by Hydra and sent to infiltrate SHIELD. I'm happy to pick up anywhere in this timeline, from his early days with SHIELD to his post-Hydra vengeance streak after Cap drops a building on him. If there's a redemption arc for Brock, it usually takes place in this verse.

616: A blend of MCU, comics, and headcanon where Crossbones was trained at Taskmaster's school for criminals before pledging loyalty to Red Skull during WWII, where he was given some version of the super soldier serum. He's fought for various organizations and villains over the decades before infiltrating SHIELD as a Hydra agent, where his timeline crosses over with the MCU. Brock is an unrepentant villain in this verse, and he's not interested in redemption.

I'm happy to write these, but since they're more specific AUs, I don't default on them for asks/memes.

running on empty: Same beginning as 616, but where Brock defects from Hydra at some point well before Insight for various reasons. He spends decades living on the run and fighting back at Hydra, is recaptured and tortured (where he receives the extensive scarring he has in the MCU), and escapes again to continue the fight.

hydra!verse: Insight is successful, and Hydra is able to take out all or most of their targets at once. Brock is promoted, and Hydra is on the verge of world domination, with only a few rebels left to fight back.

hydra!world: Earth-85826, where fascist dictator Armin Zola rules the world with Hydra.

Peter always waits for you to fall asleep first. Okay maybe not always. Most of the time he stays awake, but the nights when he’s exhausted from fighting crime, he can’t help but fall asleep; head propped on your lap, while you’re absentmindedly running your fingers through his brown locks. 

Peter Maximoff - You

Honestly neither. Neither of you truly stay up waiting for the other to fall asleep first. If anything you two fall asleep at the same time; cuddled together all warm, while your breaths intermingle, synchronizing with one another. You don’t mind and neither does he, as long as you are both together you know everything will be all right. 

Bucky Barnes - You

Okay Bucky would definitely be the one to wait for you to fall asleep first, but you would eventually pick up on this realizing that not once has he fallen asleep before you. Thus started the trial of you trying to outlast him in staying awake, this would be unsuccessful of course. But, what you don’t know is that Bucky does this because he feels some sort of need to protect you, and he doesn’t feel right going to sleep until knowing you are one hundred percent safe. Once knowing you’re all good, he can close his eyes in peace, allowing his heart to relax and mind thankful that he has you.

Loki - You

Loki only pretends to be asleep, until you actually fall asleep. After you’ve fallen asleep, his eyes would open and he’d look down at you, curled up against him, and wonder how he’d gotten with someone just as special as you, thoughts may run through his head, of whether this love will last, but he’ll be quick to push his thoughts away, choosing to just enjoy this moment before actually falling asleep himself.  

Druig - You

It’s not like Druig would try to wait for you to fall asleep, that’s just how it would always end up, but he didn’t mind. He’d take the time to make sure you were fully warm and covered underneath the blankets, before taking the time to stop and admire your beauty. Sure to anyone that could’ve been slightly corny, but Druig had no shame in that and he’d be sure to tell you exactly that when you woke up.

This might not be the place to ask this but here goes. I’m new to the stucky fandom and have been devouring fics over the last few months and everyone is sooo talented! I try to avoid tropes I don’t like obviously, but there is one thing I’m having a hard time escaping because it seems like it’s everywhere and I’m trying to understand why. It’s fics were Peggy is as important to Steve romantically (or sometimes even more important) as Bucky. Now this might seem like a small thing, but I hate reading my otp more into other people as I feel it diminishes their love and Bucky becomes second best or just the one who happens to still be alive for Steve to be with. I even read fics were Peggy knew for decades that Bucky was being tortured and didn’t tell Steve, but Steve forgave her in a second and said he didn’t regret his life and marriage with her at all and I’m so confused. I do not want Peggy to be treated badly obviously, but I don’t get why so many author’s insist on keeping her relationship with Steve as this holy grail and why she is seen as the ultimate prize for him, even if he ends up with Bucky. Isn’t that what canon and Steve/Peggy fics are for? I can’t count how many times I’ve read that Steve loves Peggy just as much as Bucky and sometimes Bucky has to stand by and let Steve be with Peggy at the same time as him too. Peggy rarely has any flaws and if they write her as a horrible person the other characters still dote one her for some reason. Bucky is seldom allowed any meaningful romantic connections outside of Steve though. Can anyone explain why Stucky fandom is so into Peggy/Steve? Usually I feel fandoms treat the canon relationships with respect, but not like it’s a crime to make them friends istead, or to let them not be as in love as the fic otp. Sorry for the long ask. I do want to emphasize again that I don’t think Peggy should be treated/written badly, and I understand why some want to include her relationship with Steve as an important part of his past. The part I don’t get is why so many choose to write Stucky fics where Steve is as in love with Peggy (or more) than he is with Bucky.

Hi love! Thank you for your message! I'm sorry this is something that's been bothering you so much. This is very interesting though, because this hasn't been my experience at all. It would never even occur to me personally to say that the Stucky fandom is 'so into Steggy', because as far as I'm aware, it's not.

I'm going to put the rest of my reply under the keep reading tag, because it's long!

You say that it might seem like a small thing, but believe me: as someone who is extremely loyal to their OTP (we're talking crying when I even so much as see something Steggy or St*ny or S*mbucky related), I very much understand why this would bother you!

With one exception, I personally can't read Steggy at all. I've been reading Stucky fic for over four years now, and what you're describing isn't something I've come across a lot, let alone all the time. There are a lot of tropes and things that consistently bother me in Stucky fic, so if this was something I stumbled upon a lot, I'd be aware of it 😅 Of course, I've found a few fics like that by accident, and I know there is a part of the fandom that's also into Steggy (and that there's a Steggy fandom that's sometimes also into Stucky), but Peggy being as much (or more) the love of Steve's life? That's not a leading theme or consistently recurring trope in the Stucky fanfiction that I'm aware of.

Let me just say, for the record, that Not Easily Conquered, is an exception for me. That fic is just in its own, separate league from other Stucky fanfiction, as far as I'm concerned. It's a fic I wouldn't have chosen to read if the writing and 'Stucky' of it hadn't come highly recommended to me, and had it been any other fic, that amount of Steggy and that kind of relationship & devotion between Steve and Peggy would have been a huge no no. I'm gathering from your ask that you've read it too, and that it wasn't to your taste, and that's understandable. Again, had it been any other fic, I would have passed on it too, for the same reasons you mention. But somehow, NEC touched me on a level very few other fics or even pieces of fiction in general ever have, and as such, it is the exception to the rule for me.

NEC aside though, I haven't read (m)any Stucky fics that feature Peggy as a (past or current) love interest of Steve's in years, and I don't even make much of an effort to avoid it. A few things are coming to mind that might be relevant here, though: how you're finding your fic, the era in which the fic is set, and whether the fic has been written pre- or post-Endgame.

I rarely search AO3 to find new Stucky fic to read anymore. I find most fic recs through the Stucky fandom here on Tumblr, or through collections of Stucky bangs and challenges, and pretty much none of the currently active Stucky shippers are even remotely into Steggy 😅 So that might partially explain why I don't come across it a lot!

Also, these days I personally tend to read mostly post-TWS recovery fics, pre-war fics, Wakanda, fics, and AUs. However, I used to read much more wartime and post-Battle of New York fic, back when I was new to the fandom, and both of those tended to feature Peggy more heavily (which makes sense, of course). I don't know if that might be the case for you too, maybe?

I also think that before Endgame, a lot of people were less bothered by and/or more taken by Steve and Peggy's "romance". I'm deliberately using quotation marks there, because I personally don't believe Steve and Peggy's canon relationship was anything more than a passing infatuation at most. I'm even of the opinion Steve merely admired Peggy and was never all that romantically interested in her, but I know canon obviously wants us to think otherwise. But while I don't blame people for seeing something romantic there, I always bristle when I see people calling it 'a tragic romance'.

The war was tragic. What happened to Steve (and to Bucky) was tragic. Steve and Peggy not getting to go on their first (!) "date" was tough luck at worst, imo. And while it's admittedly sad that when Steve woke up from the ice, she was (ostensibly) the only one left alive who Steve knew from before, and then she died anyway, Peggy died from old age after having lived a long, fulfilled life. So again, not something I'd call tragic. But I know opinions differ on this and that's fine, but yeah, that's how I personally view Steggy. They had a connection, but it didn't even come close to what Steve and Bucky have.

Anyways, my point is that I can see why Stucky shippers used to feel less bothered by Steggy before Endgame, because I did too, and that might explain why that relationship was featured more often in earlier Stucky fic (I'm positive Stucky fandom in general feels massively different towards Steggy post-Endgame). I can also understand how people might feel like one can love more than one person in this life, but in the few fics I've read that featured Steggy, I did always feel like it was still Steve and Bucky's relationship that was portrayed as the more profound and more meaningful of the two. Stucky was 'endgame', so to speak (ugh).

Of course, there are also people who just ship both 🤷🏻‍♀️ Stucky is a very mainstream ship, in as far as shipping can ever be mainstream, which means that there are also a lot of people who ship Stucky superficially, while also shipping other (often het) ships at the same time (There is a lot of reader insert fic in this fandom too, either of reader with Steve or Bucky, or with Stucky). This, again, might have something to do with why you feel there are relatively many Stucky fics that feature Steggy in this fandom.

I think there's more to say on the subject, but I've already rambled on long enough lol! I don't know if any of this helps to answer your question, because my experience has been so different from yours, but I do hope it's useful to you in some way! ❤️

1. What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get? Winterspider. I can see Peter hero-crushing over Bucky, and Bucky being sort of bemused and flattered, but Peter is a teenager and adult Bucky would never. Aside from the fact they have almost nothing in common experience-wise (and Bucky has supertanker-sized buckets of trauma) Bucky wants a man, not a kid who can't even buy a beer. (TBH, shipping Peter with any adult freaks me the fuck out, sorry. I get why people do it, but it squicks me hardcore.)

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP? I really don't like reading Winterwidow. I know Bucky and Nat are a canon love affair in the comics (which I don't read), but if I'm gonna imagine any woman in Bucky Barnes' bed, it's gonna be me.

7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now? When I first jumped in less than a year ago, I was enjoying a fic that DID-style separated the Winter Soldier and Bucky, and heavily woobied TWS persona. Now I'll whump the ever-living fuck out of the Soldier and adore him traumatized to the point of barely functioning, but I don't like reading him infantilized or having other characters woobie him. And I think having a dissociated identity Bucky has to be done with careful nuance now that I'm a *cough* discerning reader. *nose in the air, lol*

9. Most disliked character(s)? Why? It's a toss-up between Tony Stark and Peggy Carter. I've explained my Tony hatred elsewhere. Peggy employed and worked beside Armin Zola knowing that he experimented on and tortured Bucky. You can't tell me that a smart, driven woman at the head of her own spy ring didn't have some inkling that the Winter Soldier project was going on and couldn't put two-and-two together.

10. Most disliked arc? Why? FUCK. YOU. ENDGAME-STEVEN. No explanation needed. 11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why? I'm with the rest of the trash squad in celebrating the Karpov renaissance! I don't think he's popular outside of our little circle and it's a shame. His bond with the Winter Soldier makes him a great character to explore. He kept the code book, which indicates deliberate sabotage of the American team when they came to claim his weapon after the fall of the USSR. Or maybe he just wanted to keep the only piece of the Soldier he could lay claim to. 12. Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why? I mean, if you count "the fandom" as the wider group beyond HTP, than probably all the trash I adore would fit here. 17. Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen… Oooooooh, boy. Um. I would rewrite Bucky's storyline in TFATWS. I would make his therapist explicitly a HYDRA sleeper agent employed by T. Ross to keep Bucky guilt-ridden and isolated so that he feels compelled to become the gov't's asset. John Walker would be groomed to be Bucky's new handler (blond, blue-eyed, Captain America). The fight against the Flagsmashers would start as a simple investigation into the super-serum that evolves into a world-spanning plot to destabilize countries just starting to get back on their feet after the second Snap, with the HYDRA-owned GRC poised to swoop in and seize full power. Bucky would be manipulated by judicious exposure of his trash past into serving HYDRA again only to be revealed in the climax as having manipulated them so that he could get close enough to the bad guy leaders to take them down. There'd be a truly vicious fight that calls upon every ounce of his deadly skill and capabilities so that he finally sees that while he may still be a weapon, he can aim himself now and fight for a cause he believes in. And then Steve would come back from the moon and they'd fuck onscreen. 19. What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom? Antis and purity police. Just let me enjoy my trash porn in peace, asshats. I guess the second thing would be the actual MCU writers, who managed to take vibrant characters and a strong narrative arc and no homo them into utter ruin and ooc behavior.

Ohhh... I hope I don't get stoned (lol) for this *crosses fingers* but I figure most of my followers are stuckies, so... I don't really get stony? Like... I understand they're more of a thing in the comics and Steve marries a female Tony Stark, and even in Avengers Assemble they are much better friends who actually trust each other, but MCU stony? Who only ever managed to grudgingly work together and in the end couldn't even manage that? But I guess I can understand the whole enemies to lovers appeal 😅??

3. Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?

Absolutely 😂 I was following this person for months, don't remember why, I think initially for captain america stuff, and all of a sudden they started posting pro-endgame steggy gifsets and I unfollowed immediately. Did not want that on my dash 😅

25. How would you end XXX/Would you change the ending of XXX

Ohhhh how would I end Endgame? I've read a lot of good metas and a lot of good alt-ending Endgame fics and there are a lot of things I would change--

- Natasha lives, Clint never becomes a mass murderer, Thor doesn't get shamed for gaining weight and having PTSD Tony actually realizes he was wrong about Ultron, no professor Hulk

- I would have Steve confront the Red Skull and throw him off the cliff. Bonus if it’s after he needles Steve about Bucky being missing

- I would actually have the six remaining Avengers use the six infinity stones for symbolism reasons, and not have all of them in one gauntlet. And as a bonus, I'd have all their friends backing them up (eg. Bucky and Sam and Wanda backing up Steve while he uses the Space stone, for instance). (Because what the hell did the GOTG teamwork sequence with the power stone mean in the end if they weren't going to use that again??)

- If the stones HAVE to be in one gauntlet, then I would choose someone who makes sense to use it-- like Thor or Captain Marvel

- No snapping 4 billion humans and however many other trillions of life forms back into existence and causing an ecological disaster. Make it so that the Snap never happened at all.

- Give Steve, Bucky, and Sam an actually emotionally satisfying reunion and also give stucky a wedding on the battlefield

- Steve retires in the present so he can try out some of that life Tony was talking about. Maybe he starts drawing again. He's roommates or at least keeps in touch with Bucky. They go on a roadtrip to the Grand Canyon before Bucky starts his mission to help the lives Hydra ruined, with Sam as the new Captain America.

do I like them:

Yes. A lot. MCU and comics.

5 good qualities:

He's kind, compassionate.

He's really intelligent, both in an intellectual way and an emotional way

He's great with animals

He's charming, good with people

He's good at his job. Both jobs. Seriously, he's a badass.

(Bonus) he's pretty

3 bad qualities:

I think he overthinks things sometimes. Like, he's so concerned about how his decisions reflect on him that it's causing more pain than it's worth. That said, I think it's good that he cares.

It's okay to just say what you want, Sammy. It's okay to want things, to not want things. Just tell people how you feel.

Ugh... trying.. to... think... of... flaws... OK so one of Sam's biggest character conflicts is this thing where his commitment to non-violence comes up against his earnest desire for change. This happens in the comics and in tfatws. And this isn't really a flaw per se, it's good that he's all about harm reduction prefers peaceful solutions and I think to some extent there will always be some inherent conflict here. But I would love to see him do a bit more to actually fight the system in his own way. As it stands, a lot of these stories present it as a choice between unnecessary violence and doing literally nothing. I know that the comics code had a massive impact on the old stories but what's the excuse nowadays? Let Sam oppose the government more, as a treat.

favourite episode/etc:

MCU: I think "The World is Watching" is really revealing about Sam's character. We see how he feels about Karli and her mission, we see how would like to have dealt with this if it had been up to him and we get more of his actual beliefs and perspective. Like, the show's not perfect by any means, but it's got some great details in there.

Comics: I'm still relatively early on in my disorganised read through for Sam in the comics. But I will say I enjoyed him being chased by a sentinel and getting increasingly frustrated about it lol.

otp:

Bucky. Sam works well with a lot of characters (I'm partial to a bit of SamSharon myself) but Sambucky owns me. For the mcu at least. In the comics I prefer Sam with Misty or Steve.

Sarah. Is it against the rules if he's her literal bro?

I want to see more of his relationship with Rhodey - their argument in Civil War is one of the most interesting parts of the film - and I'm looking forward to seeing more of Sam and Joaquin interacting in the next film.

Comicswise, Sam and Sharon's friendship is honestly great.

Comics: I choose to ignore the retcon about his powers. He's a mutant in my mind or at the very least he was born with powers rather than the nazi stuff.

Related, in earlier comics his powers aren't strictly bird themed. He gets hunches about the near future and dreams about Steve being in danger. He's a telepath, basically. With empathic and some pre-cognitive abilities. I like this. I wish they'd bring it back, but for now I'll just headcanon that he has these powers too.

MCU: Gideon exists and lives in Harlem. I wrote a fic that has a bunch of their relationship in it, but basically I think they're not that close, but they do love each other a lot.

MCU: Leila Taylor also exists. Technically Karli ended up doing a lot of the same work Leila does in Sam's story (I.e. the political radical who he mostly agrees with but nonetheless she challenges his choices), but this isn't a screenwriting class, it's a headcanon. Leila was Sam's girlfriend in college. She had a massive influence on how he sees the world, especially politically. They didn't break up so much as fizzle out, but they still think fondly of each other.

4.  Spends WAY too much time in the snack aisle while grocery shopping

Peter Parker - You

Peter would spend way too much time, but only because he’d be stuck trying to figure out which snack you’d like the most. So he’d probably be torn between a couple multiple items. In order to pick the right thing, he’d subtly text you questions, “random, but do you like salty or sweet?” “Chewy, soft?” It’s hard not to catch on to what he’s doing and eventually you just tell him yourself what your favorite snack is. 

Peter Maximoff - You

His super speed helps him in these types of things, so he doesn’t really need to spend much time in the snack aisle. But he’d still go to the snack aisle way more times than you, so technically he would  be spending more time there, but he still doesn’t spend WAY too much time. If you were shopping together he’d rush to the snack aisle and come back with maybe too many snacks, to which you’d have to put your foot down and remind him that you don’t need that many items. He’ll put some back but in the end you’d still end up with more treats than needed. 

Bucky Barnes - You

Bucky Barnes would be stuck in the snack aisle, he typically isn’t, but after deciding to try new things he’d be stuck between buying; what he usually buys, or trying something new in the snack aisle. You settle his issue though, offering that he buys what he usually buys while you get the new snack, and you two can share it. 

Loki - You

Loki finds grocery shopping sort of boring, you’ll eventually lose him in one of the aisles, but figure he’s fine. After getting most of what you need, you’ll find him in the snack aisle reading the backs of some of the snacks. When you walk up to him you hear him reading the ingredients, and mumbling to himself how this explains why humans were always weaker compared to Asgardians. You’d chime in, reaching for your own favorite snack, and tell him he’ll eat his words after trying these. 

Druig - You

Druig typically knows what he likes, or just scans the aisle before choosing something, so I don’t think he’d be the type to waste time browsing in the snack aisle. If anything he would be the type to sort of get bored and wander around the store and eventually he’d find you in the snack aisle. You’d be scanning the aisle trying to look for what you were currently craving, and there would come Druig, already waving your favorite snack in hand.
