Dethentines 2024 Day 1: "OTP after Army of the Doomstar"

REJOICE it is complete. This is the first kiss the two share after a slow burn spanning the entire series. I put so much love into representing emotions through the colors and the purpose behind all the flowers, there’s so much to them that I am yet to depict.

Some details about the flowers:

the bleeding hearts (upper left) represent unconditional love.

red roses obviously mean passion.

pink camellia mean longing for someone.

the yellow primrose is also the sacred flower of the norse god of love, Freya, it symbolizes resurrection and being unable to live without that person.

the purple anenome are protection from evil. they appear in the love story of Venus and Adonis, some versions are grown from her tears as she cried over his body, and another version is its growth from his seeping blood. Murderface plays the role of Adonis because he doesnt realize that Venus loves him beyond the flesh, and Skwisgaar as Venus is yet to confess.

I hope you all like it, I took more time than I'd anticipated, but Skwisface is extremely special to me and I wanted to make something just as big.

Currently Reading: Allen Ginsberg's A Supermarket in California. It's for class. I hate poetry, but I have to do it for my grade. I also have to read a bunch of other poems. Gosh, I hate poems. I don't know what my professor wants me to interpret from poems because it feels like he wants a "right answer" but my answer is that "it was a poem and it did things."

Currently Watching: I don't watch TV. Or movies. The last thing I watched was the first Twilight for the first time! I wish I sparkled in the sunlight.

Currently Consuming: Nothing ATM, but me and a friend went to a bakery and I got her a whoopie pie! So yay for her! We also got coffee before that, and it was delicious.

How do I feel about this character:

There’s not enough of him! He deserved way more! So if you don’t know this is the son of Eugene “Skull” Skullovitch. In the show he was…I wanna say as old as the rangers so mid to late teens. This retroactively makes his dad from MMPR a teen father. Kind of a doofus and I loved him for it. He just seemed like a really sweet character and it’s a shame we haven’t seen him since. I wanna know how he’s doing guys. Kid’s a pure cinnamon roll in love with the pink ranger. I adore this guy I have fics for this guy and an entire LIST I’m working on of his partners (well ok-I’m working on individual lists for them and he’s on a lot of them but you know, semantics) I ship him with and hypothetical kids. I’m doing this for a bunch of power ranger characters for funsies but yea, lol. A headcanon fact:

This is…an odd one but my friend @augment-techs and I came up with the idea he’s a putty hybrid. Rita Repulsa decided to do human experimentation and chose Skull to kidnap and do the experiments on. Through her meddling he…gives birth to a human-putty hybrid and names it Spike and that’s how his son is born! Very VERY not canon but it’s been fun playing with.

A more mundane “for every version of this character” fact is: he hates chewing gum and sweet things in general. Is not a sweet tooth. This is not going to happen. Prefers savory things over sweet things. Sugar makes him gag. He’ll eat it if someone gives him something sweet because he doesn’t want them to feel bad but..no he’s not a fan.

i've decided to redo this post itself every time i want to make a new intro instead of making a new post :)

hi everyone, i'm tas, and i post a lot of hp stuff

note: everything in bold is either a favorite of mine or something important

hey everyone :) you can call me tloui or tas. my pronouns are he/it. i'm aroace. idk if there's much else to say there lol

i don't post about much other than harry potter on here, but i do have other interests (of course). my favorite musical artists are ajr, troye sivan, and tate mcrae. my favorite movies are vengeance (2022) and moneyball. my favorite books are red, white & royal blue, the catcher in the rye, project nought, and this was our pact. i also really like all the riordianverse books (and i do actually reblog things about pjo on a regular basis). lastly, my favorite colors are blue, green, yellow, pink, and red, which you can probably tell from the banner image and dividers i made for this post.

as for what i post myself, it's harry potter. just harry potter. (yk... minus that one tbosas post). i despise both jkr and pretty much all canon events (it was a canon event) so if you ship almost any canon ship, you're probably out of luck here. (i do ship some canon ships [cough cough drastoria and jily cough cough] but i almost never post about them anyway lol)

my favorite character is percy weasley and i post about him a lot. i'm a slytherin percy weasley truther all the way and love perciver (it's one of my otps) so if you ever wanna chat about percy (or penelope, oliver, and marcus) i'm here :)

even though my favorite character is percy, most of my fics & fic ideas are set in the marauders era. i'll also write some next gen stuff occasionally, and while i have a ton of ocs for next gen, the ones i reference most are lucy, skye, and katie (perciver oc kids) and henry and luella (deamus oc kids).

out of all ships, i write jegulus the most. even if it isn't the main ship, it's featured in a lot of my fics & wips

if you stayed - jegulus, complete, general. oneshot, 5k. ★ ↳ regulus leaves his family for good and stays with james and harry while he gets back on his feet in exchange for him looking after harry while james works. regulus is sure james is going to make him leave when the summer ends and harry goes back to school, but this might not be the case after all.

one big family - multi, complete, general. oneshot, 1.3k. ★ ↳ harry celebrates his eleventh birthday with his parents, his sister luna, and their friend neville. a no voldemort au with background jegulus, pandalily, and more :)

not quite bright - penelope clearwater & percy weasley, complete, teen and up. oneshot, 1.8k. ↳ a oneshot with penelope & percy where they're pushed to the sidelines, nobody quite understands them, and the world kinda sucks, but maybe that's ok. basically just queerplatonic (& very neurodivergent coded) penelope/percy.

home at last - jegulus, complete, general. oneshot, 352 words ★ ↳ the ao3 version of this tumblr post i made :) just a fluffy little jegulus microfic about how they got together

as a last note, while i do post almost exclusively harry potter stuff on here, i do make my own stories, and a lot of them. i've only made one post about my original work on here, but i might make more if i feel like it, so i thought i'd add a small section talking about basic bits of my original wips

tsbom - tsbom is the world where i put any character that exists in our world, aka a world without magic or fantasy elements. the characters live across the us, but they're all connected somehow. (this is the universe that my one oc post has come from).

tlotlk + the realms - the realms is the wip as a whole, and tlotlk is the first book, which i'm currently in the process of writing. this series follows a boy as he becomes a knight & falls in love with the prince of the kingdom he's protecting :)

twoa, tcon, ion, & bote - these wips all take place in the same universe, which is also collectively called twoa. this is a universe where gods exist and different human/humanoid people are spread throughout the universe. earth shows up a few times, but isn't the main focus of the series. almost all characters are gods, demigods, or mages, but there are also a few other magical beings & mortals mixed in.

tcor - a story about a girl falling into a world she doesn't belong in with few memories and the knowledge that something is after her. (no it's not horror lol). with the help of a few friends, she's determined to get to the bottom of the mystery and fend off whatever's hunting her down.

beachside - ten kids end up in a replica of their hometown, except they're alone and this version of it is considerably more hostile. just a lot of found family honestly.

these aren't all my wips, but they're the majority of them, as well as the ones i work on the most. while it may not be mentioned in the summaries i gave here, all of them are queer & include romance, usually multiple romances. (i may be aroace, but i write a lot of romance.)

I think that Nobara would be big on remembering the different foods/snacks that Maki likes, and makes an effort pretty much everyday to get her something, whether something she knows she likes or getting something she wants Maki to try! For Maki, I think she would be so attentive to Nobara's fashion and just be walking and see a display of be like "Yes that would look amazing on my girlfriend and she would love it." Either takes a pic and sends it to Nobara or purchases it as a gift when she can.

Hmm maybe Nobara to Maki? I feel like Maki is more likely to tire herself out, and Nobara notices that and she seems like an acts of service girlie to me so she would take the opportunity lmao

It's absolutely Nobara, I think Maki would have the best alcohol tolerance out of the tokyo students, maybe rivaled only by Yuuji. Nobara and Megumi are the lightweights of the group and have to have Yuuji and Maki carry them out every time alkjkjdsljg

30. Your OTP gets to pick out each other’s outfits; what is each wearing?

Oooh I think Maki would pick out something that's pastel but pretty casual? Maybe something like a bigger coat that's yellow or pink, with a basic white shirt and shorts, maybe some docs as well? Nobara is determined to get Maki into a suit lmao, maybe a more casual one that's like a dark purple, but she wants to see Maki dress up and she KNOWS Maki would look amazing in a suit lmao.

Otp questions: Valen and Nathan - part 6

What random everyday object/activity makes them think of each other?

Nathan is reminded of Valen by little house plants, the sound of a gun being loaded, edm with a heavy bass, sleek black cars and expensive black clothes. Valen is reminded of Nathan by the scent of sandalwood, those fancy little Starbucks drinks with a lot of whipped cream, and the color yellow. By the sound of a guitar being played solo somewhere. Also lace, but I'm not going to explain why.

Are they sentimental about gifts they’ve received from each other?

Nathan is. He's also liable to hold on to things in general for a while, so gifts Valen gives him are likely to be around for years if he can manage it. They give him a warm, loved feeling that he holds on to for as long as he can. Valen is sentimental too, but in a slightly different way. He appreciates that Nathan gave him a gift and it makes him very happy, but he sees gifts as signs that he's worth it. Nathan took the time to find something he'd like because Valen matters to him. He's probably even more sentimental than Nathan in that way.

What holidays do they like?

Nathan's a little partial to Halloween; it was one of the holidays that wasn't family oriented, and he could go out being chaotic and get candy. He didn't always get to dress up in anything fancy, but figuring out how to make a costume out of what he had was part of the fun. Valen is pretty indifferent to holidays, although later in life he learns to like Christmas because it's pretty and he finally has family to celebrate with.

How do they feel about Valentine’s day?

Nathan always enjoyed the discount candy after the fact, but it wasn't until well after meeting that both finally got to enjoy it as a holiday for couples. But also, having a set holiday for being romantic and sweet doesn't really work for them, because that's something they like doing for each other anyway. Flowers and gifts aren't out of the norm, and they go on dates fairly often, even years down the line. So really Valentine's day is just... another day. But this time everything is pink and heart shaped.

Grace. But if I ever use it for an OC, I'm not trying to self-insert. It's just a very common name. My mom baby-sat two girls from different families for about eleven years, and their middle names were Grace, as well.

if you put enough effort into your creation your creation comes alive and it’s something to do with the way the internet functions like it’s just some quantum physics coding nonsense woven into the fabric of computer science that you can exploit like mad. it’s like a game exploit but for the entire internet and then some bc it happens offline too. no one knows why it happens, it’s just some quirk of the way humans interact with digital art and the way computers display stuff that allows icons and shapes and sticks to come alive. like how no one knows why the universe is always expanding or what makes a bundle of neurons into a sentient brain, but this one is a hell of our own making <3

maybe it’s due to something with how humans are designed to create and breathe life into our art, and the simulated reality of a computer allows us to satisfy that desire to the extreme degree of literally breathing life into the art? i dunno!

green!!! ngl it’s bc they’re great to draw i have their design down pat and because i love love love shading with pink, and green and pink are opposite colors that go excellent with each other, especially with the design I’ve given green which allows for colors that are bright as hell. also i can project my perfectionism onto them and give them the ability to trust and love and care despite it all, despite purple giving no reason, despite how they’ve been hurt before, despite it all they will trust.
