Chloe and Benny are a duo! I mentioned it before in my other posts abt her, but Chloe is definitely just sort of doing its own thing, and that just happens to cross paths with the Psychonauts a lot. She’ll work with them when she can, and work against them when they try to shove her into a box with all their “rules” and stuff. Benny is her “guy in the chair” and usually stays back at the lab unless she really needs the extra hands on deck.

i really like the idea of its main power being shield!! I didnt really think about the color coordination but youre so right to be honest, and i think it would work really well for her. Aside from her shield ability, she’s not a very naturally powerful psychic. It uses psitanium to grant itself power-ups during battle, and the big robot arm is basically a super-powered gauntlet that it can harness strong psychic energy into, using it for very powerful psi-blasts and the like..

Maloof and Mikhail are similarly not very for-or-against the Psychonauts, but definitely a lot more antagonistic. But theyre pretty much the lowest threat on the list. Maloof is sort of a goofy b-plot type villain, doing “evil” for the sake of “evil”, and Mikhail is just there to make sure Maloof doesn’t blow himself up.

They’re also the “guys” that Lili knows! Like, whenever Raz and his team need some inside info or resources and Lili mentions that she “knows a guy,” Maloof and Mikhail are said guy. Collectively. Raz greatly disapproves of the fact that Lili hasn’t turned these guys into the psychonauts yet, but she thinks that theyre harmless yet useful enough to let them roam free without it backfiring that much.

Elka is. A special case. Probably one of the ones that could be considered the most objectively threatening, but her antagonistic role is much more of an extension of a greater threat to the psychonauts. She’s the “daughter” of a psychic villain, Dorian Doom, who is attempting to use the ability of precognition to make himself some sort of future lord by giving him the ability to manifest potential futures into reality as he seems fit. She’s sort of a henchman/figurehead role, interacting a lot with the Psychonauts as if she were the main brains behind the operation to shield suspicion from him.

She’s definitely given the psychonauts a lot of trouble, but I think as of recently she’s under observation after being taken down during a big fight against the psychonauts. Mayhaps she’s building a trustworthy repertoire by using her foresight to give Raz and his team little helpful hints when they go rush into missions.

She is Definitely building a very trustworthy relationship with Dogen and definitely not trying to get him to let her out of whatever observation chamber/system they have her in. It’s totally cool and normal.

During that time when the original Captain Marvel was in limbo - after Fawcett Comics had ceased publishing in 1953, and before DC Comics licensed the character in 1972 (before eventually purchasing him outright) - DC Comics tried their hand at having a version of Cap battle Superman.

Created by writer Otto Binder (one of the writers for Captain Marvel) and artist Wayne Boring, Zha-Vam was a being formed out of clay by the Greek gods to battle Superman because they believed the Man of Steel to be a rival god.

 Captain Marvel’s magic word “Shazam” was an anagram of the gods and heroes bestowing their powers upon him (Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury).  Zha-Vam’s name was also an anagram for the principal gods that gave him his powers (Zeus, Hercules, Achilles, Vulcan, Apollo and Mercury).

As if that didn’t make him tough enough, Zha-Vam was also outfitted with a belt that endowed him with powers of additional mythological gods and creatures just by touching the letters on his belt.  Those included:

C changed Zha-Vam into a cyclops with a ray beam eye

I gave him the magic bow of Iris

J gave him Jason’s dragon-teeth, which could become warriors or dragons

M would give him the powers of Morpheus (make people sleep) or Mars (war-like abilities)

O was for Orion’s shield, which was impenetrable and could expand faster than Superman could fly

P was for Pluto’s Cap of Darkness, or the Sun Chariot of Phaethon

S gave him the four arms and swords of Shiva (who is by no means a Greek god, but hey this is comics)

T would cause him to grow to 100 feet tall as a Titan; and 

G changed him into a gorgon, with the ability to turn people to stone - a power he totally used on Superman

Needless to say, with all these magic-based powers, Zha-Vam was a tough opponent for Superman.  In fact, he kept defeating Superman and eventually drove the Man of Steel off of Earth.

Superman then travels back in time to learn why the Greek gods created Zha-Vam in the first place.  He then meets with the oracle of the gods to try to figure out a way to defeat Zha-Vam.  The oracle directs Superman to a rival group of gods, who create a belt similar to Zha-Vam’s.  Superman utilizes the belt to finally defeat Zha-Vam.

Superman returns the villain to ancient Greece and confronts the gods with their failure.  The gods revert Zha-Vam back to the clay he was made from (I wonder if that makes him related to Wonder Woman), and Superman returns home.

This three-part trilogy was the one and only time that Zha-Vam battled Superman, perhaps because he so completely overpowered the Man of Steel and it might be difficult to think up a way to defeat him (a complaint many writers have about Superman himself).

Zha-Vam made a reappearance of sorts a year-and-a-half later in Superman (vol. 1) #214.  He, along with the “ghosts” of two other deceased enemies - Metallo and the Composite Superman - bedevil the Metropolis Marvel until he determines that they are not real.  The “ghosts” were illusions created by a young alien who was trying to defeat Superman in order to join a super-team somewhere in space.

This issue marked the final appearance of Zha-Vam.  I guess once DC acquired Captain Marvel they did not think there was any need for the villain again.

🥺- i’ve answered this one but round two: i love Angry Scenes. like absolute breaking point of a character who unleashes it on someone else who deserves it. cathartic and overdue arguments my beloved

✍- i don’t! i usually write, then edit, let it sit for a few days, edit again, edit again in a different word processor, THEN post. i’ve always been too shy to ask people to full on beta my works, so i’ve just gotten super meticulous with editing skfjdjfjfj

🎶- i do! rn my On Loop song is Almost (Sweet Music) by Hozier, but I’m also listening to How to Be a Human Being, the Glass Animals album, a lot because it fits my two current fave OCs perfectly

🍦- i’m. not sure actually. i’m more an angst guy, there are fluffy sweet bits but they’re usually in between OC Trauma bits HCDHSJDJ. Wall Oracle fic is kinda sweet tho, and I do have a few super old Stucky fics written as a teen that are pretty sappy. for original stuff, The Car Story is probably the fluffiest, which is. saying something abt my original work because that story is also so sad

🎃- i used to! in my early fandom days i ADORED holiday fic exchanges, i’d write holiday fics for those and i had a few cause i wanted to. mistletoe is a cute trope :) lately i haven’t been huge on holidays tho, and most of my fandoms rn don’t canonically have earth holidays

🤩- ough. for fanfic, Otto Octavius is so much fun to write, he’s so nuanced and it’s so fun to get into his head. lately i’ve also really enjoyed writing Boromir too. for original characters, Pama and Nan have to be the favss. 🤯- suspense/ horror 😔 honestly, most things outside of fantasy don’t come super naturally to me, hence why even my sci-fi or historical stuff usually has fantasy elements throughout. i try to branch out into other genres often, but horror is so hard to nail for me. it’s kind of why a lot of my stuff has steered into suspenseful things (fearplay fics, TBMP, Sighn and Eon’s story), it’s all me trying to practice!
