Recently every time there’s a new event or whatever in the games I play, instead of being happy for new content, my first though is always “ugh”

I still play them but it’s just so tiring! Heroes should be great bc there’s always something going on, but at the same time it’s just tiring having to play battles and battles. Like there’s always tempest trials, forging bonds, and then pawns of Loki, mjolnir’s strike, hall of forms, or other stuff that’s not too often but still often like gran conquest, and heroes journey and rokkr and lost lore and voting gauntlets and whatever those other games modes are called. Besides the limited hero battles and grand/bound hero battles and arena and aether raids and lord.

I know I should be happy there’s so much content! Still strong after 4? Years (idk) But it’s annoying for me. Fortunately most of it can be auto battled, but then there’s no more joy about building units. I’ve played Heroes since it launched but I’m honestly so tired and the only reason I continue is bc I want to build all the awakening units (plus a few other characters from other games) and ngl just to see how the story develops even if it’s pretty dumb.

In tw/st there’s not always stuff to do other than lessons, so I feel I should be happy about new events but they tire me too! Even the ‘practicing Japanese’ that I did at the start tire me too! The last few events I just skipped all the story w/o trying to read anything and later I just read summaries. I do still play for like 4-5 characters and their interactions but that’s basically it. Knowing that the new event starts later doesn’t make me that happy ;; it just makes me feel tired already (tho I def want to get new cards)

And pfft T/ourabu is even worst bc I don’t even play almost at all anymore. Only when the characters I like get new kiwames and sometimes if the new swords look interesting (or are Awataguchi) but ehhh TR has such bad rates that it’s sometimes impossible to try! I really haven’t recovered from those times over a year ago! (Heroes has the best rates and tw has somewhat not that bad)

Not to mention the other games I definitely dropped (gr//and order and food fa//ntasy) and most likely I won’t try again.

I love the games and their characters but I really don’t feel joy playing anymore ;;

#I guess I still feel joy when i receive a jpg of a character I like #that still brings me happiness #but god. i remmeber staying until 3am to read ch4 and ch5. and fairy gala and those other events #but now??? i read ch6 weeks later #i havent received n(y)ansen back either!! #anyway I’ve spent money on these three though fortunately not a lot #and honestly I don’t think I will ever again. it’s just #okay sure I’ve enjoyed them and they brought me happiness at some point but it’s not worth it #I’ll rather get merch or something more tangible #((there’s a new mjolnirs strike tomorrow and I don’t wanna play it already ;;) #aidé.txt

I think characters need to be flawed, in order to have space to grow (or not), and therein lies half the story, and the satisfying internal journey of the narrative. p.s. Table Mountain by night, especially if it’s lit up, makes for an amazing backdrop
