LAST and POV
Ooooh. Alrighty. I’ll do this from my favorite WIP at the moment called Everything’s Changing - part of it is already up on AO3, but I’m writing as I go. :)
To give you a little context, this story was supposed to be Daisy finding out she’s pregnant after a one-night stand and then moving in with retired Philinda while she’s on maternity leave. And then my brain said “Why not have a Philinda baby, too?” So here we are. Anyway, now on to your ask :)
For LAST:
“Ok, let’s go ladies!” It was one of his rare days off work, and Phil had insisted it was time they needed to go shopping for cribs and furniture for the nursery.
Daisy had to admit, he was probably right; they didn’t have very much time left before she had her baby after all.
For POV this scene was originally from a phone call from Daisy’s POV in chapter one of this fic. Here it is from May’s POV on the other end of the line. And this got away from me a little bit and is longer than I intended. Whoops.:
“Phil, we’re not hanging that there!” May said in frustration.
Coulson looked offended. “You don’t like my signed and framed first edition Captain America comic books?”
“I do, but not as the focal point of the living room.” She loved the man, but he had no design skill, and their taste in decor differed greatly.
He moved to another part of the wall, closer to the entrance to the kitchen. “What about over here?”
Melinda was about to veto that spot too, when Coulson’s cell phone rang.
“Saved by the proverbial bell, Phil,” she mumbled under her breath. Checking the phone, she saw a familiar name and decided to answer. “Daisy.”
The line was silent except for a few ragged breaths she could barely hear. Something was wrong.
“Daisy? Are you ok?” she asked softly.
The younger agent finally answered, but Melinda could tell she had been crying. “Can I come stay with you guys for a few days?”
“Who’re you talking to, Mel?” Phil asked quietly.
She shot him a worried look before addressing Daisy. “ Of course, Dais. Do you want us to come get you? We can be there first thing in the morning,” she said in what she hoped was a reassuring manner.
A half strangled “Mmhmm,” was all Daisy managed to say in response.
No, they needed to go get Daisy tonight. Something was very wrong if she was this upset.
May covered the bottom of the phone with her hand and turned to Phil who looked as worried as she felt.
“What’s wrong with Daisy?”
“I’m not sure, but she needs us. Tonight.” Melinda hadn’t heard Daisy sound like this since that first stretch of time after Lincoln died, and it worried her to hear Daisy in this state once again. Especially without not knowing what had caused this.
“Well let’s go get her.” And with that simple statement, he was already headed to grab their jackets and the car keys.
May quickly turned her attention back to Daisy. “Never mind, we are leaving now. We will see you in about two hours. Can you be ready?”
Daisy sniffed again and Melinda heard another soft “mmhmm,” to confirm Daisy would be expecting them.
“Good. We’ll see you soon.” After hanging up, Melinda couldn’t help but worry even more about Daisy.

I’ve reached that point in plotting/writing for Vam Lin that I just want to scream at someone about the big reveal but...that would mean spoiling the entire book, and I want to see if said big reveal works in the context of the whole story.
Of course that means I have to write the dang thing, but that’s not going to be a problem, given the chaotic Gryffindor energy Rowan brings to everything she does.
Jinhai’s face coheres out of darkness, his mouth open and his eyes shocked wide. My free hand is around his throat.
"You," I say, freezing with my axe in the middle of its downward arc. "Jinhai?"
"Rowan?" If I hadn't come within a foot of splitting his face in half, I'd laugh at how absolutely gobsmacked he is. And of course even that looks good on him. "What are you…uh. Hm. I should…explain?"
I really should not be staring at him with my head lit up like the solstice, all my cohort's concern bearing down on me at once. I send back that I'm fine, without explaining further, because at the present moment I am becoming extremely aware of how we landed with him pinned beneath me, hips trapped by my thighs.
"Yeah." I holster my axe but don't move my hand, or any other part of me. "An explanation would be nice. What are you doing out here?"
He licks his lips. I make the mistake of focusing on his face, and get to watch as his eyes track slowly down to the pulse jumping in my neck. "Investigating," he says, in a strangled voice that I'm fairly sure has little to do with the hand I've got clamped around his throat. "My instruments showed…oh, Holly. Hello."
"Hi?" Holly appears five feet away, hands hooked into claws, both sets of fangs extended. "Um. Wow. She's fine! Great, actually."
"For fuck's sake, she'd better  —" Mel rounds the corner, panting, and comes up short just behind Holly. "Holy shit."
I roll off Jinhai to crouch beside him, though not fast enough to avoid giving Matthias an eyeful when he catches up. "It's not what it looks like," I say, which is exactly the wrong thing to say to your best friends, who are extremely aware of how you feel about the vampire you were just sitting on. "I wasn't going to kill him," I add, which I think saves the situation nicely.
Mel opens and closes her mouth several times without saying anything. Matthias is looking anywhere but at me, and Holly is smiling like someone just bought her a library.
"Really," says Mel, after several long moments where no one moves. Even Jinhai stays sprawled in the road, his mouth doing a lot of complicated things that better not be a smile.
