I like to try to catch that time in between dinner and dark to sing and play outside, record videos, etc. Sometime after the sounds of the street have died down, after the birds have started to take over, and before the mosquitos do. It wasn't exactly sunset this time, in fact I barely managed to squeeze this in before nightfall, but it turned out kinda sombre to match the tune. This is a new idea I've been working on, or rather trying to stay out of the way of. It's happening to me more and more as a songwriter: I'll come up with something that I'm not necessarily thrilled with, but if I leave the seed alone long enough to flower into its own entity (ie beginning, middle, end//independence enough to feel like it has nothing to do with me anymore), then (and only then?) it has potential to become something quite beautiful. The trick it seems, if natural-ness and authenticity are your goals, is to not f*ck with it too much! ⚙️

A four-men concept venture of @temjenkiso @the3rd_born @arennungsang & @arong_imsong , a collective of freelance promoters and producers based in Kohima, Nagaland.   Soundsettler is an artist promoting platform dedicated to filming and recording live sessions, stripped down podcasts, and curating live events, an exhibition of mini documentaries involving the artists, the songs, and their stories.   "We at Soundsettler, we hold a concrete believe in the close and parallel proximity between the two pro elements of an artist- the song, and the story. Therefore, with our first activity from the board; running under it’s brand "Live From The Woods", which technically is a live recording session, we intend to bring forth the up-close experience of listening to an intimate story of the artist, and not just the songs. Through this small concept venture, or an idea of contribution, if we might, we desperately wish for the viewers and listeners to deeply understand and feel the artists from where they are coming from and where these songs are driven out from. It’s easier to appreciate art than to accept it. We want people to accept art same way they appreciate it; because what we hear or see has took a lot while than we imagine to come to completion.
