Okay for the most part I'm glad we've collectively left behind the early fanon appearance of Cecil. It is a very good sign that we have stopped lying to ourselves that this man is a dapper twink and have embraced his eclectic (to put it mildly) clothing choices and the fact that he is probably not a conventionally attractive young white man (however I do think it's canon that he never really aged past his 20s? Idk canon is fake especially in WTNV) This is a net positive and I'm very glad it happened.

However.

Whoever came up with the early fanon idea of giving Cecil a fuck ton of tattoos was absolutely correct. That man should be covered in weird sigils and runes and tentacle designs and stuff. And those tattoos should be magic. I don't make the rules.

fun commander headcanon: they fucking hate dragon bash.

it was fun the first time. when the first dragon fell, there was hope and joy and celebration, but we know what happened during the first dragon bash, and suddenly it felt like that wasn’t meant to be. there was no celebration after Mordremoths death, none for the next 6 years, and then, suddenly, after another dragon had died, two had been put to sleep and a new one had been born, celebrations started again-

but by then the commander doesn’t feel like celebrating like this anymore. there’s still the question of whether or not the dragons deaths are actually any good, let alone should be celebrated like this, with candy and fireworks and games. and then those holograms. they hate seeing those dragons projected into the sky, flying above peoples heads and homes, they know they’re not real but somehow it’s still so scary to have to see those beasts again, to have people around them admire them, when in the past years they’ve done anything to get rid of them, never see them again.

and now that celebration comes back every year, and it starts feeling worse with every year. people cheer at those grand holograms of dragons and their minions and watch young adventurers slay them. they celebrate the dragons deaths, while the commander is still haunted by the end of soo-won. it just doesn’t feel right.
