Did you miss me?

I’m not going to bore you with details. Long story short, I got preggers, had the baby, lots of other big things and changes happened. Now I’m married, raising a baby, have full custody of my step-daughter, and we’re looking for a house. I also just recently got health insurance for the first time in years, so I’m seeing a doctor to get diagnosed with something that explains what I’ve been dealing with for a long time. New meds, foggy head, but getting back to normal.

I’m getting my blogs active again. Doing drafts and such to start, then I’ll be doing page updates and more. Please don’t be shy; I want to get all my blogs active again and that means getting new threads rolling, too! SO come love on us. I am sorry for my absence, but I have returned and fully intend to keep it that way!!

lol so like... what do you do when just about everything widely known about your representative muse is a myth??

abandonment issues? check. terrible mental health facility? check. mass death due to the black plague? ...where is it?????

by the time the plague was at its highest and had reached venice--poveglia was actually still occupied. it wasn’t used as a lazzaretto until 1793, when only two cases of plague were found on ships passing through its checkpoint. by this time the bubonic plague wasn’t NEARLY such a pandemic in any sense.

so like... if poveglia really didn’t have hardly anything to do with the bubonic plague, what caused such myths attributing it to the island? lazzarettos vecchio and nuovo are right nearby, with actual legitimate plague history. (in fact, that one photo of the mass grave of skeletons that often comes up in poveglia searches? it’s from one of those two instead.)

my theory is that it’s all due to the psychiatric facility, as a rumor-making starting point--the legend of the crazy doctor is questionable at best, but not terribly far off considering past mental care. once that legend had settled in, people probably wanted to add more into the island’s past--hence, throwing in the plague and all that “the soil is made of human ash” shit.

TL;DR teo’s characterization is gonna need some changing, though i’m not entirely sure in what direction yet.

lowkey wishlist: ok but gimme a thread where someone was friends with jack and had to watch as he started acting all weird bc of the music box he picked up and them trying to help him get better, but to no avail and eventually having to make the last resort of putting him in a psychiatric ward, and them coming to visit him to see how he’s doing but he keeps getting worse and the meds he’s given aren’t exactly helping either -- though then eventually he seems fine and is released, but one week later is found dead. and then ofc the coming back as a spirit and just ... imagine the long and ongoing feels trip though.

As you've all noticed, I don't have a theme, nor an about page, rules, etc. It's been a while since I've made a theme on here. Trust and believe, I've tried making one countless of times, but my computer loves to crash on Tumblr. So, if anyone would like to help me, I would be more than happy for the help.

Hello my lovely followers! I am sorta here... I’ve been super busy and stressed with the upcoming holidays. So I am gonna be generally slow. But I am gonna try my best to stay active as possible. I have all replies in my drafts. Which is my to do list. Along with I need to write up Zack’s About. Cause I really need to do that. But I’m still around, I’m just gonna be slow. Life just keeps getting in the way and whatnot, I haven’t really been on the computer to be honest. But thank you all for your patience.
