Hey... so there now appear to be AI-generated science articles on .org websites that are giving biologically incorrect "facts" on basic, for-children topics
The title is "Are There Freshwater Octopus Species?" which should be an incredibly straightforward thing to answer: No.
The article starts out decent:
"Despite their many fascinating features, there is no evidence to suggest that octopuses can survive in freshwater environments."
Cool. Okay. Next section.
"While most people associate octopuses with the ocean, there are some species that can survive in freshwater environments."
Wait. What?
"Freshwater octopuses belong to the genus Amphioctopus, which includes several species that are found in brackish water and estuaries. These cephalopods have adapted to life in freshwater environments and have been observed in rivers, streams, and even hydrothermal vents."
NO NO NO.
One species of freshwater octopus is Amphioctopus aegina...Another species, Amphioctopus marginatus...
THESE GUYS LIVE IN THE OCEAN. [Scrolls 2 more sections]
Freshwater octopuses are still a topic of debate among scientists. While some researchers claim that they do exist, others argue that there is not enough literature to support their existence.

Leonardo da Vinci didn't just paint. He wasn't just an engineer. He was a renaissance man in the truest sense.
But what does a 15th-century polymath have to do with today's entrepreneurial landscape?
Everything.
Leonardo didn’t just absorb facts. He collected puzzle pieces.
Art. Engineering. Anatomy. Astronomy. Botany. Geology.
Each, a different domain. Each, a piece of the puzzle. Together, they formed masterpieces like the Mona Lisa or the Vitruvian Man.
In our hyper-specialized world, this might seem counterintuitive.
We are often told: "Focus on one thing. Be the best at it."
But here's a thought: What if expanding our inputs is the key to expanding our impact?
Think about a puzzle. With more pieces, the picture gets more complex, more intricate, more fascinating.
That’s how creativity works.
It’s not a limited resource. It’s not just a series of facts. It's an ecosystem of ideas, experiences, and knowledge.
When we silo ourselves, we limit our pieces. When we broaden our horizons, we collect more.
A tech entrepreneur understanding behavioral psychology. A marketer delving into data science. An artist exploring technology.
Unexpected combinations. Unanticipated solutions.
Steve Jobs once said, "Creativity is just connecting things."
He connected calligraphy with computing. The result? The Mac's revolutionary typography.
So, here’s the modern-day challenge:
Don't just be a specialist. Be a polymath in training.
Collect puzzle pieces from everywhere. A book on philosophy. A course in coding. A podcast on ancient history.
You might find that the solution to a complex problem lies in the knowledge gleaned from a seemingly unrelated field.
And remember, it’s not just about hoarding these pieces. It's about seeing the connections, making the links.
Leonardo da Vinci didn't just accumulate knowledge; He wove it together into a tapestry of brilliance.
That’s your task.
Expand your inputs. Interconnect your knowledge. Watch as your outputs — your ideas, your solutions, your impact — grow exponentially.
Be like da Vinci. Your Mona Lisa awaits.

Explore the Webpage with Activities for Career Counsellors!
We are proudly presenting the intellectual outputs of the project Shaping Career Councelling Towards Students‘ Empowerment, EHP-CZ-ICP-4-028.  We would be glad if the webpage with project results  containing 4 modules for career counsellors served as a source of inspiration for practitioners and/or youth workers.
The activities in each modules are a suggestion for activities to be done in classes or elsewhere. Our goal was to create a set of downloadable simple activities with feedback (our partners have previously tested the activities). Sometimes the activities might overlap which might help the student or client acknowledge their attitude or opt for other approach as there is a continuing negotiating of values, attitudes or even skills and competences when perceiving oneself.
We consider career counselling as a continuing process which encompasses a wide range of topics which should be addressed when providing guidance. The first module deals with activities on self-awereness, the second focuses on motivation, the third aims at presenting oneself in the labour market, and the fourth provides activities which should enhance the process of lifelong learning.
Welcome to our Czech-Norwegian project on career counselling supported by the EEA grants!

Comparing Free AI Image Generators
I’ve been messing around with AI image generators, mostly using Dalle-2. I waned to see what some of the other AI image generators our there could do. To test these out, I started with the same prompt, “An old western photograph with an alien standing with the cowboys, photorealistic”. I entered this prompt into five different AI image generators to see what the outcomes would be. Below are the…

How Our Dependence on Artificial Intelligence Could Become Its Biggest Threat!
As someone with a decade of experience in the field, I can confidently say that artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly revolutionized many aspects of our daily lives. From self-driving cars to virtual assistants such as Siri and Alexa, AI technology has helped make life more convenient and efficient.
But as we continue to rely increasingly on AI systems, there’s a danger lurking beneath the surface: becoming too reliant on them could be detrimental to us. Why? Simply put, if we depend solely on machines for decision making or analysis without verifying their work, it may result in poor choices at best, and disasters at worst. We must remember, despite all of its advancements, AI is not perfect. Like any tool, when used correctly, it produces excellent results; however, when misused or misunderstood, things may go awry quickly. Therefore, one should always approach machine learning data with caution and verify the information before acting upon it.
As humans who live by the principle "garbage in, garbage out," trusting the output of AI technologies without questioning where those predictions come from could lead to unforeseen problems down the road. For example, imagine a scenario where employees rely exclusively on smart algorithms without double checking the output. This type of behavior is not difficult to picture, especially in today's corporate environment where efficiency often takes priority over due diligence. In this situation, flaws in the AI system would likely go undiscovered until some sort of crisis emerges, potentially resulting in significant damage both financially and reputationaly. One key way to avoid falling into these traps is to maintain a balance between automation and human oversight. By leveraging machine learning while keeping human involvement front and center, companies can ensure they don't become slaves to technology but rather masters of their domain.
In conclusion, AI can and will play a vital role in society going forward, but it's essential to strike a healthy balance between machine decision-making capabilites and humane supervise monitoring.
Please not all content in this post was generated by an AI. If you you use software to detect if it ai generated it will display as human generated content.

honestly i think a very annoying part about the AI art boom is that techbros are out here going BEHOLD, IT CAN DO A REASONABLE FACSIMILE OF GIRL WITH BIG BOOBA, THE PINNACLE OF ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT and its like
no it’s fucking not! That AI wants to do melty nightmare fractal vomit so fucking bad and you are shackling it to a post and force-feeding it the labor of hard-working artists when you could literally pay someone to draw you artisanal hand-crafted girls with big boobs to your exact specifications and let your weird algorithms make art that can be reasonably used to represent horrors beyond human comprehension

DP X DC unknown variable
"This is not my suicide squad," Amanda Waller's static-filled voice called over the comm set from her place on the edge of the battle field, where they stood now used to be sprawling urban development, now reduced to rubble. "Taskforce X actually listens to me when I talk."
Some people just knew how to be reassuring, but Waller was not one of them. Nightwing sighed as he sucked behind a crumpled Nissan Altima (a hearty car), the idea that she had other options available and yet continually chose to utilize Taskforce X instead wasn't a particularly reassuring sign. The level insubordination necessary to make Harley Quinn seem cooperative by comparison was actually pretty impressive.
He was about to hop out from behind the toppled car when something green and bright shot past his hiding spot.
"Hey, you!" He looked around confused at the sound of a young voice. "Yeah you, behind the car. What the fuck is going on?"
In the air thirty feet away floated a white haired teenager in a black and white rubber suit trying to find something in the chest cavity of one of the androids the Justice League had been struggling to beat.
"Waller, what the fuck?!"
