My answer: zen X genji, I’ve headcanon’d them as adoptive father and son since I knew zen was his teacher and now I’m sorta sad it ruined it for me because all the fan art is cute but I just can’t see it anymore because of that 😭 no hate to zen X genji shippers we still buddies I just ruined it for myself with hcs

Also zen X ram. They literally call each other brother canonically so it’s just gross to me

This is just a random thought that popped into my head and I could be remembering things wrong so feel free to correct me!

From the most recent comic with baptiste and pharah, whatever awkward interaction that happened between pharah and mercy happened during the period were OverWatch wasn't around and they bother where in Cairo, and from what I can tell Genji and mercy were writing letters back and forth to each other while mercy was in Cairo(the Christmas picture thingy). And we already know Genji and mercy had a romantic connection prior to the fall of overwatch, because of their storm rising interactions.

So imagine the situation that happened between pharah and mercy that kind of left them a bit awkward was either Farrah confessing or hinting at the fact she liked mercy romantically, but little did she know mercy was already going back and forth with Genji with quite a romantic tone and as we know from the fact that she's the one that asked Genji out on a date in storm rising, mercy most definitely has interests in Genji probably over pharah. So the confession probably didn't go very well leaving the two of them awkward and too awkward to say bye when they left for other places.

So it ends up being a quite awkward love "triangle" (more like a line connecting genji and mercy and and arrow from pharah to mercy but not the other way)

That's my theory/headcanon anyway!
