Longtime followers will likely recognize some of these guys but the remake of my comic Owl Nest (now FELL) has been getting a much more solidified style! To prevent too many spoilers, most of the concept art I'm keeping private. But, I wanted to show a little of what's been going on behind the scenes!

Currently, the largest decision I've made is to make FELL entirely with ink and alcohol markers in a series of sketchbooks. They will all, of course, be scanned and published when the comic is done.

FELL has grown into so much more than I expected-- What started as me trying to copy the Shonen formula evolved into a much more rich and emotional story. I can't spoil anything, but I can say FELL is absolutely a journey through the stages of grief and identity. It's dark, raw, somewhat surreal, and I hope it touches its audience how it touched me.

The closer I get to completion, the more I'll be posting about it! So, I hope you guys will be around for its release!

I was there, when Sploon 1 first came out. Absolutely loved the theming from the trailers and the general hype around it. unfortunately the game’s vibes werent really my type when the time came for me to play it, and the controls were too jank… I played the first game for a total of 30 mins and didnt come back to this series until last December.

Its been that long??? Man. time flies. Agent 3’s a captain now and everything. Im glad to be here, even if its this late!!

sploon1 servers going down means Cap3 is retiring from turf wars in my interp. Their disability makes them ineligible for most leagues, and for the leagues theyre allowed to participate in, they get tired too easily to really have fun anymore. Theyll be focusing on agent duties and other things outside turfing from now on…

no look at me. it’s about right person wrong time and then meeting that person again and you’ve both grown and matured but they’re torn away from you and they’re lying to you to protect you while you try to claw your way back to them and they finally let you in when you ask them to save your kids, not you, and then they save your life because your kid asked them to and they’re guarding your cell but they can’t see you and you find them again at the end of the world, whistling your song, and you save the world, and you lie down in their arms for the first time in decades, and the two of you finally get to rest.

Day 21 of Marchirp: Nest

I made a card game called Nest and so I came up with Marchirp to motivate me to finish illustrating all 14 birds lol.

Does Nightshade ever have owl instincts even when in Bot mode, like sees something egg shaped they sit on it, or they just randomly screech

Nightshade: What? No.

Nightshade: I do have night vision, though.

Hashtag: Sometimes they squawk, or hoot, or coo. But don’t think I’ve ever heard them just screech, let alone randomly for seemingly no reason. I do have a file full of cute owl noises and things they do though!

Tarantulas: Not necessarily the egg thing, they are just a youngling, after all.

Tarantulas: However, they do not screech, it’s too much for their sensory processing to handle, and it greatly distresses them when there’s such loud scratchy noise.

Tarantulas: But they have certainly at some point randomly made owl noises, and sometimes if they hear or catch something out of the corner of their optics they’ll whip their head around to it.

Tarantulas: Sometimes the tiny toys that can move and meant to be a form of torment for others will trigger their predator response and they’ll swoop in to catch it. And they have destroyed multiple. They’re always very remorseful after.

Tarantulas: And of course, let us never forget: like any flight frame beastformer, their berth has been made into a messy nest, and they hoard all the things they like in it.

Hashtag: You mean the way they wall it off, and it’s super fluffy, and they don’t have one definitive point to leave their head or peds? And they hide all their sweets and most precious toys and that book they really like?

Tarantulas: Indeed, that is what I mean. Your sibling’s made a mess of their sleeping space known best as a nest.

Tarantulas: So it would more of a not quite that in particular, but there are other things they do.

Tarantulas: You’re welcome. |;)
