This pendant was inspired by the Great Goddess of the Wilderness, the protectress of nature and all creatures of the wild. She’s been called many names… Beira/ The Cailleach, Skadi, Artemis… to name a few. She’s known as a great giver, and fierce defender if proper respect for the natural world isn’t maintained. She’s our connection to the wild… our truest selves… and the original archetype of the “Wild Woman”.
The Cailleach in particular has long been associated with owls. Likewise as a spirit guide, owls are known to be the keepers of the hidden wisdom of the forest. They observe all, with the ability to see clearly into the dark night. The owl can lead us through the unknown, and teach us the intuitive ways of nature’s magic. Their presence can herald deep and profound inner change, and can often be symbolic of a life transition. Owl energy is wonderfully depicted in the well known nursery rhyme…
“A wise old owl lived in an oak,
The more he saw, the less he spoke
The less he spoke, the more he heard,
Now, wasn't he a wise old bird?”
The owl teaches us to attentively listen to nature, and open our eyes to that which we intuitively know. It’s a lesson words cannot teach, and something we can only learn when we open our hearts to nature’s potent medicine.

a portrait of history's unsung wizardly pioneer
mouse(@everybodyknows-everybodydies)'s writing on shalidor's much-overlooked ex-wife (and the mind behind half of his famed projects and discoveries) has captivated me utterly. nothing cooler than an old-timey woman whose contributions to her field were subsumed by her ex-husband and whose memory now exists only in buried glimpses and guesses, a series of scraps to be pieced fruitlessly together. my beloved

Pendants for Anime North! The exact day after I finished these, I made three sales, so I went from a full display rack and checking pendants off the to-do list, to trying to figure out what else I could make, whoopsadaisy!
So for hanging style pendants, we have a Three Toed Sloth, Honduran Tent Bats, a Raccoon, a Barn Owl, a Red Fox, and a Garter Snake. (There's one more, but I'll share him later, he's a favourite. :) )
For scene style sea glass pendants, we have a Tree Frog, a Robin in a Magnolia tree, a Betta fish, and a Fire Bellied Newt. :)
I'll be at Anime North next week from May 26 to May 28, and I'll share my table number once I have it. :) In the meantime, I do still have a some beasts in the sh 0p as well if you have a hankering.
Please note: all creatures, including my sh0 p stock, will be joining me at Anime North, but not all will be coming back, so if you've had your eye on anyone, make sure to grab them before May 24th, when I'll be closing for the convention.

i have been to approximately 40 thousand christian weddings (some of them southern) in the last few years. wear the dyke look. you only live once. people are focused on the bride anyways. add a chain necklace if you're feeling extra sexy.
Advice from an expert in christian weddings!! You're right life is temporary but dyke looks are for the soul. Chain necklaces my beloved!! If I wasn't so obsessed with different cool rocks I would wear them constantly

There's always that one or two outfits in sky that you made and then never changed it for weeks and maybe months.
Like you just put it all together and went "Oh that slaps" and then refuse to change it because it's now your signature identity.
Maybe you did change it when you got bored of seeing the same thing but then you just.... changed like one cosmetics of it and it barely looks different.
Am I the only one?

Its Sky’s anniversary in the Season of Shattering! The new cosmetic is a crown, and yall know how Mags is around them…
Also I hc that the red crystals are made from concentrated negative energy — and Mags here, hes dealt with THREE Dark Matter threats by this point. He’ll be fine…

Today's beast - Barn Owl Pendant! I've done Barn Owls before, but wanted to experiment with a new pose. They're one of my favourite birds since childhood. I love all owls, but these spooky little guys just grab me.
If you'd like a beast, pendant or just a desk friend, check out Bittythings and beasts.
