i get the impulse to be like alexander was originally good and noble and became a tyrant later but its not really borne out considering stuff like the siege of tyre (pointlessly cruel) comes before stuff like letting porus keep his kingdom and similar events (executes a dude for no reason then is very respectful to oxyartes' daughters etc) it feels more reasonable just to say he was very erratic and often unreasonable not that there is some kind of straightforward fall into villainy which makes it sound like youre falling into the same narrativisation trap as the ancient authors ALSO oftentimes people when arguing for this sort of moral degeneration theyre like he was corrupted by eastern decadence!!! which god as my witness we should start killing people for saying ive had ENOUGH

Odonantus, Aelfwine, and Carcharis, Chaos Marines and Horus geneseed hybrids, spend “Patricide Day” being passive-aggressive to their bio father because he was awful to their mom. Really awful. If Mom wasn’t a Space Marine they would have a more reasonable response to being abused, they think. Have no idea what Mom sees in him aside from “dick too bomb” and the whole turning into a big fluffy dog thing. You can get away with torturing folks if you’re cute like that.

Instead they celebrate the day by paying tribute to their mentors at Space Marine Boarding School (the horrible nightmare school in the Eye of Terror their father sent them to) and their mom’s other husband, a Night Sword who got mpregged by their bio father too (Dad had a pregnancy fetish oops). The Night Sword who raised them has been practically married to Mom for 200 years. They bonk him playfully with pool noodles, because that’s the custom.

Their half-brother Oxyartes the sorcerer (Horus x Magnus geneseed hybrid) sends his birth dad, a Thousand Sons sorcerer living far away, a message. He hopes Dad gets past the “aggressive hypermasculinity as a trauma response” thing soon. His sperm donor was very bad to his dad and ruined Dad’s love of kohl, stockings, corsets, and perfumes and generally being Beautiful :(

Battle: Siege of Sogdian Rock

Summary:

The Siege of Sogdian Rock shows the beginning of Alexander’s conquest of India as well as his hand in psychological warfare. In the beginning of this siege, Alexander had captured the fortress held by Oxyartes. Oxyartes had previously sent his wife and daughters to the citadel which was high upon the cliffs of the surrounding area. The citadel was said to have enough food and supplies to hold off a long period of siege. When Alexander asked for surrender, the Sogdians refused stating that the only way the Macedonian’s would claim victory is if they grew wings and took the citadel. Later that night, Alexander gathered volunteers to scale the fortress. A lot of the soldier who had volunteered had previous experience due to the sieges performed throughout his military conquest. These soldiers were to wave cloth and linen at the top of the cliffs to signal their success. Upon this, Alexander then turned to the Sogdians, telling them to gaze upon his winged men who had reached the citadel. The Sogdians were so demoralized and defeated by this, they in turn, surrendered immediately. While meeting with the wife and daughters of Oxyartes who hid in the citadel, Alexander took a liking to his daughter, Roxana. After completing another successful siege in Bactra, Alexander would marry Roxana.

The vantablack portions of his body are also malleable, and can oscillate like ferrofluid to perforate and 'till' viscous fluids. Very handy for slithering through oceans of divine blood, and a lot of other things people really shouldn't be able to 'swim' through.

Look at my squid boy.

Here's some information about my character Voltaire Oublien.

Voltaire is my primary DnD character right now. He is a Warlock Hexblade / Rogue Swashbuckler, and likes to consider himself a very charming individual despite outward appearances.

Voltaire used to be a Reigar, but that was before he turned to occultism and struck a deal for eternal life. Now he wields a malleable blade of brackish liquid that drinks the memories of his victims--or his own, if he does not satiate its thirst.

Now cursed for his own hubris to pay a debt that's nigh insurmountable, Voltaire has even forgotten the entity that he brokered the pact with to begin with. Not that this really matters to him, as he seeks to savor all of life's hedonistic splendors.

He also used to be the ship artist for a spelljammer called the Fiddler's Green. Things went sour when he was promoted to captain. He did such a bad job at it that the crew mutinied and tried to fire him into the sun.

Finally got myself a working tablet. Check out my Reborn bug-girl Niamh. A lich found her lifeless body and brought it back with the divine hyphae. (Cordyceps. It was magic Cordyceps.)

She's a beast Barbarian who uses druidic magic to assume the form of animals. The animals are from /her/ planet though, so she usually manifests a huge pair of ghostly mantis forelimbs from her back.
