CNCO x Reader

Part 2?

Summary: When you're assigned to do a soundcheck for CNCO's concert, you had no idea it would be anything more than that.

Warnings: nothing too extreme... yet 👀

A/N: CNCO had a concert in my town and I wENT. I was doing soundcheck (I work for a latin pop radio station) and omG it was the best night of my life and the inspiration for this fic. This is basically how my night went (plus a little extra) and I want to include you guys! Let me know if you guys would like more fics like these (and a part 2? 👀) there's lots for me to share! Enjoy!

Working for the most popular Latin Pop radio station in town was fun for the most part; playing music all day every day, attending the concerts of famous Latin Pop Artists, even organizing meet and greets and being able to talk to famous artists was a dream for you. But it also a hassle, especially at times like this.

It's an early Friday morning, and you're working alongside your coworkers in preparing a concert ticket raffle. A boy group that your radio station had been talking about since their debut was having a concert in your town, and your radio station was promoting it. That group being; CNCO.

You would be lying if you said you didn’t fancy these boys and their music, but as promised when you first began your radio job, you must keep a professional relationship with every artist played on the radio.

A tired sigh left your lips as you gathered the last of the supplies needed for the raffle and began to make your way to the mini van with your coworkers. “Aren’t you excited to give all of these tickets away??” Said your closest friend and coworker, Natti, in an overly excited tone as she held up about 7 pairs of tickets in her hands.

You and Natti met when you were both put to work over the radio; playing your favorite Latin Pop songs, taking calls from listeners, talking about celebrities, and giving away concert tickets. Upon being the listener’s favorites, you both developed a very strong friendship over time. Today, you consider her as family.

You giggled and nodded as you put on your seat belt and began driving to the destination where the raffle would be held. “Yes, I’m very excited.” You simply responded. It always warmed your heart to see fan’s reactions after winning tickets to go see their favorite artists. However, these raffles always lead to angry fans claiming the raffle was rigged, that was not something to look forward to.

"I'm kinda sad we can't attend the concert though, considering how many tickets are left, but I love making these fans happy." You added onto your response, causing Natti to nod in agreement. That was the main reason why you took this job; it may be stressful at times, but at the end of the day, you’d make many fans happy. “Yeah... and we love CNCO.” Natti said with a sly wink, to which you playfully rolled your eyes to.

After two hours of dealing with many overly excited and angered fans, the raffle had ended and all of the tickets were gone. You smiled at the winning fans you had thanked you for the hundredth time already. Looking over to your right, you laughed at the sight of Natti attempting to reason with the many angry fans who did not win. “Alright well, ¡Gracias a todos por participar en la rifa! I apologize to those who didn’t win, but for those who did win, have fun at CNCO’s concert!” You announced as you handed out merchandise for the radio station you worked for all of the participants.

The rest of your team and yourself gathered into the mini van, obviously very ready to leave the angered fans. You all cheered as you drove away, happy with the success of the raffle. “We didn’t get attacked this time! Remember what happened to us when we did a raffle for Ozuna’s concert??” Natti announced, bringing back the vivid memory of being ambushed by the large group of supporters.

You and your coworkers laughed as you all entered the radio station once again, empty handed this time. You and Natti headed to your station and sat in your seats, eager to begin your silly yet fun radio segment. “We should play more CNCO songs than we usually do since, you know, their concert is ton-” you began, but your boss suddenly swung the door open, looking panicked and stressed while holding a bunch of papers and lanyards in her hands.

“Hey Becky... what’s up?” you said quietly, barely able to finish your sentence before your boss began talking. “Ladies, somehow we forgot to cover soundcheck for tonight’s concert...” she said with a deep sigh, “... we aren’t able to get professionals with such short notice, but I trust you two very much. Are you ladies free to soundcheck and attend CNCO’s concert tonight?” your boss asked with a hopeful look in her eyes.

You and Natti hadn’t done soundcheck for many concerts, but you two had done it enough to know exactly how to operate.

Your breath hitched at the question, but you kept your composure and quickly nodded. you looked over at Natti who was nodding as well. “Y-Yeah, we’re free for tonight.” Natti spoke for you and flashed a smile.

“great!! Here are your VIP work passes and your backstage passes. Venue doors open at 8, concert starts at 9, but you girls NEED to be there at 6:30! Thank you ladies!” your boss said quickly while handing you the lanyards and leaving the room almost instantly after talking.

You stayed sitting in your seat, shocked while clutching the passes in your hand. Natti stood up from her seat next to you. “Oh my gosh...” she said. You stood up as well, and repeated, “Oh my god!” Suddenly, you both began jumping up and down, squealing excitedly for the event that’s yet to come.
