Okay so I decided on a name and this is the final version of the story. Part 1 and 2 are pretty much the same as they were, but it felt weird to post part 3 without posting 1 and 2 first so I'm just starting all over.
The Scientific Method
Part One
Part Two
She looked down at the crumpled newspaper want ad in her right hand, an umbrella clutched in her left. It had been raining since Saturday, it was now Monday and showed no signs of stopping.
Help wanted – receptionist/personal assistant
Pay negotiable
Inquire at 1106 South East Drive, 3rd floor
A sparse ad to be sure, but the only one she’d found advertising a job she thought she’d be able to do, and it was close to home. Pocketing the ad, she took a deep breath and reassured herself before heading through the lofty art deco lobby to the elevator. The metallic gold elevator cage blended perfectly with the dïżœïżœcor and shone dully in the dim greenish light of the cavernous room. She noticed all this while procrastinating her entry to said elevator.
“Third floor, please,” she told the operator. He nodded, closing the gate with a loud clunk. He pulled a lever, and the car began to rise shakily. She half hoped the elevator would never make it to the third floor. She tried not to think about how badly she needed to land this job. Her last job hadn’t worked out too well, she’d worked as a waitress at a local restaurant, and the customers (and her boss for that matter) could be a bit forward in their dealings with the female staff.
The elevator door slid open shakily and she stepped out, trying to hide how nervous she was. She was in a long, sterile hallway, at one end of which, just past a line of uncomfortable-looking low-backed chairs was a large desk, presumably the desk the aforementioned and as-yet-to-be-hired receptionist would occupy. She wasn’t sure what would be expected of her as a personal assistant, but she hoped she could handle it.
She looked left and right, seeing a door on the other end of the hall, just adjacent to another door set into the wall and wondered which to try first when she heard the sound of uneven steps through the door facing the length of the hallway. She approached the door hesitantly.
Whatever this man was like, if he offered her the job, she had no choice but to take it. She’d accumulated quite a bit of debt trying to keep her head above water, even while she was working as a waitress, she never seemed to make enough to break even, let alone put money away for a rainy day. So she took out private loans to make ends meet. Now that money was due, and she was desperate to come up with it.
Dr. Daniel P. Schreber, read the frosted window set into the light-colored wooden door. She knocked.
The door opened partway at her knock; it hadn’t been latched. It led to a large circular room that seemed to double as lab space and personal office. A large, polished hardwood table sat on the right side of the room, covered in papers, scientific equipment, and various bric-a-brac. It seemed to serve as a desk of sorts.
At the back of the room was a line of full to bursting bookshelves haphazardly organized, atop which various glass tubes and beakers rested. At the center of the room was a large round maze, she assumed built for some sort of small animal. She’d read of some experiments like that before.
The left side of the room was home to a large hutch made of wood and chicken wire, a man standing in front of it with his back turned. He turned at the sound of the door.
He was a little taller than she was, with short blond hair parted neatly in the middle. He wore small round wire rimmed glasses and a white lab coat buttoned up to the collar. He was gently petting the small white rat he held in his hands.
“Can I help you?” he asked, not unkindly.
“Yes, I’m here about the receptionist ad in the paper? I hope I got the right floor.”
“Oh, of course.” He gently returned the rat to its hutch. As he approached, she noticed he had a limp, heavily favoring his right side, and he had a prominent scar over his right eye.
“Daniel Schreber, pleasure to meet you.” He shook her hand. His grip was much stronger than she would have expected. Realizing she’d taken a beat too long to respond, she mentally shook herself, not letting her anxiety get the better of her.
“I’m Katherine, nice to meet you, too.” She smiled, hoping she looked less nervous than she felt.
“Perhaps we should conduct this interview someplace more comfortable.” He spoke in a strange cadence, seeming to often be out of breath, she assumed an effect of whatever injuries had resulted in his scar and pronounced limp.
She nodded as he gestured toward the door as if to say, “after you,” though she wasn’t sure exactly where they were going. They stepped out of the lab/office together into the sparsely lit hallway beyond. He turned to lock the door before leading her to an unlabeled door in the hallway to the right of the lab. He then proceeded to unlock this door and held it for her.
He noticed her looking at the key in the lock and smiled sheepishly.
“I’m afraid I was a victim of a break-in years ago and it’s made me a bit more fastidious when it comes to security,” he explained.
“I’m so sorry to hear that,” she said, genuine feeling for the man’s misfortune evident in her voice. This didn’t escape his notice, very few things did. Her empathy for a complete stranger was touching and somewhat endearing.
He’d already made up his mind to hire her, he was as desperate as she was to fill the position, it had been weeks since he posted that want ad in the Gazette, and every applicant had turned down the job, not that there were many to begin with.
He knew he could be off putting, what with his appearance, his speech, even the way he moved, but he hoped this one would take the job anyway. She seemed not to notice or care about his limp or the way he spoke, and seemed completely unfazed by his scars. He found it refreshing and liked her immediately.
He led her into a small room, richly decorated with dark polished wood paneling and soft lighting. The only furniture in the room were two red upholstered chairs and a plush leather couch.
“You’ll have to excuse me for using this room, this is where I see my patients, but it’s also the most comfortable room in the office.” He smiled thinly, the left side of his mouth turning up farther than the right, his crooked smile transformed into more of a smirk. She thought about him being hurt during the break-in he’d mentioned and a fresh wave of feeling for the man swept over her. She’d always been too sensitive for her own good when it came to others, often at the expense of her own well-being.
“Please have a seat,” he said as he took one of the upholstered chairs for himself. She sat in the other across from it, fidgeting with the hem of her blouse for a moment before stopping herself.
“Before we go any further, I want to be honest with you Katherine, this job is yours if you want it. Somehow, I haven’t had the best of luck filling this position,” he smiled awkwardly if a bit sadly. “I can pay you a decent salary, but I keep late office hours. I hope that’s alright.”
She tried not to show the great relief she felt. The job was hers if she wanted it. And it sounded like it might actually pay enough to get her out of the hole she’d dug herself financially. This was better than she could have hoped for.
Some details of the job were discussed, and after another handshake she was on her way home with a job to report to tomorrow and the understanding that she may be expected to act as more of an assistant than receptionist in the future, for additional pay of course. As she left the building, she noticed the rain had stopped.

i have some more seven minutes in heaven with a pedro boy of choice as created/coined/prompted by @boliv-jenta, because i’m a goddamn comedian, and this is fun for me. thank you for thinking this idea up.
this is every pedro boy i have an opinion on:
javi p : 7 minutes pretending I have no idea who he is and treating him like your average joe, just so he gets a break from the incessant pablo escobar questions. i will however be unabashedly checking him out and complimenting whatever obscenely well tailored and bright button up shirt he has on that day.
marcus m: split the time in half. first 3.5mins? sorry i’m just gonna throw metal stuff at him (with consent) and test the magic metal powers. second 3.5mins? a little shoulder massage. he seems tense.
dave york: 7 minutes in Court Ordered Therapy. i don’t like him and i don’t like his hair. he gives me the heeby jeebies.
joel miller: i’ll be honest i’ve got 2 options. 1) sit on a porch and chill out with him and his guitar. serenade me, cowboy. i’ll serenade you right back.
or,,
2) do my level best to (with consent) give him life-changing-make-you-want-to-plan-a-future-with-me-level head. yeah. uh. next.
marcus p: let me at this man!!!! i want to play with his hair i want to be all curled up with him on a couch i’ll watch Casablanca! i’ll watch some movie from the 40s. do i like them? no! would i watch them all day (or in fact for 7 minutes) just to be in his presence? yes!
jack daniels deserves a nice one so here’s a nice one for him as well: 7 minutes at some near-empty bar in the early afternoon. maybe i steal his hat and put it on and maybe that holds implications. perhaps i am unwaveringly normal and complimentary and he’s taken aback by my lack of performance and abundance of genuineness and falls in love with me and ditches the whole arrogance and misogyny sort of act. i don’t know. just spitballing.
din djarin: 7 minutes to watch him train or absolutely decimate a group of ruffians in a brawl. i’d like him use his gadgets and his brute strength and proficiency. i’d start wanting to bite things. after? i’d give him orange slices or a cold washcloth or again, head,,,,. whatever he needs. i live to serve.
pero tovar: talking him through a 7 minute personal hygiene and skincare routine. i just have this feeling he’d really be into soap if he ever got the chance to use it. and then if there was time left over i’d re-do his eyeliner.
max phillips: i don’t much like him. think i’d follow him around with a UEBOOM playing various songs from the twilight soundtracks for 7 minutes. then get the hell out of dodge before he could ruin my life.
javi g: anything. i’d stare at him in that white singlet for 7 minutes. i’d let him wax poetic about nicolas cage. i’d go for a swim. i’m terrified of heights but i’d cliff-dive with him. i’ll let him talk me through the entire nicolas cage collection. hell, i’ll hang his laundry out to dry for 7 minutes. I just want to be in his presence. he’s my dream man. ugh.
ezra: since prospect was taken off netflix in my country and i haven’t been able to watch it in 2 years, ezra in my head is now more closely associated with either @oonajaeadira’s bookshop series or @frannyzooey’s in the dark
(this doubles as a shoutout to them for some gorgeous gorgeous writing in these series and in everything they do. i hope you don’t mind me tagging you in this!)
if we’re in bookshop? i’d like to coexist with ezra peacefully for 7 minutes. all domestic. surrounded by the smell of old books. talking about random things. maybe holding his hand and stroking the back of it with my thumb. something soft and loving. what a sweet and heartwarming series.
if we’re in in the dark i’m sorry, i would lean more towards getting absolutely railed into next week by him. god he’s hot. i’m not immune to a bit of an age gap and this one is done so well and so tastefully.
frankie morales: i think i’d enjoy spending seven minutes chatting with an alcoholic beverage while we’re grilling at the barbeque. so dad-coded of me, but maybe the sun is setting and it’s summer and it’s a taste of normalcy he hasn’t had in a while so it’s romantic. i like him. i like him a lot.
oberyn martell: i think i’d spontaneously combust in his presence. he’s just
wow. and ellaria is so gorgeous as well. I’m just one shy bisexual. i’d need the upper hand or at least to impress them. OK let’s set it that I’m like a travelling bard or something and I’ve come to Dorne. Therefore I’d sing for them. that’s my One Great Skill. and then they go oh nice! and i get a full time job just doing what bards do in Dorne. and maybe i am invited to their bed once in a while.
pedro across the street: forget apple originals - to me, PATS is from oonajaeadiras’ good things take time series. her work has a way of sticking in your brain. would love a 7minute non sexual massage from this one. my trapezius (?) muscles are rock hard.
surely that’s it. i feel like i’ve forgotten a big one. well. thanks for reading if you got this far.
peace out.

Pitch for a MCU miniseries: “A Larger Universe - Tales from Marvel”
Plot Summary:
As a standalone, anthology miniseries, each episode is a different “tale” focused on heroes who haven’t gotten the spotlight in the main MCU. But the REAL reason why this miniseries is being made is to fully integrate the Marvel Television shows into the main MCU canon.
So, under the guise of “highlighting unexplored heroes”, the show is actually completing the merger of the Marvel TV shows that came before Disney Plus/Phase 4.
Hypothetical Episode Line-Up:
1) Quake: Former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent-turned-S.W.O.R.D. agent Daisy Johnson is sent to deal with a rogue cell of Flag Smashers, who are still around despite the loss of their leader (purpose of this episode is to address “Agents of SHIELD”).
2) The Other Carter: In the 1950s, Agents Peggy Carter and Daniel Sousa follow a lead on the assassin responsible for shooting Agent Jack Thompson (resolves the cliffhanger from “Agent Carter”).
3) The Man Who Can’t Speak: In Honolulu, Hawaii, a young couple befriends a mute man (Black Bolt) who claims to have come from the empire of “Attilan” a city located on the Moon. Thinking he’s insane, the couple later learn that the mute man is who he says he is and that he needs their help in finding a way back to his people (this is a soft reboot of the “Inhumans” show).
4) Sister Grimm: While fighting in Xialing’s underground fighting ring, Wong befriends a young witch named Nico Minoru. Seeing her potential as a magic user, Wong offers her a spot in the Sanctum Sanctorum as his mentee/protege (purpose of this episode is to address “Runaways”).
5) Light & Dark: Damage Control agents Sadie Deever and P. Cleary, coming off their run-in with Kamala Khan, are assigned to a lead on another pair of people with superhuman abilities, later revealed to be Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen (purpose of this episode is to address “Cloak and Dagger”).
6) Adventure into Fear: Wong and his mentee Nico Minoru learn about a supernatural being who has been terrorizing the streets of Los Angeles. The two of them go to investigate and discover that the supernatural being is Ghost Rider. Ghost Rider has been hunting the demon-human hybrid siblings, Daimon and Ana Helstrom (purpose of this episode is to reintroduce Robbie Reyes and to address “Helstrom”).
7) One Bad Night: Jessica Jones and Luke Cage follow a lead on the secret identity of Spider-Man. This turns out to be a mistake when the two of them learn that a crazy murderer is killing anyone who follows the fake lead. But the bad news for the murderer is...Frank Castle decided to follow the lead as well (purpose of this episode is to address “Jessica Jones”, “Luke Cage”, and “The Punisher”).
8) The Legend of K’un L’un: Shang-Chi returns to Ta Lo in order to bond with his aunt, Ying Nan. While there, he is challenged by an arrogant martial artist known as “The Iron Fist” to a friendly duel to see who is the superior fighter. Depending on Marvel, this could either be Danny or Colleen. (purpose of this episode is to address “Iron Fist”).

It’s October! The month in which I watch even more horror movies than usual. Each year I tend to have a theme to help narrow down what to watch. So far I’ve done Zombie Films, Werewolf Films, Vampire Films, Slasher Films and Ghost Films. This year’s theme will be Cosmic/Eldritch Horror (or as most know it as Lovecraftian Horror.
This list isn’t going to contain every film in the world that is base on H.P. Lovecraft's works, have elements of it or is inspired by it. These are just the ones that I liked the most (that doesn't necessary mean they're all good though) and would recommend to others if they’re interested in this subgenre. So, in no particular order check out these films...
In the Mouth of Madness (1994) -- is an American supernatural horror film directed and scored by John Carpenter and written by Michael De Luca. It stars Sam Neill, Julie Carmen, JĂŒrgen Prochnow, David Warner and Charlton Heston.
When horror novelist Sutter Cane goes missing, freelance insurance investigator John Trent scrutinizes the claim made by his publisher, Jackson Harglow. He's to retrieve a yet-to-be-released manuscript and ascertain the writer's whereabouts. Accompanied by the novelist's editor, Linda Styles, and disturbed by nightmares from reading Cane's other novels, Trent makes an eerie nighttime trek to a supernatural town in New Hampshire.
In the Mouth of Madness pays tribute to the works of author H. P. Lovecraft in its exploration of insanity, and its title is derived from the Lovecraft novella At the Mountains of Madness.
Color Out of Space (2019) -- is an American science fiction Lovecraftian horror film directed and co-written by Richard Stanley, based on the short story "The Colour Out of Space" by H. P. Lovecraft. It stars Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, Elliot Knight, Madeleine Arthur, Brendan Meyer, Q'orianka Kilcher and Tommy Chong.
The Gardner family moves to a remote farmstead in rural New England to escape the hustle of the 21st century. They are busy adapting to their new life when a meteorite crashes into their front yard, melts into the earth, and infects both the land and the properties of space-time with a strange, otherworldly colour.
The Void (2016) -- is an Canadian Lovecraftian horror film written and directed by Steven Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie, and produced by Jonathan Bronfman and Casey Walker. It stars Aaron Poole, Kenneth Welsh, Daniel Fathers, Kathleen Munroe, and Ellen Wong.
In the middle of a routine patrol, officer Daniel Carter happens upon a blood-soaked figure limping down a deserted stretch of road. He rushes the young man to a nearby rural hospital staffed by a skeleton crew, only to become trapped by a gathering of hooded cultists, and grotesque creatures.
The Lighthouse (2019) -- is an American film directed and produced by Robert Eggers, from a screenplay he wrote with his brother Max Eggers. It stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson as nineteenth-century lighthouse keepers in turmoil after being marooned at a remote New England outpost by a wild storm.
Cold Skin (2017) -- is an French-Spanish science fiction-horror film directed by Xavier Gens and based on the 2002 novel of the same name by Albert Sånchez Piñol.
On the edge of the Antarctic Circle, a ship approaches a desolate island, far from all shipping lanes. On board is a young man who is on his way to assume the post of weather observer and live in solitude at the end of the earth. He finds no trace of the man he has been sent to replace, just a deranged castaway who has witnessed a horror he refuses to name. For the next twelve months, his entire world will consist of a deserted cabin, trees, rocks, silence and the surrounding sea.
Note: I wasn't gonna include this but after watching The Lighthouse I figured why not. It certainly fits with the theme.
Underwater (2020) -- is an American science fiction action horror film directed by William Eubank. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Vincent Cassel, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher Jr., Mamoudou Athie, and T.J. Miller.
After an earthquake destroys their underwater station, six researchers must navigate two miles along the dangerous, unknown depths of the ocean floor to make it to safety in a race against time.
Offseason (2021) - is an American supernatural horror film written and directed by Mickey Keating. It stars Jocelin Donahue, Joe Swanberg, Richard Brake, and Melora Walters.
Upon receiving a mysterious letter that her mother's grave has been vandalized, Marie quickly returns to the isolated offshore island where she's buried. Just as she arrives, the island closes for the season as the bridges get raised until springtime. Left stranded, Marie soon realizes that something is not quite right as she has one strange interaction after another. She must now unveil the mystery behind her mother's troubled past to make it out alive.
Annihilation (2018) -- is an science fiction psychological horror film written and directed by Alex Garland, based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Jeff VanderMeer. It stars Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny, and Oscar Isaac.
The story follows a group of explorers who enter "The Shimmer", a mysterious quarantined zone of mutating plants and animals caused by an alien presence.
Lena, a biologist and former soldier, joins a mission to uncover what happened to her husband inside Area X -- a mysterious quarantined zone that is expanding across the American coastline. Once inside, the expedition discovers a world of mutated landscapes and creatures, as dangerous as it is beautiful, that threatens both their lives and their sanity.
Event Horizon (1997) -- is an science fiction horror film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and written by Philip Eisner. It stars Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan and Joely Richardson.
Set in 2047, it follows a crew of astronauts sent on a rescue mission after a missing spaceship, the Event Horizon, spontaneously appears in orbit around Neptune, only to discover that a sinister force has come back with it.
The Mist (2007) -- (also known as Stephen King's The Mist) is an American science-fiction horror film based on the 1980 novella The Mist by Stephen King. The film was written and directed by Frank Darabont. The film features an ensemble cast, including Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden, Nathan Gamble, Andre Braugher, Sam Witwer, Toby Jones, Frances Sternhagen, Buck Taylor, Robert Treveiler, William Sadler, Alexa Davalos, David Jensen, Chris Owen, Andy Stahl, and future The Walking Dead stars Jeffrey DeMunn, Laurie Holden, Melissa McBride, and Juan Gabriel Pareja.
After a violent storm, a dense cloud of mist envelops a small Maine town, trapping artist David Drayton and his five-year-old son in a local grocery store with other people. They soon discover that the mist conceals deadly horrors that threaten their lives, and worse, their sanity.
The Cellar (2022) -- is an supernatural horror film written and directed by Brendan Muldowney. It's an international co-production between Ireland and Belgium. It also starsElisha Cuthbert and Eoin Macken.
It follows a family whose daughter mysteriously vanishes in the cellar of the large estate they have just moved into.
Glorious (2022) -- is an American comedy horror film directed by Rebekah McKendry, and starring Ryan Kwanten and J. K. Simmons.
The film involves a heartbroken man who encounters a strange, all-knowing entity in a rest stop bathroom stall.
Bonus:
These are either based on Lovecraft's works, have Lovecraftian influence and references or gives off strong feels like one (even unintentionally).
Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities (2022)
The Rig (2023)
Stranger Things - Season 2
True Detective - Season 1

Hi, Fukase anon here! Sorry, It never occurred to me that people may have a hard time coming up with things for characters they don't know a lot about. Sorry :( /gen
Anyways, I really love the clown and red theme ideas! Also, since Vocaloid is technically a music software, I was thinking some music-themed names as well! Also, as long as this isn't too specific, could you maybe do some X-themed things since there's a lot of Xs in his design?
I also like the idea of the darker, edgier themes, but I'd rather not have anything explicitly horror/slasher/demon related... as someone who kins Fukase, being associated with that stuff brings back some rough memories :( /nm
I'm sorry if I'm being too specific or picky or anything like that, and I hope everything I've said makes sense! Once again, thank you in advance :)

Sun Myung Moon invested nearly $3 million in a cruel chinchilla farm at Boonville
Tumblr media
Chinchillas are smart: dolphins, porpoises and chinchillas can retain the ability to differentiate between 'p' and 'b', but they don’t develop language. They suffer when they live their lives in small cages.
Wikipedia:
Chinchillas are easily distressed, and when they are unhappy, they may exhibit physical symptoms.
In nature, chinchillas live in social groups that resemble colonies, but are properly called herds. Herd sizes can range from 14 members up to 100, this is both for social interaction as well as protection from predators.
As pets, Chinchilla not only need scrupulous physically care, like temperature control, diet control, but also psychological care, which refers to simply, playing with them. It is probably correct to say that the chinchilla is more sensitive psychologically than physically. It can survive an astonishingly bad diet, mistreatment and poor physical environment if psychological factors such as those caused by moving the animal from its accustomed quarters or shipping it.

Paul Werner on Moon’s chinchilla providence: “In October 1983 we acquired our second farm and upon Father's request, started breeding chinchillas, in October 1984, after investing some time and money to accommodate them. They are very sensitive animals and require a certain temperature, meaning we had to install a heating system for the wintertime and air-conditioning for the summer. They are also most content listening to classical music.”
from the Personal Testimony of Rev. Paul Werner, May 1985
The business was probably called “American Chinchillas” which was connected to One Mind Farm, Inc., 14751 Hwy 128, Boonville, CA 95415.
One Mind Farm, Inc (Active). Date Established: Feb 17, 1981. The entity has been operating for 41 years and 9 months. In 1981 it may have been registered at 818 West Seventh St. 2nd Fl., Los Angeles, CA 90017

Sun Myung Moon’s teaching of the three blessings meant nothing to him.
Second blessing: Moon had illegitimate children (Hee-jin Moon +) while married to his first wife (Sun-gil Choi), and another (Sam Park) while married to Hak Ja Han. He showered her with cash and luxury goods. (ref. Nansook Hong)
Third blessing: While out fishing, Moon threw trash in the oceans and watched ginseng bottles as they bobbed into the distance. Moon condemned chinchillas to lives of suffering for the gain of his own family.
Some of these businesses may have been used for laundering money, as Nansook Hong explained. A lot of cash came in from Japan. (link below)

IWTV, 1x06, part 2.
Tumblr media
Now you're just torturing yourself, Lestat. :( Get some respect and leave.
Tumblr media
When will you stop bullshitting him with this spectacle? He's more than 500 old. Stop it.
Tumblr media
They both deserve better but somehow don't see it? Will this misery ever end?
Tumblr media
APPLAUDING. POETIC CINEMA!
I still think "There's life in the old lady yet!" is better, but this is a masterpiece of its own kind. Just a little silly conductor hat added, but what a change. <3
Tumblr media
Two babies. To think an actual dog was nervous and Sam tried to comfort it, ahh.
Tumblr media
I adore him. He's everything. I low key want to grab Sam and never let go. What a performance.
Magnificent. Iconic. Breathtaking.
Perfect in every way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Crying and listening to the dog licking his fingers. Crying some more. I love him, your honor. Friendship ended with Louis and Claudia completely, friendship started with Lestat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't care about ANYTHING else from now on. Lestat and the doggo. ;_____; Lestat petting the doggo with both hands ;_____; Sam, thank you for your service.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The dog enjoys itself and LIVES after the petting session (it would never if Louis was there), with Lestat being so gentle and loving towards it, "Back in your cage, sweetheart." Sam gives the performance of the century while having the time of his life, his hand shining from the dog's saliva.
The train scene is e v e r y t h i n g. Consider me lost in him, completely.
On another note, did he seriously just threatened Claudia with finding Bruce, telling him where Claudia is, and letting him rape her again? DID HE or is it just my mind? Cause, after all, he did say it was "very poor taste".
Tumblr media
You should have, then. This is all very mean and toxic but I can't help but love him and be biased towards him. He sees right through her & still allows her to go with her plan to kill him. And I hate every second of it. I hate the idea of it. I hate even thinking of it.
Tumblr media
Everything about him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
an au in which Lestat doesn't let Claudia continue with her plan. an AU in which he's safe and well and never injured and— ;__; i want him to snap her neck and turn her to dust, i am losing it here. her inner monologue and Louis' reaction is straight out of the book, I can give them that. how Louis holds onto Lestat still being alive and trying to convince Claudia to stop, but also not being able to resist to the full extend.
Tumblr media
The entire moment when Lestat frowns as Claudia outplays him in chess. "No, that can be." STOP IT. STOP IT. S T O P _ I T, i am going to lose my mind over him getting his throat cut. It's been a while since I felt this sick about a piece of media and let it get to me.
I just want to hug him. Or protect, even. Hello, darkness, my old friend.
Tumblr media
Crying. I think it's time for bed for me, too. Sam is... truly something else, playing that outburst. And I hate how Claudia speaks for Louis, tries to convince him, "You want to kill him too. And you'll enjoy doing it." Thinking about the book and how miserable Louis was about the idea of killing him and when Lestat was choking on the poison and his own blood as Claudia was stabbing him. This is nauseating.
"Rashid, are you awake?"
"I can be."
I'm so curious about the nature of their relationship. What lies in the core of it & what they want eventually from it. If Armand has another plan for Louis.
Young Daniel is basically Jeff Goldblum.
The reveal is perfect. This was, for once, a good episode.
P.S.:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Contrary to me crying at a chess scene, at least I've been blessed with a hand and nails. I need an entire gifset with his hands.

definitely feeling certain ways about how revolution is going to go
first, undisputed kingdom is PROBABLY gonna have a clean sweep - if they don't, I'd expect at least Wardlow to win the scramble
i don't expect adam page to win, and either samoa joe's gonna retain or swerve's gonna pin page to win.
sting's the first retiree in AEW - either he's going to win and surrender the title, leaving probably BCC to pick it up in a tournament - or bucks are gonna take it and continue their EV(il)P arc, likely running up against BCC - but that's based on the impression i have that FTR isn't gonna remain in the title picture, which might be wrong - i kind of expect ftr to win their match but not keep winning after that
I feel like daniel bryan has to win the continental classic - it's his last year full time, so he's gonna win it and do a nice meaty run with ROH and NJPW, dropping it within 8 months, possibly at forbidden door
i think ospreay's gonna win, but i think the storyline of cracks forming that I IMAGINE happening in the don callis family would work equally well with either winning
i WANT daniel garcia to win, but I feel like it's closer to 50/50 than I'd like for Cage to retain. I lean garcia would win though
I think Toni Storm's gonna retain, and if she DOES, deonna's gonna win it off her at Double Or Nothing, provided Mercedes Mone doesn't enter the title picture

Restitution v. Imprisonment
youtube
Introduction
Programs of restitution by offenders to their victims should be instituted on a wide scale as the primary means of dealing with non-violent criminal behavior. Charles Colson and Daniel Benson address the issue of how to treat convicted persons and their victims.[1] There are two primary rules or assertions that are addressed in their essay Restitution v. Imprisonment.[2] Basically, restitution is an act making the victim of a crime whole again. Often, this means a payment of monetary value to the victim for a crime that was done to them. In contrast, imprisonment is the warehousing of persons convicted of crimes. Frequently this means cages, concrete, and guards. If you have been charged with a crime, you should call me. I am a Criminal Justice Lawyer.
Imprisonment
Currently, there are over 2,000,000 people locked up in the United States of America’s mass incarceration system.[3] This is costing the U.S. taxpayer billions. Imprisonment represents a legitimate way to place violent persons away from society for the safety of society. Imprisonment has evolved into a systematic tool of oppression far from what should be permitted ethically. Violent offenders should be imprisoned, this would follow the Christian Worldview, “whoever kills any man shall surely be put to death.”[4]
I am heavily persuaded that restitution is a more equitable avenue for non-violent criminal offenses. Placing the victims of non-violent crime in better position then what they had been in prior to the perpetration which had come upon them would serve society. Though, there must be a limit to that in the since of recidivism, which at a certain point should lead to imprisonment. The effects on the community however, of imprisoning individuals for non-violent crimes is not wholly justified.[5] Recidivism represents half of all prisoners.[6]
Restitution
Restitution is a far better choice for both perpetrators and victims of non-violent crime. Certainly, restitution would also be a better choice for the American taxpayer.[7] Paying back the victim of a crime would entail the need for a mechanism to deal with that sort of redesignation of the penal system. A way for the perpetrator to meaningfully pay back the victims. This follows the Christian Worldview, “if a man steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells is, he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.”[8]
A major issue with criminals who commit non-violent crimes like theft is that they would not have the money to pay back the victim of their crime. For example, Bernie Madoff whom stole vast sums of money from his victims spent a large amount of that money and now the money is gone, unable to be recompensed to the victims. Another example would be shoplifting, if someone stole from the grocery store, it is probably because they did not have the money to buy food in the first place. Therefore, as in both examples it would be difficult to obtain restitution from a perpetrator.
Conclusion
Charles Colson and Daniel Benson grapple with the conundrum of which is better for society and for the victims of crimes. The instillment of apprehension to commit crimes and the assured knowledge of confinement. Or, the focus of putting the victim in better position then they where in prior to the crime. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. For non-violent crimes, restitution is most likely the better option and, this is congruent with the Biblical Christian Worldview. If you have been charged with a crime you should call a criminal justice lawyer.
