COMING TO YOU LIVE ↠ LEE DAEYEOL’S INTERVIEW !

“isn’t it crazy? that we’re all going on tour together?” daeyeol had suddenly blurted out, not realizing the cameras were already beginning to roll just for some test footage. he had still been thinking about their manager explaining that type zero and v&a were planning on combining together to not only promote brand new songs, but to also have the opportunity to go on tour?!

on tour?! by themselves?!

the interviewer just seemed to chuckle at daeyeol’s seemingly random outburst and when daeyeol snapped back to reality, his ears flushed pink as he bowed in apology. the interviewer didn’t seem to mind too much as they started asking daeyeol some pretty typical questions to get their interview going.

“well, i’ve never been to jeju island before, so that was really new... having the opportunity to see more of korea was really eye-opening to me,” daeyeol said wistfully, eyes glancing around the room briefly as he suddenly remembered a specific situation.

“honestly, just this entire experience was great. i probably looked kind of silly all bundled up in the car when we were first going, but i don’t regret it. yushin hyung makes a good pillow,” he chuckled to himself. the interviewer then asked him to elaborate on his favorite place in jeju, and that took daeyeol a moment to really think.

“visiting the manjanggual cave was really amazing,” it was almost as if daeyeol could picture it again in his head.

“i’m not a good swimmer so yushin hyung held my hand when we went inside. i was really scared i was going to slip and fall, but he kept me safe,” daeyeol had always been a weak swimmer and his parents hadn’t had the opportunity to enroll him into swimming lessons, so he was less than confident even stepping near the cave. he had heard of too many stories of divers being trapped underwater, unable to escape. but yushin had convinced him just to try and eventually daeyeol did get in the water... it just took a lot of convincing.

“out of all of the members, i think the one who gave me the biggest impression would be jaesun-hyung,” and of course, here comes daeyeol’s slight starry-eyed expression as soon as he mentioned his older group member, hyung and someone he genuinely looked up to.

“he’s always been reliable and on this trip, it was no different than what he’s like at the dorms. i think i spotted him glancing at me every now and again when i was trying to learn how to float in the water. i still can’t even believe i debuted in the same group as him... he’s so talented and hard working. it really encourages me to work harder too,” daeyeol added, feeling a little shy that he had ranted so much about jaesun when they weren’t super close. they were friendly and daeyeol always listened and tried not to talk back.

so Panic! At the Disco is finally ending its run (or at least going on indefinite hiatus? More likely, it’s the first thing), and as much as I’ve hated the last two albums, it’s kinda wild how it’s the end of an era. The Emo Trinity, alive and thriving at last for the past 2 years—until the one side of it we had least expected to ever quit (even against his better judgement), has finally passed on. Isn’t that fucking weird?

Half of me is like “ding dong the witch is dead,” but the other half is almost in mourning, in some way. The End of All Things was closer than anyone ever imagined, I think, and it’s hard for something that’s been alive and kicking for all of your formative years to finally have run its course.

The trip and variety show did a lot for daeyeol, especially once he was finished being absolutely exhausted. What in the absolute hell was with the little kidnapping episode that he had experienced? He just wished he could've been in the car longer, relaxed and asleep against yushin.

Well, speaking of yushin... the older male had been someone he was getting closer with. Daeyeol was no means rude to his other group mates but he was finding that he was just happy hanging out with yushin. There wasn't much awkwardness betwen them and they were becoming even closer friends. Daeyeol was even starting to get optimistic.

Could he and yushin get even closer after this? They had had fun together during the variety show, laying all over each other and just hanging out... it was refreshing for sure!

Maybe he would text yushin to see if he wantsd to hang out later... as he stared at his phone, those familiar loan shark text messages were starting to show up again as his parents borrowed more and more money, showing off to their friends about their "rich and famous" idol son.

Yeah. Maybe he would call Yushin soon.
