Little Lost Hawk || Freya & Rye
Searching the Wildlands for a missing Nighthawk messenger was not at the top of Rye’s list of things he’d planned on doing for the day. Or week, for that matter. He was pretty sure Maerel must be running out of excuses to offer Oberon in Rye’s absence, but he couldn’t turn to the Nighthawks without finding some kind of answers. They were split mostly, between those that believed Torran had been kidnapped pr killed, and those that just thought he was an idiot and had gotten himself lost. Rye wasn’t sure which camp he was in, but he’d volunteered to go out and look for answers.
Footprints off the main path caught his attention, and he followed through the trees, closer tp Wisteria, but so much so that it looked like the fae had been going that way intentionally. Nt anywhere near the Solitary Clan’s lands either though, and as he got a better look at a more distinct print, it looked like the footprint was too small to be Torran’s. And the pattern was irregular, but graceful, purposeful. Not so much like how a city fae typically trekked through the Wildlands. More like a Solitary fae that knew the trees as well as any animal that inhabited the forest. When the tracks ended at a tree, his eyes rose to find a fae staring back at him, though not the one he’d been looking for. He laughed, jumping to gab a branch and swing himself up into the tree to perch near the girl. “What’re you doing out here, Free? Hiding from Harland?”

@dr-freya-robinson
Luke wasn’t used to having people over. The whole concept of having an apartment to get to at night, proper keys to a place were strange enough, but he couldn’t deny he liked the comfort of this life. He did miss the life on the road every once in a while, but he needed to make some changes and a roof to sleep under was a very nice one. It wasn’t anything luxurious or fancy, but it was better than roadside motels and stranger’s beds or couches to spend the night with. He tried to make it look as decent as possible however. He cleaned and vacuumed every corner of the place, and even bought one of those scented candles to make the living room smell and look a bit more bohemian. Luke chuckled at the end of his attempts, both hands on his hips as he shook his head a few times. This was just pizza and cheap wine, and could not understand why he’d made such an effort, but hey... it might pay off at the end, he thought, and if not, his roommates might as well thank him later.
Running a hand through his hair as his eyes caught a glimpse of the kitchen clock. The pizza had arrived some ten or fifteen minutes ago, and Freya was probably about to arrive hopefully, though he for sure wouldn’t mind having the pizza all for himself. He was starting to feel nervous even, biting on his thumb as he paced through the living room, rearranging the cushions on the couches over and over again until he heard a knock on the door. Luke rushed towards the door, looking through the peephole first before opening for her guest, a cheeky smirk stretching his lips. “You know the whole fashionably late thing is not an actual thing, do you?” He quirked an eyebrow, hanging himself from a side of the door before stepping aside, welcoming her into his apartment. “Welcome to Luke-a-land, Doc.”

Mr and Mrs Jager || Modern Spies AU
@freya-vadas
Mossad. The Institute. So final and so all consuming. It had been such since the formation of Israel, but since the yank of independence from the U.S, it was ever more so. Like a worm, it burrowed into the lives of every Israeli. Watching the Palestinians and anyone who showed inklings of sympathy. In a cruel comedy, the country had become the very thing it had been created to protect others from. A fascist controlling state, ever more paranoid about it’s neighbors and own citizenry since going into the wild from it’s old protector.
Ariel Jager stared out at the white board that decorated his kitchen. The special forces trained spy, who had traveled the world under a million names, killed many whose identities will never be known and had missions and briefings be his whole world for most of his life thought upon...dinner. It was odd, how the simple things seeped into a complex life. It was slipping into the first year of his deep undercover role for the U.S government and only now was he getting even a whift of the documents he was tasked with obtaining.
But even a double agents needed to cook, especially when they had fake wives to deal with. That was the hand he was dealt. Leave the U.S with his life and his world intact, but only as their new lackey and with a watcher. That came in the form of Talia Jager...not her real name of course, who sauntered the kitchen as he twirled the sharpie in his hands, seeming as unamused as always. Sometimes, in the twilight hours in their bed, he wondered how easy it would be to just choke the life out of her, so he wouldn’t have to see that unforgiving glare everyday.
The daily sparing told him fairly difficult. Ariel’s thickly accented voice floated into the stiff silence between them, as he tossed his pen casually at her, as if testing her reactions. “Evening to you too.”

~Good Tidings~ Freya & William
William strolled through the castle, visibly better. Life was quite the roller coaster right now, so it seemed wise to step away from it for a moment, away from the two red heads causing quite a rather load of stress to fall on his shoulders. His emotions rather tangled and confused. Work would help, but that would mean taking Elizabeth with him, and right now, he was of the believe that could just make everything worse.
Instead he headed to someone who would show him scorn anyway, but the kind he expected. There was an odd reassurance with Freya. She’d had him and snipe at him regardless of anything, and there was a comfort in that. Not that he visited the lady to get insulted, but to pay back a favour, after all without her going to get help, William would have likely met his end in the forest, alone and cold.
He held a knapsack over his shoulder, bulging and full, the top of something poking through, wooden and smooth. The guards let him through after some small chat. Most knew him as loyal to the crown, though of course there were suspicions, his status as Helena’s fiancée gave him enough cover to have permission to visit her friend. The fortunate side effect of titles, even if none had been handed yet, the idea of it was enough.
Eventually he was lead inside Freya’s chamber, a smile already gracing his face as he stepped inside, though he seemed a little unsure of himself. It was such a big room, even a tall giant like himself felt lost in him. “I thought I’d come to visit my hero.”

Wings and Chit Chat || Freya & Lex
The best thing about being home was getting able to hang around his housemates. Sure there were times when he could find himself a bit overwhelmed, but at the end of the day he was grateful for them and for the almost constant company. When he made the promise to get chicken wings with Freya he knew he wasn’t going to pass it up. After sending her a quick text, he waited by the door adjusting the hat on his head. He wasn’t nervous about sitting and talking to her. It was more the fact that this would be the first time they had an honest conversation.

Hugs not Drugs **Freya and Oliver
Freya returned to the room, bronzed from a day out with Sarima and all smiley from a night at the movies with JJ. She entered quietly, unsure of whether or not Oliver would be sleeping. When she saw him awake, she gave him a smile and her usual cheerful, "Hiya, sweetie," before walking over to the fridge while tossing her cardigan and bag onto her bed. She kneeled down to be level with the mini fridge, opening it and noticing nothing but a couple of full water bottles with Oliver's name written on it. "Hey, do you mind if I have one?" she asked, looking over her shoulder and holding up one of the bottles.
Oliver was gone, he had been staring up at the ceiling for the last what must have been three hours, completely amused by the ceiling. It was his favourite way to spend time, because he wasn't constantly criticizing himself. He had spent the day writing music, not whole songs because his concentration was shit but bit and pieces, all of which he adored. The peace that came with MDMA was amazing, and totally worth not eating all day or whatever else the side effects were. Now he was donned in a T-shirt, doodling on his arms as he stared up at the ceiling. Oliver had been drawing on particular octopus for the last however long and loved it to pieces, thinking that it would make an excellent tattoo. "Yeah, yeah, go ahead." Oliver waved in her direction, a bit mad at himself that he would be so selfish with his water, what was his was everyone's after all. "You can have it all," He said, grinning loopily, having the uncontrollable urge to hug Freya but needing to finish his octopus before he did. Maybe they could ballroom dance? Oliver always wanted to try that.
"Thanks," she smiled, standing back up and shutting the fridge. Not realizing just how parched she was until she had a water bottle in hand, Freya opened the bottle and took a huge gulp as she walked over and sat on the edge of her bed facing Oliver. She grimaced at the taste, looking at the bottle in her hand. It was clear and it was definitely water, but it didn't taste like water. But, it didn't taste like vodka either, which was what people normally disguised as water. She must've just imagined it. Shaking her head, Freya capped the bottle and placed it on the bedside table for later. "What're you drawing?" she asked curiously as she leaned forward to get a closer look, not thinking that he might not want her in his personal space.
"An octopus," Oliver grinned, lifting up his arm so that she could see his tiny masterpiece. It's legs were going every which way and it had a tiny grin adorning its face,making the entire thing overwhelmingly endearing to Oliver. Not wanting to change the image at all after showing Freya, Oliver tossed the uncapped sharpie onto the bed, sitting up to wrap Freya in a hug. It didn't matter that they didn't exactly know each other, everyone usually liked hugs. Oliver loved them, and Freya was someone safe to hug. "I'm so glad your back," Oliver said, not pulling away. 'Do you know how to dance? I really wanna dance, like ballroom dance. Nothing weird." He assure her, even in his state not wanting to make her feel as if he wanted to bump 'n' grind.
"What a little cutie!" Freya giggled as she took in the drawing, her eyes following the outline of each leg of the octopus. It almost surprised her when he pulled her into a hug, making her go from her bed onto the edge of his. Because of her tour, she had been away from the Prove house when Oliver had arrived and hadn't really gotten a chance to talk and get to know him since getting back just recently. That didn't mean she was taken aback or anything of that sort though. She was definitely a hugger. "Aw, Oliver," the maternal figure cooed, "You should've come to the beach with me and Sari! I didn't know you were here alone. I would've dragged you out if I'd known." She rubbed his back in the hug before laughing at the prospect of ballroom dancing. "I can dance, but I don't know about ballroom dancing," Freya admitted, pulling away to look at him, "I don't think I've ever properly ballroom danced. We can try though!"
"I thought so," Oliver beamed at Frey, still holding onto her tight though, so she had no idea of his happiness. "Naw, I don't like the sun. I freckle and burn. No good," Oliver's skin had just gotten back to normal, he had grown up in New Mexico and everyday there was one where he was just covered in tiny dots. Going to California he had learned how to deal with it, and covered himself in spf 80 every time he went outside, or else he would break out again. Now, it didn't seem that big a deal, but it was night time and by the time the sun came out again Oliver would be back to hating his freckles. "Thats so nice of you to say," Oliver squeezed her once more before releasing the girl quickly and jumping off the bed, looking around for his laptop, he had something they could slow dance too on that. "I have, with my sister, I'll lead," he told her with a grin, walking around the room quickly before spotting his old laptop and wretching it out from underneath his covers. "Okay..okay" he was speaking mostly to himself at this point, scrolling through the music before finding the perfect song 'Your hand in mine' by Explosions in the sky.
"That's why you lather on the sun screen!" Freya laughed, feeling like she was floating. It wasn't like this was a particularly amazingly exciting conversation--it was about Oliver hating the sun--but she couldn't help but feel immensely happy. It wasn't much of a change from how she felt after spending time with JJ, but the constant worries in the back of her mind seemed to be fading too. She nodded, getting up onto her feet too. Moments ago, she had been so ready to change into her pajamas and cuddle up under the covers, but she suddenly felt like she was bubbling over with energy. As the music started, Freya had a split second of worry, thinking if she should've said no, if JJ would think this was weird, but she quickly shook her head. She was so head over heels for JJ and she and Oliver were just friends. Plus, it was hard to worry when she couldn't stop another eruption of giggles for no apparent reason. "How do we even start?" she asked, not used to being the one that was being taught.
"Okay, okay, follow my lead." Oliver told her right off the bat, grin overwhelming his face because this was gonna be great. Ballroom dancing always made Oliver feel as if he was floating. Placing one of his hands on her right, so that he was holding onto her side. he clasped her other hand in his, "We just step in a circle and spin around, feel free to watch our feet," He would try to spin her, it would be great, like something out of a beauty and the beast movie.
She nodded, holding his hand and draping her other arm on his opposite shoulder. Her eyes were already glued to the floor, not wanting to step on his feet and also wanting to get it right. Freya was such a perfectionist, even now when they were just joking around. She couldn't help but giggle from time to time as she followed his steps. At first, there was a wait between his movement then hers, but the longer they went, the faster she was getting it. "We're ballroom dancing!" she squealed excitedly. She would've jumped up and down if they weren't busy dancing.
"Hell yeah we are," Oliver loved that she was having just a good a time as he. Moving felt so good right now, as if he was being fufilled by each movement of his feet, even if he did stumble and half of his movements were to keep out of Freya's way. "We should do this for like-like a show. We could go on dancing with the stars! That would be the RADDEST! I can learn to salsa!"
Freya laughed, not really thinking about what could have caused her to be feel so elated, and honestly strange. The cause didn't seem important right now. She was having fun. "I'd vote for us!" she giggled, throwing a fist into the air before resting her hand back down on his shoulder again. "Salsa!" Freya jumped away from him, immediately breaking out into her version of the salsa. With her background, she was a great dancer, so it was easy to cover up that she didn't know how to do the salsa properly to the untrained eye.
"Wow, you're like amazing," Oliver complimented her, breaking away so that he could watch her, she moved so well. It reminded him of his last girlfriend, Sara, who would dance like a gypsy but who's kisses made Oliver feel like bugs were running around under his skin. "Everyone would, it would be great," he clapped along to the beat of how he thought Freya was dancing, the song playing along in the background not matching her movements at all. "I bet they have a dance competition here, we should enter!"
"Oh stop it!" Freya laughed, shaking her head. She would've stopped dancing then, but his clapping encouraged her to dance for a couple more steps before she collapsed onto her bed with her arms spread out on either side. She laid that way for a moment, completely still, before propping herself up with her elbows so she could look at him as they spoke. "It'd be wrong if they didn't," she nodded. "Oh! That could be fun! I'm not any good though. We would never win."
"You just said we would win 'Dancing with the stars', but we couldn't win this? Oh what about a singing competition! Just for fun!" His music had shuffled by now, onto something slow and sad. It reminded Oliver of the day before, god he hated traveling. "I wanna hear you sing, do you have any covers! You sound so pretty when you laugh I bet y-your singing is greattttt," he dragged out his words, wanting Freya to really hear what he was saying.
"I mean, you could, but I'd just bring you down!" she smiled, barely hearing the music in the background. She felt like she was floating on cloud nine and she couldn't tell you why. Freya wasn't the type to be offended that he hadn't heard her music before. It wasn't even a thought that crossed her mind. "God, I hate my laugh," she shook her head, but smiled, "What song do you wanna hear?"
"No you wouldn't! Whats with all that talk! I bet you're awesome," and he did, they didn't let anyone with less than solid gold talent running through their blood into the competition. "Why do you hate your laugh, its great, like your voice." If Oliver was of sound mind he would realize the compliments he let out so easily could easily be seen as flirting, which wasn't the case at all. He just wanted Freya to realize she was great. "Which one is your favourite? I wanna hear that one, I want you to tell me about your process and ..all that stuff,"
"No, it's so loud and obnoxious," Freya couldn't help but laugh as she put that exact thing down. She went silent, running through all the covers she had done. There were so many--both that she had done during Prove and those before. She sat up completely so she wasn't restricting her diaphragm before she started to sing, "I wanted you bad, I'm so through with that, 'cause honestly you turned out to be the best thing I never had, you turned out to be the best thing I never had, and I'm gonna' always be the best thing you never had." The pain that usually came with singing those words seemed muted and so far away. For the first time, Freya felt like she could barely feel them and she looked over at Oliver with a small smile. "I usually cover songs that I connect with the most. If they don't have any meaning to me, then I can't sing them as well as they should be sung," she said, choosing her words carefully.
"Naw," Oliver reassured her, about to go on about how it was throaty and reminded him of his mothers before Freya started singing."Wow that..thats great." He was being perfectly honest, her voice was beautiful and strong. "Girl, can you like, sing me to sleep?" Oliver asked, eyes still bright, but he could always sleep. It had to be about three or so by now. "Yeah I can see that, you sing with some serious emotion. Its like...the best."
Freya gave him a small smile. Singing was everything to her, especially now that her mom was gone. It'd always been the two of them, her mom in the audience cheering her on. And now, it was just her, so if someone thought singing had been Freya's life before, they wouldn't know what to think now. "I can do that. Roommate perks," she laughed with a small nod. "Thanks. I still haven't heard any of your stuff, you know," she said, stifling a yawn, feeling like she had just hit a wall of exhaustion. "Maybe tomorrow before we leave? I'm so tired," Freya suggested, already scooting back to the pillows so she could slip under the covers.
"Yeah, thats fine though..oh yeah.. we do leave tomorrow don't we?" Oliver lay on how own blankets, watching as Freya settled down. He would drink more of his 'water' when the high left him. Going through the rest of the cruise, or even the Prove competition, without that would be hell. Listening to Freya's breathing slow back down Oliver picked the uncapped sharpie off his bed, adding a small fish friend on his arm.

creative outlets → freya&shiloh
Ever since she had moved into the house, Shiloh had found solace in Freya as a music buddy of sorts. Whenever she wrote something, the other girl was sort of like her second set of ears. Freya wasn't afraid to point out any faults in Shiloh's music, or give any critiques that are needed. She was brutally honest, without being rude about it, and that was exactly what Shiloh needed. Usually she would never let anyone read her music journal, but she had to learn how to go to others for help and advice. That's what this business was about: Working with others to better your talent. And she's gotten so much better with the other girl's help. While their music tastes weren't exactly the same, they had some of the same elements, and that made it easier for the pair to help each other out.
Running her fingers through her freshly flat ironed hair, Shiloh glanced around her room, her eyes searching for the book she had gotten over a decade ago. Her music journal, which was actually just a junky composition book with doodles covering the cover, had been her most prized possession for as long as she could remember. She had gotten it when she was very young, around nine or ten, and the first few songs in the front of the book were obviously written by a child, but as you moved through the book, the songs began to mature as Shiloh did. By the time she was sixteen, her songs were actually good. Record label worthy good, but of course, getting your name out there and getting discovered wasn't as easy as people made it seem.
It seemed as though no matter how many videos she had uploaded onto YouTube, or how many auditions she had been on, it would never work out for her. She had been so close to giving up, but then this opportunity came along, and she was finally getting her chance. She was finally making it. All she had to do was push herself to work harder, harder than she ever had before. It wouldn't be easy, but Shiloh was sure that she could do it. She could do anything if she put her mind to it.
Spotting the familiar book across the room on her bed, halfway shoved under her pillow, Shiloh let out a sigh of relief and went to go grab it, before she quickly made her way out of her room and towards Freya's. She figured they could make there way over there together instead of going separately. Plus, it would give them more time to chit chat and gossip and all things of the sort before they got down to business. "Freya, the music train's leaving. Don't let it leave without you!" She shouted through the door, letting her knuckles rap against the door a few times, before she leaned against the doorframe and waited for her to answer.

At Odds|| Freya and Reagan
Reagan sighed as she set her phone down, recognizing the name of the club and making her way there. Thankfully, her dad had gotten a ride to the airport, leaving her with the car for the weekend. It was a rare occurrence, but she took advantage of it when she could. The redhead sighed, leaning on her hand as she lost her thoughts in the sound of the radio and passing cars as she drove, suddenly finding herself at the club Freya was at and pulling up to the curb. She grabbed her phone out of the center console, sending a text to the girl and waiting.
She didn't really know the other besides they shared a drink or five a few nights ago. Freya seemed alright. Reagan wouldn't consider them friends by any means, but she did consider the other female a possible squad member so that was something. Maybe that was part of her problem lately, she didn't have anyone at this school she could roll with. It was odd. She felt out of place and out of control; which she really hated. When the other approached the car, Reagan replaced her look with a smirk, unlocking the door and looking Freya over as she stepped inside. "Heyyy." She chimed, putting the car in drive and pulling out of her spot.

Free to Breathe Again || Freya & Rye
Being back in Wisteria wasn’t the worst thing in Rye’s mind, but being there with Alekto certainly ranked among his worst trips. Having had to be present to try and convince Kit that the glamoured archmage was her shadow was even worse. At least Harland was there, though a few months ago, Rye wouldn’t have considered that even a small blessing. Now though, he at least had someone on his side, while Maddox was win Belladonna being questioned by Oberon, and he was being forced to lie to Kit.
It was only when Rye was certain that Harland would be around to keep an eye on Alekto that the Pooka slipped out of Thornhill, following Keelin’s vague directions to the home of Poppy Shore. After knocking on the door and being told that Freya had left a little while ago, Rye wandered the area near the Backwoods. He’d known Freya long enough that he hoped he would be able to find her most recent hiding spot. He paused in his wandering when he saw a what looked nearly like a cave formed by tree trunks, not unlike a similar formation just outside the Wolf Clan territory, where he and Freya had hidden from their mothers on occasion, wasting away days talking about everything and carving odd little trinkets out of whatever stones and fallen debris they could find.
“Freya?” Rye called out, leaning down a bit to peer in between the tree trunks. He smiled warmly at the familiar blonde. He dropped his glamour almost as an afterthought. The same way one released a breath of relief when they were around family. The burn marks that surrounded his neck reappeared, and his long hair shortened to an almost uncomfortable length he’d had to cut it to when Black had burned him, much of his hair along with his skin. Burn marks were also scattered along his arms, and fully covering his palms where he’d grabbed at the Duke. But his smile didn’t fade, relieved and glad to see his little sister after so long. “Thought I might find you here.”

Honouring A Deal || Freya & Oberon
Oberon stood outside Freya’s home, checking his pocket watch. It was a heavy thing, a new invention from a Germanic man, and not many even in court could afford one, but he had a penchant for things that were both beautiful and practical and this ‘pocket watch’ was just that. It hung off a gold chain and sat in his overcoat pocket away from few. Of course, he was invited in, but he’d rather meet his fiancée standing, this was an important day, and one he wanted her to feel to brevity of. To him, standing there, cane and all, he might see him as a proper merchant more than the man she was being made to marry.
Still, there was some doubts. The questions he’d have to deal with if she didn’t seem up to the task. They’d made a deal, but he wouldn’t risk his business if she showed no acumen for it. The thoughts were broken by the sound of steps, Oberon looking up from his watch. “Ah, Lady Freya, good to see you’re well.”

Girl's Night Out || Freya and Saffron
Saffron was dreading this moment as soon as it'd been presented. She liked the girls around here well enough, but couldn't be sure as to who would go along with it. She still wasn't. One thing was for sure though, she had to get dressed up and she hadn't done that in years. As she fluffed her blonde curls and fixed her makeup, she thought through the plan for the evening. She'd go by Freya's room, invite her out for drinks and let things progress as they should. She sighed one last time, letting out all of her aggravation with those damn sisters.
Saffron made her way down the hall to Freya's door and knocked, waiting for the other blonde to open it. When it did finally open, she put on her best smile and straightened up. "Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to go get a few drinks. I found an awesome lounge just up the road." She said. She'd learned from the best that her body language had to be open to anything. It was a perk of working with both people and animals.

Note to Freya
Freya,
I've been bought for the first time since I have came here! Well kinda, Master Chase Meyer, have you heard of him? He has taken me for a trial week to see if I am a good slave and if he wants to keep me. I not sure if I should be this excited to finally be bought. But you are my only friend so I couldn't leave with out telling you goodbye. The first chance I get I will come visit you, or maybe you can visit me if I ask Chase!
I have to run. Don't forget me!
Sophia.

Untithed: The Reckoning || Rye, Robin, Freya & Harland
A trip into Wisteria to test the waters proved the scene to be as reckless as the pictures painted by the Magpie’s Nest. Riots broke out, some buildings he’d seen only his last trip there had been destroyed or at least were in bad disarray. There was a small crowd formed outside a building labeled as a doctor’s clinic on the edge of Olia. Yet no matter where masses seemed to gather, they seemed to shy away from their Queen’s castle. It was as though an invisible barrier were erected around it, with most people shooting furrowed or angry glances towards it, but always walking on the furthest side of the street when they had to pass it.
It felt unnervingly like Belladonna.
So Rye was glad to hear from Freya soon after, and her taking him up on the suggestion that he knew where the human tithes were being kept, and could lend a hand to getting them out. He was on his way there, to meet Freya and her father under the cover of glamour and night, at the edge of the Devil’s Garden. He wondered if they knew how close their meeting place was to the Nighthawk’s hideout. If they’d even heard of the rebel group. Depending on how the night went, perhaps he’d make a few introductions. But the Nighthawks chose their battles too carefully, and Rye was done standing on the sidelines.
A rustle behind him made Rye turn sharply, bow drawn and arrow notched before he’d even turned fully. “Who’s there?”
