Dunno if the venting thing is still going but I'm so fuckin angry about any ideas/aus/general fun about "what if the phantom thieves were evil/could be evil?" is shot down by "stop ruining the phantom thieves and just make your own tryhard edgy ocs" like gee, thanks for shitting on a legit interesting idea just to shove your "correct way to enjoy P5" down everybody's throats again (I'm especially salty after that happened to one of my fave artists grumble)

Like canon's canon and fanon's fanon! Unless the situation is trying to keep it as canon as possible (like a novelization fic, or a sequel fic or something I dunno), the two really shouldn't be butting heads. TT0TT

1. When are you usually online?  Currently, it is 8:30pm. I am usually on at nights whenever my little one is asleep. And mostly it’s hit or miss most nights--I’d like to get on after work, but eh? I try to get on sometime between 8:30-9pm most nights.

2. What verses are you involved in outside of this page? Besides this blog, I have a multimuse ( @tantalizingmuses​ ) that I am almost never on but REALLY need to get back on there.

3. What is your biggest RP pet peeve? Not being able to advance the plot in someway. It kills the thread and is harder to respond to.

4. Are you drawn to specific types of muses? Gosh. I really like ones who are relate-able and perhaps able to go into detail more. Kind of like the muses that aren’t in the limelight either because then I can go to town and let them shine!

5. Are there recurring themes in your writing that people might not notice? Hmm. I feel like my writing loops around? Or I only go into detail whenever I am invested in a RP? Sometimes I just let my fingers go to town and let my mind wander.

6. What are your favorite RP trends? What if scenarios! GOD I am a sucker for those and helps me flesh out Fuuka more. And arcana-swap threads too--those are fun to try out sometime in the future if I can get myself motivated to do it.

7. What is your process for starting a new story with someone? I usually talk to them on here or on Discord and discuss if it’s appropriate for Tumblr. Some have not been. But we always try to bounce ideas back and forth to each other and boom! something works out.

8. How do you feel about duplicates? I MISS seeing duplicates! I enjoy seeing them on my dash because then I can see how they RP their muse compared to mine. It is exciting!

9. How long have you been involved in roleplaying? Since...2012. So 10 years for sure. Started in college while I THINK I was looking for Persona 3 stuff and saw an Akihiko and Junpei RP and that was that.

10. Is there a muse or verse you wish you could write in, but haven’t? From Persona in general, I’d LOVE to RP Dojima--just cause I can totally relate to him (being a parent and all). A verse I’d love to write would be Fuuka and Rise swapping places--just to have Fuuka interacting with the P4 gang and changing the circumstances sounds so much fun, tbh!

I updated my Rules as a celebration on getting some of my energy back, I’d appreciate if you read them. The most important change in it is that I have realized there’s specific troupes/ideas I don’t write due to not feeling they’re my thing. 

One of them happens to be Arcana Swaps, the liked Roleswap AU (inspired by Bloodswaps/Kidswaps from Homestuck, you’re welcome for this cursed information) in new gen Persona circles. I’m not the biggest fan of them, and know already how writing them wouldn’t be worth it in the end. There’s too many open questions in them like the following three and I consider them to be sth you need to write accurately enough to get a good overarching storyline.   1) How would the team dynamics change if different characters are a different life situations 2) What IT members would Naoto be closest to + how would that affect her experience at Inaba 3) How would Naoto’s impression to IT change and who would she approach first. F.ex the Kanji scenario is an iconic moment for her.

I’m happy for people who find joy in imagining a different Arcana version of Naoto, but they’re not my cup of tea to read or write. It’s only a smart thing for me to walk out on writing that with serious intentions before shit hits the fan: The only one I have at this moment has most of the core questions answered and it’s probably the one I’ll keep since I actually have some ideas for it. 

This is the rule of thumb for AU-ish ideas for now: If I find your AU-ish idea to be interesting I will message you about it and you can take that as a sign of my interest. If you want to suggest me to write your AU idea what is a bit different to my vision I will listen to ideas, but in the end I have full rights to say no to it.

Rise

So we got Magician Rise here in this swap so you know what that means

Combat Rise!

For weapon, I gave her a crossbow type. She does a mix of buffing and healing, with minor damage.

Outside the TV, she's always been in Inaba. Living with her grandmother since her parents ran off to the city to find fortune and fame, only to never be heard from again. She spends a lot of time working at the little tofu shop, but she spends a lot working at Junes.

Her neighbors call her a traitor. How can she support the place putting them all out of business, including her own grandmother's place? But her grandma is sick, and the meds are so very expensive. The health plan Junes offers plus the pay have allowed her to take that weight of her grandma's back. If only she wasn't hissed at for it...

She's bi in this au, her best friend in the whole town is the new arrival, Kanji, and she's been a super fan of the Idol group Royale since they debuted. Her room has posters of her favourite member, Prince, and she uses her remaining paycheck cash to try to get his photo cards and such

(so. She freaks out a bit when he appears in town. And then disappears.)

Her and Kanji welcome the new first year in to their little group real easily. Naoto balances them out rather well. Plus, Rise still has it bad for him. Real bad.

Fool! Tomoe

Alright! Now I’m gonna go in and describe the personas of the party members and their changes. First up, Tomoe.

Firstly, Tomoe loses the giant fin on top of the motorcycle helmet, and are replaced with multiple tiny shark fins . Next, the weapon loses it’s second edge, becoming an only one-sided weapon. The armor that is around Tomoe’s waste is taken and the design is used for armor across all of Tomoe’s body. That’s about it for the design.

Stat and Moveset wise, Tomoe is pretty week. This is due to being a Wild Card’s initial persona, and is meant to be fused, so the movepool Tomoe has isn’t that deep.

Fanfics I Know I'll Never Write

Persona Edition

A fic where each chapter is one therapy session of Maki with different Persona characters called "The Sonomura Files". I never ended up doing it because I'm not an expert in psychology and would probably misinterpret something.

Bitches love Flowerchild fanfics. It's me. I'm bitches. I would probably focus more on comparing Joker!Jun and Joker!Akira. Of course Jun would go feral at one point, who do you take me for?

That PQ3 plot I wrote somewhere in this Tumblr.

That P1/P2/P3/P4/P5 crossover plot I also wrote somewhere in here.

A murder/mystery fanfic starring the Justice Arcana characters. It would have been called "Nemesis" and would have analyzed the different takes on justice that each member of this Arcana has. I just never bothered to figure out the plot, just that I wanted these guys to interact.

A Protag Swap AU to see how the different protags' personalities would have fared in different plots. I had the idea to place Yu in P1, Akira in P2, Naoya in P3, Minato in P4 and Tatsuya in P5.

A fanfic called "Falling Shards" where each chapter showed an insight in a universe where the protags and antagonists switched places. Kandori, Jun, Sudou, Ikutsuki, Adachi and Akechi would have been the protagonists.
