Did the last type of shoes you wore have laces? Yes, they did. All my sneakers have shoelaces, now that I think about it.
How much money did you spend yesterday? Yesterday was the literal first day in the month I didn’t have an agenda, so I spent the whole time on the couch, phone in hand, no money spent, nothing productive done – just the way I would’ve wanted it to pan out.
The day before that though, I may have spent a total of...I dunno, it probably reached ₱2500? I had two out-of-office activities and booked a total of three Grab rides (fortunately paid for by the company because by god are the rates RIDICULOUS these days); then I bought all my food from outside, too.
Are you CPR certified? Definitely answered this survey recently but whatever. I am not. I never seem to be able to retain CPR skills even though I’ve attended several workshops :/ What genre is your favorite movie? I loooooove me some drama. As long as there’s a strong tension point and a brilliant screenplay, I’m bound to enjoy a film.
Are you texting anybody right now? I have a disjointed conversation with Reena right now on Messenger - not text - but it’s more of us exchanging memes every now and then.
Who was the last person you were in a car with? The last Grab driver who took me home; our trip was from Manila to my village. Would you believe the booking came up to be nearly P700? P700. How insane. That single ride cost more than all my meals that day.  Do you like the picture on your license/I.D. card? Yeah because the nice staff at the LTO surprisingly let me smile with my teeth, so the photo actually turned out decent.
What’s your favorite thing to snack on while watching a movie? French fries. And I have to have bought it from this specific local French fry brand, otherwise I wouldn’t enjoy it as much.
When was the last time somebody hit on you? I don’t know. That’s not a thing that happens.
Was the last person you met a male or female? Guy.
Which one of your friends do you feel most comfortable around? Angela.
Do you own a map of the world? I mean I probably have a smaller version of it in the almanacs/trivia books I had as a kid (and still own), but I don’t have a map itself.
What brand is your underwear? I can’t recall.
What’s your favorite Thanksgiving food? That day is irrelevant to me.
Is the light on in the room you’re in? My night lamp is on. I rarely turn on my main bedroom light, though.
Who did you last spoon with? Idk.
Are you currently watching TV? Nopes. Have you ever had surgery or stitches? Never.
Do you own any clothing that has animal print? I don’t think so.
Does your family eat dinner together? Usually only when my dad is home. When it’s just us and mom, we will have occasionally have dinner together, and it’s always on the weekends.
Where do you work? I work for a public relations agency from home, but that might not be the case anymore soon.
Are you in high school? It’s been six years since I was in high school.
Do you have a TV in your room? Nope.
Are any of your electronics charging right now? My laptop is constantly plugged in now.
What was the last video game you played? I’m not sure about video games but I do play Rhythm Hive regularly on my phone.

How to keep track of expenditures for students (who lives expensively)
As a  busy student who frequently loses her money in her wallet (to shopping), and is having a hard time saving money (no discipline), this is how I keep track of expenditures.
Tumblr media
(c. dreamstime)
I know a lot of students who are away from their parents are having a hard time saving money because they were not taught right to do so, so here are some money saving tips I learned (the hard way) so that you don’t have to undergo through it, too.
1. 50-30-20 rule (Needs, Wants, Savings)
Tumblr media
(The Balance | Google Images)
To summarize the picture, this basically means allot your money to: 50% for your needs, 30% for your wants, 20% for your savings. Even if you are struggling to get by, never ever compromise your needs to prioritize and buy your wants. Wants can wait, your needs are essential.
Half of your money will be put to good use, this percentage should not be touched. If there are extra money, put it in your savings. The wants and savings percent may be interchanged, depending on the person and their priority.
2. Don’t buy something if you can’t afford it twice
This a  bit of a weird tip, but it actually helps. Think of something you want to buy, let’s say for example there's a sale on a high quality handbag. The bag that you like costs around P700, and you have P1000 left in your bank, would you buy it?
Technically, it’s a good price for a handbag but if you can’t afford it in your current bank statement account, then you shouldn't! This simple trick helps you prevent being bankrupt and homeless.
3. Wait for the craze to pass
If you want something that you know you don’t necessarily need, wait for your craze to subside. This means that think about it for a day or even a week, if you think the next day you don’t like it as much as you like the other day, then you would probably feel the same the next few months. If you forgot about it when a week has passed, then it would also end up the same way; forgotten somewhere in your house, untouched.
However, if you still feel like you like it after a day or so of thinking, then you probably  should go ahead and buy it, with the consideration on the tip above.
4. Do not join the bandwagon
The hype will die down, eventually. This happens all the time.
If you are well-disciplined, then these tips will stick with you. But I wasn’t. When I was in Grade 11 and freshly out of the house, saving money was one of the hardest things I tried doing, and still failed miserably. I was easy-to-scam a year ago. I still am, just not so much.
Just kidding.
When you have learned our lesson the hard way, taking matters into your own hands and being cautious is expected. It’s okay to indulge sometimes, especially when you deserve it, like you finished your exams, done the hardest thing to get down, etc. What matters is that you know how to control yourself and have discipline over money. So, be confident and cautious when using your money, and lean along the way!

Prepare to be captivated by the allure of Balut Island, a pristine gem nestled along the southern coast of Sultan Kudarat province in Mindanao. Positioned at the estuary of the Donaong River in Barangay Paril, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat, this breathtaking island stands as the largest among six captivating islets in the region.
Once inhabited by the Maguindanaons, it is commonly known as Balot/Balut/Donaoang Island, with its name “Balet” originating from the Maguindanaon term for “island.”
Natural Marvels of Balut Island
Balut Island is famous for its diverse marine ecosystem, providing a haven filled with a wide array of sea creatures such as turtles, clown fish, sea cucumbers, clams, and seashells.
Visitors have the incredible opportunity to witness the majestic blue whales and playful dolphins, making this destination an absolute must-see.
