Caregiver Katsuki Bakugo Headcanons

A/N: Hey!!! This is my first like. Writing related post. In a WHILE. Sorry about that!! But please feel free to request anything, I’m kinda bored. :P

Warnings: Minor swearing but I think that’s it ???

Bakugo is very aggressive. We all know this. Pretty much all the time, he’s aggressive and seemingly angry. And this does not waver or change, even when you’re regressed. So if you’re super sensitive, he probably wouldn’t be the best for you.

However, that’s not to say he doesn’t care. Quite the opposite, actually. He would die for you and actively goes out of his way to protect you.

Oh, he would get SO mad if anyone ever said anything remotely negative to you about your age regression. He wouldn’t even try to reason with them or have a debate he would straight up just tell them to kys 💀 (me core)

He does better with toddler or kid regressors, but baby regressors are fine as long as they can tolerate his naturally rough and callous behavior.

He did not know what the hell age regression was before he met you. Honestly, I feel like he’d come off as judgey at first. He doesn’t mean to, it’s just how he is. But then he’d go and research it a bit and realize that it’s not anything weird or fetishy and is instead a healthy coping mechanism.

He’s a little hesitant to be your caregiver at first. He says it’s because he isn’t sure if he wants to focus on anything other than training right now and being a caregiver is a lot of responsibility. That’s partially true. But it’s mainly really because he’s afraid he won’t be good at it and will just end up hurting you and potentially ruining one of your only healthy coping mechanisms.

It takes a lot for him to be able to open up to someone and take care of someone like that, but eventually, he does it. And he finds he enjoys it. He finds your little antics and your dependency on him really adorable.

He’s not embarrassed or ashamed that you age regress. I feel like nearly half of class 1-A regresses so it’s not unusual at all for you two to be in the common room, you sitting on his lap with a sippy cup in hand.

Sets you up on play dates with Kaminari and Mina all the time. He wants you to have fun and interact with other littles. Plus, they’re his friends and their caregivers are his friends too.

Takes a little bit to get used to nicknames as well. But finds he likes parental nicknames a lot more than he thought he would.

The first time you called him dada was something he will never forget. You were half asleep, snuggling in his chest, when you realized you were thirsty. You lazily grabbed his shirt and gently tugged on it and went, “Dada…juice…?”. He immediately knew what you wanted and he gave you the juice. He didn’t even register the nickname until a few seconds later and was really shocked. He didn’t say anything about it in the moment, though. He talked to you about it when you were big again and he clarified that he was okay with it and it didn’t make him uncomfortable.

Midoriya and Kirishima are his go-to babysitters. Mainly Midoriya because he’s more responsible than Kirishima. But Midoriya can get busy quite a lot. And Bakugo’s also a little anxious about you possibly liking Midoriya more than him, although he would rather die than admit that out loud lol.

He can cook. This is canon. This mf can cook like a 1950s housewife it is INSANE. He makes all your food for you, especially when you’re little. He likes taking care of you, even if he won’t really say it.

If you’re like me, and you tend to have really bad rage episodes and outbursts when you’re overstimulated or upset, he’s got you. He knows how to deal with that. He’s got a punching bag in his room that he lets you beat the shit out of if needed. He can make you laugh too. You’ll be beating the fuck out the punching bag and he’ll pretend like it’s a real person and say shit like “YEAH‼️‼️‼️ BEAT HIS ASS‼️‼️‼️🗣️🗣️🗣️” and it makes you giggle.

Surprisingly okay with physical affection. You wanna cling to him? That’s fine. Just listen to him if he tells you to get off of him. Respect his boundaries and don’t get in the way when he’s doing something important and it’s cool. 🙏

1. are you named after anyone? not that I know of. my name means the moon in hindi.

2. when was the last time you cried? i was quite close about a fortnight ago but held together, I think it's been a month or two since the last time i cried. as expected by anyone who follows me, it's because i was feeling despair from never having dated.

3. do you have kids? no

4. do you use sarcasm a lot? more than usual i think, but not especially so.

5. what sports do you play/have you played? the only one I'm good at rn is swimming! there's still a long way to go though, and I don't swim competitively. but i love it so much...

6. what’s the first thing you notice about other people? faces. sometimes i also map it onto an animal that immediately comes to mind when looking at a face.

7. what’s your eye color? dark brown, almost black

8. scary movies or happy endings? happy endings, i don't have the stomach to watch scary stuff

9. any special talents? i think walking essentially barefoot all the time on every surface (I got some zero support minimalist shoes and sandals) is sth I'm proud of now.

10. where were you born? east india

11. what are your hobbies? hmm, off the top of my head: linotype, papercrafts, painting, analog photography, solargraphy, swimming, reading, guitar, record-collecting, swing dancing (especially lindy hop!), cooking, watching motorsport, sim-racing, D&D/board-games when I can, educational youtube and political video essays... some of these things are a bit neglected atm

12. do you have any pets? nope, and probably can't have any for a while :(

13. how tall are you? 5’6” (168 cm)

14. favourite subject? so far in uni all my fluid dynamics classes were the best (though that doesn't mean I scored well :P). If I go beyond official education though I think history+anthropology is my most favourite.

15. dream job? nah. i've lost fascination for work. anything that's mentally engaging, reasonably interesting and pays the bills. for now hoping to get a thermal/flow r&d engineer gig somewhere close to home.

Charlie has a moment to be aware that he had fucked up before the consequences of his actions have him by the front of his green kitchen jumpsuit. His eyes are wide, arms up between them with palms out facing, as though he could possibly push Google back if the android didn’t want to be pushed. He’s a wall of unforgivable metal, and there’s far too much sincere anger in cybernetic eyes for his comfort.

“ Google! I, uh— ” He swallows. “ I’m in the kitchen, buddy. I’m pretty sure this is where I’m supposed to be. ” Nevermind last night when he’d been poking around engineering after hours.

"P-Playing dumb-umb may work for-r-r the Engineer and the Captain, but I'm n-n-not a fool." Google spat, perfect teeth twisted into a sharp sneer. Waking up with a low battery wasn't the worst thing in the world, but the fact his charging cable had been stepped on and snapped was. Checking the cameras was easy, and seeing Charlie sneaking around in the robotics room was enough to subject the cook to a verbal lashing. (Maybe a physical one too, if the android was feeling particularly physical today).

Google's eyes narrowed, glinting red now as he slowly leaned in. He was barely a hair away from Charlie's ear when he started whispering in his broken voice. There was no breath on the skin. No heat came from the mouth dripping with spoken venom. "Y-You're lucky-ky that I have stri-strict orders to not... terminate-nate without the Captain's word-d." The robot continued, pulling back to see the Charlie's expression. He almost smirked at the nervous fright gracing the human features. "However-ever... I'll make s-sure you fix your mistakes.

A traditional Thursday Wine and snack party followed regardless of weather.

Shane brought us a huge amount of hot Greek food from a restaurant everyone knew about except me.   (TAZIKI’s)   A great salad, fantastic chicken, and oven roasted potatoes, and Pita bread.  Also there were cheeses, nuts, strawberries, homemade cookies (Kayla), dates, and more.  We had 3 white wines and 7 red wines and a Port wine to wash this all down.  Most of the food and all the wine  was consumed.  One starved individual was observed inhaling 7 plates of food.  He said it was all salad, but actually he piled salad on top of the chicken and potatoes for concealment.  We said nothing, knowing his wife doesn’t cook and he otherwise only feeds at the free troughs in Doctors lounges at VUH.  What happens at Thursday Wine Tastings stays there.....

Shane, of the Hot TAZIKI food frenzy, is leaving us tomorrow to join the Chinese Communist Party.  He will be absent for one month as he undergoes total immersion in Maoist Principles and has plastic surgery to make his eyes more slanty.  After becoming a blonde 6 foot 5 inch Chinaman he will be allowed to break ground on a CCP controlled lithium battery factory near the Fort Campbell Army Base.  Nothing to see here.....

Emma returned after a one and done visit many months ago.  Emma is a soon to be world famous professional golfer.  Old Joe the Bird Man and the most knowledgable golfer in middle America interviewed Emma for future publication.  Emma has deep roots in a totally brier-hopping small-town Kentucky and enjoyed comparing cell-phone contact lists with Ed Higgins of Hopkinsville, Ky.   BTW,  Emma is way more civilized than Ed.

Living with Losing You - 10/24/2022

First day of being an official FTE again!

When you died, I took 4 weeks off. Then, I was placed on a reduced schedule of 3 days a week from then until now. I do feel like I am ready to take it all on again because missing days was stressing me TF out. I would be gone for a day and come back to 200 emails. Always playing catch up became overwhelming in itself. I have to give my company massive kudos though, that’s not on them, it’s just the reality of my role. They have been incredibly supportive and patient of my healing process. I feel so blessed to work for an org like that. 

It was a very busy day though, and so very productive. I crossed almost everything off my to-do list today! Little victories add up! I had gone into the office thinking I was going to onboard, but unfortunately she withdrew. I had to meet with another employee while I was there anyway, so it worked out. I felt like I blinked and it was 1pm. I quickly left the office to grab a salad for lunch, then rushed home. I ate my salad while I worked, and then before I knew it, ti was 3:40pm. I was late to practice today, and still checking messages at practice even. I will say that I realize I personally need to be better coming back, because I do not have the emotional capacity to do that daily. 

Practice was good though! I really have been enjoying coaching so much. Boys had track / speed today. We race our biggest competitor in the league on Wednesday. I am nervous but excited for it. Really hoping we can get the “W”, but I am proud of our boys either way. They have had a good season. I was also at practice fairly late. After the workout we sent the varsity team in a 3.5 mile cool down. Well, I decided to run with them at first, which seemed like a good idea. The pace started off well, but by the end we were at 7:15 and I was not down. I didn’t want to give up though, cause what kind fo coach would I be if I did that!? Powered through. I wore that cute punny dinosaur shirt that I got in KY. Some people appreciated it. I love it and that is all that matters. 

After practice, I drove to Chick-Fil-A for dinner only to realize that I left my wallet at home in my other bag. I went back home and picked up Sadie since she was home a lot of today. I also got her two pup cups cause she is the bestest girl in the whole wide world (as you used to say). I just felt bad that she was home a lot of today. I really try not to do that. She has had eventful days upon days, so one rest day would probably suit her well. Erika called me on the way and we talked for about 2 hours. I love her so much, she has been so great to me as a friend. I ate dinner then took her out to go to the bathroom / for a brief walk. When I came back I started to clean up. This place got a bit out of control since I have been so busy. I really want to start going back to a sense of normalcy, and start cooking again too. I have been eating out way too much, it is such a waste of money. I know that I have been struggling and just was not paying as much attention, but I would likely be disgusted at how much I am spending a week by just eating out. Even with PS. It’s making me sick just thinking about it. I plan to run to the store tomorrow. I would like to try and start with eating at last one meal at home a day / limiting my daily spend on food. It got wild for a few months there. Honestly though the fact that I was eating and have been eating is a victory in itself too, so that’s why I was giving myself some grace. It could be worse. 

Okay, food rant over. Something else kind of interesting happened today. There were a few times that we went surfing with my family and friends, and I brought an underwater disposable camera. No clue if it actually took the pictures, but I was able to find it and I set it on the storage cabinet in the office next to your shadow box / on top of the box with your things. I plan to try and drop it off this week, the sooner the better. I am just excited ti see if we have any cute pics on there! Well, when I came home from practice, that camera was laying on the floor outside of that room. I just don’t see Latte playing with it, and plus the fact that it wasn't in an easily accessible area. Just strange, so many strange things. In a way, I like to think they’re you. There have been times where I feel like I can sense you. Call me crazy, but I do think that’s a thing. 

Anyway, I am all showered up, animals are laying on the bed, and I need to go to sleep. As I am typing this I hear a random high pitch noise in my ear out of nowhere. It kind of happened earlier too. Maybe I should get that checked out. They do say that is angel(s) trying to communicate. 

I keep having this dream where I am trying to text you and the message never sends. Like, I can never get a hold of you. It it hard when I wake up at times and believe that you’re alive and have to remind myself, it’s the worst. 

I have been having some intrusive thoughts, especially since I have been home. I talked to my therapist about the CBT, but I might try and see what I can start to do on my own with a workbook in the meantime. I really want to get ahead of this. 

I love you, James. 

Sometimes I feel angry that you left me, mostly I feel devastated. It really tears me up to think about.

most people would think you were crazy for your breakfast choices, but to you, there was nothing wrong with wanting to have tomato soup and grilled cheese at 9 a.m. whoever thought it was weird simply just didn’t understand the joy of a hearty breakfast meal that wasn’t pancakes and other sickly sweet stuff.

you were so excited - pots and pans clanging together as you set up your toaster oven to make your grilled cheese and started to boil your tomato soup on the stove. it smelled divine. the sweetness of the soup, the savory smell of the cheese, it was bliss. after you’d turned the fire on and plugged the toaster in, you reverted to playing some music on your phone. it was a great morning. nothing could possibly go wro-

oh crap

to your surprise, things could go wrong. you started to see orange licks from the corner of your eye as the inside of the toaster oven had started to catch fire. your grilled cheese was perishing. you saw the faintest bit of smoke as the bread started to char and the cheese started to bubble up. panicking, but trying to remain calm, you took a towel and opened the toaster oven, and unplugged it from the socket. solemnly you looked at your sandwich as the fire died down.

my sandwich. nothing could erase the pout from your face. you went to check on your soup happy at least that it seemed to be simmering fine. you took the slices of cheesy bread out from the toaster and snapped a picture of it.

notes: took a bit of a break from writing bc of life but i’m back on my bullshit and here is some soft cal content for ya’ll warnings: none word count: 1.3k!

The snow had been expected, something the weather warnings had been blaring over the past week. There was a snowstorm and a bad one, everyone seemed to say. But both yourself and Calum had decided to shrug it off as you headed out to the grocery store, the small flurries of snow exciting the two of you.

“I know that it’s just snow, but man I feel like a kid all over again.” You didn’t attempt to hide your excited tones as Calum pulled into the parking lot, a grin on his lips as the two of you got out.

The snow was settling on the ground fast, small piles already building up on the floor and on the cars. 

You didn’t see Calum scoop up some snow.

The cold sensation going down your back sent a scream ripping from your throat as you tried to move away from it, Calum’s laughter ringing through the parking lot as you danced on the spot, desperately trying to get the snow out from under your shirt before it melted against you.

It was only when you stopped moving that you glared at Calum, who was still laughing at your reaction.

“You’re an asshole, Hood.” You snapped moodily, stalking towards the store. Calum’s laughter slowly died down as his footsteps grew nearer, throwing his arm over your shoulder as he pressed a kiss to your temple.

“I’m sorry love. C’mon, I’ll make it up to you whilst we stock up for this storm.” You knew you couldn’t be angry at him, but you kept the pout on your lips before he finally pulled away to get a shopping cart. 

“Plus we can get a toy for Duke whilst we’re at it.” And he knew that the single sentence would work like a charm, your eyes eager as the two of you ventured into the surprisingly empty store.

“I was expecting it to be busier.” You muttered once you moved from the fresh produce to the snacks aisle.

“Maybe people weren’t willing to risk the storm? We’re just idiots by that judgement but we needed food and honestly should we really have gotten out of bed sooner than today?” His voice was a tease, but the warmth filled you regardless, eyes unable to look at him for fear of becoming distracted.

Calum laughed at your obvious attempt to keep yourself focused but didn’t comment on it otherwise as you began to throw snacks into the cart.

By the time that you reached the checkout, the two of you fell into an easy rhythm as you began to pack the bags up, sharing soft grins every time your hands brushed. Part of you couldn’t stop the smile and the other part didn’t want to because you knew he loved seeing you smile.

Calum had it paid for before you could even get your card, ignoring your noise of protest as he took the receipt and stuffed it into his back pocket.

“I would’ve put it down my boxers but I doubt the cashier would’ve approved.” He smirked and you stuck your tongue out at him.

“I mean they wouldn’t have approved of my hand going for it regardless.” And Calum laughed as the two of you got the bags into the trunk of the car and raced each other back from putting the trolley away.

The snow was coming down much faster now, Calum deciding to keep it slow on the roads. The last thing either of you wanted was to get into an accident and despite wanting to get home to avoid getting stranded in the snow, you knew he wasn’t about to risk either of your lives by putting his foot down.

“So are we having a snow day together?” The obvious question from Calum was met with a raised eyebrow from you, causing him to merely grin wider at you as he finally pulled into the driveway.

“I mean, talk about stating the damn obvious, Cal.” Came the sarcastic remark as the two of you brought the groceries into the house. Duke greeted you both before returning to his bed, both of you eager to change from the now cold clothes to warm up again.

“Go get changed and I’ll start putting some of the stuff away.” Calum urged when you shivered. Giving him a quick kiss to his cheek, you practically bolted up the stairs, deciding on the fluffier pyjama sets that you owned. Once you were changed and back downstairs, you found your heart swelling at the sight before you.

Calum was putting the groceries away, but whistling a soft tune as he did it, occasionally sliding across the floor in his socks as he did so. Only when your giggle gave you away did he stop and the grin that lit up his face made your own match his.

“My handsome man sliding around in socks and whistling.” You muttered as he pressed a kiss to your cheek before handing you some of the canned goods you’d purchased. 

It didn’t take either of you much longer before the food was packed away and you two retreated to your room Calum getting changed as you wrapped up under the covers.

The heaviness behind your eyes seemed to coax him into bed faster, unable to fight the sudden exhaustion as you curled into Calum’s side and fell asleep.

When you woke up, it was dark. It took you a second to realise that what most likely woke you was the howling winds from outside, the noise giving you more reason  to press closer to Calum, the warm body next to you warding off the chill of the room. 

That was when you noticed that the digital clock on his stand was blank and you groaned.

This roused Calum from his sleep, tired eyes peering at you as you rolled to your side, checking to see if your phone was charging. 

It wasn’t.

“Power cut.” You mumbled as you rolled back into his side. Calum made a noise of acknowledgement before the two of you were back out for the count.

It was only later when you both woke up, the only time you noted being on your phones, did you realise the problem of the power cut.

“Cal, we need to get frozen stuff outta the freezer before it defrosts. If we’re lucky enough it’s probably cold enough outside to keep it partially frozen till the power is back on.” You murmured as he shifted, stretching himself out almost cat like.

“Fine, but it means that it’s cold breakfast for us.” He muttered as he got up a tired giggle escaping your lips.

“I wasn’t expecting a full cooked breakfast Cal, even I know that’s more hassle than it’s currently worth. Also get Duke in one of his sweaters. We need to keep him as warm as possible too.”

The first part of the morning was spent trying to coax Duke into the ridiculous sweater that Calum had purchased last year for him before the two of you raided through the freezer to try and save any food that might have defrosted.

This devolved in struggling to open the door for Calum to realise that you were snowed in.

“What about the food?” His question was met with a shrug from you.

“I’m more worried about getting a certain pup out to do his business.” You nodded to Duke before raising an eyebrow at Calum who sighed.

“Bathtub it is, buddy.” He muttered and you laughed as he picked up the small dog and carried him upstairs.

When he returned, he had a disgruntled look on his face, Duke practically sulking back to his bed and you could only grin as you abandoned trying to save the frozen food. You hated wasting it, but even you couldn’t deny that there was no salvaging some of it.

“How about some couch cuddles before we crack out the cards for a few games of poker?” Your question was met with a nod before a small smirk began to form on Calum’s lips.

“Maybe a game of strip poker?”
