Was really excited to find out you like wrestling! Was wondering, do you watch AEW, and if so do you have any favourites over there?

not really recently. i was VERY excited for aew when it first started but i cooled off on it so much. this mainly stems from the fact that i find the young bucks, kenny omega, and hangman incredibly boring and samesy every time they wrestle. i was into it until kenny became a cartoonish heel and i tuned out and i basically came back for cm punk. i followed them through out but the last event i watched was wembly because i just. don't care about the product really? i find it very boring and i find everyone either has an uninteresting character or seem fake.

that isn't to say it's all bad though i think aew has a ton of talent and a lot of good stories. MJF is pretty much the best heel in wrestling. Adam Cole is fantastic. Brian Danielson of course, everything he does is gold basically. Is Keith Lee still there? Love that man. Miro of course. Penta El Zero is literally one of my top 10 fave wrestlers probably. And I of course I love Somoa Joe. Oh Orange Cassidy, what the hell is he even up to.

As for favorite matches it's def CM Punk vs. MJF in the dog collar match above everything else. But also The Lucha Bros vs. Young Bucks in a cage at...All In 2021 I think? Orange Cassidy vs. Cody Rhodes (10.14.2020) (I have a fucking list lmao). Kenny Omega vs Bryan Danielson (09.22.2021). Honestly, pretty much any match with Orange Cassidy - his debut with Pac, the triple threat world title match with Kenny and Pac, Orange vs. Ospreay. All great matches.

I have left out the women a lot because I think AEW does a shit job with it's women's division. They have a lot of talent and I feel like they're never used right or don't get enough time. That said I adore Hikaru Shida, I love Brit Baker, Abadon is from Denver and I got to see her wrestle before she was AEW so I rep her forever, Nyla Rose - i gotta rep my native trans sister, and i love my girl Ruby Soho even if they never let her be champion :(

the only women's match i have marked in my list is brit baker vs. ruby soho (09.22.2021). I wanna say I liked the hikaru shida vs....i wanna say thunder rosa but I might be full of shit. idk.

but yeah, i'll probably watch em again. i have every ppv on my computer i just gotta watch em.

since we're talking about tag teams today - who are your top favourite tag teams? could be a top 3 or a top 10, however many you want to list :-) just think they always deserve more love!

Tag teams are some of my favorite wrestling ! It’s like look at my guys go! I’m gonna read more this cause this gets long and I ramble so.

Some of my favorite tag teams are

The Rockers of course

Kane and X-Pac ( I could go on about their relationship for hourssss)

Scotty 2 Hotty and Grand Master Sexay (their so silly to me.)

I also really like the Godwinns (of course before they started wearing confederate flags. Fucking hate how wrestling makes any redneck character a racist when they’re not like that most of the time.)

the Miz and John Morrison are also ones I really like but mostly because when I watch wrestling with Reprobate we say they’re us :)

also loved Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston together!

There’s also two local tag teams i like a lot from K.S.W.A the Freek show and Manchild and Apex! Freek Show and Manchild have this dark carnival aesthetic to them that I love… I love anything carnival related honestly. And Apex are these incredible High flyers! They’re some of the best technical wrestlers in their leauge

Another local league with a tag team I love from Enjoy Wrestling, the Production with Ziggy Haim and Derek Dillinger. They’re such heels??? Like they work the crowd just incredibly. Also!!! Ziggy Haim was super nice to me when I gave them the bracelets I made for their group

Also I know they’re not a tag team technically… but Diamond Dallas Page and the Diamond Studd make me really happy. It’s hard to make a list of my tops because I like these all for different reasons.

The Rockers are incredible, every match with them is excellent and their bond is almost unmatched. Their ability to wrestle in sync is just so incredible. Also Marty is a cutie (twirls hair.)

With Kane and X-Pac I am compelled by the story. Someone who has never been loved, and someone with something to prove. They grew together. And X-PAC’s betrayal of Kane. Someone who so blindly protected and thought they were ok, believed they would’ve friends (or lovers) till the end, gets told he isn’t needed anymore. That he was never needed. It’s so… real? Human? I don’t know.

I think if I’d had to pick the Rockers and Kane and X-Pac would be my tops. But I don’t know for sure. There’s always more wrestling for me to discover you know?

I guess "AEW has too many ex-WWE guys" is a thing again. Here's my take: Cry harder.

Look, there might have been a brief time when it seemed like AEW might never have more than a smattering of WWE alumni on the roster. Like, you had some older guys like Chris Jericho and Dustin Rhodes, and a few thirtysomethings like Cody Rhodes, PAC, Shawn Spears and Trent Beretta, but that was it. Maybe during that window you could convince yourself that AEW wanted to keep the ex-WWE contingent tightly controlled, for some reason. But that window dramatically closed when Jon Moxley showed up. On their very first show. Three years ago.

AEW probably wasn't expecting WWE to cut over 100 wrestlers and suddenly flood the market with hot free agents. But since it happened, what was AEW supposed to do? Not sign FTR, Miro, Ruby Soho, the Undisputed Era, Samoa Joe, the Hardys, and Athena? That'd be a waste of top talent.

I realize there are fans in the tank for guys like the Dark Order and the Best Friends and so forth, who are impatiently waiting for those guys to break out of the pack and get big pushes. And if you're tired of waiting on that, you could blame it on ex-WWE wrestlers cutting ahead in the pecking order. You could, that is, if you overlook the pushes of Adam Page, Britt Baker, Wardlow, Eddie Kingston, Darby Allin, Scorpio Sky, Thunder Rosa, HOOK, Jade Cargill, Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus, Sammy Guevara, and Wheeler YUTA. The cream never stopped rising to the top, if you're willing to look for it.

"So do you want everybody in WWE to come to AEW?" Yes bitch don't threaten me with a good time. I want everybody to get the fuck out of that place like Moxley did. I want all the best wrestlers in AEW, and I want anybody who can't make the cut to go down to Impact and make that place better too. If that means your favorite "AEW original" never gets to be the ROH Cartoon Network European champion, I can live with that.

AEW All Out 2022 Review

Pre-Show AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship: Tay Melo and Sammy Guevara (c) vs. Ruby Soho and Ortiz

This was okay! A bit messy at times and I really hope Ruby is okay after that landing on her neck and breaking her nose. I'm kinda over Sammy and Tay right now. I feel like they have the potential to do some really good heel work, but I don't think heel work is just making out? Loved the beginning of the match with Sammy getting hit by a buggie.

Pre-Show FTW Championship: Hook (c) vs. Angelo Parker

I want to touch Hook's hair - it looks so soft. This match was way more competitive that I thought it would be, but it was still pretty good. Action Bronson had a cool run-in as well. All in all, a pretty decent match!

Pre-Show All-Atlantic Championship: Pac (c) vs. Kip Sabian

Kip looks like if 2012 tumblr made a wrestling character, but I love the new gear, the style and everything. He really made this match work so well. PAC is a goddamn beast of a wrestler. I really enjoyed this match

Pre-Show: Eddie Kingston vs. Tomohiro Ishii

Eddie Kingston is so damn good. Such an incredible story teller. Ishii is also just a goddamn beast. These two make magic and I can't wait for the rubber match. My favorite Zero-Hour match

Casino Ladder Match: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Rey Fenix vs. Andrade El Idolo vs. Rush vs. Wheeler Yuta vs. Dante Martin vs. TBA

At first, hated the finish because I was so into the match and then it clicked..... The Joker had MJF's mannerisms and butt! Excellent match but it was more of an angle that anything. Real good shit.

AEW World Trios Championships: The Elite vs. "Hangman" Adam Page & The Dark Order

Story telling man. The Hangman/Elite story has been so well done and this just starts another chapter in Hangman's character. Being the reason for the loss is gonna fuck with our anxious dude. I am very interested in seeing where this one goes.

TBS Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Athena

I wish they would have built this story up a little more, because goddamn these two can go. Athena is so damn versatile and Jade is so captivating. I wish they had more time.

Wardlow & FTR vs. Jay Lethal & Motor City Machine Guns

This match should have been FTR v MCMG, but it was good. I hate that the TNT Champ didn't have a title defense. Lots of fun spots, but I wasn't invested until Dax's daughter became UNDEFEATED.

Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

I'm happy with Hobb's winning, but it was too quick. I hope this story continues because I want some of that Ricky Starks' kinda chaos we all know and love.

AEW World Tag Team Championships: Swerve In Our Glory (c) vs. The Acclaimed

Match of the night, match of the year. I was pacing in front of my tv the entire time. I could not sit still. I was so hyped that my dog got concerned. Anthony Bowens is incredible. Max Caster is amazing. Keith and Swerve working kinda heel set it off. I need The Acclaimed to win those titles. This is their time.

Interim AEW Women's Championship: Toni Storm vs. Britt Baker vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Jamie Hayter

Everyone in this match is so damn good at what they do. The tension between Britt and Jamie (need this fued now), Shida's come back(s), and Toni getting that win - all so amazing.

Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy

Not a match but a well done angle.

Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho

I had a really hard time getitng invested into this match. It was really good, but I wanted to see Daniel Garcia get involved I guess.

House of Black vs. Sting, Darby Allin & Miro

Really good, but I hope Malakai gets better. That goodbye kiss and the recent reports worry me that he's struggling. I really enjoy this faction. I was hoping to see some storyline progression, but Idk whats going on now

AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. CM Punk

Two of my all-time favorite's had a banger man. They both know how to tell a damn story. I loved how Mox targeted Punk's foot but like just that pitbull energy that man has. MJF's return was a great way to end the show

All in all, All Out was really good. I enjoyed myself. That's what wrestling is about - having fun and I had so much fun!

i’ve always wondered, who are your top 3 or top 5 favorite wrestlers besides hangman?

BANDIDO!!!!!!! bandido bandido bandido!!!! ugh. bandido is amazing. I am hoping we see him get resigned with roh now that it's under tk or possibly even show up in aew just because I feel like he should absolutely have WAY more eyes on him. he's the perfect babyface and the moves he pulls off are astonishing. every single match he puts on is fun to watch. also his gear and his masks are VERY pretty 😍

other than that though?? hm. I'll always have a soft spot for drew mcintyre since he's what brought me back into wrestling after I'd quit watching it for a couple years. I don't follow him as much frequently any more just because I don't keep up with wwe like I used to, but I'd definitely still call him a favorite. same for piper niven (or doudrop, ig?) I absolutely LOVE her and would one-hundred percent call her a favorite of mine, but I haven't been watching any of her recent stuff.

the ones I watch more currently and I'd call my faves are probably the young bucks, adam cole, marina shafir, jade cargill... oh! and pac. pac is always freaking STUNNING in the ring.

Face ~ Your favorite and/or least favorite good guy/girl wrestler?

To counterbalance the spicy-ness of my next answer, I'll go with my favourites instead of my least favourites - from the guys, I'm gonna go with Orange Cassidy! He was one of the wrestlers that got me back into wrestling after so long because he was just so funny and that match with Pac at Revolution is straight up one of my favourites matches of all time, plus his whole International title reign was some of the most fun I've had watching wrestling the past few months. And for the women, I'm gonna go with Hikaru Shida because she fucking rules and she does not get anything close to the respect she deserves - she gives every person she wrestles the best match of their career, always gets huge reactions from the crowd even when her booking is terrible, and she's just such a badass, I adore her! And if TK thinks I'm gonna cheer for Britt over her, he's got another thing comin'.

Hoooo boy. I considered trying to do the first one here but...I sure do have some unpopular controversial opinions rattling around in my brain so...it's my funeral!

I think Christian Cage's current schtick kinda sucks, whoops 😬 Most of his promos are soooo painfully generic Heel 101 (insulting the local sports team, I-fucked-your-mom jokes, low-hanging fruit kind of stuff that's been done a thousand times before and I'm sick of tbh) and even the dead dad stuff is just repetitive and lacking creativity at this point - it's more of a meme than an actual heat source (and that's been done before too, he ain't the first wrestler to make dead dad jokes!). Plus, I think the whole TNT champ thing only serves to make that belt look even less important and more like a complete joke? Because the guy who actually won it is apparently AOK fine with some other dude carrying it and calling himself the champion, because the title means that little, I guess? Imagine MJF letting, I don't know, Smart Mark Sterling, carry around the world title and call himself the champ and acting like that's fine and dandy, who cares? Not to mention that this is, like, the fifth time that the actual TNT champ has been completely overshadowed by some other older dude who's managing them? Really weird booking tendency there. Annnnnnd I think the only reason people like him and think this storyline is good is because they're just outrageously horny for him, which I don't judge or anything but still...come on, folks, call a spade a spade.

Elle’s Unsolicited Thoughts on BOSJ 30 Night 2

I finally finished watching it XD!

Pre: No hate to Kevin Kelly, but A) no Chris Charlton :( and B) single person commentary always sounds weird to me. Glad he at least has the onion with him so he doesn't get lonely!

Match 1 - Kushida vs. TJP: mostly skipped 😞 Kushi loss sad

Match 2 - Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Dan Moloney: skipped

Match 3 - Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Lio Rush: I'm gonna be honest, I refuse to skip this match mostly because I need to see if Taguchi stays serious or not, I'm hooked. Otherwise I would have skipped it simply because I only have so much time and there is so much wrestling. During Lio's entrance they mentioned him being attacked by Evil yesterday, and like this is the oldest of news but I still can't even that they just have a wrestler named EVIL. Oh. Okay we have TJP on commentary idk if I can do this. He just irks me as a character. 😞 Poor Taguchi. TJP did not annoy me as much as I thought he would, at least so far. The continuing building lore of the onion lol.

Match 4 - Clark Connors vs. Robbie Eagles: Seriously need ZSJ's son to stop being cute on the ring apron.

Match 5 - Sho vs. Mike Bailey: Hehe, I hope Bailey kills him. HAHA I'M GOING TO FIGHT SHO FOR ATTACKING BAILEY WITH THE CHAIR BEFORE THE MATCH WHY ISN'T ANYONE STOPPING HIM HAHA GIVE ME A HAMMER, PAC. I'm going to shove Sho's wrench up his ass for attacking Speedball with it. DO Y'ALL NOT HAVE ANY OTHER REFS THAT AREN'T BUSY RN BECAUSE THIS GOING ON ON A LONG TIME WITH THE CHEATY CHEATING. Speedball still wins!!! YEAH!! Young Lions can we get the ref some ice please? Speedball using the chair as a cane 😢.

Match 6 - Kevin Knight vs. Francesco Akira: skipped

Match 7 - Titán vs. Taiji Ishimori: Pretty pretty Taiji, pretty Taiji. Can he not look directly into the camera I am FRAGILE. Why does his hair look so soft. I'm feeling so normal about him. Sidenote, TJP's comments on Titán were interesting to hear. TJP and Kevin Kelly memeing about Finlay sitting in an office, going over BC's paperwork to evaluate them lol. KEVIN KELLY POINTING OUT THAT GEDO IS THE ONE RUNNING BC.

Match 8 - El Desperado vs. Bushi: skipped

Match 9 - Hiromu Takahashi vs. Douki: Well I made post about how I DIED during his entrance, so let's just pick up from there. He took the jacket off and it's worse now because his pretty arms are out. He is bouncing around so full of energy it's so cute. I love seeing the Daryls and other Takahashi family in the crowd during Hiromu's entrance. I miss not having Chris on commentary to tell us what Hiromu's book says. OH MY GOSH SUDDEN CLOSE UP OF DOUKI SO PRETTY. I"m fine this is fine. Can we never let him wear my favorite color again please? The way he MOVES. Douki Chokey!! MAINTAINING WRIST CONTROL AND TRANSITIONING SO SMOOTHLY. Okay like I KNOW they're not gonna put Douki over the champ on night 2 BUT THESE NEAR COUNTS HAVE ME OUT OF BREATH TRULY I CANNOT BREATHE. Gosh, like Douki did SO WELL and fought SO HARD and I knew he wouldn't win against the champ on night 2 but OH MY THAT WAS INTENSE.

Just the main event. Wato and Yoh. Not sure I can handle it right now. OOPS HAHA POST MATCH ANGY DISHELVED DOUKI okay we're good now.

Match 10 - Yoh vs. Master Wato: If Yoh can stop with the cocky facial expression and put his tongue away that would be appreciated. The fact that his "ring jacket" atire has THREE SEPARATE LAYERS he has to remove before the match is so Yoh. OH MY GOSH HIS. HIS. And he's so. Is he. The LIKE. SASS? THE BRIDGE ALDKFJALDKJFA . Wato's tights are so elegant and intricatnly patterned. YOH IS POSING TO TAUNT. Still can't believe he's bearing his calves. DOES WATO HAVE A SCAR ON HIS SIDE? Gosh Yoh's movemensts are just so fluid. These two are really fun to watch work with each other. WHERE IS YOH GOING LOL HE JUST JOGGED OFF. He's talking a stroll alkdjaldkj. Is Yoh gonna turn heel (maybe it's already happened since I'm only on Night 2), I'm not sure I'll survive that. THAT TAKEDOWN. 🥺🥺Yoh patting the little boy's head🥺🥺 TJP referred to Yoh's arm/shoulder that Wato was targeting as his "hurt wing" and now I'm imagining bird Yohhhhh Sidenote: I love Red Shoes Wato lying in pain on the mat😞 I'd like a dozen more of these two against each other please. Yoh just did the most dramatic drop sell, I love him. WATO DON'T PULL ON HIS CUSTOM JEAN TRUNKS. THAT POISONRANA. OKAY THAT'S A STRONG HIT ALKDJALDKJ. DIRECT DRIVE THIS HAS GOTTA BE IT. Favorite match: Yuta I have to say the one with Mox the storytelling is just *chef's kiss* 😩 but he has one with Lee Moriarty at Beyond Wrestling that is sooo good. Kenny oh my god this is sooo hard Kenny vs Okada, Kenny vs Mox, Kenny vs Pac, Kenny vs Hangman. There is literally so many I can't just pick one but off the top of my head those.

Favorite feud: Yoots and BCC hands down. Kenny and Hangman even though it hurts my heart. 🥺

Favorite promo: Yuta something going back to his Moriarty feud in Beyond Wrestling it's so good if you haven't seen it. Kenny everything leading up to the first Mox vs Kenny match gave me all the vibes and that match is still one of my favorites!

Dream match: Yuta vs ZSJ or Yuta vs Cesaro those are matches I would absolutely love to see he's already faced my number 1 favorite technical wrestler (Bryan) so add in my number 2&3 😩 I would give TK my firstborn child for those. My Kenny dream match already happened with Bryan, but I would love to see a Omega vs Danielson II 60 minute Iron man match!

ok i might be able to do a top ten, even though it's very difficult. in no particular order - mick foley, luna vachon, sami zayn, santana and ortiz, pac, eddie kingston, malakai black, ZSJ (zack sabre jr), manami toyota, and edge.

mick foley - as i've said, best promo, best deathmatch wrestler, insanely talented. the emotions in his promos are insane, and he is such a goddamn wordsmith. he went to all lengths possible to make his matches entertaining. and the best part is he's actually a great person irl!

luna vachon - probably the most underappreciated wrestler of all time and specifically a special interest of mine. i could talk about her forever. her life was tragic from beginning to end, but she gave her all to the wrestling business despite it giving her nothing but pain in return. she deserved the world and i'm so sad she's passed away and i'll never get to tell her how much she inspires me.

sami zayn - an insanely good in-ring talent and character worker. he's so funny and likeable no matter what role he's in. blue thunder bomb is my favorite move ever. also... he handsome... :)

santana and ortiz - incredible in the ring, the best tag team ever in my humble opinion. they are fucking hilarious, especially santana. they're so good at making their opponents look good. i cannot wait for them to be tag team champs. i still think about when santana just got right in the camera and screamed "WE'RE HEELS!!!!" (heels = wrestling terminology for bad guys) and i fucking die EVERY TIME.

pac - greasy little bastard man who is probably one of the most underrated guys in north america. he's a guy made of a bunch of abs and he will kick anyone's ass and then cut a very eerie promo in his underwear on some stairs

eddie kingston - the only person in the world who rivals mick foley in promo skills, no joke. every single thing he says is so convincing and real. he always feels REAL, like he's not playing a character at all. i don't give a shit if eddie's a face or a heel, i am on his side 1000% of the time. eddie has never done anything wrong in his entire life.

malakai black - a demon that wrestles with fucking amazing tattoos and kicks people in their faces to win, literally what's not to love. one of the best strikers in the NA game, great character work, and... handsome :)

ZSJ - a technical wrestling wizard, he just does a bunch of submissions until you get mad and give up. the best british person ever probably? his entire gimmick is that he hates tories and the british government. and then he just gets in the ring and twists people's limbs around in weird ways. fucking love my british twink

manami toyota - probably the best in-ring talent in the entire history of wrestling. she is an actual fucking god. her matches are endlessly entertaining and she pretty :)

edge - he was my favorite when i first started watching when i was 10. he retired shortly after, but i always held him near and dear to my heart. he's such a weird fuckin dude, he's just doing random shit all the time and i love him for it.
