Ever since I started counting my steps in Lisbon, I've become almost obsessed with the My Pacer app.
I've lost weight while I was in Lisbon and want to keep it off.
When I'm at home I walk on the spot while I watch TV or even read just to keep a bit active.
You even get nice medals and a certificate
Just wanted to ramble about my steps haha.

TBH I think minecraft is a pretty good game, infact my dad's phone have the Minecraft app, and I would sometimes play with it. And we all know that Minecraft is known for its blocky environment, create stuff like cities, houses,etc. In creative mode. In survival mode, your goal is to survive by, collecting resources, building a shelter and fighting against mobs like zombies, skeletons and enderman, that come out at night. I remember playing that game before. But I gotta admit it was pretty good, but it cost all lot of money to install the game.

Today's report on tiktok drama: the label "Universal Music Group" has decided to pull all songs recorded by their artists from TikTok. UMG makes up a HUGE market share of top artists, including Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. While the mainstream artists will be fine, smaller artists under the UMG label do not care for this, as they do a ton of marketing on TikTok. In any case, the TikTok edit makers have now had a huge portion of their edits muted for copyright infringement.
So, here is a list of songs I have seen edit makers use in place of UMG owned songs:

Kit was worried. He knew Ty would get engrossed in his work and forget the world around him, but he'd never been this bad. He'd nearly called Julian in a panic a couple of times but knew Ty would hat him for getting his older brother involved. Meaning Kit was left to his own devices on how to get Ty to take a break.
So he paced. Kit was a pacer when he needed to think. He hadn't realised the habit until Ty had pointed it out. He'd felt awkward about it but Ty assured him he enjoyed watching the repetitive behaviour and the fact it was something he could relate to. So the habit continued. It was how he was able to come up with his most excellent ideas, like the one that was currently forming.
Half an hour later he had a plan and was about to put it into action. Kit hid, and using an app on his phone, rang the doorbell before shouting "Ty can you get that, I'm on the toilet?". A slight pause and he heard Ty move from his desk and head to the front door. Once he was out the room, Kit bolted, and in a fluid movement, jumped and sat on Ty's desk.
Ty retuned from not finding anyone at the door, assuming their was a fault with the doorbell or someone had been messing about, and had made it a couple of steps back into the room when he noticed Kit, and everything fell into place.
"I haven't finished work. I need you to move" he said simply and Kit folded his arms. Ty folded his arms back. "You've been working all day Ty. Take a break" he said and Ty shook his head saying "I can't. I'm not finished. Move" but Kit stayed put. "You can finish tomorrow" he pushed, putting one left over the other. Ty rolled his eyes before grabbing Kits ankle and pulling half heartedly. "Move it" he challenged to which Kit countered "make me" and Tiberius Blackthorn was not one to back down from a challenge, especially when his boyfriend was the one presenting the challenge.

What's the name of the virtual race app? I'd also like to walk more and that sounds neat
I use The Conqueror and the husband has used Pacer. There are several virtual race apps out there; most of them do virtual postcards or points of interest along the way, which is really nice. (Some of them have street view built in too.)
They're usually about $30-$40 per race, in all the apps I've seen, tho most of them do sales or bundles which can bring that down, which covers the virtual/app support and the medal they mail out.
I like Conqueror specifically because you can edit your start and end dates at any time if your life goes batshit, or your Fitbit or Strava or whatever didn't connect automatically so you have to backdate some entries, and their deadlines for activating a code or finishing a race are really generous.
(Which is a thing you should check if you look up any other apps. Some of them are less forgiving, which some people need so they actually do the thing, but would kill my motivation completely. ymmv & all that)
They're very flexible re: what activity you track, and even have some races that have two separate mileage goals, whether you're primarily walking or biking, which is neat.
They do also let you do teams, if having a walking/running buddy helps you get moving. Maybe try not to team up with someone who's tracking biking or something vs your walking, because the disparity in mileage can be disconcerting instead of encouraging. 😅
Conqueror also partners with veritree & Plastic Bank and will plant trees or remove ocean plastic based on milestones you hit in the race, which again, makes me smile while walking around, so... 👍

inanimate objects hate me
So, I have a Fitbit and use the Pacer app. I sync them to complete Pacer challenges. I have the Fitbit and Pacer apps downloaded on both my phone and a tablet. Earlier tonight, the phone apps were working fine, but the apps on the tablet wouldn't sync. I kept getting an error message saying they had different locations.
So, I messed about a bit with my phone, making sure my location on there was accurate. I turned the phone off and on, and the hurray! The apps on the tablet were syncing just fine. ... Then, I brought both apps up on my phone. The error message moved from my tablet to my phone. Why, even?? Technology makes no sense.
I'm too old for this.

y’all i have two apps that calculate my calories burn way different. mfp says i burned 99 cals so far today and pacer says i burned 194. in the past i always went with pacer cause i’m bigger therefore i burn calories much easier but maybe mfp is more accurate ?? idk man

Met Evan Schauss at Tabora Gallery last night. He studied at Chihuly’s glass studio, and his work is beautiful! We visited cute little shops on Front St. where we found some cool new jewelry pieces! Saw the sunset, mostly overcast, but still pretty. Funny story, we were using the Pacer app. So we appeared to have been in the same spot not moving, but Bill was sleeping and didn’t notice we might be at the bottom of the ocean until two hours later! (We paused our walk for the sunset photos).
