I’ve had this 1895 photo of a Pachycereus weberi in my camera roll for ages, but never actually dug further. Then @strawberrycinema reminded me of it and @girlfriendsofthegalaxy marveled at it and I finally poked around the cactus side of the internet.
Come to find out it’s probably still kicking. If that’s it, it’s generally photographed from the side (in relation to the one above), but...man.

I came across this picture the other day mislabeled as Myrtillocactus geometrizans. To me, it looks like either Pachycereus fulviceps, Pachycereus grandis or Pachycereus pectin-aboriginum...Pachycereus weberi has flattened central spines, which is not the case on this plant. I am leaning towards Pachycereus fulviceps.
