I think it’s noticeable that when H.H defines “nymphets”, he doesn’t describe them as acting in any specific way, just that they're charming, bewitching, and outright inhuman. A nymphet isn’t a descriptor of any sort of child, it’s the dehumanising image H.H builds in his head to justify why the girls he specifically obsesses over aren’t actually children, how they’re inherently corruptive.
