March 25th - Silver Sable

Silvija Sablinova is the Symkarian born daughter of an acclaimed and accomplished nazi-hunter who was active in the decades following the Second World War. He led the Wild Pack, a group of nazi-hunting mercenaries that for a time included Logan Howlett (Wolverine) among their ranks.

Silvija (or ‘Silver’ as she preferred to be called) lost her mother when their family home was bombed by enemies of her father. Silver begged her father to train her, so she could avenge her mother's murder, and though he tried his best to discourage her, he soon realized her potential. Before long, Silver began joining her father on his hunts. After her father’s death, Silver assumed command of the Wild Pack, and became founder and owner of Silver Sable International.

Throughout Sable’s many mercenary endeavors she has interacted and joined forces with numerous costumed heroes, including Spider-Man, Daredevil, Hawkeye and The Shroud. Other heroes have additionally acted in Silver's employ as members of her Wild Pack, such as The Paladin, Puma and Battlestar.

Silver Sable appeared to have perished in a battle against Dr. Octopus, but was actually saved by her former husband, the occasional super villain known as The Foreigner. After recuperating from her injuries, Sable resumed control of The Wild Pack and teamed up with Spider Man to take on Norman Osborn and dash a coup in her native country of Symkaria.

Silver Sable first appeared in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #265 (1985).
