since its 4/13 i wanted to post my martin blackwood classpect analysis! i wrote this during class when i was bored at around the start of the year. if you want me to do any other magnus character plz ask in my inbox ^_^

Martin is the Page of Space. Though the exact definition of Pages are unknown, the MSPA wikis speculation section on their classes page defines it as one who provides others with their aspect. It is also described as one who serves their aspect or serves through their aspect through others. We probably won’t be relying on those much, though. Space, as an aspect, is one of the two most important. It, of course, represents space. You know, planets. Stars. That stuff. But space also represents literal space. Three dimensional space, the stuff objects take up. I don’t know how more literal I can get.

It’s stated by Calliope, to Jade, that space does not just represent the medium or all that complicated jumbles; but the space between the player and others. She says, a space player is destined to be lonely no matter what. That is the true definition of Space; isolation. A space player is destined to be alone.

This fits in with Martin's character incredibly well. We all know that in season 4, Martin isolated himself from everyone; he believed that he was destined to that fate, that he had to be alone to save the ones he loves. And so I feel he has to be a hero of space, at the very least.

Now that class is a little bit more tricky; I was really stumped at first, but ended up going with the page. My initial reasoning is how the pages we knows stories play out.

At first they’re weak, kinda pathetic (season 1 and 2 martin were pathetic stupid men, s3 martin for a bit too. love em though. sad wet cats<3) but as time goes on they become stronger. More able to act on their own, to stand up. It’s referred to as realizing themself in homestuck canon, and I feel that represents Martin incredibly well. It takes a while, but he finally gets the courage to do something at the end of season 3 (and then elias pulls the “ur mom” card on him heartbreak emoji).

The Page also starts the story with a lack of their aspect. Which. Sorta fits Martin? He’s surely lonely at the start, but not as lonely as he ended up in season 4. He grows to have so much of his aspect, it is scary.

This isn’t a perfect reasoning, of course, you could make good arguments for other classpects as well. This is just my own personal analysis, though.

These are classpects that belong to people I personally know.

Page of Space (Thief of Time)

You don't have enough efficiency or a set goal in your life, so you take and adopt the goals others have for yourself, or simply follow in their footsteps without considering the value behind why their set goal is set. This is, of course, in your attempts to learn how to use and navigate the variation in your life, as well as engage with your creative drive.

Rogue of Breath (Knight of Blood)

You are good at gauging your relationships and the levels they're at to aid you in things like camaraderie or responsibilities. But you are absolutely incapable of letting yourself rely on the strength of other people's relationships with you. This means you'd just rather give them freedom instead; you give but never receive in return. This leads to relationships where you're often taken advantage of.

Maid of Breath (Prince of Blood)

Your freedom comes from a need to control your own responsibilities and relationships, but because you've yet to figure out how to define freedom for yourself, your control over your responsibilities and relationships is beyond your grasp. You strive constantly to purify the meaning of freedom imposed upon you by others, and one of the ways you've found works involves destroying, or encouraging the destruction of, the responsibilities and relationships of others.

Thief of Blood (Page of Breath)

You crave responsibilities, relationships, and the camaraderie of others, but you don't know how to place proper value on it, so the ones you do have are taken and shallow. Your attempts to dig deeper and make them mean something come from your attempts to use and navigate your own freedom and individuality. You were trapped before, and now you don't know how to be free.

Seer of Light (Witch of Void)

Secrets drive you. You have been surrounded by secrets your whole life, so much so that you cannot help but be made of them too. You exist to crack open all the secrets you possibly can, because knowledge has always been withheld from you, and you only know how to study through the lens of what is unknown to you, rather than what is already known by others. You change the lens through which you study, but it is always unknown. You change what is secret and bring it to light through the studies of nobody else except for yourself. You know what you know because you change the unknown and you do not let anybody else do it for you.

My most recent cool down hobby has been farting around with my god tier things, and it’s been VERY REWARDING. Drawing those mud puppies is like pure serotonin to my brain.

I’m still messing with the talksprites, they’re particularly challenging overall. i am not an animator by any stretch of the meaning, and i notoriously smash all my layers together which is a habit that screws me over with them.

The Seer Heart Observes All individuals Across All Timelines and all of their most emotional moments, And The Page Proceeds to create a Spacetime Tearing Explosion. This Explosion Creates Spatial Temporal Rifts Which Connect between people of the same emotional problem across the timeline, allowing them to talk, and even transfer items (but not themselves through). Allowing other to be equipped by their "crowd" through space, but also destroying the timeline's linearity, to the point of endangering it to be doomed.

The Page of Space

The Page of Space is someone who struggles to understand their place in the world or what they’re supposed to be doing, mimicking those around them and exaggerating their actions to make it seem like they know what’s going on. They might seem super outgoing or talkative, being creative or “quirky” just for the hell of it, and they might have a habit of being annoying or even obnoxious with this ceaseless activity.

However, you can’t blame the Page of Space, because they’re just growing as a person and soon the answers will come to them, whether the Page is actively looking for them or not. The Page of Space will have a hard time understanding what exactly being a Space player means and what they’re supposed to do, but as the Page learns, they’ll become stronger and stronger. They might be one of those people that just repeats other people’s ideas and swims with trends because they’re popular, or being the opposite way and actively hating on trends for them being popular.

The Page of Space can and probably will seem like they’re just copying others, but this is to learn who they as the Page of Space really are. It could even help them grow and understand to study and interact with other Space players, or just generally other like-minded people.
