Make Thoughtful Cards Out of Paint Chips Using Paint Names
I have been making cards, booklets, and posters out of paint chips for years. What is original about my idea (and I’ve never seen it done by anyone else), is that I pay attention to the paint name on the chip.
All you need is a hole punch, scissors (if you want to cut the names into hearts for a card), and fasteners.

I have made cards with wine names, vacation themes, movie themes, and the list goes on and on. As I was picking up paint, I noticed that Home Depot had some great paint color names for Valentine’s Day and Galantine’s Day. All you need are free paint chips and cheap fasteners for the booklet. You can write on every page if you’d like, like the DIY Playing Card Valentine’s Day gift “52 Reasons I Love You” here.
And how perfect is “As You Wish” from The Princess Bride?
These are the cards I used for my booklet:
Heart Breaker
BFF
Heart to Heart
Epiphany
Stolen Kiss
XOXO
Joie de Vivre
I Heart Potion
Lover’s Knot
Night Music
Love Poem
Lovebirds
I Pink I Can
Love at First Sight
Infatuation
Diva Glam
Kiss Goodnight
Magic Scent
Romantic Poetry
Secret Scent

In my early days of photography, I only had a cellphone and Snapseed for editing, and I was fascinated with changing color saturation.

Paint Chip Collection 2020
It's hard to believe this was the entire collection just 3 years ago! I can't find a picture of it displayed on the wall but it was hanging up in this configuration for a few years.

"Post-Woomy"
Infinite Painter.
A high-res painting of my little pixel character from "Paint Chips", a 2D game which is like Splatoon but possibly better than Splatoon (it has free-for-all, 2v2v2v2 and 8v8 modes, as well as standard 4v4). 'Tis on Steam. I've been playing with bots, I wish people actually knew about it.
Here's the character in question.

I’ve not posted in a while. Everything is awful. But I painted a thing
I plan on painting one per month, things happen, we’ll see… There’s no themes, just a stack of paint chips I nabbed from Walmart in November. I picked a color for each month that I thought fit

I just remembered that I used to have a bit of an obsession with collecting paint chips. Since I do junk/art journaling now I can finally start using them

Qatar Airways Refuses Airbus Planes Over Chipped Paint
Qatar Airways Refuses Planes Over Chipped Paint
A paint conflict has led to Airbus allegedly canceling all of Qatar’s current orders, in a continuing conflict.
In June, pictures were published of a brand new Qatar Airways Airbus A350, parked in a hanger in Doha. The pictures showed what looked like extensive paint damage. Cracking and peeling that exposed the copper mesh that underlies the paint. The mesh is important protection against…

Purple Paint Chip Arrangment
A little section of the collection taken from the display wall. Valspar square paint chip, Behr in the middle, and a 4 color Sherwin Williams. I like the name "Plum Dandy" on that one.

There’s a Twitter exchange where one Corroded Coffin fan posts a zoomed in picture of Eddie’s hand during an interview on a late night talk show.
All of his fingernails are painted black except for his thumb on his right hand. This thumb is painted baby blue with green writing but the quality of the picture isn’t good so you can’t really read it.
They caption the picture, “What’s this say?”
Their post is retweeted by one of Steve’s students with a picture of his hand where his thumb is painted black with a ‘SH ❤️ EM’ written on it with red polish. They’re like, “Probably this.”
