40 (Almost Kiss) and 64 (Star Crossed Lovers) for Vivasher?

The princess almost collapsed with the loss of Breath, but she held herself up and watched the sword Awaken.

Vasher wasn’t as phased by the loss as she was, though he still felt it.

He closed his eyes to readjust, taking a deep breath- of air- in.

He could sense the sword now, but this one wasn’t like Nightblood.

Perhaps they’d done it right this time.

“Oh.” Vivenna breathed, and he opened his eyes to see her gently pick it up. “Oh, she’s beautiful. Smart too, she’s investigating me.”

Investigating, judgment. That could be much better this time then.

That could be much worse.

Vivenna sheathed the blade, then held it out to Vasher.

He shook his head. “Keep it, it’s yours.”

Some of her hair went red in a blush at that, but she must have pushed them back to blond as she tied the blade to her side with a smile. One that was proud of herself.

It was a smile she wore more often now. It should have made Vasher happy- and it did, in a way, sometimes.

She sat next to him with a happy sigh. “Thank you.”

Vasher shrugged. “Not like I need another sword.”

He wasn’t good at talking, even after so long traveling with her. Vivenna rolled her eyes, but didn’t seem to actually mind it. She was used to him being him. “Not like you needed to make or give me her either. And I was thanking you for the training too, to use the sword.”

“You needed it.” She was the one to work hard enough to gain the skills anyway. He’s taught many worse students than her.

“Vasher...” Vivenna drifts off, leaning closer to him, orange eyes focused on his face- not on his own eyes, but his- oh.

His lips, and he felt his body lean down too without his permission, he felt himself get closer, and her eyes closed and-

Shashara.

Shashara, embracing him after they made Nightblood, Shashara calling him beautiful, Shashara’s lips and Shashara’s eyes closed, colorless, in death-

Vasher jumps back like he was burned. Vivenna’s eyes fly back open, confused, concerned- then hurt.

“I have to go.” He says, not thinking, just getting away. “I have to- go get Nightblood. He’ll cause trouble, left on his own.”

As he walks away, Vasher swears to himself- he can never, ever let that happen again.

I’m curious about your opinion: I was thinking about this lgbt+ rep in Cosmere books quite a bit too, but I personally also like the idea that Jasnah simply doesn’t care about relationships/intimacy and just likes to focus on different things in her life. Surely, this does not necessarily exclude the other but what if another main character (idk maybe adult Lift) turns out to be the lgbt+ rep INSTEAD of Jasnah? Would that disappoint you?

honestly I think aroace Jasnah is really great and thats def not something I’d be mad over, its more like if Sanderson makes me watch her get w/ a man i riot...i genuinely do not think her story maps to the straight experience at all to the point where if she does fall for a guy im not even sure id find it believable 

but of course id love for another main to be lgbt! like the more rep the better. idk though i have all these expectations cause i really really trust sanderson but I don’t exactly have precedent to do so. when we chat on here and make posts and stuff...like i forget that most ppl dont immediately go like oh adolin? bicon. even shallan, who was really really REALLY wlw coded as well in WoK...i forget that its a serious rarity in the genre.

like yes he gave us some gay minor characters (rare enough)and i’d die for ranette but im like...torn constantly between wanting to realistically lower my expectations and then getting mad and wanting to demand rep that we deserve
