My hot take re pride flags is that I simply don't care about the existence, design, or meaning of any of them, and have no emotional connection to any individual flag or indeed the concept of flags. I don't own any pride fandom merchandise or anything that could conceivably be interpreted as referring to flags. From my perspective it's a weird hobby that some lgbt+ people engage in. Not anything important or inherent to being part of that demographic.
