since today is passover, quick reminder that spamming “free palestine” on posts saying “happy passover” does not, in fact, help Palestine, as not all jews are zionist and assuming so alienates members of the pro-palestine community for being jewish.
not all jews are zionist. the genocidal actions of the Israeli government does not mean that Jewish people are not allowed to celebrate their sacred religious holidays.

It couldn't get more dystopian than the fact that we live in a world where most people are so morally apathetic that not even the massacre of children shake their feelings; instead, they choose to ignore the suffering of others with willful ignorance. The way so many people have shown absolutely zero regard for Palestinian genocide and ethnic cleansing should terrify us all.

Hi! So a man named Ahmed Kouta from my hometown, who is studying to become a doctor, went to Gaza for his Master's and to see family. He's now stranded there, enduring the genocide and providing updates to many people via his Instagram @princekouta. He recently started a GoFundMe that's still far short of its goal. I urge everyone who sees this post goes to make a donation as a part of the global strike, especially if you aren't able to participate in it in other ways. I will write a poem for anyone who donates at least 5 dollars. DM me if you do.

"As long as we have our clear vision of the revolution, I can see that we will have the victory at the end."

Leila Khaled is a prominent figure in the history of Palestinian resistance, renowned for her role as a freedom fighter and symbol of resistance. She came to public attention for her role in the hijackings of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and one of the four simultaneous Dawson's Field hijackings in 1970. These events marked her as a key member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Khaled's actions propelled her to international fame, making her the iconic face of the Palestinian struggle.
In this clip from an episode of 'This Week' from Thames TV first broadcast on 13 November 1969, Leila Khaled discusses the future of the Palestinian resistance and her outlook for victory.

Armed rebellion against an occupier state can absolutely be legitimate. If Hamas had taken over the areas of the Gaza strip occupied by Israel and attempted to break the blockade, that would arguably have fallen under that category (although I still hate Hamas for like everything else they did, that's just for the example).
But that's not what happened. They targeted civilians, took innocent people as hostages, bombed residential housings. That's unacceptable, and not what Palestinian liberation should ever be. I'm appalled at the number of people seeing this as a rightful fight against an occupier state, rather than as a terrorist operation disguised at one. Especially since it will likely bring nothing but death to Palestinian civilians themselves.

Take a good look at the countries leading/have started the legal battles to hold the IOF accountable -their fights to end IOF terrorism and war crimes, as this should have been done months ago, are now beginning.
So many Palestinian people have been genocided, and the rampant global government inaction has caused chaos, death, and destruction of Gaza... I just hope this leads to a permanent ceasefire and an end to the occupation. I truly do.

you were probably asked this before, but by saying "certified Palestinian Jew" do you mean your ancestors lived in Israel before immigration became popular, or do you mean a Jewish Palestinian? (I'm assuming the former tho)
Neither, actually. I put it there to point out the absurdity of the idea of a Jewish Palestinian in a modern sense, as well as the absurdity of the modern distinction between “Palestinians” and citizens of neighboring Arab countries. (As you correctly assumed.)
My father’s family immigrated to the US from Ottoman and British controlled “Palestine” (Haifa, specifically, which is now in Israel). They were Arabic-speaking Christians who had lived in that region as far back as they could trace their family history.
Since UNWRA tracks Palestinian refugee status patrilineally, by that standard, behold: me, a Palestinian Jew!
The irony is that they never once identified as Palestinian- they were Syrian through and through, as were all their neighbors and friends.
This is an anecdotal example of the declaration made in the 1919 Palestine Arab Congress which I’ll link the wiki page to below.
One major claim of the Congress was
"We consider Palestine nothing but part of Arab Syria and it has never been separated from it at any stage. We are tied to it by national, religious, linguistic, moral, economic, and geographic bounds."
In short- my Syrian (actually Assyrian Syrian- but that’s a whole other can of worms) family has been retroactively labeled Palestinian by political actors seeking to isolate the Arabs in Palestine and thereby promote conflict. Hope that answers your question 😊 Please feel free to discuss or ask me further questions.
