It is concerning how many people have just said fuck a mask. Seeing videos of amusement parks, going to the grocery store, and more i only see a few people still wearing theirs. It is almost like everyone has said f it. I was working an event this past weekend of course I wore a mask the entire event except when I was eatting. But like I was one of a few still wearing a mask and there were older people in the room, compromised people, etc.

I needed the money but it just is like am I crazy or loosing my mind for still caring. Discouraging it is to see people online commenting under posts talking about safety saying "this is now over give it up". I go to work and such wearing my masks, after being in spaces where it's busy I still self isolate in between dates. I'm taking vitamins, try to support my immune system, and keep my hepa filter running. Currently I am doing all that and eatting a cough drop as i write this hoping i will remain okay. Trying to lower my own anxieties at my itchy nose and sore muscles (lifting a 2lb lens over and over is a lot). But with everyone saying fuck it, it is getting much harder to do what I need to in order to keep others safe when the amount of masks becomes less and less. Because my barely leaving the house and taking less jobs is all i can do and if every time i do leave im needing to do this, but no one else is really doing their part. Knowing doctors and nurses who just ditched all precautions makes my head spin, like WHAT.

I have asthma so, I'm taking care of myself but I do live with 3 ppl all high risk who have seemingly said well its whatever. My grandparents still wear masks at the store, my gdad if no one else is with him doesn't. I suspect my grandma at times does the same at her quilting lessons and church. My aunt, well she greets neighbors outside maskless up close and talks to the rest of city council without a mask these days. "I'm outside," as if she forgets or doesn't care that that isn't entire full proof. Many of my friends were waiting for this latest booster and I know when they finally do recieve theirs they to will drop their masks.

I'm beginning to feel helpless. I like wearing a mask, it not only keeps me and others safe but it makes my outfits elevates.

The way they are talking about it sounds like it just happened in the last week.
