Inktober 2023 Day 21-THE GIANT ARGUS PANOPTES.

-One of the primordial giants, possessing a hundred eyes and the ability to survive without sleep, Argus served the Olympian goddess Hera as her guardian, slaying the Echidna, the Mother of Monsters and to safe guard the priestess Io.

-My take was inspired by Terry Pratchett’s Discworld deity character, the (ironically named) Blind Io, with the many eyes floating about!

I actually have a Miraculous AU that I’ve been neglecting for months!

Clive is the Peacock holder.

[Exactly no one is surprised by that.]

Much of the plot still needs to be figured out, but here’s what I’m thinking at the moment: Hershel was the former guardian and passed the box onto Luke, erasing his own memory in the process. Having lost the only person who cared for and understood him, Clive, also known as Panoptes, decides to track down the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous to bring him back.

I might actually write it one day! 🧡🎩🧩

Everyone knows that the watcher's job is to simply monitor and protect the world. Particularly the players. Sometimes when a rescue is made, too much magic is released and the player starts to change. 

That’s what happened to Grian. Now it didn’t start as soon as he got dropped off on the Hermitcraft Server… well it did, but the changes were inside.

It started with a feeling. Like his depth perception was off. That escalated into something that almost felt like having his eyes closed.

Then the bumps started appearing. All across his body. Scattered down his arms and legs. Under his collar bone. On his back. They’re everywhere. They’re all different sizes. 

It’s not long after that when the bumps all get a slit across the center.

Then his eyesight goes. Everything’s so fuzzy and out of focus he doesn’t even notice the eye lashes growing alongside the slits.

A few days later he climbs out of bed and freezes. He can see again… but he can see everything. What’s behind him, On his sides, there’s no blind spots.

Running to the bathroom; thankfully the door was left open. He looks in the mirror. All hundred of his eyes look back. He blinks, the eyes blink.
