i need people to realize that mercy is basically CANONICALLY bi/pan. she isn’t straight and she isn’t a lesbian.
i’m tired of people excusing these headcanons because apparently since blizzard hasn’t confirmed it, it can’t be canon or at the very least implied.
she has CANONICAL attraction to both genji and pharah. a man and a woman. what does that mean? bi/pan.
blizzard doesn’t need to confirm it when the proof is right there in the pudding. in the literal game itself. IT IS CANON.
it’s bi/pan erasure to headcanon her as anything else. i really need people to realize that.

it's 2024. you would think we'd have moved past replying to pansexual peoples' comments by tagging panphobic hate groups by now. but nope!
Tumblr media
i looooove being randomly reminded that i'll never be accepted even in my own community. really great to know i can never truly be myself without some random asshole needing to be hostile to me /s
my anxiety is spiraling out of control now and i just feel physically ill. why can't people just mind their own damn business? why do they feel like they have to target everyone who isn't exactly like them? calling total strangers 'problematic' for identifying with a different label than you is so fucking shitty.
good fucking god, this is why i don't go on facebook as much anymore.

Sometimes, to torture myself, I look at old discourse posts, and then I find out that some of the ace discourse blogs are still active in 20fucking22. Except now they’re panphobic and transandrophobic
I love how they say “terfs dni” but they engage in terf rhetoric. terfs themselves admitted that ace exclusion is the first step towards becoming a terf. They sometimes call pansexual people a slur based on the T slur. also, gendercrits call trans people “the gender fandom.” acephobes and panphobes always say “the asexual fandom” and “the pansexual fandom,” and transandrophobia deniers call transmascs “the transandrophobia fandom.” I know y’all wanna call us trenders so bad.
You are legally allowed to make fun of people who got into ace discourse in 2017 and are somehow still around in 2022. It’s morally correct.

i feel so bad for jasmin savoy brown :( getting attacked for asking innocent questions and then getting yelled at for doubling down and continuing to call herself a lesbian despite what radfems think. black lesbians can't win, radfems have a problem with fucking everything they do

Can't believe we're still having bi/pan discourse in 2022. The people you're looking to target are biphobes. Your campaign would be much more efficient if it targeted actual biphobic rhetoric instead of like, some random pansexual person. Literally everyone would benefit from you focusing on ridding the community of biphobia instead of attacking other queer people for existing. But you're not going to do that because it's easier to attack individuals than it is to attack structural issues

Didn't get a screenshot of my initial comment before the replies got nuked by this panphobe, but it was something along the lines of "The Bay Area Bi *and Pan* network would not support panphobia".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The irony of this was that the post was about the bi manifesto (the cut down version that panphobes use with all the parts that disagree with them conveniently taken out), but OP's panphobia was easily disproven if you read a little further down. Really shows that panphobes don't actually care about "bi history" or whatever it is they claim, they just want an excuse to bully pan people. Also love that they were perfectly willing to engage with me until I made a good point and then they removed everything and pretended it didn't happen lol.

I saw something that made me deeply uncomfortable and I wanna make 1 thing crystal fucking clear. Panphobia of any kind is not tolerated. I'm angry because I saw a post regarding the bisexual manifesto that not only is OP proud of their panphobia, but half of the comments and reblogs were agreeing with that mindset. So it's time for me to educate you all.
Bisexuality and Pansexuality are interchangeable. The moment you are attracted to more than one gender, you are bisexual. You don't have to be attracted to all of them, but you are bisexual. And there are names for that spectrum of attraction, but you could be simultaneously both pan and bi. Or poly and bi.
Tumblr media
Here is a diagram from GLAAD regarding the bisexual umbrella. Never does it deny that any of the groups are bisexual.
And I know that some definitions of pansexuality infer that bisexuality is inherently transphobic which is false. But rather than informing people about that discrepancy, people have moved towards "Pansexuality is inherently biphobic" which is literally the worst take. I saw people state that the transphobic misinterpretation of bisexuality was caused by bad faith actors to split the community. So why continue that schism with panphobia???
I'm sorry that this may come off as rambling but I'm tired of seeing people spit on Pansexuality in the name of bisexuality. These are sister sexualities, if not parent and child. Pansexuality and Bisexuality are deeply intertwined and we need to start calling out panphobia that's moonlighting as actually good posts discussing biphobia/bisexuality.

Actually one thing I will say is that I think the reason why so many people identify as mspec lesbians is because of bi/aro/ace/pan discourse.
Because for a decade we had exclusionists telling us that we “weren’t gay enough.” We were constantly assigned terms like “straight passing” and told we didn’t belong in the lgbt community because they considered us straight.
What it seems is that people started saying they were bi lesbians because they thought they’d be told they weren’t “queer enough” if they identified as bisexual. And it’s really disheartening to see how the 2010’s lgbt discourse has broken many communities.
There’s nothing wrong with saying you’re bi, pan, or any other mspec identity. And it’s perfectly okay to be aro, ace, or both. You don’t need to try and prove you’re queer, because you already are.

Hello! The bi- labels are not panphobic. The pan- labels are not biphobic. Definitions evolve and change all the time, and words with similar definitions are extremely common. Life goes on and we coexist. Infighting will be the end of us, and stands against everything we believe in. Thank you! Happy pride!! 🏳️‍🌈

i think its interesting that the pan stereotype seems to be that they're all uwu AFAB nonbinary people (who're treated like they're girls who just want to feel special) when most of the pansexual people i know irl are cis guys

CW: panphobia, internalized aphobia
While Isabelly tried to force Evie to sleep with men only, she never tried to force Alex to sleep with woman, she didn't think he was worth the problem since Evie would be the one who would lead the organization.
Also, Alex is a gay sex-repulsed ace, and he has no idea ace people exist, he thinks he is broken, and he deserves a whole more lot of emotional whump to go through.

i'll never forget the day i first learned panphobia actually existed, because of this site.
i stumbled across a blog that had a glittery "this user is a proud panphobe" or w/e gif banner in their pinned post + had a carrd linked that spewed a ton of shit about how the pan orientation is invalid and even biphobic somehow??? and idk if the person of that blog made the carrd, but since it was framed as a "faq" kind of thing, i bet it's been spread around.
some people really just cannot allow others to identify with whatever labels they personally feel suit them. because...yeah sure, you definitely know this stranger better than they know themselves 🙄 always irritates me so much, and in this case i'm not even pan
