Sorry for trauma dumping in your ask box but I have no one to tell this to. I was looking up canon ages of characters from TES games and fell down a rabbit hole of the tumblr Elder Scrolls fandom where ppl are drawing Martin Septim as a black, fat, 'gay', trans man. At some point it stops being fanart and starts being original art. It's so divorced from the setting and character.

like im all for reimagining characters as something else or headcanoning things but yeah i think people try to change so many details on canon characters for the sake of this weird artificial inclusiveness? like itll be some tall average build white character in setting appropriate armor and suddenly theyre fat with tons of stretch marks and self harm scars and theyll be a female demiboy aromantic pansexual and theyll also be missing a leg and they have vitiligo and heterochromia and the artist will give them the worst fashion sense and autism and adhd and did and a religion and overall just a completely different personality.

i get the feeling there are a lot of these artists who try to add as many "ugly" and underrepresented details as they can to a character because representation but they really arent representing anything in a meaningful way. they just made their own character and shoved an absurd amount of things onto an established name and called it that same chracter. theyll put no research into what changes they made either, they just pick whatevers popular and add it to character without a second thought.

If I were to say what sexuality all the chracters are in big hero 6, Id ask the creators of the characters to answer that. But too me its up to them to be who they want when I already know how they feel. Gogo is a pretty obvious choice for me since she is the most related character to my girlfriend in big hero 6 which Gogo is pansexual

ALL (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia) is a type of blood cancer, Hepatoblastoma is a type of liver cancer and Osteochroma is a type of bone cancer.

I dont want to share too much about the story right now (both because of spoiler and because I haven't wrote much yet) but I will tell you this; the story surrounds a few groups of people trying to solve a supernatural murder mystery. Almost all those people have something in common: They are cancer survivors and they have superpowers.

In first imagining the story I was really inspired by the diviners book series (those who read it can probably guess the plot twist lmfao)

For those who dont know, I am a cancer survivor (hepatoblastoma. I had a liver transplant when I was four) so making the char ters was somewhat giving myself representation (which considering the fact that I dont know any book/show that isnt about cancer where the main characters are cancer survivors, I think I deserve that rep)

I wanna thank my mutuals for letting me show them my ocs and replying in such kind heartwarming ways. And I also wanna spesifcally thank @thefaultinourbiryanii for helping me with writhing Abira. You guys give me so much inspiration and ily ^^^^^

OMG yeeees~ I adore that piece; I first wrote it for a male!reader and then I got inspired and did a female!reader, too. It’s one of the earliest pieces I ever wrote for this fandom. Scary that it’s been nine months already... 😲

I did say that people shouldn’t change their F/O’s sexualities to suit themselves, yes, but I wrote that F/O answer several months ago and I have since changed my mind on my views. In doing my own research into self-shipping and in talking to other self-shippers, I found out that it’s widely accepted for people to change/adapt their F/Os to whichever way best suits them in any way; so long as you love your F/O, that’s all that matters. So if you’re trans and you want your F/O to be trans, too, that’s beautiful and you’re both valid! If you’re gay and you want your F/O to be gay, too, that’s amazing and you’re both valid! Self-shipping, from what I’ve been able to find out since I started to really get to know the community, is all about self-love and your F/O is whatever you want them to be! And, also - in fanfiction, people change character’s sexualities all the time for their ships etc., so self-shipping isn’t any different, as another friend pointed out when I wrote that ask.

Arthur just wants to love and to be loved for all that he is and all that he has ever been and will ever be and so, if you love him, he’ll return it tenfold. It’s... I don’t think Arthur really cares about gender, if you understand what I mean. It’s not in a nasty way, it’s just if you love him and he loves you, then that’s all he cares about. Looking at it from the context of the eighties can add complications and there’s definite signs of Arthur being sexually repressed in his journal, and I really hesitate to label someone who can’t be labelled, but I’d say that he’s pansexual if I had to pick a term to affix to a man so outside societal norms. What do you think, my love?💙 Thank you for the question! 💛

My aromantic headcanons

OKies, so I just need to ramble about characters in my favourite shows I love who I think could be on the aromantic spectrum. Generally I prefer for my headcanons to have some evidence to support them, so here we go. Also Imma be focusing on aromanticism here because that’s what I’m thinking about atm but some will include sexual orientations (which, for chracters too young to be exploring their sexuality I’m gonna say in the future, though I know it’s possible to feel sexual attraction from a younger age)

(Spoilers for Daria, Bob’s Burgers, Avata The Last AIrbender and other shows below!!)

/b/ Daria Morgendorffer : demiheteroromantic sex-repulsed asexual. /b/

Daria only ever shows interest in two boys the entire show, both of whom she got to know as friends beforehand. She seems to view romance as mostly stupid and pointless. Also the writers heavily imply that Daria is a younger version of her aunt Amy, who doesn’t apper to have or desire any long-term partner and also finds romance silly.

Also Daria and Jane are DEFINITELY in a qpr - to me their friendship is the very definition of one, and it’s a great show to demonstrate the differences between a romantic relationship, a friendship and a qpr.

/b/ Toph BeiFong : demiheteroromantic pansexual (last one in the future duh) /b/

During ATLA Tophy only really shows anything approximating romantic affection for Sokka long after they’ve become friends, and even that is hinted at only very mildly. She might be grayro, feeling romantic feelings but only weakly. In the comics it’s implied that she had romantic partners who it didn’t work out with - I think probably because she didn’t understand the emotions they were feeling.

/b/ Louise Belcher : aromantic (romance-repulsed) sex-neutral asexual (future) /b/

Louise Belcher NEVER seems interested in love or romance throughout Bob’s Burgers, except for a couple of episodes where they seem to have given her crushes literally just for the sake of “Let’s have an episode where someone acts totally out of character just to create a plotline because we’re out of ideas!” Which really pisses me off because the same seasons where she had her crush also had brilliant writing in other areas. She even wears green for crying out loud! But oh no, Compulsive Heterosexuality has to ruin everything for me...

(To clarify, I still headcanon her as aro, it’s just annoying that the show put in explicit romantic subplots for her for no reason. Also my other BB headcanon is that Bob Belcher is demisexual)

The sex-neutral asexual thing is because when she’s older I think Louise won’t see the point in sex and won’t really seek it out but will realize it’s a tool she can use to manipulate people and that’s what she’ll do with it.

/b/ Kaya and possibly Bumi from Legend of Korra - both aromantic and pansexual /b/

Small one, but they’re the only characters from Legend of Korra who never really shows an interest in romantic relationships or isn’t involved in one. You could say Bumi’s in a qpr with Bumju. Unfortunately they’re very minor characters, but I like to think that Kaya’s trying to ‘find herself’ was a journey of her trying to understand her sexual and romantic orientations, to figure out what she wanted out of life (something that must have been necessary given the huge importance put on romance in her family, where her brother Tenzin basically didn’t have the option to NOT be heterosexual and heteroromantic).

/b/ Foamy the Squirrel and basically all squirrels from Neurotically Yours /b/

Granted, Neurotically Yours is a webtoon and not a massively popular one, but I really related to the squirrel growing up. Foamy never understood his human ‘owner’ Germaine’s romantic and sexual desires and revelled in his freedom from them. None of the other squirrels in the show exhibit attractions really, except arguably Hatter.

Aaaaaand that’s basically it ...I don’t watch a lot of shows but it’s still depressing that these were all I could come up with -.-

is it normal to absolutely adore women, like, be extremely gay, have little to no attraction to guys irl, im practically a lesbian at this point. But when it comes to fictionnal chracters i tend to be more attracted to the guys and absolutely love to ship gay ships(more precicely i act almost like a straight fangirl,almost.)but like im still pansexual.

Thoughts about She’s Gotta Have It Series

I know nobody really cares what I think but since I have no one to talk about this with, I’m gonna just put my comments out into the ether lol

I definitely had doubts about the series. Even though marketers kept pushing the fact that it was about a polyamorous, pansexual, black woman, it was still a Spike Lee film. At the end of the day, he’s an older straight black man. he carries his id with him which isn’t bad. in fact, i think that’s why most ppl like his work so much. But from the films of his I have seen (esp the mess that was She Hate Me smh), the depictions of black, female sexuality have been somewhat off. Overall though, I was pleasantly surprised

- It’s a show about black people which is always nice. I also liked how they talked about the gentrification of Brooklyn. Some political discussions did seem out of place, like the commentary on Trump. It wasn’t bad to add it in. It just seemed out of nowhere

- It has queer chracters including a wlw relationship. Opal in the original She’s Gotta Have It movie was low-key kinda predatory. But this versions opal was way nicer. And didn’t seem like some lesbian just lurking around for no reason. My only problem was that Nola’s romantic relationship with Opal seemed to be on a very different level as Nola’s romantic relationship with the men. It just felt kinda weird that Nola only really considered Opal when she was getting tired with men. And then it just made no sense that Nola pursues Opal, but doesn’t really put forth much energy towards her

-Final point is about polyamory. I was really looking forward to seeing polyamorous person on screen but Nola’s just so damn childish 😬 In the original and the remake, that thanksgiving scene was just so messy. And how are you nearly 30 and can’t even keep track of your keys!!! Her communication skills are so off and she just comes off as selfish. Like it’s great to own your sexuality and live by your terms but she’s also just blatantly dismissive of her partner’s feelings. Especially Mars. He’s actually nice to her and she’s always yelling at him. I just hope in the next season, Nola grows up a little. Personally, I think it would be nice to see a polyamorous person who honest, open, and actually willing to grow with her partner(s).

All in all, the characters esp Nola aren’t perfect which is fine but it was a pretty good series. I think it really built upon the original and even tho I’ll probably forget what happened if/when the second season comes around, i’d definitely recommend
